- Douglas (10/5): - It was a great stop along our NC500 trip
- Julie (10/5): - Wonderful hosts. Very thorough. Great breakfast. Quiet location.
- KENNETH (10/5): - Staff / owners extremely helpful and friendly
- Tracey (8/5): - Nice b&b close to Inverness, beautiful area with restaurants and things to do. Bed was lumpy. Breakfast was excellent.
- Inger Klint (8/5): Hyggeligt sted med god betjening - Super venligt personale
Dejlig morgenmad
- Carla (10/5): - Loved staying here. So beautiful. Everyone was friendly. Wildlife spotted from room
- Emiel (10/5): - Perfect!
- Daniel (10/5): - Wonderful hosts. Delicious and abundant breakfast. Room was fine, but smelled a bit musty in places. They did have air fresheners in the room to help mask the smell. Overall great place though and would stay here again.
- Barby (10/5): - The breakfast, the staff, everything was great!
- Zachary (10/5): Super good - We wish we'd arrived earlier and spent another night because this place was really special! The hosts were exceptionally kind and made us delicious breakfast and shortbread cookies. They had great recommendations for the area. The place itself is in the middle of a peaceful forest near Loch Ness.
- Susan (10/5): Love The Steading - Great stay... fabulous owners
- KENNETH (10/5): - Very quiet , tranquil and rural .
Owners of property were extremely helpful, polite.
Breakfast was amazing!
- Maria (10/5): - Beautiful location, great breakfast, kind, helpful and entertaining hostess.
We had a bit of a time getting hot water.
- D (10/5): Well situated for Loch Ness - Extremely comfortable bed.
Room was clean.
Outside areas looked a little tired but no real complaints.
Owner was very helpful and accommodating - would be happy to stay again if I was in the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent rustic b&b - Great small rustic place in middle of no where. Beware need car. Look out for the road sign which is easily missed. Access is via a rough gravel track. Patio under cover with chairs and table. Small fridge in room with complimentary can of soft drink. Plenty of milk in fridge too. Breakfast excellent. Juices, cereals, starters to include warm cossiant or pancake. Fresh fruit strawberries, orange segments, peaches plus cold meats etc. Excellent cooked breakfast to follow complete with haggis and black pudding. Host excellent and suggests places of interest. Bed melted into very comfortable. Suggest driving into either Cannich for the Slaters Arms only place to eat in village or drive in the opposite direction to drummanchiot where plenty on offer.Would recommend and use again when in area
- Amaury (10/5): So good - Awesome!! Kindness, gentleness, a lot of attentions, a very nice place, so Scottish,.....
I highly recommend ❤️❤️
- Tamara (10/5): Great stay - Loved this place!
- George (8/5): Very Happy Stay - my wife and i had a very good stay at the steadind Highland glen Lodge.
We stayed for one night. The room was very nice and the all important. It was clean. We had our evening meal in the restaurant and were very happy with the meal. And at breakfast sheila was very accommodating with us a we didn't want a full breakfast she made us a roll on sausage and bacon rolls.
I would not hesitate to book this again.
George and Isobel McCormack Denny.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A really nice rural small hotel set back from the road.
Easy to find as there was a large sign on the roadside.
Generously sized room with twin beds.
The Internet/WiFi was excellent. Tea and coffee facilities in our room.
Superb breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - They were great. Sheila is the best. Could not fault any part of the visit. Great location and awesome lodgings.
- Helle (8/5): - Stedet ligger meget natur skønt. Værtinden var ikke særlig venlig. Morgenmad var rigtig fin.
- karsten (10/5): A comfy bed and great food - Spent 2 nights in mid August. we enjoyed it very much, mostly because of Sheila who was very helpful and a great cook! The decor of the room was hmmm. ..eclectic ... but the bed was good and everything was spotless and very clean. On top of breakfast (delicious) we also had dinner both nights in the cosy restaurant, everything homemade and absolutely perfect. Would stay there again if in this area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is a bit hard to find . It is quite old but in a good state of repair. Might appeal to people that go for the rustic feel. The hostess was very courteous and the food both breakfast & dinner were very good .
- Jill (8/5): Country Comfort - Comfy B&B setting in the middle of nowhere! (The owner told me to stress that). Spacious rooms with everything you need. Water pressure not so great, but it got the job done. Home cooked meals were delicious, bar was great! Very homey, and VERY quiet!
- Leta (6/5): - It is important to know that this B&B is not in Inverness. It is 26 miles away in the country and one must have a car as there is no public transportation. The accommodations are rustic but comfortable. The service is excellent as is the food. The proprietress went out of her way to accommodate our early morning departures with a wonderful packed breakfast. This is not the place to stay if your objective is to see Inverness but very nice for a break out in nature
- Sandra (10/5): - The host of this property is amazing. Very helpful and entertaining. There were many thoughtful touches in the room. The bathroom was awesome
- peter (10/5): - Very pleasant property off the beaten track. Room very comfortable. Evening meal at the property quite good. Breakfast (included) very good. Friendly staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): Super friendly staff. Massive room. - The staff at this B and B were fantastic. Extremely helpful in both the accommodation and available tourist sights in the area. The Building is currently going through renovations to improve the whole of the site. The room was very clean. and any feedback was welcomed. Having the Restaurant and bar facilities was an added bonus with decent prices.
