Das einzige was uns etwas gestört hat, dass immer wieder Müll vom Meer an den Strand gespült wurde und den keiner weggeräumt hat. So sind wir dann jeden Tag mit Plastiktüten den Strand abgelaufen und haben ihn sauber getäumt.

• Milla (8/5): Kiva hotelli - Yövyimme bungalowissa, ei merenrannalla. Luultavasti nämä bungalowit hieman vanhempia kuin rannalla olevat tai siltä ainakin näyttivät ulospäin. Lämmin suihku, mikä oli ihanaa. Rauhallinen ja kiva ranta. Toki hieman kaukana kaupoista ja ravintoloista, mutta rantaa pitkin kävelemällä ei ”kylille” kävellyt kun noin 15-20minuuttia. Taksit pyysivät matkasta hieman enemmän, koska tietä pitkin pitää ajaa vuorostossa ja matka-aika pitenee. Aamupala oli oikein hyvä. Hyvä palvelu respassa.

• Ruth (8/5): - I liked the positions of the bungalows - right on the beach. The beach is lovely too and the sunsets are brilliant. The breakfast buffet is distinctly average and wraps up by 10am. My partner made it once. Some menu items are lovely but dependant on who is in the kitchen that day - we had the tom yum soup a lot and some days really mild and others super spicy. One day it was more green than red...! Definately not the cleanest place I have ever stayed but tolerable. They clean on their own timetable as well. It is a bit random. Too many flies in the restaurant. It is run down - the photos advertising it on here are old. Some of the staff are lovely but strike me as a bit jaded, used to changing faces. Do not come here expecting luxury. Come for a reasonable priced hut on a nice beach, not miles from civilisation

• Kingdow (2/5): - The room was very dirty, the wall, the fridge were nasty, the AC was not working. They sent technician to look check and after 2 hours, they put us in a different room and we were ok with the new room. The day after, around 2pm while I was taking a nap, they sent someone to tell us that we have to move back to the old room right then and there. he stood there & watched us pack our belongings as if we were criminals and being evicted from the room. We were very offended by the way they we were being treated and went to the front desk to cancelled the day's stay and asked for a refund. They informed us that we had to talk to Expedia since the reservation was through Expedia. Needless to say, we were very upset.
• Pia (10/5): Fantastiskt! - Var här för andra gången och kommer att åka tillbaka. Älskar.detta ställe! Det är slitet men strandläget och lugnet slår allt. Det är krångligt att ta sig hit men det är bara en fördel, om inte skulle det vara mycket mer folk. Mycket bra enkla restauranger i närheten. Mörkt och tyst på kvällen. Vid lågvatten kan man gå in till stan utmed stranden. Inget för den som vill ha liv och rörelse :-)
• johansV5124MH (2/5): Dont come here! - First the positive. Beautiful location direkt on the beach and nice sea. Ok now the bads The family bungalow (F4) on the beach didn't look good from the outside and even worse on the inside. Dirty floor, beds, bedcovers, curtains and so on. The blanket and pillow were full of stains so we had to ask to get them changed. So they did. In the evening the room was filled with flying ants and other insects because the windows and the door didn't close. Big gaps let the bugs come inside and we could not get them out. The room was full with old and broken furniture and everything else in the room was really in a bad state. We stayed one night and booked a new place on White Sand Beach instead of two nights on WSB resort. I can not rekommend this place to anyone but if they put some money in to it and fix all the broken things it would be a great place. We will not come back again.

• Örjan (6/5): Fint läge men slitet och ofräscht. - Fantastiskt läge på norra änden av stranden, lugnt, mycket mindre människor än på övriga delen av White sand beach. Resorten ganska nergången och i stort behov av renovering. Bungalow ganska sliten och kändes lite ofräsch. Ingen städning, man måste säga till men då görs minsta lilla. Hemsk säng, stenhård och nedlegad, tur det finns massage på stranden som är underbar. Mycket enkel frukost som man tröttnar på efter några dagar. Visserligen jul/nyår men klart överprisat för det man får.

