Guest Reviews
- John (7/5): Comfortable, but watch out for extra charges! - Location was great, and the one or two staff on-site were very helpful. Room was well appointed. A mandatory 10 tip for staff on a $1,500.00 bill for three nights is robbery, island style. Especially when I tipped the maid $10 a day and only learned of the Mandatory charge at checkout. It was not on the website and I can guarantee you it is not going to the one or two staff there a day. Counting the number of rooms multiplied by $500 a night rates, someone is pocketing over $600.00 a day in tips. These rates may have been high for a sporting event, but I don't agree with mandatory service charges when taxes and rates are so high.

- Top Lage, sehr nettes Personal, stilvoll eingerichtet,
- Karim (6/5): Mediocre - Didn’t have time Hook on bathroom door fell off when I hung my towel on it. The ceiling lamp fixture in the center of the room is way too low, I hit it at least 3-4 times, super uncomfortable and just odd. Room is small which is fine but space is not used well at all, getting to the window is awkward and the bathroom door just blocks you…. It should use the space smarter for this price , need better design. Desk chair is uncomfortable. Rug in room feels dirty
- Barbara (9/5): - lokalizacja , pokój delux. bardzo skromne śniadania
- nigel (9/5): Friendly and comfortable - Great place convenient with friendly staff
- Antony (9/5): - Big spacious rooms, good location. Nothing.
- Elizabeth (10/5): -
- Debra Wiles (10/5): Stay here!!! - Breakfast was plentiful and good quality. There was a good choice on the menu.
I loved the 5 pm 'cheese and wine' which gave you the opportunity to mingle with the other guests.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the decor (including a very cosy woodfire) was beautiful.
My room was on the ground floor and right next to the social room. It wasn't too noisy so that would depend on one's sensitivities. The room was well furnished and well equipped. I loved my short stay here but would definitely stay here for longer next time as it was so central to everything including the bus terminal giving access to the whole island.
I cannot recommend Oxford House highly enough! It was perfect!
- Harada (9/5): Very cosy and good location for business. - Very cosy and great hospitality. A bit limited valuations on the breakfast.
- Donald (10/5): -
- Guy (10/5): My stay could not have been better ! - Everything
- Roger (10/5): Awesome. - This is an excellent well located hotel. Staff are super helpful especially Tata and Rebecca along with Francis. The light breakfast was good and the evening cocktail hour excellent. Rooms were beautiful, clean and with all facilities we needed. Everything felt new and modern. We stayed for 6 nights and wished it could have been longer. Thank you to each one of the members of the Oxford House team. Roger and Lesley from Australia. We couldn’t stay longer.
- Sascha (8/5): Definitely again!!! -
- Bill (10/5): - The location, right in town.
- doune (10/5): Fabulous hotel with great facilities - Very clean and comfortable. Fantastic sized rooms. Great location Nothing comes to mind
- Vygandas (8/5): -
- Rudolph (10/5): - absolutely love this place
- Jose (10/5): - Very clean and nice personnel Nothing to complain
- Paul (10/5): -
- Damis (7/5): -
- Mareen (10/5): Perfect! - The charm, location and warm hospitality. Tata was an outstanding hostess/property manager.
Her attention to detail at check-in, her providing a beautiful “Happy Hour”, and then a warm & delicious breakfast, was beyond appreciated…thank you Tata for making us feel right at home!
- Patricia (10/5): Delightful staff, charming elegance, - Clean, great central location, and charming. Gracious staff! Perhaps missed a pool but that wouldn’t keep me from rebooking here.
- Tami (8/5): Terrific locale for navigating Bermuda - Convenient location to ferry and bus terminals. Room was spacious, bed comfy and shower had nice hot water . Complimentary breakfast as well. Rachel who worked there was awesome but didn’t get to interact with her till almost the end of my trip. No pool but you could use sister property’s pool which was nice . No hot food at breakfast. AC in room made the room really cold . Fine during hot day but freezing at night. Staff was pleasant but not interactive or engaging much in conversation. The girl that checked me in was cold and told me to use my phone to read about the property and getting around Bermuda. No offer to show me a map highlight or anything. I was traveling by myself first time to Bermuda spending almost $4,000 to stay and she couldn’t be bothered to help me . I was there to celebrate my 55th birthday and they all knew it and did nothing special for me and didn’t even say Happy Birthday. The guy who worked there would say Hello but if I tried to ask him a question felt like I was a bother
- James (10/5): - If I could give this property 10 stars I would! Everything at this property is fantastic. The rooms are well appointed and modern. The staff is so helpful and bend over backwards to accommodate. The location of this property is convenient to the bus station and the ferry. Plus eating establishments on Front Street.
- Janiecia (10/5): - I stayed at Oxford House for a business trip and this quaint accommodation was perfect. Staff were professional, rooms were cleaned daily and within walking distance to the business centre. The continental breakfast could use a bit more variety and the bed was a bit tougher for my liking but overall a great stay and I would return.