- karen (10/5): Idyllic hideaway - Perfect rural getaway with all your needs catered for. Such a warm welcome and very helpful. The meals were tasty with very generous portions and the breakfast was excellent. The room was quaint and cosy the bed was very comfortable the room was clean and the decor was pleasing. All in all absolutely fantastic weekend and would go back in a heartbeat and with the winter rates so reasonable I hope to go back soon.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A lovely stay - We had a lovely stay. Great food, beautiful location.
- John (10/5): Hidden Gem near Loch Ness - The owners are very friendly and accommodating to their guests. The food was excellent. It is off the beaten track which is great if you like it quiet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice Inn - Cozy room and great breakfast near Inverness (30 minutes by car), Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle (15 minutes by car)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very peaceful, quiet setting. Very helpful hostess. The room was great, clean and comfortable and nicely decorated.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our host was wonderful, very friendly and gave great advice on places to see. The room was a nice size and comfortable too. There was a strange smell in the bathroom however during our stay although it looked very clean. The dinner was quite average and if we had not been so tired we would not have stayed in for it but traveled elsewhere.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The meals were good, as was the pub/dining room. However the bedrooms did not feel clean, particularly the bedding
.
I have stopped here because you said I would only have to answer 4 questions. You are not being honest and I will not complete any more reviews for you.
- Anne (10/5): - Amazing publicans/hosts - very warm & welcoming … and a whole heap of fun!! Definitely stay there again!!
- Brittany (10/5): Great B&B - Had a wonderful time at this B&B! Such wonderful hospitality. Our room was extremely comfortable, large sized bathroom. The bar was a nice area, great food and great breakfast! If you book directly with them, you will also get a 10% discount
- Heather (10/5): Very cozy little B&B - Just a few miles from Loch Ness, this cute little B&B is just what I was looking for. The room was very spacious and cute. They provided tea/coffee in your room and a full breakfast. Dinner is available in the pub for a reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you with whatever you need. Parking is available in the lot outside and it is very easy to get to. I enjoyed my stay very much and would definitely recommend giving it a try!
- elspeth (10/5): steading country inn - location, room, service, food everything about it was brilliant.would go back in a minute
- Stuart (10/5): Warmth & Tranquility - Warm welcome great food and service in a tranquil location close to all you need.
- Richard (10/5): Tucked away in the heart of the highlands. - Very friendly staff, made to feel really welcome. Food was good around but the breakfast was brilliant.
- Pamela (10/5): - Stayed in the mezzanine. Lovely room clean and comfy. Lovely staff and excellent breakfast.
- Geoffrey (10/5): Relaxing home away from home - The hostess was very helpful with local knowledge, washing etc. We ate at this hotel the night we arrived, and the pizza was great; generous and very reasonable cost. We strongly recommend this boutique b&b hotel, we really enjoyed our time there.
- B S (6/5): Clean rooms and personal service - Lovely spacious room. Very clean. Friendly, helpful owners who had plenty of suggestions for days out and excursions.
- Lindsay (10/5): Great lodge on the outskirts of Inverness - What a great experience at the Steading Country Inn! Our host waited up for us after we got in late from a flight delay. They also gave us a breakfast to go since we arrived late and we were leaving very early in the morning. The room was clean and great and we felt safe and secluded. Wi-fi signal was excellent!
- ian (10/5): Nice Inn in the countryside
- Sheila the landlady was great and although we did not see her husband often his cooking was excellent. We will be visiting Inverness often and intend to book this Inn for each occassion. Looking forward to every visit.
- Matthew (10/5): Homely Inn with great service - The Inn is quite remote along a countryside road but this is not a bad thing as the countryside journey is beautiful and gives a great chance to drive right alongside Loch Ness before arriving at the destination. My wife and myself were welcomed by Sheila who was very friendly and showed us to our room. The room was very clean and comfortable with a modern shower and bathroom. We had a very peaceful night's sleep and in the morning Sheila prepared a full English breakfast which was delicious and a great start to the day ahead. For the price, this is an excellent place to stay and we would have no hesitation to stay here again when visiting Inverness and want to see more of Loch Ness
- Jeff (10/5): - Friendly and helpful owners, quiet, great food.
- Sarah (10/5): - Hosts were lovely, made you feel right at home. Cute room with excellent facilities. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Uriges B and B mit Pub - Uriges B and B mit Pub im Nachbargebäude. Guter Standort für Loch Ness und Uruquart Castle. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber.
- Taylor (10/5): - Great stay, arrived later than planned but able to check in no problems. Super clean and a great breakfast; just wish e could of stayed longer.
Empfehlung!
- Alexander (10/5): Excellent place for relaxation - Excellent place for relaxation. Great and friendly host. Good meals. Recommend to stay at this place
- lynn (10/5): great little inn - Very comfortable had everything we needed. The food in the inn was really lovely and the choice for breakfast was great.
- Cindy (10/5): nice room, quiet area, beautiful location - Sheila and Garry were terrific hosts. Breakfasts were delicious and filling, and the room was very nice and roomy.
