Guest Reviews
- Alana (10/5): Quite happy overall an A - Clean. Good late night check in experience
- Debra (10/5): -
- Yvonne (9/5): - Bathroom door was nasty, tub to small
- dougcR5312GI (10/5): Home2 - Great breakfast and front desk ! Close to the interstate.
- Issac (1/5): This needs to be fixed. - Absolutely nothing . The bed sheet was VERY worn out, there was black stuff all over the window curtain and lamp shades, the bathroom shower was nasty and had a small bug inside, the toilet was nasty and the towels felt very hard.
The kitchen part always was making a lot of noise. We had a King Suite.
As well as the people we had upstairs above us was ALWAYS stomping and being incredibly loud. Our key card was not wanting to work sometimes either!
The first day we got there the hotel check in was at 3pm. We got there at 3:10 and they told us our room was not ready. So we came back 15 minutes later it was ready. When we went up to our room 225 there was a maintenance man in there doing something.. even though we were told our room was ready. We waited another 10 minutes for the guy to finish. The first day we were there the guy at the front desk was very rude and not welcoming at all! The second day I went down for breakfast and the breakfast was terrible. Bacon was very greasy and just overall shame. The lady at the front desk that day was very friendly and nice but other than that the whole stay was very sad for us.
- amberhC7271DG (10/5): Excellent experience - The location was ideal and the hotel was very welcoming and clean.. I enjoyed the warmth of the staff.. My room was very clean and very comfortable during my stay… I would stay again. The property was quiet and the people were friendly as well.. i enjoyed the gym and the kids loved the indoor pool..
- Guest (7/5): -
- Murdock (10/5): - The room was very spacious for my group of 5. They accommodate us very well. The breakfast was top tier. Probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I've seen. There was nothing I didn't like about our stay.
- emilywA9742HJ (10/5): The best hotel & Manager ever. - Excellent hotel, I really loved the manager, Maggie’s service, her energy was so great and she was super nice. The best manager ever, super funny and super cool. The rooms were fresh and clean, the soaps were so nice and made my hair so luscious, the ice was cold, and I even had a really good breakfast after my stay. I went to visit family, and hang out and enjoy the sights on Red Top mountain. Thanks for my amazing stay, will definitely come back.
- dougcJ7935CL (10/5): Really enjoyed Home2 suites in cartersville Ga - Very kind and helpful. Really enjoyed the hospitality and the breakfast was on time and good. All in all I would recommend this hotel ❤️❤️
- Davis (10/5): - The property was very clean and very easy to locate.
- Shana (8/5): -
- Jacob (3/5): Sub-standard for chain hotels, plus extra uncleanliness below that! :( - Location is decent. The kitchenette is helpful. Cockroaches. Two of them during my stay. The hotel only has very soft pillows, no firm ones. They come in every day to "replace towels" but actually just refolded the dirty ones and left them in the room.
- Ana Isabel (10/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): - Friendly staff, spacious clean hotel and room.
- Tetsuya (10/5): -
- VeSherica (10/5): wonderful & we will return - they allowed me to call & pay in advance & an hour earlier check in i loved everything except the breakfast but the kids were satisfied
- Samuel (10/5): Affordable stay - The room was comfortable, clean, and decorated nicely. We loved the modern features, the kitchenette, and that the room was able to sleep 6. Trying to find rooms with enough sleeping space for our family of 6 was a struggle with other places but this hotel fit us all comfortably. No cons.
- J5434VPmissm (2/5): Terrible - As you can see in the picture, the common areas were very dirty, elevator, floor stepping off the elevator, my carpet in my room was nasty, we had a hole in the sheet!!!! Which is pictured. The person at the front desk had t do much from sitting on the phone in the back… I can’t believe it was a Hilton
- Michael (8/5): - Clean and comfortable The breakfast was terrible
- Dave (9/5): -
- Carrie (5/5): Nice but water issue as crazy - Location Had water pouring out of shower light fixtures at 4-6am
- G778BTjor (10/5): Excellent stay! - The breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent. Our rooms were very clean and tidy along with the entire hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful with extra supplies that were needed . We had a great stay and will stay again when passing through.
- Pamela (10/5): - Very clean , nice beds and pillows Need better parking to accommodate trucks with utility trailers
- Sekondi (10/5): - Yes
- Christopher (10/5): - Cleanness, easy access to pool, gym and laundry area.
