Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location close to the Biennale and well connected with all the exhibits we wanted to visit
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Amazing personnel, kind and gentle and professional. Incredible view of Venice from the window. Expensive for the quality
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was fine and clean. Although, musty could use air fresheners throughout the apartment. All basics provided. Bathroom gets dirty quick with all guests using it and the shower needs to be cleaned better there is mold in parts. Close to many sites in Venice and very close to a ferry station.
- Bexiie (8/5): - Cold shower
And lovely staff, Very good location as well
- David (4/5): A loose interpretation of “air conditioned” - The hotel itself was fairly dated but relatively clean. The whole experience fell apart when we realized the air conditioner in the room was broken and it was too hot to sleep. Ended up getting only 3 hours of sleep. When we spoke to reception they said they couldn’t do anything and they didn’t offer us any solutions or compensation. When we went to the desk at 1am, the person working there was unprofessional. Very disappointed that I paid for a room that did not lend itself to sleeping. The plus side was that I got to walk around Venice in the middle of the night to cool off from the room, which meant I could see the sights without hoards of tourists. Would recommend a midnight stroll but would not recommend this hotel.
- Luc (10/5): Great find - Great location with an amazing view (room 3). Large clean room. Large shared bathroom. I would stay here again without hesitation.
- Entela (8/5): Nice place in a nice location! - The hotel is in a very popular place. I didn’t like the sharing bathroom idea at first. Then, you get used to it. Elizabeth was amazing! Not only she prepared the breakfast for us, but she gave us very good tips on how to get used with the places around us. The room had enough space for three of us. The beds weren’t comfortable at all, and the blankets needed to be replaced. They’re old!
- Lawrence (8/5): - Nice enough place. No frills and a little run down but it was safe and very close to Pza. St. Marco, which saved us from wandering the labyrinthine streets of Venice (which sounds nice but is not if you’re also toting a child and several bags/ suitcases).
- Verified traveler (6/5): - good location. bad check in place. shared bathroom.
- Robert (10/5): - The bnb is in an excellent location, literally facing the water. You can quickly walk into the heart of venice from here or jump on a water bus. The room was big and comfortable, not luxurious but good enough to rest after waljifn
- juan (8/5): Great location - Nice place but, I didn't know it was b&b until I booked still good deal
- Verified traveler (6/5): - While the this B&B is clean and close to St. Mark's. I ran into a real customer service issue when the staff wanted to charge me an additional 40 euros per night for my minor child. All members of my party were disclosed on the booking, but the staff only wanted to blame Hotels.com. However, thanks to Hotel.com's customer service the issue was worked out and the B&B's manager appologized for their mistake.
- Maureen (10/5): - Great B&B, very friendly. But Hotels.com did not advise that you have to check in at a different venue. The B*B does not have its own reception. Great breakfast and view over the canal.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent views of Venice! - This B&B was an excellent choice. The Contarini room had incredible views of Venice. Close to Piazza San Marco, but also to via Garibaldi in Castello. I have only two very minor issues. One is the directions given to the B&B. The directs are excellent, but neglect to tell you that you cannot check-in at the property, so after hauling a heavy bag to the front door, you find that you have to back-track to another hotel (Tribute to Music) to check-in, hauling your luggage about 1/2 KM each way. A sign on the door with the contact information would make the all the difference. The other issue was my fault for not reading carefully, but in a B&B, you expect two things, a bed & a breakfast. In this instance, breakfast is at the previously mentioned hotel for an extra charge of Euro 7.50. Now this may just be a seasonal thing as there is a breakfast room on site. Otherwise, the room, the location and the staff were very helpful. The view I had more than made up for the very minor issues.
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely bed and breakfast with amazing views! - A friend and I chose to stay at this bed and breakfast as a last minute decision and we are so glad we did! The room we had was really spacious and well set up with everything you would need - even a sofa, which we turned round in the evenings to face the windows, as the room has the most amazing views over Venice and the sunsets were stunning!
The room was traditionally, but tastefully decorated and the shared bathroom was clean, although in need of re-grouting, but that's the only negative thing I can think of.
The breakfast was lovely - typical continental style with meats, cheeses, bread, pastries,, jam/ honey, fruit and yoghurt. The lady serving us was very helpful and couldn't have been more hospitable. Her English was limited, but as we tried to speak Italian during the holiday anyway, it was a good opportunity to do so!
Check-in and check out at sister hotel "A tribute to music residenzia" went smoothly and the hotel receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. He informed us about events taking place that week in Venice and trips we could go on. Also made recommendations for places to eat and very good they were too! I was actually very ill on the last day of our trip and they couldn't have been more understanding and helpful; even giving us use of one of their rooms at their sister hotel to rest for a few hours after our official check- out time, which was really good.
All- in- all, couldn't recommend this place more highly - thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
- Max (10/5): Great views and good location - The Hotel is a little complicated to enter, you need to register and get the keys at "the Musical Tribute Hotel" which is a few hundred meters away towards St Marks Square. The Entrance to that Hotel is not very obvious either. I recommend calling them as you arrive and they will guide you from the Arsenale Vaporetti stop to their Hotel.
The Hotel itself in upstairs in a building right at the front, it's nicely decorated and the view from either of the front two rooms is AMAZING with clear views out over the Canal. It's about 5 to 10 minutes walk from St Marks and the Vaporetti stop gets you to any part of Venice (although boat route number 1 is very slow as it has very many stops)
The breakfast was very good indeed, a nice lady came to serve it and as she arrived at 8 we made sure to be there at that time, fresh pastries, cakes and bread with great coffee and some meats and cheese set you up for the day.
I really liked this place, I think you would not want to bring a lot of luggage here but for a short stopover with fantastic views and easy access to good transport it looks hard to beat!
