They didn't accept my Indian debit card as pre payment (which they always did in the past), so I gave my international credit card number to guarantee the room. They took the money without waiting for me to arrive and settle through my Indian account... Very disappointed!! - prices are on the higher side of the spectrum for the services provided.

The location is great, situated in the Park Street area, its accessible to all the good restaurants and shopping areas. The ambiance of the hotel is so calming and luxurious, and the food at their Indian restaurant “Zyqa” was just a cherry on top. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable as well.

The overall hospitality and service quality were excellent throughout the stay. The staff members are extremely humble, attentive, and professional in the way they handle every request. A special mention for Shantanu from the housekeeping team. He has been exceptionally supportive, polite, and proactive. Every request was taken care of immediately without needing repeated follow-ups, which really made the stay smooth and comfortable. The cleanliness and hygiene standards are very well maintained across the property, rooms are properly managed, and the attention to detail is clearly visible. The food was also very tasty and well prepared. Overall, a highly satisfying experience with great service and very caring staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

• subrato_palit (4/5): Nightmare at AURIS Kolkata - Stayed 19–21 Jan 2026. The only positive is the location near Park Street. Beyond that, the experience was extremely disturbing. In the early hours of the morning, a severe AC failure led to heavy condensation water flooding the room floor. My wife slipped and got injured, turning our stay into a nightmare. The hotel staff admitted they could not fix the issue, and we were forced to spend the night controlling water seepage with towels and buckets. While night staff offered basic first aid, no senior management was available, and there was zero concern, follow-up, or empathy from the hotel. Even after reporting the incident, there was no courtesy call, no medical support check, and no accountability. The GM’s response later was cold and purely procedural. Due to the stress and chaos, we also left behind Prasad from Jagannath Ji. Despite requesting same-day courier assistance, the hotel failed to help, and I had to arrange everything myself. Advice to future travellers: If safety, care, and humane response during emergencies matter to you, think twice before choosing this hotel, especially when traveling with family or elderly members. Location alone cannot compensate for poor service, lack of empathy, and complete failure in crisis handling.

• Compass07899886747 (10/5): Experience of 2 Days stay at aauris - I stayed at Hotel Auris for 2 days. Room is spacious and good . But Early in the morning, the housekeeping staff came to our room and took a water glass, saying it belonged to Room 205. We didn’t think much of it at that time. However, during checkout, the staff told us that one glass was broken and charged us ₹118. It felt like the housekeeping staff smartly replaced a new glass with a broken one and blamed us for it. This was very disappointing and felt like cheating. We were already late for our flight, so to avoid missing it, I paid the amount even though it was unfair. Such behavior spoils the guest experience and raises serious trust issues. I would advise future guests to be careful and double-check such matters during their stay

• Patricia (2/5): Avoid avoid avoid!! - The location was very central, but I would never stay there again Terrible rooms and terrible service. The showers are full of mold, the same Christmas song in the hallway goes on repeat and can be heard. There’s the floor’s phone that rings loudly. But the worst part was that we asked for a non-smoking room, but it reeked of smoke. Even after we left, our clothes that were in the room all stink of smoke. When we complained, they gave us the option to get a downgrade instead. When we arrived, we asked if they had a steam iron for my clothes, and they said yes, but that I would need to pick it up at the reception, which is fine. But then I asked for it again, they said I need to pay for that laundry service, which was ok. But then the picked the clothes up and they delivered them exactly the same. They were still wrinkled, not ironed whatsoever. Fortunately, they fixed the issue after I complained at the reception. Same happened with room delivery. We asked for food, including some butter naan. But they just delivered plain naan. At this point, we were happy that half listened and let it go.

The breakfast spread was impressive and meals is delicious. The house keeping team did an excellent job maintaining cleanliness throughout my stay. The room was always spotless , fresh and nearly arranged. I remember one person Jagdish which includes house keeping team. Sunil ji who's laundry service person, I was also very impressed with the laundry service, clothes were returned on time, perfectly cleaned and well folded.