- Justin (2/5): - Too noisy loud music to 2am then the garbage truck at 3:25. In addition to that one of the elevators was broken.
- Juanita (10/5): - Room was spacious and clean. Parking good. Near highway. Quiet and safe.
- Brandy (4/5): - The bathroom had mold on the walls and ceiling and they were not accommodating when we needed to extend our stay.
- william (10/5): -
- Mollie (8/5): - Good safe interstate stop.
- Blair (9/5): -
- Carolyn (8/5): Time to self - The kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator and table, the office space, the bed, and breakfast. The outdated bathroom and wobble short toilet.
- Julie (10/5): - Right off the highway. We love the size of Home2 suites. Nice breakfast too Nothing.
- Joseph (10/5): - Easy check in and out
- Steve (10/5): - The room was very spacious.
- Seaside30170990519 (6/5): - Extremely Disappointing Stay – Poor Management and Unacceptable Conditions
We stayed at this hotel for five nights this summer, fully aware that it regularly hosts large groups, particularly sports teams attending events at LakePoint. Given that, I expected the hotel to be prepared for high occupancy. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
The breakfast area was consistently understocked, with food items rarely replenished—regardless of when we went down in the morning. Our room was cleaned only once during our entire stay, and we were offered clean towels just one time. Basic housekeeping and hygiene were clearly not a priority.
Numerous guests complained to the front desk about mold, bugs, and poor room conditions. The manager’s response—or lack thereof—was dismissive and apathetic.
This hotel functions more like an extended stay property, and many guests were eating fast food regularly. With rooms not being cleaned, piles of trash and used, damp towels were left in the hallways for hours, sometimes nearly a full day, before being removed. The overall atmosphere felt dirty and neglected.
We've stayed at other locations under this hotel brand and never had an issue. This property, however, is clearly suffering from poor management and a lack of basic hospitality standards. I cannot recommend staying here until significant improvements are made.
- Diamonel (10/5): - Love Love Love
- Antwan (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay
- Carol (1/5): Horrible management - The night manager gave my room away. I had a reservation and I showed him on my phone. They input in the system that I can canceled which is untrue. I drove 8 hrs at night to arrive and my room had been given away even though I showed them the reservation on my phone. I had my 11 year old son in the car and had to call around at 11pm to find another room which was more expensive. Then I was told to call booking.com to get a refund. Totally unacceptable.
- Adam (6/5): - Elevator was not working properly it was difficult getting up and down the steps with a healing foot. I did not get the cheaper rate that others in my same party received for a basketball trip. Theirs was over $100'cheaper.
- Johnna (10/5): Overall I love this place - Staff was friendly and nice Pools lights were floating in the pool.
- Linda (5/5): Okay, next to a Texas Roadhouse which was excellent! - Breakfast was less than expected. Advertisement said bar lounge, there was no bar or lounge.
- Stacy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lovett (9/5): Superb -
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Very nice location. At least 10 minutes away from the main city.
- Corina E (4/5): - Just not the stabdards that i am used to with home2
- Mary (8/5): I don't think I'll choose Home2 in the future. - The hotel room was great! The breakfast wasn't great. The staff member was too busy talking to management instead of attending to the breakfast items. Most items were almost empty. Furthermore, there were no knives available to spread cream cheese on our bagels. The attendant said the hotel doesn't supply knives. I watched everyone having breakfast using their spoons or forks to spread cream cheese or even butter. This is ridiculous! Hampton Inns have a much better breakfast than the Home2 Suites!
- Rose (8/5): Stay was comfortable . Room very spacious. - Only negative was check in . The front desk person had left for a personal emergency. They had someone from a nearby hotel who had come in to help in that persons absence. He was the only person checking ppl in along with help from the general manager who was on speaker phone helping him. The person did well and was very nice but I still am amazed that someone could just desert the front desk without having someone to take over. Very strange.
- Patrick (8/5): Very good -
- Kari (7/5): Good -
- Melissa (5/5): Passable - Had plenty of space and a pull out couch for family of 5 Upon arrival we couldn’t check in for awhile as the employee had left as she had an emergency and there was not even one employee to help. Someone did eventually come after awhile with about 10 people waiting .. our room had areas that were not clean the door handle on bathroom had something on it (food?gum?). Otherwise was good.
- John (10/5): Great hotel for large family - Fantastic hotel, very nice kitchen and bathroom.sofabed and footstool is great!
