- MARINA (4/5): - Here is only one positive thing about this hostel is rooftop restaurant and amazing guys and ladies who work there. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TO BOOK THIS HOSTEL. And you don’t have to be the hostel’s guest to be able to visit this cool rooftop. Everyone is welcome. I had a private room which was located on first (=ground floor). The day light didn’t come through that made my stay really depressive and dark all the time. Meanwhile, the dorms are on a second floor and even with the ocean view. A lot of mosquitos coming from everywhere. Loud because of being so close to the main road and people walking through the garden. Also, there was some noise from outside of bathroom side. Terrible. I picked the room with the bed-boat, and I feel I was wrong. It’s not really worth to sleep in the boat and it makes you take some stairs to get in. Stuff… they wouldn’t help you with your luggage. Don’t expect this. At the night, there is no receptionist, and only security guy has been sleeping all the time. The worst thing I’ve got three times power outage. And it used to happen around 10pm when all stuff has already gone, and the security guy couldn’t speak english at least to explain us when it would get back. The hotel-neighbor right next to this one had power with no problem by the way. It was good to know AT THE END OF MY STAY that if I wanted to have my room cleaned I had to bring the key to the reception. Nobody told me that at my check in time. Poor customer service.
- George (2/5): Better options in close proximity - After checking in, I couldn't stay here. Air con not working. Room smelled. Bed not double bed size. Strong animal poo smell outside. Animal poo on the path way. @ check-in tried to charge us extra. Restaurant overpriced.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - la posizione è ottimale e si può andare in spiaggia attraversando semplicemente la strada. Le foto in internet sono un po’ datate, ma abbastanza veritiere. Si paga per avere l’aria condizionata. All’ultimo piano c’è un ristorante dove però non servono alcolici. Colazioni ottime! Io ci ritornerei!
- Camille (10/5): Très bonne auberge de jeunesse - La vrai auberge de jeunesse comme on l'attend et comme on en a peu trouvé au Sri -Lanka. Tout est très bien pensé. Le restaurant rooftop est très agréable. A 4km de Mirissa cet établissement faut vraiment le coup. Coup de coeur et fou rire sur le lit bateau dans lequel nous avons bien dormi!

The room smelt a little damp but was really nicely decorated and the air conditioner worked great. The space is chill with yoga classes and the best rooftop to grab breakfast and watch ppl surf

- Verified traveler (8/5): Cozy Backpacker place - Hangtime is a nice and relative cheap place to stay. Staff is very friendly and there are a lot of young people. Rooms have a good value for money but, there are lots of mosquitoes. Each bed has a mosquito net and nearly all have a fan inside the net to make sleeping in the heat more comfortable.
