• Marwin (10/5): - We absolutely loved our four day stay at this magical place! Best of all was the friendly staff, but we enjoyed our breakfasts, swims in the pool and the breathtaking beach view from our room and balkony. Best accommodation during our stay in Sri Lanka!

• Tuiku (2/5): - Breanfast was bad (toasts cool, few fruits, only one cup coffee) and some mornings it took nearly two hours that we got it without that we asked day before to have breakfast at time. There were nobody who care about cleaning. In the garden was a lot rabbish around like a food and papers. Better say it straight: "Ocean Villa Den should be close. It's not a place where to spend holiday."

• DAVID (8/5): - The view from the room was a ten out of ten and the location from the beach was amazing but unfortunately the cleanliness and maintenance to the room was a five out of ten. The light coming through the glass door was horrible and the bathroom light was like a disco.
• Eileen (1/5): - We had a very disappointing experience at Ocean Villa. We arrived around 8:40 PM and found the roller gate completely closed. For more than 15 minutes, we knocked on the gate and called out, but there was absolutely no response. Even our driver shouted in their language, and we clearly heard two people talking inside, but they completely ignored us. We had no choice but to leave and look for another place late at night. This was extremely stressful, especially since we had a small baby who was hungry and crying. Very unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

• František (7/5): - Ubytování vcelku pěkné. Určitě by stálo za to malinko více dbát na úklid, tím nechci říct, že by někde byla špína, ale utřít prach alespoň jednou za 14 dní by neškodilo. Snídaně první den byla skvělá, druhý den o něco více chudší, ale dobré. Personál milý, přinesli co jsme chtěli a potřebovali. Děkujeme. Celkově dobré ubytování za dobrou cenu. 👍 Toalety a jejich splachování není úplně OK. Prach by se dal určitě utřít jednou za 14 dní, aby to na TV nevypadalo, že to nedělal nikdy nikdo.
• Vít (7/5): Not worth the money - Krásný bazén, terasa i pokoj s výhledem na moře, pláž dostupná přímo ze zahrady ubytování. Dostali jsme uvítací ovocnou šťávu a druhý den nám to samé donesli k lehátkům k bazénu. Ubytování bylo vcelku špinavé, zanedbané. Nádobí na pokoji (hrnky, skleničky, příbory ke snídani) bylo velmi špinavé, vše jsme si museli v ruce umýt. Nikdo ze zaměstnanců neuměl pořádně anglicky, takže byla velmi složitá domluva. Manželská postel byla velmi proležená a nepohodlná. V posteli i na zemi bylo spousty vlasů. Lednice na pokoji sice byla, ale sdílela zásuvku s rychlovarnou konvicí, takže se musela stále vypojovat a zapojovat. Navíc byla lednice velmi stará, špinavá. A jako třešnička na dortu bylo že při placení ubytování si automaticky naúčtovali 10% service charge.

Есть маленький холодильник, кондиционер. Есть бассейн, но мы не успели в нем покупаться. все же в номерах не достаточно чисто было: окна нужно хорошенько протереть. Изначально не включался кондиционер, но персонал пришел и починил. В некоторые моменты складывалось впечатление, что персонал слегка навязчивый.

El desayuno no es como lo anuncian aquí, es muchísimo más escaso, está lejos de Galle, una noche había una fiesta en la piscina con música alta y no nos dejaban dormir, otro día la piscina estaba medio vacía, no pidáis comida para comer en el hotel, no esta buena en absoluto.

Piscina limpia y jardín cuidado. Pudimos aparcar el tuk tuk dentro. La habitación estaba llena de humedades, sobretodo el baño, necesita un buen repaso. Los cristales sucios, aunque entendemos que la brisa marina no ayuda, y agrietados. El personal era amable, però se quedaban mirando en la piscina y preguntaban constantemente dónde íbamos, lo cual era incómodo.

• deepika (1/5): Unclean space - Absolutely nothing They gave us 2 rooms in the ground floor. Room 1: it was stinky. As soon as we checked in, asked for room spray which came 30 mins later. Used it. We enter in again. It was STINKY. called the staff again and they removed a stinky floor mat after we pointed it out to them. Most of the time we stayed in the other room. Sheets not changed. Room 2: The AC was running in room temperature. Call the staff, again. They set temp in 16 and says it’s working. But the compressor did not. So 4 of us stay in one room cas one was stinky and the other AC did not work. We choose heat instead of stink.

• sifaan (2/5): Please dont book this place, absolute waste. - Once my wife and I reached the hotel there were no one and the hotel was closes. Once I called the number they said they dont take bookings from this site anymore and said the villa was closed. It was 10 PM at night and my wife and I were stranded in the middle of the road. After a lot of back and forth we were given the room after nearly an hour and they charged additional as well. We paid 10k per night. Fianlly once we got in the staffs were really kind and great. They were very friendly and stayed up late to help us with our luggages and help us get dinner sorted. The pool was very dirty and oily, we stepped out right after getting in. Breakfast was alright. The whole experience was worse, only good thing was the staffs there were very good and helpful. They were available immediately upon request.

