• Andrew (7/5): Overnight whilst walking the via francigena - It is hard to find accommodation on this part of the Via Francigena and this is a great and extremely good value option, with a good restaurant and nice bedrooms. For the price I wouldn’t have expected any more
• PATRICE (8/5): Situation géographique et confort de l'hôtel apprécié. Bonne restauration régionale originale - Accueil très agréable. Chambre très propre, spacieuse et très confortable (nouvelle douche) et surtout au calme. Cuisine du restaurant présente des plats régionaux bien dosé et originaux. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié. Tout ceci avec un prix très abordable.

Dommage que l'hôtel et le bar ne soient pas ouvert toute la journée. A notre arrivée nous aurions aimé partager un petit verre au bar, et le premier bar ouvert était a 14 kms

• yves (2/5): insatisfait - la sympathie du serveur et sa gentillesse chambre n° 1 - douche d'un autre siècle !!! - lits doubles élecriques !!!!!!! qui demande ça dans un hotel !!!!- hotel fermé à l'arrivé à ouvrir avec un code et personne pour vous accueillir - escaliers en bois dangereux pour une personne agée - pas de prise dans la chambre pour recharger un telephone - établissement vieillot qui permet d'entendre beaucoup de bruits lorsque les autres clients descendent le matin

TB bon déjeuner avec pain et croissants chauds (et dès 7h , vraiment top). Un vrai bonheur de trouver ces établissements avec une âme et un vrai sens de l’accueil ❤️❤️

• Joanne (10/5): Perfect stopover - Friendly, clean and comfortable hotel serving authentic french cuisine. It has a bar and also sells some local produce. An ideal stopover from travelling through France close to the motorway. The area is very peaceful and in pretty surroundings with walking trails nearby including the long distance trail GR 145. A lot of history in the area with the Abbey across the road and the Chemin des Martyrs a short walk away. We stayed in the family room which was idea with two teenagers. Only a one night stay but would definately reccommend and would happily stay again if in the area and explore a little further. Nothing

• vickers (8/5): - Lovely quiet place just off the motorway. Restaurant below and we tried the burgers (took them back to our room) which were nice. There is also a bar/pub adjacent to the restaurant that we would have liked to try, if we had more time. The toilet made a very loud noise/vibration when flushing as it is some type of electro-mechanical retrofit. It's a common solution in these environments and is not a problem if you are expecting the noise.

• Jane (8/5): Dog-friendly and great value for money. - Room 16 was on the top floor with an oblique view of the Abbey. It had a bed, small table, chair, TV (French channels) and kettle (paper cups 2 sachets each of coffee and tea; no milk). The bathroom had a sturdy steel bath and piping hot water. Our evening meal was good - I had a vegetarian salad and the cheese platter as my main course and i was more than happy with it; my husband had a main meal; we both had a pudding and a glass of wine - the cost was very reasonable. Breakfast was good (the order is taken the previous evening and served in the hotel dining room). Staff were friendly and cheerful. The location is quiet, but it’s just a 10mn drive directly from the motorway. It served its purpose very well as an overnight stop between Calais and the Alps. WiFi in our room was very poor (its strongest in the bar and dining room).

• Richard Freeman (8/5): Embrace the character, and that makes it a great way to start the first leg of our holiday. - It made a change to stay in a real place with character rather than these motorway hotels, rooms were quirky with a small village location, locals in the bar and an excellent restaurant. Don't expect it to be pristine and new, it is not, but that is what made it a fun place to stay.

Prijs kwaliteit is super! Verouderd gebouw, geen geluidsdichte kamers. De kamers zijn basic. Badkamer is aan vernieuwing toe.

• Roger (7/5): The staff and the location - handy for the motorway - more than made up for any shortcomings. - Restaurant, staff and self check in arrangements were excellent. The rooms, beds, decor and linen (particularly towels) are showing their age. The bathroom (room 5) has a new shower enclosure but it's very dark.

• Susannah (8/5): Great for a family stop off! - Perfect location on the way back up to England from Annecy. We booked last minute around 4pm and arrived very late but there were detailed instructions around how to enter the property and locate our room keys. Family room served us well on the top floor. We left at 7am so didn’t get to meet staff but overall a good experience :) No complaints

• Richard (8/5): Simple, comfortable and good value; full marks for dinner and breakfast. - This is a two star hotel and there is no pretence to luxury. But they get the basics absolutely right. The room and bathroom was recently renovated, clean and adequately large. The dinner was very good value, simple French country fare, freshly cooked, with good value and very drinkable house wine. Breakfast was traditional French, self service, good bread, proper coffee, croissants etc, yoghurts, juice, fruit and fruit compote, nothing cooked. Excellent if, like us, you are fed up with elaborate and pretentious international breakfasts. Family run, friendly staff. We would come again.