- Treva (3/5): No sleep and restless night. - Room was spacious and plenty of room. Clean and bed was comfortable. People above me checked in late abs woke me up in middle of night. Kids jumping, screaming, doors slamming. Called to from desk if they could advise to hold down they said call back in 10mins. Called again, No answer! Next morning the noise started all over again at 7:30am. No sleep!!!!! Tired for remainder of my visit to GA, thank GOD I only booked 1 night there.
- George (8/5): Very good -
- Kirolous (8/5): friendly staff , breakfast could be better - staff and cleanliness Visa machine was not working, breakfast could be better
- Joseph (2/5): - Rooms were clean uncomfortable bed, air conditioner didn’t work during the night - too hot in the room, breakfast was pitiful, not enough food or staff to cook it. No manager on duty at 730 am. We will not go back.
- Felton (10/5): It was a very nice hotel - It was quite and a very nice building all around When I first arrived, the receptionist told me I owed more money because the booking company didn’t charge me enough. He was kind enough to try to help me call the booking site I booked through. After maybe 30 mins of waiting and trying to get connected with the booking company which was a fail, I agreed to just pay it upfront and contact the booking company later. The next morning when I was returning the room key, I talked to the morning receptionist on duty and she said the booking company HAD charged me the correct amount and what I paid last night was refunded. So basically I lost 30 mins of my life/time after driving HOURS to stand and go back and forth trying to get an understanding as to why I wasn’t charged the correct amount in the beginning.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Staff excellent N/a
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast could have been better. But overall, it's really lovely!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Bad mattress, felt old. Not a good breakfast
- Keith (2/5): Discusting - The convenience of the area The roaches in my bed, kitchen and bathroom. I tried to tell the staff and they were just like we have to let booking.com know
- Emily (10/5): - Staff was very nice, considerate, and welcoming.
- Stuart (3/5): Disappointing, to say the least. Won't be back! - Location. Very Noisy, the rooms and floors are so thin, you can hear everything. my upstairs neighbors decided it was a good time to stomp up and down their room at 4am ..
Hotel floors, elevators were dirty.
Breakfast was garbage. Limited selection, and what could go wrong with a waffle? er.. yeah right.. it was terrible.
- Krystal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robin (9/5): Superb -
- Wander821950 (2/5): TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT AT HOTEL! - STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! Check-in was a nightmare. Rates were supposed to be AARP rates, but varied by more than $100 each night. Checked out early, but was charged for the night, after being told I would not be. Attempts to get it rectified were not responded to after multiple phone calls, emails, commmunications with Hilton Guest Services, and even the hotel management company. When attempting to call the hotel, someone would answer and then hang up.
- Cory (6/5): Pleasant - Location There was food and an empty carton of Bud light left in the fridge.
- ayla (6/5): Not staying again. - Bugs on ceilings and windows, some bedding dirty, dirty underwear left in bathroom, floors stained, chairs stained. Pool bathroom disgusting and out of toilet paper. Ash trays outside overflowing.
- googler611 (2/5): Nasty hotel - Hotel has cockroaches and is very nasty. Mgmt unwilling to help. Floors dirty and hair in beds. Room smells musty and air conditioning hardly worked. Offered us a new room then sold it following day. Robert would never call us back. Hotel has gone way down.
- Tiffany (8/5): - Nice big rooms!
- trixiehart (2/5): Wish I had read reviews. Awful breakfast, rude staff, poor management. - Check-in went well. Night desk clerk was very nice. Room smelled fresh, and hotel was quiet.
Went to the included “breakfast.” No juice, milk dispenser broken. A toaster with 3 slices of bread next to it. 4 apples wrapped in plastic. A waffle maker with no batter. Quaker instant oatmeal packets, Teaneck coffee. There was an English muffin pre-cooked with some sort of egg on it, which was rock hard. I asked the attendant for something to drink. She said that her manager hasn’t ordered it, so it’s her fault.
I went to the front desk to complain, as the breakfast was inedible, not stocked, and nothing to drink. I asked, “What am I paying for?” And asked for a partial refund. She gave me a bottled water, and told me her manager would return in 2 days.
Other people were lined up to complain. She was rude to all.
We checked out that day. She told me the manager would call me. It has been over 2 weeks. Called Hilton Customer service to complain. They said that I should wait for the manager to call, and the have no control over it. They did give me 10,000 points.