- Sophia (10/5): - Convenient location; friendly staff Can’t think of anything
- Vait (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marc (10/5): Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Hamilton with Most Enjoyable Happy Hour - Venerable B&B with renovated room and ensuite bathroom on upper floor with a shared outdoor terrace that nobody but us seemed to use while we were there; small-ish but well curated buffet breakfast, including a tasty quiche that could be warmed up; wonderful international clientele to meet and converse with at the daily happy hour, which made the hotel feel like a real escape from the U.S.; nice garden with seating areas; ability to use the facilities of its sister hotel (the Royal Palms). N/A
- Shaneil (10/5): - Excellent location for a business trip in Hamilton Bermuda. I love the colonial style, the room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was modern and clean. Very short walk to the Ferry and lots of dining option around. Easy to grab a tax from there as well.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - I prefer more meat / cheese for breakfast, but it was perfectly fine and convenient.
The happy hour is a nice touch.
The staff is friendly.
Room is clean and comfortable.
- Annie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (10/5): - Super
- Neil (10/5): - Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast more than sufficient and wine at 5:00 a nice touch. Only slight disappointment was that sound travelled from upstairs rooms to our room on the ground floor.
- Gabriella (10/5): Best Quality B&B in Hamilton - Clean, large room! Great breakfast and Happy Hour food! Staff are wonderful and helpful. Laundry facilities are wonderful to have and they folded the clothes well so they were nicely pressed. Nothing that we didn’t like.
- Mariale (8/5): Very good -
- Gregory (10/5): Brilliant, comfortable stay in great location. - Loved the location, people, cleanliness and especially the free happy hour with drinks and lite bites. The rooms were excellent in size with great WiFi, connectivity, bathrooms were good size and beds were large and very comfortable. Would have loved a pool but cannot have everything.
- Oliver (8/5): Very good -
- John (9/5): Very interesting island and relaxing. - Staff were helpful, friendly and responsive. Each evening complimentary wine, beer & snacks were available and allowed guest to interact with each other. Breakfast selections while not extensive were a good assortment of breads, cereals, pastries, yogurt & fruit with choice of coffee, tea and juices. There were numerous restaurants & pubs within walking distance as was the central bus station and ferry terminal. The room had just been renovated and was very comfortable. We had very minor issues with the TV remote, the shower door guide and the door lock was stiff. All these were corrected quickly by the staff.
- Anchi (10/5): Exceptional - We have wonderful experience staying at here. Thanks for the Oxford House, Ms. Tata and team :)
- Lorelay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin Deane Mackenzie (6/5): - The Oxford House is fairly central. There was construction going on while we were there in March 2025, but that wasn’t too much of an issue. It was quite clean and our room was a good size and seemed to have been renovated recently. It was a first floor room, too close to the street.
They had a breakfast service that wasn’t good, marginally better than you’d expect on an airplane.
We stayed there because the Princess was full and we wanted to be in town.
- Bill (9/5): A quiet, elegant place to stay in Hamilton - The location is excellent for those wishing to the avoid the corporate ambiance of the Hamilton Princess. And if you just walk down the hill the Princess right there for a drink or meal. The first floor where breakfast is served has an elegant old-world feel. It has no restaurant but classic Hamilton venues like Portofino and Little Venice are just a couple of blocks away. For the price of the stay the breakfast could have been better but was quite adequate.
- Steve (10/5): Wonderful staff and facility, very walkable to ferry dock, shopping and restaurants. AAAAA - Continental breakfast was a nice complimentary touch. Nothing to add here
- Samantha (10/5): - Apart from the construction noise it was a great stay. The staff is amazing
- Duncan (10/5): It is my 'go to' place on the island. A sanctuary with lovely, caring staff. - Oxford House is my first choice of accommodation when I am in Bermuda. The staff are lovely, always give me a warm welcome, do anything they can for you and more. They are so accommodating and helpful. It really feels like a second home and seeing friends again. Perfect location for the office and a lovely, little boutique place with an atmosphere and escape from the often overwhelming and less personal feel of the larger hotels in Hamilton and around the island. There was some renovation work going on that started quite early but that is the only time I have ever experienced that in the many times I have stayed at Oxford House and it wasn't too much of an issue and these things have to be done from time to time and I was warned that the work was being carried out immediately upon my arrival.
- Wayne (9/5): Enjoyed it greatly - Breakfast was fine. The daily happy hour was great. The staff were very accommodating. The location was very central. There were renovations being done, but the noise happened when we were out being tourists.
- Edward (9/5): Superb -
- Neil (9/5): Would recommend and stay again - Great location. 200m from Front Street. Ongoing building work during the days
- Lesley-anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Duncan (10/5): Exceptional -
- yan (10/5): - Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Great transportation nearby. We enjoyed the breakfast and happy hour as well. Overall quality is excellent.
- Melinda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jixun (10/5): Cozy - Location is excellent in Hamilton , the staff is very friendly . Breakfast included , I think it’s very pleasant stay
- Joanne (10/5): Comfortable and beautiful sureoundings. - Wonderfully peaceful location. Breakfast included was a bonus. Staff were courteous.
