- Jeff (8/5): Peniscola, Beach View - It's somewhat difficult to get to Peniscola, and leave Peniscola. There's limited taxi service; the regional bus is really the best option to and from the train station. The desk staff would best counsel guests by just telling them to hop on the bus. If the taxi thing can be worked out and advance notice can help, then do advise guests upon check-in. Every other hotel in Europe seems to do this. The actual stay on the property is otherwise unremarkable.

- Anthony (8/5): - This is a nice hotel right across from the beach and tons of activities. Although the rooms are small, they are tidy and clean. The television is as small as my laptop, but we never used it anyway. Beds are hard, but still slept well after hiking all over the castle and enclosed town.

- Nina (6/5): - There wasn't anything really wrong with this property, but we usually stay at 3 or 4 star hotels. This was very basic / utilitarian, like a dorm room. It was fine for just the one night we stayed there. It was also clean. Monica at the desk was very nice and the breakfast buffet was fine and reasonable. We luckily had a room facing the back, which was quiet. The whole promenade along the sea with its touristy restaurants and crowds was a turnoff for us. But this hotel is at least at the end of the hotel mile so very close to the old town and castle, which was why we wanted to visit Peniscola. Would recommend if you are on a budget.
- Hilary (8/5): - We had received incorrect information about the availability of parking. There is none despite the description initially saying that there was some. Public parking near the hotel is very expensive. There was no information when we checked in about wifi and safe deposit box although the hotel does have both. Also they have a strange obsession with you not leaving the hotel without depositing the key behind the desk and you often had to wait to get it returned to you as the staff were all multitasking. However the hotel is in a really good location for the old walled town and Peniscola is well worth a visit

- Michael (8/5): Good seafront hotel - Super location right on the seafront and close to bars and restaurants. Good size room with a balcony and a sea view and a very good bathroom. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast ok but no hot food except toast. I would stay there again.

- Andrew (8/5): Unbeatable location and views - The hotel is clearly aging but clean and well kept. And you can't beat the amazing views (ocean side) and location (5 min to the outer castle walls). Know that you'll need to park on the small street behind the hotel, in one of the blue-marked spaces and use the street pay meter.

- IANCU (8/5): - Hotelul La Cabana, desi nu este dotat cu aparatura ultraperformanta, nu are angajati care stiu limba engleza, mai putin o domnisoara angajata recent, are un mare atuu : locatia !! Locatia este absolut incredibila, vis a vis de mare, la cateva sute de metri de castelul Papa Luna, cu statie de autobuz la cativa metri de hotel, autobuz - nr 2 - care face legatura cu statia de cale ferata numita BENICARLO-PENISCOLA, de unde trenuri mult mai rapide ca in tara noastra ( 200 km/h ) si mult mai silentioase, te duc spre Barcelona sau Valencia, distanta fiind practic aproape egala, aproximativ 220 km. Ca recomandare, o diversificare mai mare a meniului micului dejun, ar fi benefica !! Pentru mine, sa nu vezi un ou timp de 10 zile, sub nici o forma gatit, e ceva !!. Facand un raport firesc intre sederea in acest hotel si banii cheltuiti cu cazarea, rezultatul a fost in final unul satisfacator .

La habitación, amplia, cómoda y en nuestro caso, con unas excelentes vistas, aunque ruidosa si mantienes la cristalera abierta. El personal muy amable y atento, y el desayuno Buffet muy bueno y variado. Sin duda, volvería al mismo hotel.

The room was pleasant with a comfortable, good-sized bed and plenty of storage. Powerful shower. Don't pay for the expensive nearby underground car park. Free on-street parking is available a couple of blocks back from the seafront (white zone).
