Guest Reviews
- Suzann (2/5): - What a cluster! Expedia site said this Travelodge was pet friendly. When I received check in email, it showed I would be fined $250 if I brought a dog on the property. The lady at the desk (very nice) clarified this was just an error. Property looks more like skidrow. Man in parking lot at 6am asked if we had any beer. Noise from next door, people talking in parking lot, and train every 20-30 min made sleeping difficult. Tables in room were dirty. Tile coming up off the floor. Carpet was thilthy. If I had seen the property before reserving while on the road, we most definitely would NOT have stayed here.
- Steven (2/5): - There was no one at the check in desk and I had to go to days inn in order to check in. The room it self was sub par, no carpet, small and uncomfortable beds. When I turned the bathroom light on I got shocked, the fridge was dirty and we ended up not even staying there. The experience was so bad that I forfeited the fee returned the key to the drop box and found a different hotel to stay at.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No fridge n microwave but overall a place to chill for two nights đ
- Jason (2/5): - There is no water. Can't even flush the toilet. This is ridiculous. We need an immediate refund.
- Maria (2/5): - Management wasnât at desk, gentleman not friendly at all. Would never recommend or stay there. Took one look and left again charged for all three days that I never used. Very unhappy NEVER Again
- Eric (2/5): - Confusion
- richard (10/5): - The night staff was really great and hopefully
- philip (10/5): - Very quiet and clean and working nights even quiet during the day
- Carlie (2/5): - I arrived late at night on a road trip, after booking on Expedia. The owner of the establishment was apparently out of town and left the employees with NO WAY TO CHECK IN CUSTOMERS. So instead of staying here, i had to pay AGAIN for a room at the Days Inn they own next door. Worst experience. Lost the money on the room I never even got a key or checked in for and then paid MORE for an equivalent room. Do NOT go here if you want a guaranteed place to stay on a budget. I cannot give them few enough stars for this stressful experience 14 hours from home.
- Eric (8/5): - The motel itself was good. The road conditions are awful around the area. There is plenty of food places but you will have to drive to them.
- Renee (6/5): - It did not have an iron board & iron. It did not small to use at the desk or bed side. The rest is great
- Barrett (10/5): - Deepak did a great job
- Emilee (10/5): - Cheap but decent. Didnt fe unclean and rooms were big. Not new by any means, but the price and location was right! On route 66!
- Patricia (2/5): - Disgusting towels had brown water stains with chunks of something in it the floors were filthy and after the shower i walked to the bed and had to get socks and wash my feet again after wiping the dirt off my feet It was very uncomfortable and we booked out as fast as we could
- David (8/5): Motel on route 66 - The stay was good and the price was good.
- Raul (6/5): - Everything
- Ann (10/5): - Old hotel has been remodeled⌠it was clean
- Verified traveler (2/5): Cheap room - Dirty room poor service tv don't work system all down wifi sucks
- Michael (6/5): - Its was a good room
- Theresa (6/5): Do NOT STAY THERE - They need to learn how to clean.
- Jeffrey (2/5): No standards for hotels.com! - I didnât stay, the room was dingy and gross. I turned around and left after walking in. Obviously hotels.com has no standards on who they let on the site for bookings!
- Beverly (2/5): - They Canceled our room and said to contact Expedia so they could give us a refund through you & I have not been able to con tact Expedia to get the refund When I selected them they said they were pet friendly & they weren't so we had to go to another hotel & spend $65 for another room
- Chantelle (2/5): Avoid at all costs. - This hotel is beyond disgusting. The room is filthy, no maid service at all within the 4 days we were there. The hotel manager keeps the lobby locked and is never there. Youâre told to go next door to another hotel and try to get them to handle it. The area is extremely run down. I understand this may be a new venture for the Knights Inn and perhaps theyâve put bought the hotel from someone else. But this was foul. It did not feel safe whatsoever.
- Joanne (2/5): - This place is a dump! Terrible parking too. Old, rundown facilities. Roach motel! Check-in & check-out are next door at the Days Inn which might be a better choice.