• Gabrielle (8/5): - I love White Sand Beach Resort. I have been here many times in many different seasons and this time it was clearly out of season and quiet. A lone monkey visitor graces us with his presence on occasion. I love the fact that the huts are in the beach and a few steps from the sea. Yes, the huts are plain and simple but everything you need is there. You can sleep to the sound of the waves and wake to the same sound. Sitting on the little verandah at night counting the light of the squid boats on the horizon is another pleasure. If you want more life it is just a walk away down the Long Beach for more restaurants and fire show action. Alternatively, you can arrange a lift into town at the reception. Staff are really sweet and very keen to please. It remains a favourite of mine.
• Bradley (2/5): - I lost my phone in the city, and I was thinking that the people at the front desk would help me to locate it, but they were really no help and this went on for about two days. Then I took matters into my own hands, which should’ve been done the day before, I went and made a police report and when I The resort the guy told me that your phone is gone. You’re never gonna see it again and he was very rude to me and yelled at me and stuff like that and he told me that I had no right to go to 7-Eleven and check the cameras like the police told me to do, so I don’t know why he told me that so I went back to 7-Eleven anyway check the cameras the taxi I left my phone in and then I went outside to the taxi and told them I lost my phone. Did anybody find a phone? sure enough they did and it was delivered to me in 20 minutes , and then when I get back to the resort, the manager just said well that yesterday here and I don’t know the exact logistics of finding Phone they should’ve helped me out some more so I really do not recommend this place at all. Plus, it’s really hard to get to the staff very rude.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Resort nature à l'écart de l'agitation. - Resort très sympa à l'écart de l'agitation. On y accède par la plage depuis White Sand Beach ou par une route raide depuis la route principale. Resort un peu vétuste mais confortable avec un bon petit déjeuner buffet. Les bungalows en front de mer sont littéralement les pieds dans l'eau, aussi préférer les bungalows en deuxième ligne si le bruit des vagues vous gêne. Personnel très accueillant et serviable.

• theoldbarns (8/5): Location Location Location - There are very few places left where you can stay directly on the sand, this is one of them. The bungalows are basic, a bit tired and could do with a makeover and update but to us that wasn't that important. Our bungalow was right on the sand only 8 steps from the sea at high tide. We slept to the sound of the sea and jungle and woke to the most amazing view of the sea every day. The huts have air conditioning and hot showers. This is a secluded resort and recommend motor bike rental from one of the companies on White Sands. The road is very steep but we managed just fine two's up on a 160 moped. The breakfast has a choice of things and is ok, but we are not really breakfast people so usually just had coffee and a bit of fruit (note to resort - please have better quality fruit juice). Staff are friendly and always welcomed us. When you arrive on the island ask the taxi to phone ahead to the resort and they will meet you at the top of the hill to collect you. The walk to the the main White Sands beach at low tide is easy and at high tide interesting (depending how high the tide is you may need to use the wooden walkways up to rocksands, through the restaurant and then the other side - they don't look safe but we made it in one piece). Lots of other resorts and restaurants on the main white sands beach and is more lively, but if you like quiet and stunning beaches then this resort is great. We stayed here 30 years ago (huts very basic then) and returned this year twice in one month. Still a special place and hopefully will stay that way. To White Sand Beach resort - a basic update with neutral colours and natural products, go with eco and basic rather than high end. It doesn't need much to improve what you have. Less choice at breakfast but nice local produce. Big thank you to the staff and family and hope to return again next year.

Holzbeläge in der Rezeption, Lokal sowie der Gehwege sind nicht barfuß begehbar und teilweise sehr Durchbruchgefährdet. Schade, aber sehr nettes Personal und eine wirklich schöne Lage …

• L1125ZO (4/5): Beautiful beach, but don't stay at this hotel - The beach is supreme, hands down. White sand, clean water, and jungle backdrop. This is the only reason this review isn't rated at lowest grade. The bungalow beds were constantly not clean. Instead of top sheets, there were thick blankets that can't be properly washed but shared between all guests. The staff skipped cleaning twice despite daily cleaning according to the booking. The restaurant staff were so stressed they literally run between tables, serving food at wrong tables, and repeatedly missed to cook someone's food at all. The staff couldn't speak English when there were problems to discuss. Very different attitude compared to all other Thailand hotels across the country, and we have extensive travel experience. Taxi drivers don't want to drive there because of the steep 1,5 km hill down to the hotel. Expect to pay 500 THB for taxis to accept the mission, or pay the hotel 200 THB to take you up the hill by car.
• Siegfried (6/5): - Alte, heruntergekommene Anlage. Zum Teil gefährlich! Morsche Laufstege - sogar im Restaurant - sowie allseits hervorstehende rostige Nägel. Mehrere Bewohner haben sich verletzt. Resultat: Schilder aufgestellt, Nicht barfuß laufen!!
• Gaèle (4/5): Hôtel très moyen… - L’emplacement du bungalow était bien. Mais le bungalow lui même était vétuste. Le ménage n’était pas bien fait non plus. Pour le prix, 48 euros par nuit, nous avons été habitué à un niveau de prestation bien meilleur dans les autres hôtels que nous avons fréquenté en Thaïlande. Par contre le personnel était très gentil. En conclusion, c’était cher pour une prestation plus que moyenne… enfin, l’hôtel était en bas d’une grande cote pour accéder à la route, les taxis en lien avec l’hôtel prenaient 100 bth par personne pour la remonter et regagner le centre ville alors que par la plage, c’est plat, 10 min à pied et c’est gratuit. Mais ça, personne ne vous prévient.
• Andreas (8/5): - War alles soweit in Ordnung. Schöne Lokation, toller Strand. Bungalow sauber, nir das Duschen hat nicht geklappt. Immer wieder hat es die Sicherung raus geschmissen und dann konnte man nur noch kalt und im Dunkeln duschen. Leider haben sie es erst nach 1 Woche am letzten Tag hin bekommen, dass es funktioniert
• Carl (8/5): - The location is the best & quietest part of white sands beach - right at the Northern end. I love it. Some people will not like it as it's approx 20 mins to walk along the beach to town. Road is much further & a taxi possible but not easy. Our beach hut is right on the beach - 10 meters from the sea! Accommodation is basic but clean. If you want new & luxury you will not find it here.....Receptionist and manager speak English & are helpful. Perfect for a couple looking for a quiet location and happy to walk into town.

