Andreas (9/5): Wer Natur und Wellness sucht ist hier richtig - Ein schönes Wellness-Hotel mitten in der Natur. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Wald oder Aktivitäten im See.
Sonja (9/5): - Wir würden sehr freundlich empfangen, der Check In war komplikationslos. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und wir wurden immer zuvorkommend behandelt. Unser Zimmer war extrem schön mit Ausblick auf den Wald. Das Resort liegt ca 1 Std außerhalb des Algonquin Parks, aber die Fahrt dorthin ist sehr abwechslungsreich und schön. 8 km vor dem Resort haben wir sogar einen Elch auf der Straße gesehen. Es gibt auch ein Spa, das wir aber nicht benutzt haben. Unsere Fragen wurden immer sehr gerne beantwortet und auch Tips haben wir bekommen.
Helen (6/5): Service was sub-par for the luxury resort. - Location was nice. Complimentary coffee in the lobby was available from 8-830am only. Flys were in the room and the bathtub was out dated for what would be a luxury resort. Rec room with bar area was open until 9pm but there was no bar service and told not allowed to bring or use our own alcohol. Meal promotion stated was valid for stays until October 31st , however when I arrived this was not honoured as I was told the rate at which I booked at the time did not qualify, although nothing was mentioned about rates at the time of booking in relation to the meal promotion.

Andrea (8/5): Dalle recensioni pensavo peggio... - Dalle recensioni e dai punteggi pensavo di trovarmi di fronte ad una struttura fatiscente, ma in realtà si tratta di un ottimo tre stelle.La stanza era molto grande ed accogliente con qualche rumore di troppo da parte del condizionatore. Ma niente di drammatico. Abbiamo cenato al ristorante in locoe forse è stato il cibo migliore che i nostri palati abbiano assaggiato in 20 giorni on the road tra Stati Uniti e Canada. Dopo una cena di un certo livello mi sarei aspettato una colazione ottima, ma ci siamo pentiti di non aver fatto la combo caffè Nespresso più biscotti in camera, sicuramente più soddisfacente a livello di palato e di portafoglio. Lo staff mi ha lasciato un pò perplesso in generale e dopo le 21 sembrava di stare in un hotel fantasma.
Heike (10/5): - Der Style des Hotels hat uns besonders gefallen. Man sieht und merkt die Liebe zum Detail. Es ist etwas besonderes. Wir waren mit unseren zwei Kids (11 und 12)) dort und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Das Osttor des Algonquin Parks war in 40 Minuten erreichbar.
CHRISTOPHE (3/5): rubbish - The stay at the hotel was short, thus minimizing the suffering we had to endure The hotel was barren, with little to no staff (shoutoit to the like 3 guys working there), resulting in limited support past 7pm, which isn't quite ideal when you're stranded outside your hotel room because your room keycard decides to go on strike, a luxury that should only be reserved to humans. Nomi executives, what ungodly desire drove you to build a bloody hotel in the middle of nowhere? No wonder you're understaffed and practically no one was there. In classic Canadian fashion, everything took an hour to get to even by car, so perhaps pick a better spot next time. Not a huge fan of the cockroach I found and smashed to bits in my room as well. Would NOT recommend
Margaret (6/5): - Our room was fabulous but you can tell it is a resort under that has been recently renovated and the facilities are not completely open. Staff were excellent. It is a 10 minute walk to the water through construction site of resort. This was not mentioned. We had to drive down to enjoy. Restaurant had excellent food. I am sure this will be a great spot once finished. Hot tubs were not open yet.

Verified traveler (4/5): Not lake front - This property is not waterfront, why there is a picture of a dock and lake is beyond me. It’s a 15 min walk to the lake. The rooms were not great had a mouldy smell, old bathtub, noisy air conditioners, and old furniture. Would absolutely never stay at this terrible “resort” again.
Salonge (10/5): - Lovely older building with a new modern look and amenities. Our room was beautiful with serene views amidst the winter landscape. The lobby/lounge was warm and welcoming. We booked a hydrotherapy session and thoroughly enjoyed the use of the sauna and steam room. The food was amazing at the restaurant and the service was on point. The resort itself is quite remote, but during an unexpected winter storm it was the perfect retreat.
S (8/5): A great find, and we'll definitely be back!! - Beautiful property. The main building has been nicely updated and has a very welcoming and relaxed vibe. Our room (#302) was clean and spacious for our needs. The lounge and dining room areas are well decorated. The food was excellent (gourmet breakfast & dinner menus), and being served by the executive chef, Hugo, was a nice touch. We did not use the spa facilities as we were there for a snowmobiling weekend, but they looked great! This is a "go to" 4 season spot near the south entrance of Algonquin Park that will only get better once the broader development project is completed. Unfortunately, the new outdoor thermal pools were not yet open and would have been a nice compliment to the steam room and sauna. Next time!