- Louis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helstein (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (10/5): - Very clean, with very nice decor and staff was so accommodating
- Anthony (8/5): - Always my favorite place to stay in Hamilton
- MUJDE (10/5): - Very kind & helpful staff, clean, new room & comfy bed. Location is the best, close to shops, dining, bus and ferry!
- Johannes (9/5): Superb -
- Prudance (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): - Wine and cheese when you arrive back? Breakfast delivered to your door? Urm... yes please!
This is the best place I've stayed in ages. Everything screams quality, even down to the front door - which rivals the quality of 10 Downing Street.
The staff are amazing too. They were really flexible allowing me to check out later for my evening flight.
Cannot recommend it enough - this is the place to stay.
- Tomoko (9/5): Superb -
- Louis (8/5): Very good -
- Avissa (10/5): Exceptional - We love everything about the Oxford House, especially the staff. Couldn't have asked for a better team. The first room, #3, was way too small for 2 people
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (7/5): It was cut short due to bank difficulties - The room was clean and perfect. The price of the room for 1 night is OUTRAGEOUS.
- Nancy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Subhasis (9/5): Superb - Location and cleanliness No hot items at breakfast
- Cristian (10/5): Great value for a great stay in Bermuda. - Great location. Super clean and very comfy room. Great bed and big tv. The breakfast could be better having more options with the fruits.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Sabrina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rod (9/5): Superb - Location, cleanliness, style, customer service, quality of bedding and furnishings, the relaxed yet attentive staff. Nothing to dislike. Oxford House is beautiful and the customer service superb.
- Hewitt (8/5): Quaint property - highly recommended - Quaint property with excellent breakfast & happy Hour included
- Barbara (10/5): - Staff was exceptional. Met me outside the facility and knew my name. personal touch
- Michael (10/5): Excellent can't wait to go back! - Breakfast was just right as well as happy hour at 5 it was nice to start the day and catch up with the other guests to share experiences about the island.
The location was perfect, very convenient. Bathroom was a bit small, but wouldn't deter us to stay there again.
- Wayne (9/5): Great central location, clean, nice rooms, amazing staff but at a very high price point. - Great central location, clean, nice rooms, and staff amazing. The price per night is a little unreasonable, especially given there are no amenities on site like a pool, gym, etc.
- Michelle (10/5): Room and staff were beyond what was expected - Loved the location
Staff were exceptional
Definitely if we return to Bermuda this will be our preferred stay N/a
- Daniel (8/5): Perfect for business travelers that want a central location - The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well presented and always super clean . Location is very central in Hamilton, it's perfect for business travelers that don't want to pay the extortionate rates at the Princess. The breakfast is simple with a choice of cereals, breads, fruit, juices, etc.. I have stayed here many times and if I have one wish it would be see more variety with breakfast offerings.
- Delhaise (9/5): Superb -
- Gianna (10/5): Exceptional - Everything N/a
- Yingqian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (10/5): - The property was beautifully appointed with luxury items in the room and bathroom, above expectation. Highly recomend the property. Staff super friendly and helpful.
- Christopher (9/5): Superb -
- Chait (10/5): - Nice and quiet guesthouse, very clean and great staff
- Florent (9/5): Very good stay, I would definitely come back. - Really appreciated the daily complimentary happy hour. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Everything was so well thought, and the AC and lights were on when entering the room. The price is high, but this is Bermuda!
- Edwards (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (9/5): Superb -
- Mjadu (7/5): Good -
- Kara (8/5): Warm, welcoming find that we'd enjoy again - We were delightfully surprised by our last-minute accommodation at the Oxford House. We unexpectedly had to stay another night in Bermuda (oh darn, right?) and the staff could not have been more welcoming, and the bed extremely comfortable. We appreciated the cozy conditions and assistance from staff throughout. We could have used blackout curtains in the room -- the building next door had a motion-detecting outdoor light that was visible despite the closed drapes.
- Edward (9/5): would stay there again! - it was as promoted and as anticipated! n/a
- Elisha (8/5): Loved it , staff was very attentive but would definitely like a softer mattress. - Liked everything especially the light continental breakfast. The brand of coffee you have at your qlguest house was simply divine. Only criticism is that the mattress in my.roo. was far to firm for.me to be and also my guest.
I'm 17 wks pregnant and I barely got any sleep.
Nor did my guest get much sleep as we was both tossing and turning all night.
- Lauren (10/5): We would go back without hesitation! - More than perfect for a quiet, clean stay ideal for honeymooners or a couples get away!
- Marek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anusha (8/5): It was ok, but I would not return to this property again. - The property is in a great location and the staff are super nice. The property is very old, very small bathroom, ants all over the bathroom. The breakfast is cheap supermarket baked goods, and fruit options are apple or orange but actually is tiny apples and mandarines. :-)
- Don (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (8/5): Very good - Staff Not much.
