- Taehyun (8/5): 아늑한 일본 가정집 느낌! - 분위기 압살. 제가 찍은 라운지 사진을 보고 일본인 친구들도 다들 너무 분위기 아늑하다고 할 정도입니다. 라운지의 코타츠 안에 한 번 들어가면 더는 못 빠져나오실 겁니다. 제가 그랬거든요. 일본어책만 있는 게 아니라 영어, 한국어, 기타 다양한 언어로도 책이 있습니다. 저는 골든카무이 읽었네요. 주인할아버님이랑 아주머님도 너무 친절하십니다. 정말 일본 시골 할머니 할아버지댁에 방문하면 이런 느낌일까 싶습니다. 화장실 앞 세면대에 온수가 안 나옵니다. 겨울 오타루에서 찬물로 세수하고 양치하는 짜릿함을 맛보실 수 있습니다. (샤워실에서는 온수 잘 나오는데, 세면대가 없습니다) 정신이 번쩍 드는 짜릿함이었습니다. 플러스, 호스텔까지 계단을 올라가야 합니다. 겨울에 눈 쌓인 계단을 짐가방을 들고 올라갈 수 있는 분들이 이용하시길 추천드립니다.
- nanami (1/5): 駐車場ない - 犬と猫が可愛いです！ 宿のホームページや小樽観光のサイトで、無料駐車場ありと確認したのですが、到着し伺うと「駐車場があるなんて書いてましたか？ありませんけど。」とのことでした。笑顔が張り付いてはいましたが、呆れたような怒ったような言い方をされ、早々に来なきゃ良かったと思いました😊 ホームページで駐車場の有無を確認したことを伝えると、「ホームページは嘘の情報ですから。」だそうです。 結局、仕方ないからと駐車スペースは貸していただけましたが…。 かなり前から気になっていた念願のお宿でしたのでとっても残念でした。

- Sachiyo (10/5): 小樽での素敵な出会いに感謝です😊 - 札幌からバスで来たので、停留所から10分位歩きました。雪があって歩きにくかったので、小樽駅からじゃなくてよかったです。 宿は、普通のお家のような佇まいです。一人旅の利用者が多いので、他の宿泊客の方と楽しくお話できたことが小樽での何よりの思い出になりました！ 芸術村や運河方面にも割合近かったです。 あえていうなら、洗面所が水しか出ないので、顔を洗うとき手が凍りそうでした。冬でもお湯が出るのが当たり前の便利な世の中ですが、子どもの頃はそうじゃなかっとなぁと思い出しました😊

- RONGGE (10/5): 幸せ！！ - 初めて扉を開けた瞬間から、まるで家に帰ってきたような温かい雰囲気を感じました…🏠 優しい灯りと木の温もりに包まれ、真っ白な雪に囲まれた小樽の中に佇むこの小さなお宿は、今回の旅で一番心に残る場所です。☃️ みなさん本当にとても優しくて可愛らしくて、 日本語があまり得意ではない私ですが、頑張ってたくさんお話ししました。 それに対して、いつも温かく応えてくださって、とても嬉しかったです🥹 お姉さんが作ってくれた朝ごはんは、種類も豊富でとても美味しかったですよ！！🍳 小樽に来て2日目、少し体調を崩してしまい、夜に突然高熱が出てとても辛かったのですが、翌日そのことを知ったお姉さんが、レモンジンジャーティーを作ってくださって…本当に助けられました！！！😭😭😭 猫ちゃんとワンちゃんもとてもお利口で可愛くて、少し一緒に遊ばせてもらい、心から幸せな時間でした！！！🐈⬛🐕 夏にまた機会があれば、ぜひもう一度訪れたいです。 次は、できればもう少し長く滞在したいと思います🥰🥰💖 無

- Nischala (10/5): Dreamy and whimsical place to stay in, best value for money! - 1. So Ghibli coded! What a special place to stay in. Truly a home for travellers, unbelievably comfy and the whole mood and environment were so mystical. 2. The breakfasts - home cooked meals at 500 yen per meal, what a blessing. Highlight of my day. 3. The hospitality- very kind people and as a solo female traveller I felt safe and at ease. Every time I came back from sight seeing outside, I was greeted with an “Okaeri”, really loved that. They were even nice enough to have snow boots free to borrow, what a lifesaver because there’s no way I would’ve survived the snow storm without them. 4. Comfort - so comfortable, slept so peacefully.