Harriet (10/5): - Spent a relaxing weekend away here. Christine at the desk was so kind, friendly, and helpful. She explained all about activities on and around the resort, the spa, places to eat, etc. She was always ready to help if we had any questions. Jessica at the spa was super kind and fun. It was a great experience. Hugo and his staff in the restaurant provided great service and delicious food. The resort is somewhat isolated, not ideal if you're looking for nearby shopping, etc. But perfect for outdoor activities, and/or spa experience. The resort is very quiet. The bed was super comfy. We loved our stay and hope to go back again.

joshua (10/5): - We had a great weekend at Nomi. The staff is amazing, friendly, helpful, and informative. To the room we had, the hotel itself and the restaurant in said hotel were spotless and so clean. And wonderfully done. The room we had itself was also well done and comfy. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant both of which were done really well and tasted amazing. Also tried to book a massage but the masseuse was not feeling well, so she was not in, rather we did the hydrotherapy sauna and steam room instead.Both were so relaxing and peaceful. We booked early, for the reason it takes 3 hrs to heat the sauna, but we had day use of both. Highly recommended.. tried a trail nearby and was amazed. So many nice trails. If you want peace and quiet this is your place. Would have been so much more beautiful and amazing, more then what I've seen if there wasnt such a scandal attached. Which should not reflect on the amazing staff who keep it going.
Harry (8/5): Interesting and relaxing. This place and staff deserve better, and we look forward to coming back. - Nice luxury feel retreat in the middle of nowhere. Just a few minutes from south Algonquin border. It was nicer than any motel we’ve stayed in the area before. Obviously more expensive but it was a great weekend trip. Reading other reviews helped us prepare and budget appropriately. Hydrotherapy - Indoor sauna, cold shower was nice and relaxing. 850 restaurant was clean and had a luxury feel to it, food is like any fine dining restaurant, tasty but you’ll need more if you’re a grown man. Staff is very friendly, the concierge was very pleasant and easy to speak to about any of our questions or bookings of activities. The Chef seemed to do everything alone in the restaurant which is incredible. Our room was spacious with sofa bed for our daughter to sleep in. TV and wifi works well, bathroom is clean with soap and shampoo/conditioner, Dyson hair dryer. Free in room Nespresso is really nice and makes good coffee! Somewhat strange and interesting place, mostly because it was empty and we couldn’t stop thinking about The Shinning…. Good thing we love the movie so we enjoyed our stay! I’m not sure if that’s what they were aiming for to keep it private, but in a way we had all the professional and courteous staff at our beck and call. Unfortunately, what we look forward to the most, was not functioning - the outdoor pool and hot tub. Most of the nice resort pictures show a functioning outdoor spa, but that isn’t working and it seems it might not have ever worked and is Brand new and still being completed…. (At least they reduced the $60 hydrotherapy cost). Lakefront is 15 min walk and we had to go down a trial in the forest which had lots of bugs and we got eaten alive pretty good. Perhaps a shuttle via their golf carts would be nice, or a paved road for easier car access. It almost felt like a soft opening as the resort is doing renovations and probably focusing on future resort housing projects. Additional cost just adds up for a family. Would be nice to have more incentives, freebies, like 1 hour water activity, 1 hour spa per day, fire pit, breakfast… Overall, would love to comeback to see this place thrive with more people and more completed amenities.
Jen (6/5): - The waterfront area was not as close or convenient. Unable to drive to the area and very buggy. The hot tubs are not open or ready as advertised. Nothing was nearby and very isolated. They threw in a extra $45 pet fee that is not mentioned on Expedia. Not able to reach any one on resort for tv issues. Took 1/2 hour to find someone; no answer to number given to us. The restaurant was fairly decent but steak dinner was just served with French fries only. I booked a hydrotherapy session and sauna was not even warmed up for the time allotted. Would not recommend this hotel to others. We would have left in 24 hours but we had prepaid 2 days with no refunds.