I filed a dispute with my credit card company, so hopefully, I will get a response.
There are plenty of other cheaper hotels in the area. Save some money, and stay elsewhere.
- Gordon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mrutyunjaya (8/5): Very good -
- Vitally3 (2/5): Disgusting incomplete breakfast. Rude employees who blamed it on regional manager. - Hotel seemed nice when we walked in. Hotel was quiet, despite being sold out.
Went for breakfast in the morning. No juice, milk machine not working. Another guest went to the front desk where clerk gave him bottled water.
There was instant oatmeal, but no spoons. 2 waffle makers, but no batter to make waffles. I asked the attendant for batter, and she walked away. The other guest again went to the front desk, and the clerk found the attendant to get batter. There were 2 slices of wrapped bread available with a toaster. There as also a premade sandwich—English muffin with an egg. Nearly broke a tooth on the English muffin and spit it out. We attempted to get a reservation at a different hotel, but there was a sports conference in town, and nothing was available. We were stuck at this place.
On our second day, we ate at McDonald’s next-door. On the third morning, we tried again. Again, there was no juice. We asked the attendant again, and she snapped back, “it’s on back order. The regional manager is supposed to order it and she hasn’t done it.“ I suggested that they go next-door to the convenience store to buy orange juice for the guests, and she said, “take it up with the regional manager.“
We were told that the manager would be coming in at 9 AM on Monday morning. At 10:15 when we were checking out, there was no manager. The desk clerk explained, “we don’t have a general manager because we’re undergoing renovations. We do have a regional manager – – she was supposed to be here today, but might not be here till Wednesday. Don’t worry. I’ll have her call you later today.”
I’m writing this on Wednesday night, and I clearly have not heard from the manager. We have complained to corporate, but they asked us to let the manager handle it.
Nobody cares – – not the Front desk, clerk, the breakfast, attendant, the manager, or even corporate. It’s not the hotel that needs the renovation, it’s the staff’s attitude. I expected better from Hilton.
Our teammates were staying at the Hilton express suites at the next exit. They love their hotel, stay, and their breakfast. It was also less expensive. I wish we did the same.
- Rwhite95 (2/5): Disgusting, Save your money - Room smell gross, stunk of mold and we found bugs in multiple areas of the room. Staff was indifferent. We couldn't change rooms or cancel our reservation because every hotel was sold out. Breakfast didn't have water and the juice machine was broken. Worst Homes 2 Suites we've stayed at. For the money I spent I could have got 2 rooms at another hotel with better service. I can't believe this is associated with Hilton. The Manager couldnt be bothered because it was a weekend, and I never received an email or got a call. Do better or get fired!
- DocNiel (2/5): Disgusting! Dirty beds, awful breakfast, rude staff! - I am currently at this hotel. Checked in last night at 10 PM. Went to sleep around midnight, when my wife noted that the sheets felt funny. She pulled off the covers, found stains on the sheet, fingernails, and hair (photos below).
Called the front desk. Obviously, housekeeping, was done for the day. She told us we were free to come down to get clean sheets. The night desk manager was helpful, gave us a stack of sheets, but was unsure which size she was giving us. Unfortunately, it took two more trips to get proper size sheets, but there was no mattress pad. Finally got back to bed at 1:30 AM.
I was walking through our room in my bare feet. My feet felt funny, so I looked, and they were covered in dirt and grime (photos below).
I spoke with the front desk manager this morning. She told me that she already told housekeeping to come to our room. I asked her if any adjustment can be made for my inconvenience. She answered, “it depends on how you made the reservation.” I told her that I made the reservation through the website as I am a HHonors Gold member. She told me that, since I made a government rate reservation, it could not have been made on the Hilton‘s website, and I was lying. I was not considered an HHonors member, and that I would not receive points for this reservation, nor would she add any complementary points for my inconvenience. Additionally, since I already had a low rate, she would not adjust it. When I told her, this was not true, as I’ve booked similar rates many times before, I was rudely told, “Don’t tell me that. I’ve been here a long time.“ She gave me a corporate email address to contact management.
Then, we walked over to the complimentary “breakfast.” Asked for juice. Breakfast attendant walked away. When she came back, another guest asked for juice. The attendant walked into a back room, and from the back room yelled out, “It’s on backorder.“. There was a milk dispenser with an “out of order” sign on it. There were 2 waffle irons, but an empty waffle batter carafe (see photos). Another guest asked for waffle batter, and again, the attendant walked away. They did have a premade egg McMuffin type sandwich, which was basically inedible. My wife ate instant oatmeal, but they had no spoons available, so she did her best to eat it with a fork..
