• Chantal (6/5): - De charme die het hotel uitstraalde. Ruime kamer. Aangename, rustige en stille omgeving Goed ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel. De kamer was zeer vochtig omwille van een waterlek. Tapijt nat en tegels in de badkamer lagen los. Poging om het vasttapijt te drogen met verwarming in de kamer op volle toeren voelde aan als een sauna. Helaas. Kamer was niet echt proper. Houtwerk van ramen was zeer vuil. De kamer is toe aan een opfrissingsbeurt.

Ook was de bediening bij het ontbijt erg chagrijnig. Een gekookt eitje, kon je slurpen met een rietje. De bediening bij het diner was wel erg vriendelijk.

The staff were all friendly and helpful and the food was very good. Hotel looking a bit outdated and tired in places. Bathroom had a shower curtain which seems very outdated these days - the only one we had throughout our tour staying at 8 different places.
• JEAN-PASCAL (6/5): Très moyen - Belle bâtisse au charme très ancien dans un magnifique parc arboré. Le diner était moyen et le petit déjeuner très bien. Chambre très bruyante quand vous vous trouvé a proximité des souffleries du toit. Il est vrai que la soufflerie s'arrête vers 11h le soir mais reprend à 6h30 et c'est donc le réveil assuré. Chambre très petite... très peu d'espace entre le lit et le mur pour accéder à la salle de bain.. A part le cadre général de l'hôtel je ne le recommande pas

There was lots that needed to be updated in the hotel, even with keeping the antique look. Furniture in room was a mix of styles and old, tub in bathroom didn't have anything to prevent slipping for when you got in and out, especially when using as a shower, taps in sink were old which would have been fine if they worked well but they didn't and tables in restaurant were sticky from the cleaner and needed a tablecloth of some kind. Also tables were well worn..

In the country, with walking paths and beautiful gardens – really is a boutique hotel. Our room in the guest cottage had a bedroom and a separate living room -quite a luxury. Breakfast, included, was excellent, good dinners, and staff very helpful. Only hard thing was finding it because the sign in front says Huntington Hotel, not Leonardo, and we kept looking for the latter-also construction on the roads leading to the hotel, which of course they could not help. Would 100% recommend this place

• Andreia (9/5): Estadia bastante agradável num local maravilhoso e com um excelente pequeno almoço. - O hotel fica localizado numa zona muito calma e bastante agradável. O jardim é bastante bonito e tranquilo. O pequeno almoço é muito bom, sobretudo a carta da cozinha em que podemos escolher na hora. Os quartos (incluindo as casas de banho) estão a precisar de reforma. Percebo que seja um edifício antigo, mas há certos pormenores que precisam ser melhorados e modernizados. Apesar desta chamada de atenção, não deixa de haver conforto.

Lovely gardens and peaceful It’s filthy going up the stairs and into the room. I’ve never stayed anywhere as unclean. Dust is thick behind doors. We had a clothes label lying on the carpet. The bath and toilet floor hadn’t had even a wipe over. The bed was freshly laundered which was a relief.

• Paul (1/5): Very poor 2 star at best. - Location was central to Perth and a stepping off point to the Highlands Checked in and was given a group floor room 402..the window was left wide open...so the room was cold and unwelcoming..well except for the huge wasp and mozzy which were let out the window. There was spiderwebs on the lamp shade were it clearly had not been cleaned in a long time. The bathroom was pretty disgusting...mirror had splash marks and the toilet base was rank ....missing grout on the bathroom floor and the plug hole for the bath had ..God knows what is growing in it.. The sink had a crack in the pedisal and in the basin ...so did not hold any water...we left and didn't stay our last night. Breakfast was cheep and easy ingredients and the breakfast room was cold...not really somewhere you want to eat. It has a four star..but more like a 2 at a push...I informed the receptionist of all this as we left and the operation manager called me that day.

• Scott (7/5): Mediocre experience. - The staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Hotel was very cold. Room freezing. Took a while to warm up, and then it got too hot. Old building, so i get that its not an easy balance. 3 of my 4 windows being left wide open on my arrival probably didn’t help. Portions in the restaurant were quite small for the money paid, and the quality was fair. Wouldn’t rush back to the restaurant. Serving staff, again were excellent.
• Sarah (9/5): Magnifique endroit et personnel adorable. - L'hôtel est très bien, l'endroit beau et calme, le personnel est à l'écoute et toujours prêt à vous rendre service. La douche/baignoire n'était pas très pratique : le rideau de douche était trop long donc cela trainait dans la baignoire et il n'y avait pas de pommeau de douche mobile, seulement un pommeau fixe donc les cheveux sont forcément mouillés à chaque passage.