- LOUIS (8/5): Clean room - Clean room, good price, no frills place to stay
- daniel (10/5): Why Wait - never fails. things that count. clean room, hot water, quiet sleep, excellent pricing
- David (6/5): - Great continental breakfast. No wash clothes. Terrible window covering. Lights shine through screen. Good for amont paid.
- daniel (10/5): - nice bathroom shower, hot water, easy parking, comfortable bedding
- Monica (8/5): Not 2 bad for the price - It was a decent stay for the price. Hot shower was a plus, advertised free breakfast but didnât have it. It was a cheap place for the night. I would stay again even with the train.
- Herbert (4/5): Knights Inn - I had informed property of my planned very late arrival but the office was locked when I did arrive around midnight. Needed to go to adjacent property to check in. There was confusion finding a key to my room although my reservation was made a week in advance. Basic room was clean and comfortable and grab-and-go breakfast was available at checkout.
- Rushil (8/5): - Very comfy bed with all required equipments: Microwave, Fridge, Closet, Bathroom; facilities for cleaning clothes.
- Alexandra (4/5): - First the staff at the days inn where we had to check in were lovely and hard working. The hotel is half abandoned in a weird neighborhood in Gallup, no check in or check out except at the hotel nexrt door, dirty room, dead bug on the bed, paint peeling, thin and uncomfortable single sheet to sleep, and I felt unsafe like we should jam the door. It was pretty loud from both the train and hwy sound, glad we didnt have anyone on either side. Breakfast wasn't set up, again not at our hotel either, and there was only a prepacked take away bag ready. Ok price, but very sketchy with 2 kids and not a comfortable stay or process. Again, not at all the fault of the staff who was managing 2 hotel properties seemingly overnight and on his own.
- Laura (2/5): Not as it seems - Itâs was disgusting!! Outdated and ghetto!! Pictures on the site are not even close to what the property looks like. I pulled and just looking from my car, I felt unsafe and did not want to get out. There was trash and empty beer bottles in the parking lot and smelled like urine. I had had my windows down and smell was strong. Would never recommend staying there. Take down the pictures for this property and put the real pictures up.
- Melissa Putterman (2/5): - Office was closed. No one answered the phone for THREE hours when tried to call to say weâd check in late. When we arrived after 1:00 am, the sign said the office was open but the door was locked with a note saying we should walk next door to Days Inn to check in. No wash cloths. Parking lot and exterior of the Knights Inn a little seedy.
- Brandy (4/5): - When I got there the manager told me that the rooms were not working idk why or what was the problem so I didnât stay there and the desk clerk gave me back the money
- Marty (2/5): - There was carpet over wood floors and the floors were falling through
- Robert (6/5): - Wood floor, dirty. Toilet was loose.
- Ekow (2/5): - Run down
- Tye (2/5): - Refused to give me a copy of the bill without the price.
No towels.
- Barry (8/5): - Good price for a nights stay
- Nancy (2/5): Stay was overbooked - I got there about 11:30 p.m. and they turn me away saying that they were overbooked the receptionist took my name and number and my confirmation number or refund and I have not yet to receive one
- VERNON (2/5): Deceiving - We did not like the place we stayed. The pictures in the ad are deceiving. Itâs not the same as pictured. The place was rundown. You can hear traffic and train noise. I donât recommend.
- Shant (10/5): - The room was clean and welcoming
The price was great
Thr property was not kept clean
Overall just ok place to stay
- Mayte (2/5): - I paid but when I was there the manager told me to canceled my reservation because it was late and he doesnât want to check me in
- Steve (6/5): - Low cost
No one in office when I arrived, had to go to the Days Inn across the parking lot to check in .
They didn't have my reservation.
Room right next to Railroad tracks with trains going by three times from 11 pm to 12:30 am
No cups in the room.
- Gary (6/5): - It was comfortable. did not stay long late night early morning. roomy for all my handycapped equitment. very clean very affordable. easy to find right off interstate exit. bed comfortable pleanty of chairs to sit in or at table.
- Shanna (8/5): - I couldn't connect to the internet.
- AmySue Marie (6/5): - Should be let known somehow that the units are also rented to long term tenants. That brings a whole different setting and feel to the property.
