- Tonia (6/5): If you like the outdoors it’s a good stay. - The views were beautiful. The hotel is older with some upgrades. The restaurant was so-so. Not the greatest. When we arrived the bedding was dirty/stained. The front desk staff changed the sheets but that tainted the stay.
- Nora (10/5): The stay was wonderful! Would definitely visit again! - Everything was wonderful!!! Very sweet staff, clean rooms, super hot showers!! I only stayed one night #sad

- Wendy (8/5): It was beautiful place and we’d love to return, we would just plan on something else for dinner. - The view.
Room was nice.
Bacon was awesome. The bread at the restaurant was hard.

- Lisa (9/5): - Food in Cascades was really very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The view from our room (walk put patios) was amazing! Although the room was very cozy, you could hear noise from above and either side. The bed was comfortable, but the sheets were almost flannel, so we got hot even though we turned down the heat.
- ELIZABETH (10/5): Best view from our patio room!!! - Great location and staff!!! Good people working there!!! Restaurant, menu was limited, ran out of items on menu on our first night and lunch on next day had a waiting time due to short staff! Afterwards, we ate out during our stay!!
- Sherry (8/5): - Beautiful location. Nestled in the mountains with a gorgeous view, even in your bedroom. Great restaurant and bar. Loads of giving trails.

- Joanne (10/5): - The views from the rooms are fantastic, great restaurant - loved the trout!
- Wen-Chia (9/5): - Staff named Allen is very helpful and kind Perhaps include breakfast in the room rate in the future; the bathtub and sink are clogged
- Robin (10/5): Awesome Waterfall - Everything Could use better mapping for guest to see the different points of reaching the waterfall and description of the different options. As well as for the trails.
- Juan (10/5): - The location
- claire (9/5): The lodge is an excellent place to stay, up to date facility, great location. - The view from site was amazing, overlooking mountains, outdoor 2nd floor seating was perfect for cocktails. Overall clean with lovely up to date bathroom. Breakfast buffet was excellent. windows in hallway needed to be cleaned, evening buffet was ok so we went to off site restaurant instead.
- Liz (9/5): -
- Drake (10/5): - The view ! Air conditioning had a issue.