Lesley (6/5): Odd and soulless. - I have thought long about reviewing this hotel. And what to say. Very strange place -not in keeping with the rustic environment of the areas I think they are trying to attract the weekend yuppies from the cities with their electric car charging points - seems to have a link up with Porsche. The spa area and upmarket restaurant seemed incongruous with the surroundings. There is a lot of building work going on - building houses for holidaymakers which will be sold at a vast price (close to C$1million!). Most misleading was the information that the website clearly stated that dinner is C$32 and it wasn’t… there was no price fixe menu at this price; the staff knew nothing about a C$32 dinner; it was very embarrassing trying to explain and prove this is what was advertised; and there were very few options on the menu at C$32 or under: The dinner cost was even printed out on the booking.com confirmation the hotel gave us on check in but they refused to honour it. The manager was very defensive, and didn't even offer us a free drink to compensate. Dinner was very expensive (but admittedly excellent taste and quality) in a soulless environment. I felt sorry for the staff with no one to serve. The pool did not look maintained. The bedrooms were very dated and were not serviced at all during our 3 day stay. If they want the yuppies to pay top dollar they really need to concentrate on their service and hardware.

Great service and amazing food in the restaurant but be aware that 20% gratuity is added to your bill, its not an option, which in my eyes defeats the point of the tip.

Brigitte (6/5): It did not meet my expectations and the website is very misleading. - The food (dinner and breakfast) was good and we paid as much as the room cost again for a dinner and breakfast for 2. It seemed like we were 2 of only 4 guests at the resort. It all seemed a bit “forlorn “. The recommended drive to the docks was treacherous. Clearly no one had looked after that for a while. There was some cosmetic work being completed on the building and it looked like they were trying to transition to a “resort” selling condos.
Katie (10/5): - My sister and I recently stayed at Nomi Resort and really enjoyed it. It was a bit strange because we were the only ones at the resort (everything is closed in the area on Mondays, so avoid that time if you want things to be open). That being said, the service was great. The room was super comfy. The ambiance was very relaxing. Our facials were beyond amazing. The hiking trails were lovely. We'd definitely return again!

Close to Algonquin National Park The rooms do not get made up...for the price I would expect to come back to fresh towels and a clean room. There are no amenities and there is nothing to do.
Alok (10/5): - Amazing property for a woodland getaway. Our King room was better than the pictures, spacious with windows all around. The management were always present and extremely polite and attentive. The chef took a personal interest in all guests. Overall a fabulous break and would highly recommend for a holiday.
Patrick (6/5): Excellent food - hotel needs improvement - - above all was the food. Excellent, fresh, with a twist - we were extremely surprised to find such a tasty cuisine in a rather remote place. Whether vegetarian or not, it covered all and both breakfast and dinner were of above-par quality. Two thumbs up - the staff we met was very friendly Some things were a bit odd and we could not help ourselves by thinking that there is stronger interest in getting the Spa village/condos developed which are still in a planning stage. The building, although nicely decorated, showed its age. The rooms as well. While it can happen that a wrong room is allocated to guests, we could not find anyone after 10pm to get things sorted (neither by walking through the entire hotel and checking every room nor by mail/tablet which was provided to us at check-in). This needs to sorted. Also, some 'finesse' was lacking in interaction with guests (outside the restaurant) and we are not sure if hotel management is the core competency here. We wish the staff all the best that they succeed in that Spa Resort project - how we have it experienced in this Summer, we would come again for the restaurant but not for the hotel experience.
Teddy (8/5): - Check in time confusion. expedia said 1 pm but Nomi said at 3 pm. Nomi staff Andrea was so considerate and friendly, she lets us check in at 1:45 pm after the room was cleaned up. Lands8fifty is amazing and their foods is great and price is reasonable. BYOB is free of charge.