- Maggie (4/5): - Front office appears to be permanently closed, so when we arrived just after midnight, we had to walk to the hotel next door to check in. I should have booked my stay on the other side of the freeway, where there appear to be much nicer properties. Only picked this one for the price, and I got what I paid for.
- Bethaney (2/5): Couldnât check in - Advertised as 24/7 reception. There was a note on the door saying go to days inn next door which was also locked. Not helpful. Couldnât use our booking.
- Roberto (8/5): - Clean, nothing negative to say
- Stephen (6/5): Wrong location - The Google Map redirect sent me to the wrong Knights Inn. 3 miles away. Check in was closed so had to walk to the Days Inn next door. They wanted a Xerox copy of my credit card. Not good business practice. Hotel was cheap so accepted the poor condition. Did not bring anything in the room to avoid roaches and bed bugs.
- Christopher (2/5): - We did not stay as staff did not let us
- Stephanie (10/5): Old but great - This place is a great âI need to sleep on my long journeyâ hotel. Itâs clean, itâs older but so is Gallup! We were met by the friendly staff and our room was clean. We joked itâs a little bates motel-ish but it absolutely served itâs purpose. If youâre looking for high end, this place isnât for you. My family was comfortable and we would absolutely stay again if we are on a long road trip again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Service from the owner was bad. We didn't get to sleep till check out time
- Verified traveler (4/5): - No gluten free breakfast options except the yogurt. Front desk lady didn't know what gluten free meant when I informed her I was. She was still offering me something with gluten despite me telling her. After the initial night, someone knocked on my door asking if I was leaving. I booked this place for four nights. Why would I be leaving already? Then the manager guy also knocked on my door asking if I was leaving o__O noisy place. Not relaxing
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Bed was comfortable, staff was friendly. Clean and cozy room for a solo traveler
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I booked a room with two beds and when I arrived they tell me thereâs no double beds. I showed her the booking and she says âwhatever, donât know
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked it
- Verified traveler (6/5): - You get what you pay for.... As for Gallup, it is a good place as just a good stop for the night if in a road trip, Gallup has decent shopping, dining and supermarkets if you need them
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect if you want a clean place to sleep and shower for a low price and nothing more. It's great for the price and location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is economic.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was an older single level motel in an L shape. Reminded me better days. I had a wonderful brand new bed just like the ones you pay for in 4 and 5 star hotels. It was so comfortable I didnât even wanna get out of bed in the morning and leave. It was clean and wonderfully taken care of. I would stay here again. I could not believe it cost only $44 a night. Best place I stayed in on my entire trip from AZ to MT.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I was booked to stay at thw Knights Inn, but when i went to check in. There was a sign on the door to check in at the Days Inn next-door. I walked there and the female desk clerk stated that there was no more rooms at the Knights Inn and that she will give me a room at the Days inn at the price I paid online. I had to give my drivers license and credit card. They recorded my credit card and i am hoping they did charge me again. I am thankful to get a room because i was very tired from driving.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The place is clean ,and quiet , amazing staff and helpful, highly recommend this place , if you looking for not extensive rooms .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It needs to be cleaned up a bit. Every outlet was missing it's cover . Needs new front doors. I'm sure they're trying hard to update the property. Needs new linens.
- maggi (8/5): Good for just passing thru - We checked in late. The receptionist was friendly and fast.
- Dale (2/5): - Avoid this hotel. They said it is newly remolded. It has a new toliet and very small sink and shower. The bathroom is plenty large and no reason to have such a small shower and sink. The shower head is not adjustable and is very high. Shelves in shower slope out and will not hold a bar of soap.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Ever was find0
- Christine (10/5): Very Clean and great rate! - Very courteous staff and very clean room. Just the basics but thatâs all we were looking for!
- Lisa (6/5): When you just need a bed......cheap. - Check in was not open and sign did go to hotel next door to check in. Man who helped us was super not happy to see us. Hotel room was in need of repairs. No cover on remote. Bed seemed clean, but bathroom had stuff on walls that I hate to think what it was. Ice was at hotel next door. I didnât look for dead hookers under bed, as I just needed a short nap.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The motel clerk was not on duty...the hotel next door was taking over service duty, so everything was next property over, very inconvenient. Also, the shower head was way high up and I couldn't teach it to spray on me instead of wall. The outlet for plugging in my CPAP was on the opposite wall...too far, cord almost didn't reach! Bathroom ceiling was losing drywall coating. No kleenex in room. Phone didn't allow me to call front desk when dialing "0", probably since nobody was there!
