Guest Reviews
- Maureen (2/5): - ($182)
Room NOT as shown on website
No drinking glasses, no coat hangers, no phone or clock
Door hard to open (replace door knob)
Key was a fight – (get key cards)
No box spring, just a piece of plywood
Beds were creaky as were the floors upstairs
No recepticles for electronics
Only 1 coffee
Walls so thin the dog upstairs & 2 rooms over could be heard barking for 1 ½ hours
Highly overpriced for this room
- Deborah (8/5): - Rocky Inn was a good room for the night. It was clean and very comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept very well. We went to The Moose Pub which was right across the street. We were satisfied and happy with this stay.
- Muaad (2/5): - Not clean
- Peumika (10/5): - Clean and affordable with a cozy, rustic vibe. Great place for a decent stopover.
- Manvir (10/5): -
The Wi-Fi in the hotel room was not working properly, which I didn’t like because it made it difficult to use the internet or connect my devices.
- Michelle (10/5): - The rooms were large and with a kitchenette that we were not expecting.
The people in the room above us were very noisy until 1:00 am. And the mattress was so hard and uncomfortable. We barely slept and we left the hotel at 7:00 am as we were already awake from the morning noise.
- Scott (6/5): - No TV guide
- Wonjung (8/5): - It was cozy but might feel little noisy due to cars on the highway. The cabin was clean but bathroom smelled like old wet laundry. I had some allergy symptoms in the morning so I assumed the bed was little dusty.
- Kenneth (6/5): - This location needs a lot of maintenance
- Diane (10/5): - The staff were so accomadating getting us a lower room. Room was clean only no deadbolt on door.
- Marilyn (8/5): - The property was very clean. Bathroom updated and modern
The bed was a little firm for us but otherwise we were happy with our visit
- Barbara (8/5): - Charming log cabin style room, nice shower, comfortable bed, good location off highway. Needs a bit of TLC.
- Jaeden (10/5): - One of the coolest places I’ve stayed. Rooms were clean and original. Highly recommended!
- Doran (8/5): - Great for a quick stop over!
- James (8/5): - This property is located in a small village on a main highway. Easy walk to limited amenities.
- Daniel (8/5): Don't judge by exterior - The stay was just a quick overnight. By the outside it honestly looked pretty poor but the rooms inside were excellent. The bathroom was brand new. I would stay again.
- Denise (10/5): - We felt very welcome at the property and enjoyed sitting outside the room visiting with all the other guests
- Norm (8/5): - The outside of the hotel is old and looks not so good. The rooms are redone in knotty pine and both comfortable, clean and new. Personally I don't really care about the exterior. The hotels.com site said they had a barbecue and when I arrived they indicated they had no barbecues. The price was right.
- Christopher (2/5): - The bathroom was remodeled and was wonderful however the one bed was extremely hard and the other was so soft. Both of us woke up with very sore backs.
- Alan (8/5): - Rooms were quaint and comfortable, bathroom was midern and shower was awesome
- Lorena (10/5): - Good place for a sleep over during travel. Lots of restaurant options around
- Ronald (6/5): - Ok place
- janice (6/5): - Room was adequate for a 1 night stay. Sheets were itchy, fair amount of noise transfer from outside and neighboring unit. Electrical wiring is questionable at best (see photo of frayed wire…best we could tell extension cord plug-in was wired to overhead light switch?) Our breaker blew once but was fixed quickly…after that we just avoided using certain things in at same time, like overhead light and coffee maker. Bathroom was nice. Check-in/out was easy. Wouldn’t recommend to friends.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Great value - Clean, comfortable room. A/C wasnt working so room was hot. Nice new shower and deep tub for soaking!
- Viral (10/5): - Nice location
- dana (8/5): - It was a great place to rest before hiking. We stayed in a renovated room on the 2nd floor. It was very clean and rustic (cabin-like). Would come back if visiting the area again.
- Mel (6/5): - The room was expensive for what and where it is. The bed was horrible.
- Tamara (8/5): - It was okay. Beds were clean which I’m happy about
- Daniel (6/5): - Nice updated bathroom
- Robyn (2/5): - This is the worst expedia experience I have had. I feel a little catfished by this property.
I booked this 2 Queen bed room, checked in and upon checking in checked the bedding. On the bedding there hair, seeds, a broken glass shard and a pee stain on one bed and hair on the other.
When asked if we could switch rooms or have the bedding replaced within minutes of checking in it was met with a response of the “room was cleaned” - after insisting it needs to be fixed a cleaner apparently was coming to fix it. we left for dinner and I asked for a text message or call when completed so when we knew to come back to the room. No call or message was received. Came back to a response “I said it would be done”, and it was.
Sheets were replaced, laid down to sleep and the bed frame is broken on one of the beds.. bed sags on one side and creeks.
