• ENES BARAN (9/5): I won't be looking for another hotel in Amsterdam - It was a wonderful experience. Every process, from check-in to check-out, was flawless. The hotel's location was quiet, safe, and spotlessly clean. It was perfect for a nice walk before heading out into the crowds in the mornings. It's a 7-minute walk from the metro, and the rooms were spotless. We had a wonderful breakfast every day. We had our last drinks in the Lobby before our flight. I won't be looking for another hotel in Amsterdam.

• Richard (9/5): Stylish hotel, great staff and facilities, excellent East Amsterdam location, very enjoyable stay. - Both my partner and I really enjoyed the breakfast. The ordering process could have been explained a little more clearly, as we weren’t sure whether multiple items were included, but everything we tried was excellent. It would have been a nice touch to receive a small welcome message or acknowledgement, especially as we were staying in the suite and celebrating my partner’s birthday during our stay. We also felt the dinner menu was slightly limited and could have offered a wider selection of options.

• Gabriela Alejandra (10/5): Yo volveré, pero por más días, vamos a ver si cojo una de estas pero más arriba, para poder sentir privacidad al abrir t - Las señoritas de la recepción encantadoras, hasta hablaban Español. Trato muy gentil y amable, pero no solo el personal del hotel, sino también las personas de Amsterdam en general, son las más encantadoras y serviciales que he conocido. Me sentí como en casa, y ha pesar de no dominar el inglés, nos enteramos todos de todo jjajajaja. En cuanto a la habitación, a mí me encantó, amplitud, vista, es una ganga si quieres pasarte una buena temporada, tienen un amplificador para conectarse y poner música, una esterilla para hacer yoga o estiramientos, amplitud, espacio, luz, una mesa muy cómoda para trabajar, como digo, sería una ganga pasarse al menos una semana para poder disfrutar, descansar, meditar, hacer trabajo en línea y más. No es un señalamiento, lo único que creo, en mi experiencia, es que me hubiese gustado estar en un segundo u otro piso alto, porque si quieres abrir todas las ventanas sientes que no tienes privacidad porque pasan personas por allí. Y el único detalle, pensabamos que iban a darnos pasta de dientes y cepillos.

They kindly accommodated an early check-in, so after a long journey I was able to settle in right away. Everyone was very welcoming.

• Bruce (6/5): - The location was good when we realised the proximity to Amstel Station On checkin for which we were 6 hours early we requested any available tourist information and were informed all information was in the room. When we finally arrived to the room there was no tourist information. I went back to the check in desk and the girl immediately reached under the counter and handed me the tourist information folder. The pillows are far too small. We understood that the hotel had an international rating of 4 star. We considered to be 3 at best.

• Mojtaba Parvaneh (9/5): “Beautiful Hotel with Great Atmosphere and Restaurant - I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Although it was not directly in the city center, the location was still very convenient. It was less than a 10-12 minute walk to the metro station, and from there several direct lines connected easily to the central station and downtown Amsterdam. The area itself felt modern and quiet, and I really loved the hotel’s interior design. The whole atmosphere was inspired by nature, with green tones and a very stylish, relaxing aesthetic. The restaurant was excellent as well, beautifully designed and clearly popular even among local visitors. I had dinner there and was extremely satisfied with the quality. Breakfast was also very good, especially the fresh bread that was available. The staff were friendly and helpful during my stay. One evening when I arrived late for dinner, they kindly kept my meal for me. They also provided both ironing service and an iron to use during my stay, which was very useful. I also appreciated the small details in the room. Slippers were provided, which is something I do not often see even in many hotels. There were enough towels and toiletries available, and these details really helped make the stay more comfortable. The room itself was beautifully designed with large windows that brought in a lot of natural light. My room was on the ground floor next to a canal, which created a very peaceful atmosphere, especially in the mornings with ducks and birds around the water. I was also satisfied with the Wi-Fi connection. The speed was reliable and good enough to comfortably handle work and daily tasks. There were only a few minor points that could possibly be improved. The room I booked had what was presented as a double bed, but it was actually two separate beds placed together. Since I stayed alone, it was not a major issue for me, but the separation between the mattresses was noticeable and slightly less comfortable than a real double bed. Another point is that my room was on the ground floor with very large windows facing outside near the street and canal area. The natural light and view were beautiful, and the blinds provided privacy when needed, but during the evening the room was still somewhat visible from outside. Guests who are more sensitive about privacy may find this slightly uncomfortable. I also appreciated being able to use the iron free of charge, which was very helpful. However, the iron itself seemed to have residue from previous improper use and needed cleaning before it could safely be used on clothes. The ironing board cover also looked a bit old compared to the otherwise very clean and stylish atmosphere of the hotel. These are small details, but improving them would match the hotel’s overall quality and presentation even better.