• Wendy (7/5): Lovely quiet place to stay, fantastic service and rooms - food experience could have been better - Staff were super friendly and responsive. The room was lovely and bed was comfy. My husband had the flat iron steak for dinner and he said it was great. We had dinner in the conservatory sitting next to the window sills - the window sills had bugs on them and was a bit dusty, with cobwebs on the lamps on the window sills and cobwebs around the ceiling. Just needed a bit of care and attention from a cleanliness perspective. Also had the BBQ short rib for dinner which was not nice - in fact i left the majority of the meat - it was very gelatinous and tough to eat with little meat on it, and the meat i had was tough. It was a shame because the dessert was beautiful!
• CapnHef (9/5): Nice hotel with friendly staff - The rooms were spacious and clean with good facilities. We had our dog with us and it was helpful that he was allowed in all areas of the hotel. We had dinner and breakfast here and both had plenty of options at reasonable prices. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We were just stopping over for a night after a sports tournament, but would come back as the hotel was in a lovely location with plenty to do nearby.

I could only get a standard double room when I booked. For two people this was too small/cramped - it really was only suitable for one person, or possibly two with very little luggage.

• Edith (8/5): - De kamer was prima en schoon. Bedden lagen goed.uutzicht vanuit 1 raam naar de tuin. Mooi, veel vogelgeluiden. De kamer was gelegen boven of vlakbij de keuken. Tijdens ontbijt en diner hoorde je goed de afzuiging o.i.d. een donker brommend geluid. Gelukkig s nachts dus niet, maar vroeg in de ochtend begon t weer.

The room had hairs in the bath and sink still left over from the previous occupants. The mugs and a spoon for the coffee making facility that had not been cleaned. Even after the remedial cleaning the spoon was left.

Ok these can be quickly remedied with a phone call to reception but are a reflection on standards.

• Dana Wellinger (1/5): Bloß nicht, wenn euch was an Sauberkeit liegt! - Eigentlich hat uns nichts gefallen. Das Personal war freundlich und lösungsorientiert; hatte aber keine passende Lösung parat. Es ist in die Jahre gekommen, das hat aber nichts mit der Sauberkeit zu tun! Wir kamen im Zimmer an und es roch muffing, schimmelig und war voll mit Spinnenweben und Staub. Das Badezimmer roch genauso ekelhaft. Wir sind an die Rezeption gegangen, um nach einem neuen Zimmer zu fragen - angeblich waren alle Zimmer ausgebucht, daraufhin wurde eine erneute Reinigung angeboten und wir bekamen ein Getränk (aus einer dreckigen Tasse). Es wurde gesagt, dass es bereits ein modernes Zimmer sei; es erinnert an den Film Shining zu 100%. Hinzu kamen eine Horde Kleidermotten, weil alles uralt ist und nie richtig gereinigt wurde. Die meisten Gäste sind ab 65 - weshalb dieses Hotel wahrscheinlich gute Bewertungen hat.. Mit einem vier Sterne Hotel hat es absolut nichts zu tun und ein Entgegenkommen gab es ebenfalls nicht. Auch die heilige, verstaubte Bibel in der dreckigen Schublade konnte uns in dieser Nacht leider nicht weiterhelfen! Anbei noch ein paar schöne Bilder unseres Aufenthaltes.

• Russell (9/5): Best place to stay when visiting Perth - Very comfortable stay in this country hotel in pleasant surroundings. Good restaurant. Nice bar.
• Jackie (7/5): - Nice and close to Perth races. Very tired building needs a lot of maintenance. Grubby carpets. Never saw anyone vacuum. Stairs carpet needed good vac. Ran out of shower gel asked but never replaced. Cleaning very basic in room. Just towels replaced. Cobwebs all over. Food in restaurants is very basic. Dogs allowed everywhere. Staff generally all . Was all just 'ok' so Wouldn't return.

• Chs18 (10/5): - This was a beautiful weekend away for us, we were so looked after by the staff, nothing was too much bother for them. We dined in the restaurant both nights and the food was exceptional, service was amazing. Breakfast was again really nice and lots of choice . Our room was clean and tidy, bed extremely comfortable and a very quiet room. Nothing

• Chris (8/5): Very tired hotel, however the staff are very friendly and helpful. - Location is excellent No water from shower, three times. Staff fixed it each time by entering the loft and fiddling with the water system. Apparently this is a common occurrence, really annoying when you’re getting ready to go out.
• milites (7/5): - Habitación muy amplia. Desayuno completo. Muy antiguo, supongo que habrá habitaciones renovadas. No fue nuestro caso. Habitación muy grande, el radiador del baño a tope, el de la habitación no iba. Pero no fue problema. Sino lo hubiera dicho. La puerta va con llave, por detrás tenía la cadena para cerrarlo, como en casa

• Sorbie (7/5): - Breakfast was excellent. Pillows were ok. Bed comfortable Room was clean Staff were very pleasant Toilet roll ran out. No extra ones provided. Glasses and mugs could have been exchanged for clean ones as it was a 2 night stay
• Clare (10/5): Excellent hotel highly reccomend - Beautiful hotel, very clean, well kept. Room was very comfortable and had great facilities. First class service from the staff, felt very welcomed and looked after. Dinner was very nice as was breakfast, great selection of food Grounds very lovely and well looked after, has a lovely walk nearby along the river

• nisbet (8/5): - Warm and comfortable hotel. Excellent breakfast. .Great price for Sunday night. Thought about coming back again for a weekend break but price for Saturday night is almost three times the price and not worth that.