We went back to our room. Housekeeping has not yet been in the room, despite the front desk manager telling us, they were told to come right up. We found housekeeping in the hallway and spoke with her. She had not been told about our issue – – the front desk manager had lied to us.
The housekeeper came in and changed the sheets.
It is Saturday morning, and I’m stuck in this rathole for two more days, as we’ve called six other hotels that are sold out. The other guest, that we met at breakfast, stated that they had bugs in their bed, and also could not find another available local hotel.
Disgusting and dirty hotel, with rude staff and an incomplete inedible breakfast. Not what I expect from Hilton. Avoid this place!
- Shawn (9/5): Business trip 24 - Staff was great Bathroom smells like cigarettes
- Norma (10/5): The best experience ever. - Clean, super nice.
- Jeff (10/5): Exceptional - clean and pet friendly no plates for breakfast
- Christine (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was not bad and location was right off the interstate so that was convenient.
The room was very large so that was nice. The beds in our room were very uncomfortable…no support at all.
The shower faucet and dial were both loose and seemed like they were going to fall off the wall.
- Jerry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zheng (9/5): Superb -
- Lori (10/5): Great location, yummy breakfast, clean and comfortable room. - Breakfast was delicious. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. A little pricy at over $240 per night including taxes. Our room was very clean and comfortable however there must have been a water leak in the ceiling of the bathroom bc there are water stains and a little mold on the ceiling over the vanity.
- Alona (8/5): - It was a nice hotel for a night. Clean room, comfortable bed!
- Dacia (9/5): Superb -
- Melissa (2/5): - This property was extremely dirty. I walked into the room and walked right out and had to make arrangements at a different hotel which was unfortunate since I didn’t get into town until 2am. Would not recommend. I have stayed here before about 7 years ago and it was great. Property has gone downhill.
- Stephanie (7/5): Good - Overcharge had two rooms reserved and charged us for three called and lAdy keeps hanging up will call corporate when I get home
- Zheng (8/5): Very good -
- Gibbons (8/5): For the price you could do better. This is the third time we have stayed. First disappointing time - Location good breakfast My wife had to clean all the tile in kitchen and bathroom. Used a roll of paper towels. The room smelted like dirty socks. 2 light bulbs out in kitchen area. The staff offered another room but the floor was equally dirty.
- James (10/5): - The room was nice and spacious
- Sarah (9/5): From the time we checked in I felt safe, like the staff was glad to see us, and it was so clean in the room and public a - Cleanliness, location, staff Breakfast, not that the staff did anything, I’ve just had much better offering. The lobby was spotless!
- D9487NEsarahm (10/5): Very clean and well appointed! - The motel looks brand new. Our first stay and found it very clean and accommodating. The front desk member, all, were very nice. The young man doing the lobby cleaning was very hard working. Our room was very comfortable. If I had to lower the score, it would be the free breakfast. It was sufficient but I’ve had better.
- Rowe (7/5): Good -
- Mandi (2/5): My stay was not good, hotel was dirty, and I will not stay at this hotel again. - Location was good This property is run down. The hotel was dirty and my room was not clean. The counters were greasy and the bathroom had hair all over it
- Robert (8/5): - See review
- James (10/5): The stay was very nice - The Breakfast was really Good. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and the staff was nice and helpful The shower handle was not secured to the wall
- 672marcn (2/5): Do not stay here. Price gouge and terrible service - Do not stay at this hotel!! Breakfast is crap. Burnt omelettes. I mean how do you burn pre-made omelettes. No pancakes. None!! The whole time. No milk. I mean isn’t milk a breakfast staple?? Restrooms were out of order the entire stay. Rooms were never serviced. Ran out of shampoo. Staff was non-responsive to noise at all hours of the night. Key card system was down. Lol. I mean come on Hilton. Your key card. Thankfully I had the app. Worst experience ever in a Hilton. May just stick to Marriott. I’m sure Paris’ rooms are nice. Pool was abysmal. Even created a security breach by propping doors open in the pool area just to vent it. It was bad!!!
- Fred (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (8/5): - We had a room all the way to the end of the hall, close to an exit door.