Второе, при броне я указывала кровать одну двухспалку, а нам дали две маленьких)) с дороги хотелось спать и не бегать

After 10min discussion, we could stay - booked one family room (seperated doors), late c/o were charged for 2 rooms. It’s a shame that things like that happen on the day of departure; otherwise, there would have been nothing to complain about
• Spencer (10/5): Exceptionally clean and friendly hotel, mainly used by the locals - I stayed through Kings Day, there were lots of Dutch guests which is a good sign. The locals also eat here. Don't be put off by distance from central, the bus stop is right outside, it comes often and the prices have a daily cap across trains/trams/buses. The place was exceptionally clean, there was no dust on top of any parts. I was in the smallest (comfort room), it was big, the bathroom was very big. Nice shower, water pressure. Black out blinds and a thick curtains. Cannot hear anything outside or from other rooms. The place is well staffed, all the staff speak good English which is helpful and they are really nice people. The room had a laptop sized safe, hangars, coffee machine, kettle, tea bags, coffee/sugar, fridge. The bar gave me milk. There was a hair dryer. Towels are a little bit small (narrow). Lots of plug sockets and they have a box of spare adaptors at reception. Check out 11am, you can change this to 12:00 for free. You can leave your suitcase there all day after you check out. Exceptionally good hotel, will be back! There is a small park and lake across the road. If you walk past that, you can get to a BP garage for cigarettes. The bar seemed to be open until around midnight and you can get drinks or food until late. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner times, and also an all day bar menu which is not too expensive. Leaving!

The location is also convenient for the metro, not far from the city center, but without as many crowds as in the center. The people at the reception are very friendly, and it is a lovely touch that they offer apples. The food in the restaurant is delicious as well. However, there are no vegetables at breakfast, which is strange. The menu is also quite limited and very small, but everything is tasty. pillows were very uncomfortable — extremely hard and large. You could break your neck on them. We asked the hotel for alternative smaller pillows, but they were also very uncomfortable. The mattress was hard as well. No veggies at breakfast

Also got good recommendations of what to do. Amstel Station in walking distance and got us straight to Central Station easily. Got Trams from there where we needed to go. Had room service the one night and the snacks/food was very nice.

• Tibby Xinyang (1/5): Bugs in bed - Nothing Be careful choosing this hotel, watch out for bugs!!! We paid 930 euros without breakfast for something that’s actually worth 748 on the day of booking. When we got back to the room the very first day after a tiring day, we discovered a LIVE silverfish bug the size of a quarter crawling under the bedsheet!!! We killed it with a pillow and immediately contacted the front desk, took them half an hour to finally find a double room for us, then we had to request new bed sheets for two single beds and make up our own bed at 2 a.m. They gave us one day breakfast for the trouble and never mentioned anything about it during our stay despite the reception promising that they would report to management. The service is a luck game in this place too, one lady at the front desk is so rude to everyone, based on the other reviews mentioning something similar, it just shows how much management cares about the customer experience if at all. The hotel is a 10 mins walk from the train station in a residential area with absolutely nothing to see, I’m sure for the same amount of money we spent we could have gone to anywhere but enduring this worst nightmare!

• Sarah (10/5): Retro chic with amenities and great staff! - Retro chic did not disappoint. But all amenities provided in the suite and if not and quick call to reception and sorted! We didn’t eat at the hotel but the lobby looked great and had a great atmosphere. Everything was great.

• oliverwT8962DZ (2/5): Shocking - Absolutely shocking experience. We arrived and it immediately looked like the rooms hadn’t been cleaned at all — especially the bathroom (photos attached). The shower was covered in limescale and the floors were visibly mouldy, like they hadn’t been properly cleaned in months. We raised it with reception and were shown two more rooms… both with exactly the same issue. The excuse given was that “half the housekeeping team are off sick,” which frankly isn’t acceptable — if anything, that should mean fewer rooms sold, not lower standards. Also, limescale and mould build-up comes from months of not cleaning. It’s clear they don’t clean their bathrooms properly. They then attempted to show us a fourth room, but by that point I declined and requested a refund. The girl at reception was polite and clearly embarrassed — she handled things as well as she could. However, the male manager was dismissive and defensive from the start. His response was essentially “we’ve had no other complaints today,” which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. He even claimed to have checked the rooms himself beforehand, which makes the situation even worse if that’s the level they consider acceptable. There was no real apology from him — just a reluctant refund, which he made a point of saying was “against policy,” followed by “hope you find another room.” We ended up booking elsewhere for the same price and had a completely different (and much better) experience. Really disappointing — not just the cleanliness, but the attitude and lack of accountability.