Es war einmal eine schöne Anlage. 2022 wechselte das Management und das gesamte Personal.Der Strand und die Gartenanlage war voller Müll und wurde in 4 Wochen nicht einmal gereinigt. Dadurch war der Strand voller Sandfliegen. Die Bungalows waren in einem sehr schlechten Zustand. Defekte Klimaanlagen defekte Lampen. Oft kein Strom und kein Wasser. Bei jedem stärkeren Wind flogen die Dachplatten weg.Keine Verständigung mit dem Personal im Restaurant und in der Reception möglich. (keiner spricht oder versteht auch nur 1 Wort englisch.Der Hotelmanager ist er nur alle 2 Wochen mal für einen Tag anwesend.Eine Reservierung für einen bestimmten Bungalow ist nur für Thailänder möglich. Alle langjährigen ausländischen Stammgäste, so wie wir auch, bekamen auf ihre Reservierungen per E-mail, auch nach mehreren Nachfragen keine Antwort. Bei der Ankunft wurde uns dann mitgeteilt , das die Bungalows am Strand an den Wochenenden für Thai-Gäste reserviert sind .Also mussten alle Stammgäste ständig die Bungalows wechseln.An den Wochenenden kommen dann die Thai`s aus Bangkok mit grossem Getto-Blaster, und das Hotel verwandelt sich für 3 Tage rund um die Uhr mit ohrenbetäubendem Lärm in eine Partymeile. • 262darren (4/5): Either rent motorbike, stay at resort or walk 1 mile on beach for town - Do not bring a car the step narrow mountain side access is very dangerous if you stop your vehicle going up, you will not be able to start again and will roll back. If you meet a car whilst coming up, you need to pray it is not on one of the narrow sections and that they give way to you. Much better beach villas with views of the islands further down. Not view here except the sea
• Matt (8/5): Exactly what you would expect - As the other reviews say. It is down a very steep slope. If you accept that and that it is a beach hut resort then, it is exactly what it says. Like everything on Koh Chang currently it’s a bit worn however I spent two very relaxing days here and wouldn’t change a thing. Apart from other huts not turning their lights off at night.

Perfektes Hotel für einen ruhigen enstspannten Urlaub am Meer. Supermarkt,Restaurants und alles was man braucht ca. 10-15min Fußmarsch am Strand entlang. Das Hotel selbst hat auch ein Restaurant und Massage direkt am Strand.

• Nigel (4/5): - Thé property enjoys a favourable position on the best beach on Koh Chang. The reason for my dissatisfaction was threefold. 1. The reception staff had little knowledge of English making it almost useless. 2. The bedding was not changed at changeover which I found disgusting. 3. The internet is virtually useless. The whole property is desperately in need of investment particularly the boardwalks and restaurant deck which are dangerous.. The closure of the small shop makes it very inconvenient for such a relatively isolated position. Unless these issues are resolved I cannot recommend this resort and will not be staying again. • James (10/5): - This resort is a throw back to times past when backpackers stayed in 100 baht bunglows. However, these are far newer and better constructed. In addition, all the modern luxuries such as air con and television are included. They don't build resorts like this anymore in Thailand.