Dead bugs in the shower, on the window sills, no screen in one of the windows, curtains don’t close well so people can peep in. The deadbolt doesn’t turn.
The walls were paper thin.
It was non ideal, we stayed we had a not great sleep and we left, I won’t be booking this property again.
- Bonita (6/5): - Fair price but surrounding area is dusty with little grass. Beds are hard so sore by morning with little sleep. Two flights of stairs to upper room was difficult for our older dog and for us. A fair amount of noise from trains.
- Douglas (8/5): - Think it was too expensive.
- Angela (4/5): Meh - Dated, AC didn’t work, lots of highway noise
- Viktoriia (6/5): - Good for a hotel on the highway. Clean. But noisy. You can hear people in the neighboring rooms and cars on the highway.
- Lindy (6/5): - There was a unit bellow ours that we passed to go to our unit that has junk outside their door that looked uncared for. I feel it was a resident not a guest. Very dirty belongings scattered in front of their door. The stairs had worn lifting carpet. Looks like they may be updating things because the flooring in the room was new and clean as was the washroom. The bedding smelled and looked fresh and clean. Windows could use cleaning & new screens, Wipe the top of the heat elements. The dirt lot around the property may be the culprit.
- Curtis (10/5): - The room had new bathroom and room was very clean.
- Donald (8/5): - Rustic older facility. Large gravel parking lot. Inconvenient dining.
- Karen (10/5): - Wonderful motel. Extremely clean, beautiful bathroom. Love all the wood and well made wood furniture
- Biswajit (8/5): - Good
- Kathy (6/5): - paid way to much for what you get
- Derek (6/5): - No tea bags, no picnic tables for snacks.
Location is far from village centre and shops.
No sidewalk, walk in danger of being run over.
- judith (8/5): - Property was fine and they had no control over the 24 hour road work being done right outside. It should be done very soon as they literally were working around the clock on it.
- Max (8/5): - had a noticeable old-building smell that made it less comfortable
- J (8/5): Easy and clean! - Very clean with a recently renovated bathroom. We stayed just one night but it was good for a full rest.
- Dave (10/5): - Pet Friendly and friendly people
- Mark (8/5): - Great
- Ian (10/5): - Its comfortable, quiet, the beds are nice. Checkin is super easy and check out drop the key and go. Fit the bill for us.
- Rob (6/5): - Basic accommodations; beds VERY firm. A/C not effective on a very warm day. Pet friendly.
- Ian (10/5): - Far enough from the road to be quiet, but close enough a short walk and tou found food.
- Geoff (8/5): - Good place for a one night stay, close to town.
- April (10/5): - An old log style property but well looked after and I like the new bathroom renos, easy walk up stairs and comfortable mattresses!
- Laura (8/5): - It had a lovely view, comfortable beds, clean shower/bathroom, very simple
- Samantha (6/5): - It was totally fine for a one night stay! Bathroom was renovated.
- Christy (8/5): - For an older motel it is quite well maintained. Like the attention to items like having extra hooks available and plenty of outlets for charging devices. Love the style. Very cozy.
- Deborah (8/5): - We wanted a hotel to sleep for 1 night on our way to Vancouver. The staff was excellent- friendly and helpful. The room was good- clean, good shower, and nice size fridge with freezer. There are no amenities but didn’t expect any. The air conditioner worked fine, but was close to 1 of the beds and the air blew onto bed. It was okay. I would stay again.
- Sayantani (10/5): - Nice location. Very neatly cleaned room.
- Gabby (10/5): - Check in was easy and the location was absolutely stunning. We were in 201 and could see the mountains from our window. Our room smelled like cedar so it felt more like a cabin vibe. There is no cell service in the whole town so the hotel had free wifi. It was slower but wasn’t bad for being free and was better than nothing. Will definitely book again!
- Brad (8/5): - Somewhat old but overall nice
- Suzanne (10/5): - Clean room. Accommodating front desk staff. Pet friendly.
- Reliance Resources LTD (2/5): - This place sucked, pictures on Expedia isn’t what we expected. This place is old, furniture my grandmother had. Beds are extremely firm, our bathroom was partially updated. It was relatively quiet until the people upstairs showed up. Thought they were hosting a wrestling tournament. Banging and stomping all night until the early morning. It would take a lot for me to ever come back here again. Paid something like $192 dollars, ain’t worth $40 bucks a night.
- Sharanjit (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at the Rocky Inn. It was clean, quiet, and located near town centre.
- Zhuojian (4/5): - There are some electrical outlet that is just not working. We can’t use the microwave coffee machine etc. Can’t use hair drier in the bathroom either as the outlet there also not working. Can’t find any staff in the morning. Find hair (human and maybe other animals in bed. Right beside the highway and the wall is pretty thin. Do not recommend.
