- David (10/5): - beautiful property, many rooms with great views, clean and well kept grounds and a great staff. Walkable into town, bike friendly and balmy climate compared to the oceanfront or cities. Great place, but I do have a couple of suggestions to improve the already lovely ambiance: 1) adjust your light fixtures to reduce glare - would have liked to enjoy dinner on the patio at night without a light shining in my eyes no matter where I sat and I had to toss a shirt over my room's bedlamps to use them without being blinded, and the manicured grounds are illuminated so brightly at night that it's impossible to appreciate the nightime beauty of the surroundings. 2) I mentioned the manicured ornamental landscaping. The Inn might better showcase El Valle's unique micro-ecosystem curating flora selections and sculpting terroir inviting the local fauna to join us as fellow guests!!

There is nice and easy trail right next to the property that gives you a panoramic view of El Valle de Anton. Pristine gardens, a swimming pool and an on site restaurant give you everything you need to relax. The rooms are spacious, so are the bathrooms with hot water available all the time.

- Marcel (8/5): - This place was a very nice stay but wifi did not work in our room until the last night and even then it was spotty. As a result we couldn't watch tv and had to stay in the lobby to work. It has beautiful lush grounds with a lot of birds and we were able to find a few mangoes on the property. The staff was ok but did the complete opposite of what my wife asked for on her omelette. The server did make it right so overall a good stay.

They were able to accommodate us a day earlier than expected and were always extremely responsive when reach out via whats app. No one in my party wanted to leave. It’s a must stay!

The hotel is located quite a distance from the town and walkable amenitiea. We rented a car and it was a short driving distance to all over town. But we noticed other guest having to call and wait for a taxi.

Excellent setting and ambiance with lush gardens and wonderful views of the mountains. Very good restaurant. Would definitely recommend. Antonio at the front desk gave professional and friendly service all around and Carina at the restaurant was fast and courteous.

- Lara (10/5): - What a paradise we found at the Golden Frog. We were greeted with a welcome drink and escorted to our room which overlooked a rain forest. Butterflies and hummingbirds everywhere. The sounds of nature rivaled a BBC documentary. The pool was a little cool but felt great after being hot in the Panama rain forest. The property was extremy clean and the the staff very helpful and available. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!

- Gordon (10/5): - This is a very nice place staffed by some of the best people I have encountered anywhere. I had room #1 with a kitchen which I wasn't expecting and barely used except for the fridge. This room was a bit more of a showplace than a functional room because while there were 2 small tables; one that I used as a desk had display items on it like 2 big plates and another thing that I had to put in the closet so I could use it pulled over to the bed to sit on - no chair. (I was told later that they could have brought me a chair.) The pool looked nice, although I didn't use it. The breakfast was very nice indeed and was ordered from a menu giving lots of choices. I had a rental car so most nights I went to town for dinner but the one night I did eat there, I was unimpressed with the food, service was fine. I think the girls were happy that I tried to use my limited Spanish with them & they all spoke very good English with those that didn't try.

The hotel staff was friendly, the food at the restaurant was good, and the room was clean and comfortable. Bonus points for our balcony with beautiful views of the lush surroundings and the cute dogs and cats on the grounds.
- Lauren (10/5): Charming inn in El Valle - The golden frog inn is nothing short of absolutely charming. I was there with my parents, my husband and my kids and it was delightful. The food was great, the views were spectacular and the folks who work there are lovely.

The room was modern and clean. Nice bedding, soft luxurious towels. Mini-fridge was a plus. We loved it so much we booked an additional night.
- Mark (10/5): Second Stay at Golden Frog - This was my second stay at Golden Frog- and I will stay at Golden Frog again when I next visit Valle de Anton. The rooms are spacious and very reasonable priced. The complimentary breakfast is excellent. The location is quiet, but accessible to all points of interest in El Valle. I have only positives to say about The Golden Frog Inn.

Not only is the hotel in a phenomenally beautiful place with gorgeous landscaping, the onsite restaurant served top-notch meals and accommodated our dietary restrictions. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and when we arrived they had decorated our room with balloons, confetti, and fresh bougainvillea petals. I highly recommend the Golden Frog Inn!