- Paul (2/5): - Liked nothing run down and horrible management didn't stay
- Juanita V (8/5): Busy - Was ok. Clean, busy but i was editing a nigjt and was charged a dsy gor the change.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very Nice Management - First of all, the customer service at this hotel is outstanding!!! From the moment I checked in, I felt cared for. This isnât a fancy motel and the rate reflects that. I just needed a place to lay my head and get off the road. Itâs definitely no frills! Bed, TV, shower, Microwave, fridge. Park in front of your room. Thatâs all I needed. Itâs in a safer part of town that some of the other motels and other Knights Inn that had a very dark parking lot. I arrived with a sick friend and the hotel manager made sure everything was all right and check on me after I checked in and in the morning. I was completely impressed at how much he cared. Other guests helped too and a guest who was a nurse also helped. You just donât find that people want to get involved, but the friendliness really helped calm the situation.
Breakfast is next door at the adjacent property. Very nice staff. Even when Covid limits what can be served for breakfast, they have packed goodies in a bag and coffee is available. This is not the norm right now during Covid. They have gone out of their way to try to provide for their guests even at a very cheap nightly rate.
If you are looking for a decent motel to get off the road in Gallup, I suggest stopping by and the manager will let you view the room.
- Joshua (2/5): Do not stay here - Terrible
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We booked this through Expedia during a snow storm at 11:15PM. Expedia said 6 rooms were available. When arrived around 11:30PM they said they were all booked and that they stop updating Expedia at 10PM. I did not stay at the place and now they are refusing to refund, although this business said to call Expedia and they would refund!!
- Patricia (8/5): - A clean, quiet, safe place to sleep for a few hours at a good price. No amenities, but I didn't want or need any and the price reflected that. Check in was super easy and staff was great. Bed was comfortable. The one lamp in the room didn't work (or I couldn't figure it out), so it was only the glaring overhead light. But still it was a good stay. I'd stay there again.
- Michael (6/5): Clean, but nasty - Got to Hotel about 10:30 p.m. and no one around. Sign said go next door to Days Inn. So no Wi-Fi since no one around. Holes in the wall, room was clean but looked like they stopped working on it just to rent it out.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bug Incident. - Over all not too bad. Just had an incident while watching TV when a large black beetle (BUG) appeared on my arm. Must have come from the bed which my arm was resting on. I flicked it off and smashed it with the heel of my shoe. No other bugs after that incident. Probably just a once in a while experience. Probably good for the money.
- Brandy (10/5): - Its was nice and comfy clean room didnt smell price was good too
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Your website noted the hotel offers breakfast! It was not available.
Your website noted a refrigerator and microwave in rooms, there were no available. I had to throw away my perishable foods!!!
- JS (6/5): - You get what you pay for! Quick overnight stay by railroad tracks, but didnât hear much. Very old MOTEL with very old furnishings. Large gap under the keyed door, tv didnât work but I didnât bother with it. There was a fridge only in the room, no ice machine available and the beds wobbled but surprisingly they were comfortable. It was clean, however shower was small & a pain to maneuver. The gentleman that checked me in was nice and quick. Upon my really early check out I had to go to the neighboring Days Inn to leave the key which wasnât an issue. For the most part the stay was fine if you are looking for a cheap quick overnight stay to catch a few hours of shut eye before hitting the road. It wasnât terrible but it wasnât excellent, it was fair.
- Raymond (8/5): - The front end mgr was great, he was so accomadating. The bathroom was spacious
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Traveling to Mexico from Idaho great place to stay very economic.
- Joshua (10/5): - Rooms are newly renovated but it is an older property. Very nice staff and the room was clean and nice.
Perfect for the price.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The train going by all night long was a problem. Other than that it was good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Not satisfied with my customer service i got front desk clerk was mean to my family
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Basic motel in a small, dusty New Mexico town. Bed was comfy, tho đ
