Guest Reviews
- Joseph (7/5): Pretty town, okay accommodations. - Lovely old house close to town. The resident dogs and cats were a joy. For more than $300 a night, clean towels would have been welcome the second morning. We weren’t warned to hang the used ones up. Also, breakfast was whatever the owner felt like serving.
- Tobias (10/5): - I had a great stay in Saugatuck at Twin Oaks Inn Nothing to complain on
- Ma (10/5): -
- PAUL (9/5): We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Twin Oaks -- excellent location and hospitality. - Location was excellent, within walking distance to most of the town, with the added bonus of parking. The host prepared very good breakfasts, different each day, and accommodated dietary requests. The host's pets (two friendly dogs and an aloof cat) added to the ambience of the breakfast room, as did the host's running commentary on a variety of issues. The rooms are quite compact -- clean, but decorated with lots of (too much?) stuff. For anyone with problems walking or lifting, the only access to rooms is up a long, steep stairway.
- Richard (10/5): - Great breakfast. Ideal location for visiting Saugatuck.
- Brittany (6/5): - Take this review from someone who has never stayed in a bed and breakfast and knew nothing of proper protocol I guess you could say. I will start off by saying it was a very nice and clean property. convenient and walkable to all shops and dining.
What did not go well….our room was on the main level and it is where others could gather. You could hear when people were out in the area and it was very awkward to just coming out of your room and having the main part where people could sit and congregate right there. Next, our room was so hot. I could not get it at a good temp. I was so miserable and it wasn’t even super hot out. Plus there was a sheet and then a super heavy comforter on the bed so you didn’t have much of an option to cover up with unless you wanted to sweat. The host was nice but very blunt. We stayed here because this town does not have large hotel chains in the quaint downtown area of it. So this is your option for a stay. No problem. Well we never knew we had to make it known we would not be having breakfast in the morning. We had to get to be somewhere and had to leave by 9:30 (breakfast hours 9-10) and it wasn’t served yet (1/2 hour past time it was stated to be at) but no big deal. So we said we had to take off. We basically got scolded in front of the other guests to “let her know” if we won’t be having breakfast tomorrow either so she doesn’t make extra. We paid $350 a night so a few extra eggs shouldn’t mean a reason to treat us that way.
- Judy (10/5): - Molly was a great host. Would like to have seen cookies in the late afternoon and possibly a social hour.
- Richard (6/5): Great place but no EV charging - Place is very nice and clean. Our premium room was spacious, and the owner, Molly, was incredibly friendly and helpful. My only feedback is that the B&B states in its list of amenities that it has onsite EV car charging. While technically true that a 110V plug and extension cord could feasibly charge a car, it would be at a glacial pace. Also, any hotel simply with an outdoor electrical plug could make the same claim, so it’s a bit misleading. I would expect some sort of dedicated destination charger for EVs with that claim. Also every time I tried to plug in my car into the 110V socket, the power shut off via the outlet’s breaker. Therefore, we had to pay for charging at the Tesla Destination charger located in the Best Western parking lot on the outskirts of town. Molly was very apologetic and kind enough to follow us and drive us back to the B&B after plugging in my car, but I had to take an Uber back after the charge completed. I’m leaving this review so that other EV owners know how to plan their visit.
- jack (10/5): Great stay in the best location and near to everything - Great location We parked our car and walked everywhere. Molly was a very friendly and informative host. It felt like a home. The location was a block from the lake. Many good restaurants and locally owned shops. Twin Oaks is a 160 year old home with six well decorated rooms and an extra large bathroom. And the breakfast was home made by the host Nothing
- Katie (8/5): Pleasant - Location, inclusion, comfortable, good breakfast, and nice pups!
- bruno_bra (10/5): Extremely welcoming host, great location and adorable pets waiting for you here! - Incredible location and even more incredible host. Molly comes to the property every day to cook everyone breakfast and she brings her 2 (Bean and Moxy) and her cat (Spot): all of them are adorable! Molly made sure we felt right at home and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. In additional, everything in town is walkable. There's free parking space and good wifi. Nothing.
- karen (10/5): - Molly-best host, beautiful property inside and outside-very convenient and walkable.

Highly recommend and would stay again! Thank you, Molly!
- Jeffrey (8/5): - The owner was very nice. It was clean. Food was good. The bed was not comfortable, and the pillows were horrible

We enjoyed sitting in the back garden. Molly is a fabulous host and a great cook! Her breakfasts were amazing. We loved the location. We could walk to restaruants, shops and the marina.
- Xue (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ariane (10/5): Great Stay! - The absolute best experience. You will enjoy your stay from start to finish. Molly gave us the rundown of the house and showed us our beautiful room. The house was quiet, clean, and delightful. You will enjoy your stay. I did accidentally leave a pair of black shoes there. Molly, I hope you are a size 8 1/2.
- Megyesi (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! Molly and her fur friends are friendly and fun. Very professional. Beautiful B & B with gorgeous porches and relaxing back yard patio. Molly's culinary skills were unexpected and greatly appreciated. What is there not to like?!! Absolute perfection!
- Kimberly (10/5): Exceptional -

