- shilman (10/5): Exceptional - We had a very pleasant, comfortable stay. The staff there is amazing - thoughtful and helpful. The beach is nearby, quiet and far from crowds. There are several restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. Not to mention that the owner mailed us a valuable item that we forgot at the place (this was truly amazing). If I come back to Costa Rica, I would absolutely book this place again. nothing

- Challen John (10/5): Very comfortable accommodation is a super location - The room was spacious and had a very comfortable bed. It was close to a local Soda and two coffee shops. Thw two ladies who worked there were amazing, They even found us a taxi to Liberia when our driver who had been booked to take us to our next accommodation failed to turn up. Puerto Carillo has a wonderful beach and is more relaxed and quieter than neighbouring Samara in my opinion. Overall a great place to stay, Nothing, liked everything.

Eingezäunte Parkplätze. Gastronomie in der Nähe Laute Lage an der Hauptverkehrsstraße. Personalfreier Betrieb mit Codes hatte bei uns nicht funktioniert, da die Mail von Booking später ankam als wir.

- Karine (10/5): Perfect! - One of our best stays in Costa Rica! The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and just a 2-minute drive from the beautiful Playa Carrillo (which I actually preferred over Sámara). From the balcony, we had a view of the pool and could even watch soccer games on the field right across the street. The Wi-Fi worked well, the beds were comfortable, and the parking – though a bit tight – was secure, with a locked gate every night. Beach chairs were provided and came in very handy for our days by the ocean! The only negatives would be the road which is right next to it, so a bit noisy sometimes. Then, the bunk beds which are not very safe because the rail of the top bunk is really small and probably wouldn't prevent a child from falling. Also note that there is no washing machine or dryer on site. But other than that, it was perfect. I recommend the place!

- Aisha (9/5): Superb - This hotel is very nice and cozy, the room was clean and the beds were also clean and comfortable. There was no breakfast included but there is a local soda that is right beside the hotel and there food is great, the pool was clean and very relaxing, the location of the hotel is very close to playa Carillo, Samara and almost 2 hours driving from Tamarindo. The A/C was not strong enough in my first room but the owner was very nice and moved me to a similar room with a better A/C. The hotel is in a little town, don't expect to see a lot of tourist unless you go to Samara beach which is a 10min drive.

Self check-in, after hours, was easy, and we found the lovely grounds and pool to be an oasis. We made our own simple dinner and had everything we needed to prepare it. Absolutely loved our stay here, and wish it were longer! We’ll be back! 💖
- Regan (8/5): - This was a lovely 6 unit complex. We had a family suit that had plenty of room and was well equiped. Quaint complex with a nice pool. Guests were all friendly and we afe new friends on our 9 day stay. It was about a 10-15 min walk to beach. Complex had several beach chairs and cooler bags available. Good Soda next door and groceries available very close by. Jessica who managed the place was very attentive and helpful. The only down side to this place was its proximity to the busy road which could be noisy at times.

- Dominique (9/5): Beautiful accomodation in Playa Carillo - The apartment was spotlessly clean, with great amenities, lovely decor, and a lovely pool and outside area. The staff team, Maria and Jessica, were really lovely and helpful too and lent us cool packs for the beach and boogie boards for the kids. Although it was a bit more expensive than other places we stayed, it was probably our favourite accomodation in Costa Rica and we loved Playa Carillo as well! Nothing! Some dishcloths in the kitchen would have been useful but that's about it.

- Alonzo-Proulx (10/5): - WoW! Coup de cœur de notre voyage. Quel bel établissement, très bien entretenu, propreté impeccable. Nous avions la suite familiale et elle était vraiment bien équipée, épicerie à 2 min de marche, plusieurs restos a distance de marche, playa carillo a distance de marche (et quelle superbe plage avec ses couchers de soleils magnifiques). Nous avons apprécié l’accueil chaleureux. Le prêt de chaises de plages, de body board, de parasol et d’une glacière était vraiment un plus! La piscine est très jolie et vraiment agréable. Nous y retournerions sans hésiter!

- Sheridan (9/5): Very comfortable in good location with very helpful staff. - Nice kitchenette, but only with a single hob. Otherwise, very well stocked, including things like kitchen towel, washing up liquid, sponge, and even sugar. Comfortable bed. We were offered a cool bag, but without an ice pack... still nice though. Use of clothes rack to dry clothes. Extra towels for the beach or pool. We were given a choice on which bungalow to stay in, although the name bungalow was deceptive, as it was just a studio with en-suite bathroom. Near to supermarkets, beach and restaurants. Electrical sockets and beside lamp near bed. Wardrobe and seating provided. No hot water in the bathroom sink. Not enough body wash in bathroom. They provided more when we asked for it, but I don't expect to have to ask for it. Nothing seriously wrong at all.

It's walking distance to the beach. They lend you back-pack beach chairs! Brilliant idea!...even if you do look like a tourist!! lol!! Teh attention to detail in the room was lovely... the kitchen appliances and utensils were really nice...even the mugs...good quality rather than the cheapest, so you felt it was a luxury stay! I was shown around everything when I arrived. It really was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it. I would have liked breakfast included, however there's a soda right next door, so it really didn't matter.

- Johan (10/5): Great place close to lovely beach - Very clean and well appointed, a short walk or drive to the lovely beach Carillo and a 15-20min drive into Samara. We were especially pleased that they had beach stuff (chairs, coolers, boogie boards) we could borrow. Oh and on the second level we got to watch the soccer matches in the evenings across the street from our balcony which was definitely a bonus. Only negative would be road noise could be annoying with all the dirt bikes around.