Excellent rooms with AC, a large and spacious bathroom, and a balcony with chairs overlooking the sea and pool. The pool also has a lounge area and dining area, and you'll also have access to the sea. everything was fine but the payment service was not advanced

• Buddika (7/5): If you need something "OK", this is the place - The staff was nice, was helpfull and all. Less crowded, got the whole pool to ourself. Nice beach next to it. The beds were acceptable, and the parking is secure, enough room for about 3,4 cars, maybe even 5. The room was spacious. Has access to a small kitchen that is shared by another couple of rooms. The bathroom/toilet is somewhat see-through to the people in the room, and there was no lock in the toilet. People outside the rooms can see the silhouette clearly, even from the pool. And the pool is not that clean. Did not like the breakfast, not many options.

• Grace (9/5): Lovely! - The room was spacious with A/C. We were treated excellently by the staff who gave us a welcome drink and breakfast was absolutely beautiful! The view was gorgeous and the pool lovely and clean. We were given towels for the sunbeds. The room had hot water and the staff were so friendly. I would definitely recommend the stay particularly given the price point was very reasonable for what you get! There isn’t many places to eat around unless you get a Tuktuk somewhere so do bare this in mind.

• Jiri (3/5): Max 2 nights, avoid to stay longer - Very nice location close to the beach, bus stop to Galle. This property is quite old and the biggest problem is the cleanless and be aware that pictures are probably very old as the reality is different. The room was spacious but old furniture, bedsheets poor quality and some of them dirty. If you agree breakfast at 8:30, you will be lucky if you get it at 9:00 or 9:30. The pool is also very dirty and water not cleaned for ages and only by rainfall. In the area around you can find more options to stay 100% better than tis one. Avoid to stay max. 2 nights if need but without children.
• Melanie (7/5): would stay again - loved the location, and the room was large and spacious. the staff were lovely. generous breakfast the lack of light bulbs, the numerous confusing switches, lack of hot water, and the ‘ring of grime’ around the pool waterline. appreciate the we are four weeks from the end of the season so no doubt the attention to the details has been postponed until a round of maintenance can be done 🤔

• Maree (7/5): A special find - Located on the beach and with a lovely pool. Rooms look out over the beach and the pool. Shower was amazing and the aircon worked. Comfy beds too. Owners were outstanding. Waited up until 1130pm for us and went out of their way to return a left item to my next town. Would recommend that you support this place so it can get even better. It's a small family run hotel with only a few rooms. Easy bus to Galle. Some maintenance issues which the new owners are working on. This place has a lot of potential. No breakfast options so make sure you say if you are vegan or vegetarian.

This hotel like 1 star..not like 3 star or 4 star. Or anything else. Full rubish. We booked via booking.com sea view superior delax room bt when we go there they told us (no) all room are booked. & another matter is, the washroom comod is not clean,& working, wish not to use. We told them several time bt they did not response.The hotel is not Perfect for family. They have dwell behave, seriously i Don't like anything.

• Nuhban (1/5): Worst Villa I have been to. - Absolutely nothing to like about this place except the beach front view of a room which they are so brilliantly marketing. Dont get deceived by the pics. I dont think Booking.com does any checking on these places. Staff are basically beach boys with zero service. Ignorant bunch. Entire place is badly maintained and very unclean from furniture to beds to swimming pool. One room AC did not work and it took them the entire day to repair it. Fans and lights dont work as well.
• Magnea (7/5): Good - The rooms are big and comfortable and the location is fantastic. This hotel has a great pool which they can capitalise on. They have an amazing opportunity to become one of the better hotels on that stretch of beach. But the hotel is very tired. Someone hasn't been managing it properly. Everything needs fixing, updating and painting! The garden furniture needs fixing or replacing. The pictures are misleading. Its easily done by starting with the basic simple details that need to be done much better. For example; Don't offer water in old manky water cooler stations - swap it out for fresh or take it away. Re-invest some of your income in your hotel 😊 it has such a great potential!! Keep it simple and classy. Take one room or area at a time. As much as the " boys" who work there are lovely - the management needs to manage them and get them working harder! Get stuff done and fix all the broken things!!! Also- nobody wants to see inside the workers quarters when going in and out of the building. We wish the management the best of luck in their venture and look forward to see this tired gem being given a refreshed life.

• Lahiru (3/5): Although the rooms were spacious, disappointed about the overall service. - The rooms were spacious. Access to the nearby beach was okay. Convenience to have own meal arrangements for lunch and dinner with the provided shared dining table and pantry area. Staff apart from the cleaning lady wasn't very helpful or attending. The pool seemed not cleaned well as the water felt a little slimy. I had to keep reminding them about the breakfast (the only meal they gave with the accommodation as mentioned) And they didn't even ask us for any preferences. When raining the staircases were very risky as all the water came along the topmost staircase and poured into the next one like a waterfall. Overall not worth the money that we have spent.
