Guest Reviews
- Michael (2/5): - The staff and management did not know we were coming. We are the only guests, bathroom does not have accessories such as toiletries, no option to dine in. We were hooked for 3 nights, we left after one night. We won’t come back to this property again.
- Jelian (10/5): - resort is very clean, pool is well maintained and the sea is nice too. staff is very friendly
- Grant (10/5): - A very beautiful location, right on oceans edge. The pool was superb. The rooms spacious with direct water views. The staff were very friendly and the testaurant food delicious.I would certainly go back.
- Francine (10/5): - Schoon, sereen , mooie ligging met fijn zwembad.
- Fericka Jade (10/5): - Everything is perfect except the sink water, please fix thanks.
Overall, recommended. Beautiful Ocean View.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Kareen Pearl (10/5): - The place is great!
- Faiz (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean, great view
- Angela (10/5): Amazing hotel near Oslob - Amazing stay! The staff are very friendly and attentive to our needs. The room is very spacious and had a great view of the ocean. We enjoyed the pool which has an amazing view also. Would definitely come back here if we visit Oslob again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great view of sunrise/moon rise. Amazing ocean views. Access to fishing. Ocean swimming, pool use, with spa/jacuzzi. Staff was very attentive, responsive and proactive. Very pleasant in attitude and conversation. Well kept facility. Rooms are clean, beds and pillows are clean and very comfortable. No problem sleeping even had the air off one night to enjoy the ocean waves as they hit the beach. Bring your own internet, signal is very poor. Not the Ritz, but very good stay, you shouldn’t be disappointed. We will use again if we ever get the chance to be back here.
- douglas (2/5): Not good! - No cable TV. No cook for the kitchen. No record of my booking. Pool not clean.
- Lhorlit (10/5): - The room is clean but ants can easily shows up when u left a left over crumbs. The rooms are big, cold airconditioning,
Staff are nice and helpful. Maybe they can improve if they will have the swimming pool. Because for now, its just a place to sleep and rest.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My friend and I stayed at Jaynet on 23-24 May and overall the stay was very pleasant. The Oceanview is very accurate in the hotel name. You only have to look out your room window or walk out the door for a 180 degree view of a beautiful ocean. The staff was excellent and accommodating in every aspect. The other than good was the Air Con window unit which made varies noice throughout the night that interrupted our sleep. The bar area also had a very nice oceanview but the beer selection was limited. The staff advised us of a local restaurant for our evening meal. Breakfast is included in the price of the stay. There were 6 meals to choose from. We requested our breakfast at 6am and at 5;50am a staff member told us our breakfast was prepared. We also requested a Trike ride at 6:30am to the Whaleshark swim area. The staff informed us at 6:20 that the driver was there. The driver took us to the Whale shark swim area, assisted us in the process and drove us back to Jaynet for P1000. I recommend the Jaynet for a short stay. The one night price of P1786 is reasonable for the service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing view and staff is accommodating to guests needs. Internet was adequate and room was comfortable
- Mr (4/5): - I think the staff were terrific, very helpful, but to see 4 centipedes crawling out of the bed in the morning did scare the f out of me. I think it’s because the property is too close to the sea but still, I won’t wanna stay there again. Lots of sea flies too
- fambeuseukom (10/5): - accessible, friendly staff, reasonable price, great view
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great view, extremely helpful staff
Room accommodations slightly less than expected but still adequate
- Rebecca (10/5): Great service and very helpful staff - The view is incredible looking out into the ocean. They were in the process of building a pool which will be amazing once finished. The staff were very helpful and there was a breakfast included
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel is clean and beauty as in the picture, the location was great beach side with beautiful coral and fish for snorkelling in front of the hotel(if less time rexommend to snorkelling hotel front) but need 5minutes walk to town or tricycle.Food less quality compare the price, but the (too salty) barbecue chicken is recommend. The best thing is free snorkelling and life west provided and rooftop available for wet cloth.
- Ioannis (10/5): A wonderful stay - The staff, room and the view from the room just amazing. The room was clean and big enough. The staff provided everything we asked extra. Fast laundry service. We couldn't be more satisfied with our stay! Highly recommend!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff were great and accommodating. The view is breathtaking as well, but the property still has a long way to go given it’s under construction and incomplete. The staff were reallyyy helpful though!
- Aquababe (10/5): - We traveled as a group of 4 adults and 2 children occupying 2 family rooms. The sea view from the floor to ceiling glass panels is so beautiful. Even without a sandy beach, everyone enjoyed snorkeling at the marine sanctuary in front of the property. We brought our own snorkel sets but they are provided free of charge, if needed. There was a parking space provided for us as we brought our own vehicle. Public transport to Cebu city is so accessible. As my husband and I preferred vegetarian food, they have accommodated our request for eggplant omelette for breakfast. Excellent staff service although the food choices and portion size could be improved. Booking through Expedia was cheaper and was more straightforward than Agoda for this resort. Highly recommended as room was very clean with soft and good quality towels provided. No bath tub but everyone enjoyed the rainfall shower. When needing clarification, communication via the resort manager was prompt and helpful. It's worth having a side trip to Oslob (whale watching) and Kawasan falls either DIY or arranged through the resort. Tumalog falls has been made as a source of water supply for many nearby resorts so not worth visiting.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - If you are looking for a place to unwind, relax and breathe some fresh air with sound waves that are so calming to hear then this is an ideal place place. And I also love how accommodating and friendly their staffs are.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent - Room with an awesome sea view. Great service, friendly staffs and place is clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay, Staff very friendly n helpful. Our Family room was very spacious n clean. They even provided breakfast at 4.30 since we had leave early for Cebu. Highly recommended...Really worth every penny. ...