- Wenping (8/5): - Clean and comfortable
- Brittany (10/5): - Such a cute little place. Lots of parking, clean rooms, affordable. Definitely will be back
- Patrick (10/5): - Clean and comfortable, with nice a bathroom.
- William (10/5): - Nice bathroom upgrade. Pleasant cedar aroma throughout.
- Susan (6/5): - Although the staff was good the accommodation was crowded. Not much room to move around.
- Sarah (10/5): - Simple, clean and quiet with friendly staff and comfortable rooms!
- Michelle (6/5): - Pics on site are old so misleading .To be fair, we had a pet they didn’t charge extra for. I would say the place was dated and services minimal. Beds are futons on a board. Would rate this a 6 at best not the 7.8 shown on your site.
- Joshua (6/5): - The bedroom itself could use some renos. Dated furniture, uncomfortable bed.
But I do appreciate how clean it was. The bathrooms were nice.
Wifi is a tad slow if your someone who games while traveling.
I would stay here again
- Martin (10/5): - It was everything we were looking for
- Marjette (6/5): - location is good but rooms are quite old
- Sara (10/5): Good place for an overnight stay - Great place for a stay in Valemount Reasonable price clean
- Adnan (8/5): - Decent room
- Tyler (6/5): - The hotel was fine but the beds were so uncomfortable none of my family us could sleep. We all got up with very sore backs.
- Henry (6/5): - Nothing special. Well worn facility. Has seen better days.
- Aimee (8/5): - Needs to be cleaned up around the property. Front is clean
- Amit (2/5): - The room is dirty and the room smells like cigarettes and the beds are very itchy
- Ivan (10/5): - The staff were very friendly.
- Barbara (6/5): - The property is old and shabby but the bedding and room was clean. The bathroom was spotless. The lighting was terrible. We blew the breaker making coffee. The screen had a hole cut in so you could shut the window. We could hear talking in the next room. No dining on site but available across the highway.
- Robert (10/5): - Nice quiet little motel.
- Paulette (8/5): - Overall good but could hear everything when people checked in late .
- Joanne (6/5): - Room and overall hotel ok, but it was 30 and ac was not working! Uncomfortable night for that reason! Area around hotel needs cleaning up as well.
- Michelle (4/5): Keep driving. - We knew from reviews it was old, and I knew it would smell old. But the beds were bricks. The breakers were tied to the lights, so if you shut off lights the plugs and microwave went off.
- Krystle (6/5): Not as expected - The room was not as expected compared to the pics shared online. The bathroom was nice, recently renovated. The bed was uncomfortable but overall clean room.
- Darrin (10/5): - Nice property. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Beds were great and we enjoyed our stay. Would visit again.
- Breanna (10/5): - Nice place to stay
- Roman (8/5): - Rocky Inn is a clean and well maintained facility. Rooms are large and seem to have been recently renovated, with a nice log cabin vibe. It is ideal for a short stay in the Valemount area.
- Linda (8/5): - We stayed one night en route to final destination. Air conditioning stopped working during a heat wave but was rectified by resetting a breaker. There were limited electrical outlets, so we think that multiple appliances (a/c, microwave) on same circuit caused it to trip.
For a short stay, it was fine.
- Johann (10/5): - 👍
- Douglas (6/5): - Very poor sound proofing. Hear every move from people above. Bathroom had been recently renovated and was very modern and clean.
- James (6/5): - Property is fairly dated except the newly updated bathroom. Rooms are kept very clean so that was great.
- Hank (8/5): Reasonable hotel - Nice hotel for an overnight stay.
- Sheila (10/5): - This is a pleasant surprise. What a adorable room, very spacious and newly renovated. The beds were comfortable and even had a handy table and chairs for using a computer etc. Definitely recommend this charming place and will be back.
- Lois (6/5): Faded chalet - There aren't many inexpensive options near the Rocky Mountains but this still seemed a bit pricey for what we got. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom had been updated. However, the rest of the room was dated and the coffeemaker didn't work. The hotel is a faded chalet style that has seen better days. Hopefully the updated bathrooms mean it's being worked on.
- Jim (10/5): - Nice room layout
- Connie (6/5): - Super basic place to stay. New updated bathroom was nice but remaining property is old and uncomfortable. Bed was very uncomfortable. No ice available.
- lorn (10/5): - newly renovated
- Bruce (8/5): - Updated bathroom with lovely shower!!
- Jade (6/5): - Bed frame on one of the beds was broken. Support was broken under bed frame. Good thing there was only 2 of us and we were able to sleep on the other bed comfortably. Floor was old and creaky. Tried to tip toe around to not make too much noise for neighbours on first level. Ac needs to be upgraded in 204, doesn’t push cool air. Window had no screen and let bugs in.