- Joan (8/5): Molly the landlady is amazing ! - This is a beautifully quirky B&B.
- Theresa (10/5): - Wonderful Bed and Breakfast that is walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. AMAZING service and breakfasts by Innkeeper, Molly!!
- Stephen (10/5): Amazingly wonderful B&B!!! - Absolutely amazing: the whole place was beautiful, my room was beautiful, all the decorating was top-notch. The breakfasts were delicious, my allergies were taken into scrupulous consideration. The room had everything one could conceivably need when staying away from home. The staff was super-friendly and kind, and helpful in every possible way.
- Brady (10/5): - Amazing location. Ample parking. Molly is an engaging host. The property was built in the 1860s I believe so with that comes a high level of charm as well as some slight inconveniences such as a small shower and vanity. There is AC and there also was an additional AC unit in our room but it didn’t cool much. All in all a very pleasant stay though.
- Natalia (10/5): - Awesome stay!!!
- Jeanne (10/5): - Twin Oaks Inn was fantastically perfect in every way. We went for our anniversary…our 1st time in Saugatuck. We were greeted by Molly and she was wonderful. Made us feel completely at home. Our room was perfect, and absolutely spotless. She had everything we could have needed in case we forgot something. The included breakfast each morning was delicious and Molly was so pleasant to talk to. I would absolutely stay here again if we make our way back to Saugatuck. Perfect location, everything was easily walkable and I’m not really much of a walker. But I had no problems whatsoever. 10 out of 10!!
- Lisa (10/5): - We had a very enjoyable stay.
- Susan (9/5): I liked all the shopping and restaurants within walking distance - Breakfast was good, plentiful
Loved the coffee being ready when I came downstairs
- Geraldyn (10/5): - The place is so charming and very clean.Molly makes very good breakfast. Molly and Rob are great hosts and storytellers. Also, they have two wonderful Aussies that are there to greet you at breakfast time. We had a great stay and hope to come back soon.

The breakfasts that Molly created and served were outstanding! Our room was very spacious and comfortable. This included a private bathroom which was also was large and nicely updated. The common area areas quaint and comfortable. We especially enjoyed sitting in the outdoor backyard area enjoying the surroundings with our coffee. 2 thumbs up and we'd be more than happy to go back!!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Definitely stay at Twin Oaks Inn - Twin Oaks Inn is amazing in every way! Molly, the innkeeper, is so personable & informative. The inn is charming, clean, and has all the amenities one needs. The location is perfect, a 2 block walk to town. On-site, free parking is a bonus. I must mention the delicious breakfast that even met my husband’s gluten-free allergy needs. We will definitely stay here whenever we come to Saugatuck.

- Brian (10/5): Five Stars and Wonderful Hostess! - Twin Oaks is a small, charming B and B perfectly located 1/2 block from downtown Saugatuck. Spacious room with private bath with all the comforts of home. The owner, Molly is helpful and welcoming. They have a strict mask policy in the public areas of the house which I appreciated. We will be back!
- Jeff (10/5): Why stay somewhere else? - When you stay at a B&B, you anticipate a different experience than a hotel can provide. Quaint. Personal. Entertaining, even. Twin Oaks is all of that and more. Molly was an excellent hostess and conversationalist, and made our stay a delight. Breakfast was always delicious and with a unique, tasty twist. The inn was beautiful inside, and our room was cozy and comfortable, with a nice large bathroom. Everything was immaculately clean, and there was always water, coffee and tea available.
This was our first stay at Twin Oaks (and won't be our last). The main reason we chose Twin Oaks was location - and it was perfect. Everything in Saugatuck (except Oval Beach) was easily within walking distance - usually just 2 to 4 blocks away. Molly is very familiar with local shops and restaurants, and is always ready to guide you to the good spots (you have to go to Saugatuck just to try the Nashville hot fried chicken at The Southerner!).
Thanks, Molly, for the hospitality and great conversation. We'll see you soon...
- Dennis (10/5): - Read good reviews before we chose to stay here. Molly was great and it was our first B&B experience and both mornings we had a great breakfast and conversations with others that were staying there. Great location near the downtown area which was key because we could see people struggling to find parking spots.
- James (10/5): Fall getaway in Saugatuck - We had a great stay at Twin Oaks Inn. The location is fantastic for exploring Saugatuck on foot. Our room was very clean and comfortable and our host, Molly, was very attentive to our needs. Excellent breakfast too!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Molly, the innkeeper, was a fabulous host. Twin oaks is in the heart of town which allows for you to park in their private lot and walk to shopping and restaurant district. Twin oaks is quiet and on s quiet residential street. Breakfast was served plated, at your table, on a lovely screened in porch. Twin oaks is a gem!

- Laurence (10/5): Lovely B+B in the heart of Saugatuck - We had a lovely stay at Twin Oaks. As this was our first time in Saugatuck, we found this to be the perfect location in relation to all the shops and restaurants. There was parking on site which made it easy to leave our car worry-free and explore the downtown area. As far as the inn goes, it was very clean and comfortable. The owners are from Virginia Beach and ended up making each room a different design theme based on different parts of where they lived. They were extremely accommodating, sweet, and even gave us great local recommendations of things to do. We also enjoyed the homemade, gourmet breakfast a lot - it was delicious!!! Overall, we had an awesome stay and would definitely stay here again on our next return to Saugatuck!