- Donna (6/5): - The hotel is cruising on the view and just phoning it in. The food at the restaurant is ballpark quality. The best meal we had the day we stayed was Waffle House. That should not be. First thing to do is bring in a chef and others that can cook without a microwave. You hiked all day. You're tired. You want a great meal and a glass of wine, not a fake beef burger, day old fries and a crunchy overcooked brownie. Also...They should bring in local talent for live music! Have a piano bar, wine bar, sunset instrumentalist! Live music every night would be great for the guest and the local musicians. Finally... The staff is okay but nothing spectacular. You need a staff that indulges the guests, not just tolerates them. My suggestion is to bring in someone that specializes in the hospitality Industry to consult. They can model the hotel as a mountain gem, and bring in staff that has an understanding of what hospitality actually means. The hotel is fine but what a waste that it's not better than fine and instead spectacular!
- Joseph (10/5): - Everything great !
- Jason (9/5): -
- Cheek (5/5): Gorgeous setting - Rooms are getting really old which causes a smell...food needs a lot of e ork..
- Sean (10/5): - Everything was perfect – from the bedroom to the restaurant to the View to the staff to the hiking…
- Sandra (8/5): -
- Christopher (6/5): Refurbishing the place is needed, - It needs Refurbishment. The dirty old carpet in the room is not nice.
- Nancy (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay very much. The only thing that might have made it better to see a bear and to have no rain. :)
- Amy (10/5): - Easy check in. Quiet property. Clean rooms.
- Suzanne (10/5): - Beautiful mountain view
- Edward (8/5): - Food onsite was good. Staff was friendly
- Chris (10/5): - Great place to stay after hiking 10.48 miles
- Adrienne (8/5): -
- Alayna (5/5): Clean and great location - The property is wonderfully located! Many things around to do and see outdoors. The hotel in general was very clean and staff were very friendly! The room was clean! Our only gripe was half the outlets in the room didn’t work and our air conditioning unit was extremely loud and barely kept the room cold for longer than 10 minutes. We let the front desk know of our issues during our overnight stay.
- Lori (10/5): - Beautiful view, clean rooms, and the staff was great!
- Megann (6/5): Nice little runaway for a night - You cannot beat the views at this place. The hike down to falls is marked and feels safe. Loved the coffee bar in the am. Very nice staff. The landscaping is gorgeous and very well kept. Definitely older and needs a little tlc. Some smelly areas when arriving and entrance. Carpet is old and dirty
- Tasha (10/5): - Gorgeous view, good experience, nice beds.
- Lori (8/5): Good quick getaway - The view, comfortable beds Room could have used a good deep cleaning, the hotel itself could use some updating and the restaurant could have had a larger variety food.
- Alexis (10/5): - We always love coming here! Such a wonderful break from the hustle and bustle of work life. Love the lodge, views and staff.
- Iain (10/5): - Had a great stay, all the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful, hotel was clean and tody in all areas i vistied. Room was in great condition and clean and well equipped.
- Nancy (6/5): - Time to replace mattresses and sheets and either clean or replace carpet. Was disappointed in the condition of the room for the price we paid. The view, however, was beautiful!
- lori (10/5): - Falls are the big attraction. Enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evening. Beautiful night!
- Terry (9/5): -
- James (10/5): - The view
- James A Beebe (10/5): - We loved how family friendly it was. Enjoyed the hiking and seeing wild life. The staff and everyone around us were super patient and friendly. The view of the mountains from the lodge was incredible! Can't wait to come back!!!!!
- Jagadish (10/5): - Great views and near by to traiks and falls
- Yi (6/5): - Dirty room , beautiful view
- Lindsey (10/5): - Beautiful property and views. Great price on the off season. Could use some renovations but current state just adds to the charm.
- Pardhiva (10/5): -
- Cassandra (10/5): - The staff was very friendly. The property was not in bad shape but could tell its age.
Breakfast was not Free as it was listed on the website . Breakfast was good but had to pay extra. The restaurant onsite is convenient not too bad priced.
The views from every window were breath taking. The sunset from our room was beautiful. Was not able to see the sun rise as it was super foggy when we woke up.
We wanted to go zip lining but was not able to due to them having a large group booked.
We would go back!
- Nestor (8/5): Nice views, comfortable, nice facility - Reserve is unique The cleaning
- Stephani (5/5): -
- Guest (9/5): - Great place to spend days out with nature and staff were great
- Rod (6/5): - This place can use a refurbishing. It takes for granted peoples’ love of the environment and being the only place around. So, the furnishing is old and the menu limited. If it were not for the views and the prime location, there be no reason to stay at this hotel.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Art (10/5): - Mountains
- Nicholas (8/5): - The views from lodge were remarkable. The food… not so much. We stayed in room 101, don’t. Musty, no view and loud. However, property was amazing. Trails and access to AT. Beautiful
- kyung (10/5): - There is very nice.
- Lori (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the view! Clean property! Elevator doors closed to fast for a wheelchair user.
- Traci (10/5): - Beautiful view and great area to hike!
- Eric (8/5): Solid - Incredible location, location, location and views, views, views. No washer/dryer in the lodge; was sent to use the washer/dryer in the camp ground, but the door to the facilities was deadbolted.
Also, not a single souvenir sticker with a waterfall on it was sort of shocking.
- Pamela (8/5): - Nice room with a view of the mountains
- sharon (10/5): - Beautiful view from our room at the lodge and from the dining room. The staff was so very accommodating allowing us early check in and late check out. A really fun stay.
- Diego (10/5): - Clean and helpful staff
- Jon (10/5): - Wonderful view. Great location for exploring.
- Gary (8/5): - The view from my room.
- Roger (10/5): - Place, staff, and views were wonderful!
- Colleen (8/5): - Being in the clouds
- Kevin (9/5): Pleased - Very clean, friendly and comfortable Pricey
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, awesome food, and staff!!
- Jerry (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing falls. Appalachian trail approach trail. Elevator was out of service. I'm
- Helen (7/5): Good - Beautiful location and view from room. Outdoor seating area very pleasant. Relaxed feel. Room fixtures and fittings a little dated. But views make up for it.
- Karla (8/5): - Beautiful property. Elevator was down, bedding was stained and pit look glass was full of handprints when we arrived obstructing the gorgeous view but they had a gift shop and nice food options. No complaints for the location
- Cheryl (6/5): - Views are amazing. Love the peaceful location. Stunning and beautiful.
Bed was terrible - dip there was no way to get out of, pillows lumpy and uncomfortable. Ice machine and elevator were out of service and it didn’t seem like either were going to be worked on any time soon. Hopefully my assumption is incorrect.
This place has the potential to be a five star in all areas.
- Ricky (10/5): Exceptional - Elevator did not work
- Robert (10/5): - The view from the mountaintop lodge phenomenal. The trail system and the waterfall were breathtaking. The staff couldn’t be more cordial and competent!
- lisa (2/5): - This place is horrible i have been there before to do the trails and waterfall amazing views i have had it on my bucketlist to stay at the lodge so finally i got the chance so nasty dog hair allover the bedding and sheets ant crawling in the bed sheets a 5 foot crack in the ceiling mold and meldew in the bathtub toilet dirt base pee hair all over the floor carpet very nasty and elevator on the inside had stuff running down it the whole 2 days we were there the dining area well that was horrible not even going to go there i should have listen to the hostess she told me about the food was horrible and for me to leave and eat off property but it was storming and didnt want to leaving i couldnt believe what she told me about the soup tried to talk to a manager front desk said wasnt available but thet would contact me never did i tried again still not available all i know is how yall describe this property is nothing i got to experience paying 205 a night i have no problem but staying in this disgusting situation is horrible i believe you should credit me back my money because you lied about this property again i have reached out to speak to someone and nothing i aint surprised because if a manager was there they should inspect there rooms and elevator and atleast so spot checks thur out the day !! I have pics to proof everything i said but it wont let me upload
feel free to reach out to me and i will send them to you thanks for reading ca g,
- David (8/5): Very good - Check-in was delayed and gave less time to prepare for our evening plans. Arrived @ 3pm to check availability prior to 4pm check-in, and was promised a call when ready. We remained on site and toured the grounds awaiting the call. After no call was received, checking again at the desk @ 4:15pm and a delayed confirmation of availability...we were in our room @ 4:45pm. This was disappointing for our group of five, considering our 5:10pm departure time to ensure reservations for the evening 40 minutes away. While traveling out of state it is nice to have more time to freshen up before heading out.
- Laura Talley (8/5): Valentine's Weekend. - Room was fine nothing special. Food, menu offerings and service at the restaurant were just fair. We signed up for the free nature encounter and waited 30 minutes but no one ever showed. We were there for a romantic weekend. The hotel was ok but the waterfall was amazing and that's the main attraction if you're staying there.
- ANDREW (10/5): - It’s natural