Shanise (10/5): Great resort, we'll be back! - This was my first time staying at this resort, and it exceeded my expectation! The room was spacious and clean. The are many activities on the property for the whole family to enjoy, and the restaurant has excellent service and food options! I will stay at this resort again. There isn't anything that I didn't like. But, I do have a recommendation. Place a basket with the lemon grass/green tea fragrance and additional spa products in the rooms with pricing info. That may help with product sales.

Mark (8/5): Beautiful Lobby but Rooms need lots of TLC - Lobby and restaurant are beautiful! Staff was VERY VERY friendly, when you could find them. Hotel is extremely under staffed. Rooms were old, outdated, and very worn. Nice remote area, with lots of land. Overall, I think it has LOADS of potential but the rooms need a lot of TLC, and they need more staff. Also, wish they sold some basic convenience store items like chips, milk, juice, etc. Sucks that you have to drive a half hour to get anything.

John (4/5): - As others have stated, this property is in need of major updates/renovations. But I would suggest they just upgrade their beds as a priority. Our bed was a mattress laying on the floor. My back was sore for two days after sleeping on it and it did not help that the elevator was not working so I had to haul suit cases up a flight of stairs. The room we stayed in did not look at all like the misleading picture on website. Until they make much needed renovations, this property is not recommended for the price they are charging.

Garry (8/5): - We stayed on one weeknight after Labour Day. No other guests. We saw only two staffers. Alise on the desk also served us dinner, and the chef. Alise tried very hard to make us happy. The food was excellent and worth the expense. The cheapest room was adequate. Some very 'used ' looking furniture but clean and comfortable. The mattress squeaked and felt cheap but we slept well. I couldn't get the TV to work so I streamed Netflix on my laptop.
SHARAD (10/5): - Hotel was very relaxing. The lounge is amazing where u can sit and relax anytime. The rooms were a little outdated but the staff and the private beach made up for it. One thing I didn't like was how you had to make reservations for dinner and lunch. To. Eat there in their bar was a nice experience but we had to wait an hour for our meal. Overall we will definitely come back again :)

Verified traveler (8/5): Nomi - The main lobby is in beautiful condition. The rooms could use some updating, especially in the bathroom. There was not daily room service, which was fine but we had to ask for more towels daily. It would have been nice to have extras at the start. You can pay extra for meals. Including breakfast would also be a nice upgrade. The area is gorgeous overall. It is about a 45 minute drive to Algonquin Park. We thought it was closer. But for a family of 5 it worked out nicely and the value could not be beat.

Jana (10/5): Relaxing Spa Resort - From the moment i stepped in to the lobby of the hotel I knew it was going to be a relaxing spa experience - the aroma, music, candles, comfy seating with blankets and wellness magazines, beautiful art, and most of all, the warm welcoming Manager, Elise who made every aspect of our stay extra special. By the end of the second day I confidently declared I would be coming back there again and again because Nomi’s atmosphere had so quickly transitioned my state of mind to rest, relaxation and rejuvenation mode. Thank you Nomi!!!!
Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place - The location of the hotel is nice, right next to Algonquin park. The rooms are very clean. Dinner at the restaurant was superb. The front desk hours are limited and the receptionist at the desk did not like us asking too many questions about the area and things to do. The trails are not well maintained and we found the signage to the trails just saying “private property”. But a nice place to relax with lots of trees and birds chirping. Wish they had an outdoor pool.

Get license to buy liquorat restaurant and open bar area, with that some live entertainment would be nice since no where to go once in for evening more resort feel with entertainment. need more front desk staff on checkout morning saw one guest having to find someone to get checked out. Need more towels in rooms and if more needed a cleaning maid should be able to take a couple used towels and provide replacements , we were told we would have to only ask owner. Inconvenient since cleaning staff was next to our room. Clients are not going to take these home. Need new beds. Need microwave in room. Need iron and ironing board in each room. Would be nice to have a closed in screened area outside to sit in evenings bug free. Pool to be open would be better. Less zen smelling relaxation things on main floor. Not sure many of the clients we saw there were desiring that type of thing. Less magazines scattered everywhere too much out and didn’t see people taking. Recycle as some were out of date. We would visit again to see if anything more has evolved and more open like pool.