Good location, but not walkable into town (a car is a must). El Valle is cute and pleasant though you won't find gourmet restaurants here (ye).

We found the food to be somewhat lacking, but generally acceptable, although the price was too high for us. Thankfully, there is an astounding number of restaurants in the valley. Sadly, the TV only had cable and the WiFi was in and out. The bathroom was very nice, but it lacked ventilation. The bed was big and comfortable, but the lighting lacked dim options. Our favorite things about the Inn were the view from our balcony and the lobby/patio area.

- David (8/5): Lovely small hotel - This is a lovely hotel in a quiet location on the edge of town. The rooms are spacious and ours was recently renovated. The restaurant was very good and the breakfasts were excellent. No pool was available because it was being fixed. You may want to check the pool has been repaired and is open.

I totally enjoyed my stay. It was so refreshing to be here in El Valle away from Panama City. Loved the scenery and the birds. Everyone was very nice, including a permanent resident there. - Barbara (10/5): - A very beautiful picturesque setting with great weather, friendly staff, a lovely pool to sit beside or swim in. I’m missing it already. Would definitely go back fand recommend. The included breakfast is also very good and served on a lovely deck overlooking the mountains and pool. The town of Valle de Antón is also nice with coffee shops and restaurants especially La Ranita, which had great food and a most gregarious and attentive owner. I think his name is Petyr, or close to that. Also an interesting vegetable and flower market and a handicrafts market as well. A very nice spot for a quiet and relaxing vacation. Families loved this hotel. A fair number of well behaved children about.
- Jeana (8/5): - We had a great room #2 We had a kitchen, and full bath and a wonderful covered porch overlooking the pool with table, chairs & Hammock. Be aware there is no A/C I missed this, the room was unbearable during the day, but it cooled down and was breezy at night so with windows open sleeping was fine other than they are buildling something behind this unit for privacy they hung a black tarp problem was it was very breezy at night so it was very loud with the window open. The breakfast was great with lots of options, We also had the nachos one day for lunch they were great. The pool area was beautiful but only a few chairs - so we did not hang out there much, luckily our roomms porch was close. Would stay again, hopefully no construction behind the room next time.

- Andy (10/5): - Our accommodation (room #1) is a well appointed funky-folksy home away from home. It includes a big covered front porch area, with comfy chairs, a table, hammock, and lots of greenery and flowers, and a great view of the pool and surrounding gardens. The room is large with a queen size bed, side tables and lamps. There’s also a couch and a big ceiling mounted flatscreen tv. There’s also a small kitchenette with fridge and appliances. The bathroom is not large, but big enough for all the essentials. The shower is large and has good water pressure and hot water.

If renting a room with kitchen, please bring your own paper towel and dish soap. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The hotel serves delicious included breakfast. Service was great, they really helped hook me up with a guide for a hike I wanted to do last minute. Food was decent, not great. Rooms were large and nice. Overall, I recommend this place.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was beautiful with a nice view on the mountains. Very quiet since out of the main noisy Street and surrounded by trees and plants of all kind. The restaurant was also providing delicious food for a reasonable price and the breakfast was great with fresh produce and specials cooked just for you. Also, the (free) happy hour was a very nice surprise.
- Parisa (10/5): - Such a wonderful hotel made even better by the awesome staff. Stunning views, close to town and the market. They have free bikes available for use, and we rode bikes to the market and different restaurants. You can also bike quickly to the butterfly house. We rented a car, and parking at the hotel was easy. It’s about a ten minute drive from the hotel to the India Dormida, painted rocks, and the look out. Free breakfast was a fruit, meat and cheese, bread spread plus one pick from the menu like scrambled eggs or waffles. Happy hour comes with one drink included as well. The landscaping is so colorful and lush. I want to go back already! 5 stars!

Location was awesome (a short drive into town) and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you so much for such a memorable stay!

- Howard (8/5): Delightful Hotel in El Valle de Anton - Lovely hotel and grounds in El Valle; up in the mountains about 2 hrs by car from Panama City. Great feature is the evening Happy Hour, which brings folks from town as well as those staying in the hotel. Beautiful pool, although with the very cool climate might not be most used. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast as well. Nice place to stay if one wants to escape the heat of Panama city.