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Old property, outdated, shower handle fell & broken, bedsheets smells old, didn’t enjoy my stay at all.
- wilson (8/5): - Lovely location and the staff is really friendly and helpful !
- Ahmed (8/5): Very Happy - Best holidays in this hotel
- Gretchen Ann (8/5): - The area was nice.. the swimming pool is still under construction.
- Bernardo (10/5): - The staff is amazing specially this girl who was always helping us. The view is amazing the food is ok. The room is very spacious. I highly recommend this place.
- Missy (6/5): - Room is spacious, there is a Netflix but won't work because of poor internet connection. Though we are on a vacation is still important to have an internet where we can watch movies while relaxing at night after a day trip. Breakfast is suck, there is bread but no butter or any kind to put in it. Staffs are great and friendly. I wish there is more parking space not just one car can park.
- Tony (10/5): Best customer service - Our stay in Jaynet is like a home away from home. The customer service we received is excellent. From our tour guide, Luke. To the Jaynet team: Cecil, Jessa, Liza, Jezel, Charmaine, Charles, Ricky, and Jun-Jun. They met our food restrictions. They coordinated and organized our Canyoneering tour, town visit, grocery stops, and island hopping. They are so wonderful to even take care of our 14-year old daughter while I spent a quality time with my husband in Sumilon Island. The serenity of this place is phenomenal. I will definitely recommend this to my families and friends. A few requests from this place will be to replace old and torn curtains and provide safe in the room.
- richa (10/5): - The staff were friendly and the view is supurb. I had booking on the wrong date and i directly text them the message. They chaged the check-in date for us responsively. Really appreciate.
- mikey (10/5): Great family bonding - We r family of five. Love the room so spacious. Great adventure especially the sardines run which is just in front of the resort. Hospitality at its best. We're sure to come back.
- Bradley (8/5): Clean Rooms, Friendly Staff - Rooms are kept nice and the staff was above average in response to any requests we had... VERY friendly people in the Philippines. Beds were just fine and shower too. You can walk about 5 mins to the right to get to another restaurant or the on-site chef can prepare dinner for you too. Breakfast is simple but you can pay 50cents more for an additional egg. Activity-wise, you may get bored mid-day if you don't have anything planned as there is not a good beach but the rooms were clean and very helpful staff for a good nights rest. Oh, the rooftop is an awesome view for sunset! All-in-all this is certainly a step above a hostel because you have your own bathroom and the rooms are clean but it is not anywhere near a 4 star first class hotel like you'd expect in the US. With the right expectations, this a nice place to have as a base for whale sharking and kawasan falls...
- Jenelle (10/5): Absolutely stunning view - We loved this hotel so much that we booked another night with them and cancelled our previous reservation with another hotel.
The minute you arrive you are welcomed by an amazing staff that made us feel like home. They immediately assisted us with travel tours and excursions. And the room we had was absolutely stunning!!!!!! The view of the ocean and eating breakfast with the sunrise is breathtaking. It made our trip memorable and to learn the owners are fellow Canadians as well made us even more pleased to support our own. I would highly highly highly recommend staying at this hotel; but book fast as there are limited rooms but they are working on expanding. I can't wait to see the completed development.
- Emil (8/5): More TLC would make this place great - Price: $40+ high for a remote non-resort (it’s a building right up to the ocean) I would not call it a resort as stated on the title
Reception: As expected in a small establishment the bar/reception/breakfast counter was cozy, check-in was easy, and breakfast choices were selected at check-in for the following morning.
Wi-Fi – Given a tropical storm was coming, the Wi-Fi service was not reliable and cellular was also affected
Bathroom: Sufficient, the shower had draining issues. Toiletry amenities were 2 (Bad 1 – Good 5). The thick towels impressed me (best in Cebu)
Bed: Foam not that thick, but I was ok with it, sheets were clean, and pillows were soft
Room Amenities: TV, no coffee maker but all you have to do is go outside and ask the staff to brew one for you, unbeatable view of the ocean (big windows)
Hotel Amenities: Since a tropical storm was upon us, we stayed indoors the whole time.
Dinning: Staff will try their best to cater to your needs, the also serve lunch and dinner with a set meal of the day (all food were prepared well)
- Kris (10/5): A step in to paradise - If you are searching for an escape from the crowdness of Cebu city, this is the place to be. The relaxing views from this new built accommodation are amazing. Even the night sky offers much to look at. Initially booked for four days, but extended my stay for two more nights. Hotelstaff consider the guests as their own people. The friendly host Cecil did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Driver Jonjon was an amazing tourguide and person, and showed us the local "secret" itineraries. Chef Jefferson can cook delicious bbq fresh fish. This resort is a true paradise.
- Mina (10/5): Good HOTEL - Nice!
- Jw (10/5): - Amazing seaside experience. Value for money with the view!
- Trevor (10/5): The staff was of 5 star quality! - A great room with a really really good staff. The staff made our stay truly great. Close enough to Whale shark and Kawasan Falls to hit both in a day.
- Hui Lun (8/5): 6 Days 5 Nights Stay at Jaynet Oceanview Resort! - The staff there are really friendly and nice. The room is really comfortable with clean beds and toilet is really spacious too. Bathing towels are clean too. The dining area outside our room is always kept clean and tidy. But however, wifi is quite laggy at times especially when there are many guests using it.