The only thing I didn't like was the bed. It was pretty uncomfortable. It felt like I was sleeping directly on the floor. Other than that it was an amazing stay!

I wish I could have stayed longer. The hosts are so friendly and they have the cutest pets. Make sure to order the breakfast which is completely homemade (even the tofu and sausages were!)

- Shahar (10/5): Its the best! ᓚᘏᗢ - They have a cat!! And a dog! The guest house is realy close to a shirne so the surroundings are also beuatiful. I loved the common area is was very cozy and comfy with a lot of room for people to seat together but also many private corners if you need them. They have so many manga (even some engkish ones) and antique or retro toys which im not sure if youre supposed to touch but its pretty cool anyway. It also functioned as a cafe, which serve vegan sweet that was amazing for me. And every morning they have some puding you can buy for 200 yen, and every day they bake incredeble litle buns with different toppings that you can take for just 150¥!! You can also ask for breakfast for just 500¥ and its realy nice and they ask if you have any dietery restruction and realy know how to accomodate different needs like that. There were private shower which apperantly is not an obvious facility for every hostel in japan (some only had public onsens), and they give you free towels. They also can do your laundry for just 400¥ which is cheaper then some laundry coins and hostels when you need to do it yourself. There was also a small kitchen i could use and the whole atmosphere was just very friendly and cozy. Realy loved that guest house, if i ever come back to japan i want to go there again. Highly reccomand it. The bed was just my zise, but i think if someone is very tall the bed might be to small for them. Then again, i dont know if all the beds are the same size.

- mr (9/5): 最高でした。また来たいです。 - ベッドは広く、物を置くハンモックなどもあり、秘密基地間が楽しく、読書が捗りました。共用部もおしゃれで美しく、ねこちゃんもいぬちゃんも可愛かったです。ウェルカムデザートもナチュラルで美味しかったです。共用部はたくさんの場所があり、本を読んだり作業するのにとても良さそうなので、次回は宿でゆっくり過ごす時間も確保したいです。高いところにあり、ロケーションもとてもよかったです。 宿ではないのですが、近隣が居酒屋さんやスナックなどが多い地域だったのか、ワイワイガヤガヤしたお店が多く、ひとりで静かに過ごせる飲食店をうまく見つけられませんでした。日が落ちる前にテイクアウトで何か買っておくのも良いかもしれません。

- Hanna W (10/5): Super gemütlich - Das Hostel ist soo gemütlich, wie ein uriges Wohnzimmer und es gibt unglaublich viel Manga (auch für Japanisch-Anfänger). Es hat einfach viel Persönlichkeit, sodass man sich total wohl fühlt. Ich habe mehr Zeit in dem Hostel verbracht als in der Stadt selber. Der Inhaber ist auch total nett und gibt gute Tipps für die Umgebung. Die Betten sind gemütlich und man hat sogar seinen eigenen Ventilator. Man kann die Küche nicht zum Kochen nutzen.

Highly recommended for foreign tourists who want to experience a Japanese-style bed and breakfast. After getting off at Minami-Otaru Station, you need to walk up a hill and a flight of stairs, which is a bit slippery in snowy weather. It's fine for backpackers, but it's more inconvenient if you have a suitcase.

- Megan (9/5): Superb - I only had a very brief stay but the atmosphere was very homely and inviting, and the staff incredibly helpful. I would love to come back for a longer stay next time! Not an ideal location with a snowboard bag as taxis can't get up close and big staircase on entrance. But great spot otherwise- close to train station and tourist sites.

Comfy otherwise but maybe not gpod for the claustrophobics The toilets looked like from the medieval times. Didn't use them. The owner was rude when I arrived earlier and I didn't like at all since it was said he was nice. He never has been nice once but kept to himself. The staff was lovely and the possibility to make tea and coffe in the morning for a retribution. Located a bit far from central and a bit of a walk. Hidden and hard to find due to the snow.