Le menage de chambre fait au bout de 3 jours parce qu’on a demandé 2 fois. Restaurant le midi et soir convenable.
• Peter (6/5): - Wir kommen seit über 20 Jahren zum WSB Resort und solange hat sich der Zustand der Bungalows nicht geändert. Es wird nur soviel investiert, wie notwendig. Man lebt von der einmaligen Lage der Anlage am schönsten Strandabschnitt von Ko Chang. Die Anlage müsste komplett renoviert werden.
• Dorothy (2/5): - I stayed one night out of five. Rats under my beach bungalow, rubbish at back of resort, dead cockroach in toilet and rusty water outlet that was broken. Given a power extension on with bare wires, breakfast was awful.. there was cats in and out the kitchen and one of the staff was seen lifting it up and putting it inside a drinks cooler and closing the door on it. I have photos. You used to be able to go through Rock Sands resort/bar and diner but it’s almost abandoned and looks awful. You need to almost walk two planks where there looks to have been a landslide. It’s almost impossible to get the the rest of white sands and certainly not if you are a little older. I booked else where and received a refund. Never ever be back!

• Manfred (6/5): Ehemaliges Traumdomizil verfällt zusehens. - Wir waren vor 4 Jahren schon drei Wochen in einem Strandbungalow. Es war wunderschön, gepflegt, der Strand sauber mit täglicher Saubermachung der Unterkunft. Dieses mal nichts mehr davon zu sehen. Bei den Terrassendielen im Restaurant standen die Nägel heraus, bzw. fehlten überhaupt. Barfuß zu gehen wäre ein wunderbares Verletzungspotential.

• Pia (10/5): Bästa läget! - Äldre, slitet och enkelt. Men om man gillar stranden kan läget inte vara bättre. Underbar strand med gott om skugga från träden. Apor som klättrar på bungalowen. Lugnt och fridfullt. Nära till enkla och trevliga restauranger och en kvart att gå till stan utmed stranden. Den vackraste solnedgång jag sett. Rekommenderas!!
• Beatrice (6/5): - Die Anlage und der Strand sind nicht mehr so gepflegt wie einst. Die Zimmer sind zweckmässig eingerichtet. Der Service lässt zu wünschen übrig. Trotz der Bitte das Zimmer während 8 Tagen Aufenthalt einmal zu reinigen, die Handtücher zu wechseln und der Papierkorb zu leeren, wurde es nie erledigt. Das Personal war jedoch sehr freundlich. Der Aufenthalt war trotz Allem sehr schön ☺️

• joewacharakorn (10/5): Nice Resort - We are here for a short vacation trip but luckily that the resort is empty as people are heading to BKK prior to my stay, the location is really great I got a beachfront room :) so can only lay down in front of the room all day.
• PSt0rm (4/5): Impossible location - Horrific Food - Koh Chang has so many better options. Don't bother with this place. The biggest issue is that you CANNOT stay here without a car. The road to the hotel is one kilometer straight down on like a 60 degree angle. You pretty much need a 4x4 to tackle it. The local taxis (songtheaw) refuse to drive it. We were forced to rent a car for our stay mostly because we spent the first day and night frustrated and angry, unable to get in and out of our hotel. At low tide, you can walk 1.5 kilometers along the hot, sandy beach to the town around the peninsula. But at high tide, you are trapped, no way to get around with waist-deep ocean and strong waves blocking your path to the hotel. The hotel have a car and every single time you want to come or go from the hotel, you have to call them and explain. They make you wait 15+ minutes ... and sometimes they don't answer their phone. We called them 20+ times one night before they answered. It was 9:30pm. So ... we rented a car at an additional cost of 1600 baht just so that we could access our own overpriced hotel. That is also perilous as the road to the hotel is kind of death-defying. We saw one group of Thai locals lose traction and roll backwards down the hill, crashing into the rocks at the bottom. The rooms are super average. Just okay. The hot water heater did not work at all. They don't change your towels each day unless you call them from your mobile and have strained conversations in broken English with them. The place is in perpetual shadow of the jungle mountains so everything is very wet and damp. The paths are rotten raised wood which your foot will go through randomly. It is in disrepair. The worst part though was the breakfast. We went the first day then never returned. It was simply the worst food I have ever seen. All of it freezing cold. Just a single plate plonked down in front of you, no preferences allowed, I asked if I could have my eggs well done, they shrugged and gave me the same cold, sloppy eggs as everyone else. 2 cold, inedible hotdogs that I tried to give to an actual dog, but even he refused to eat them, they are not meat. One slice of fluorescent pink artificial luncheon "meat" of some kind. 2 slices of white bread. Thats it. It was vile. It was not food. The staff tried. They tried to do their best. They were all pleasant enough.... but this place is just a mess. They are clearly super understaffed after they got rid of everyone during Covid. The beach area was covered in trash, both natural debris and plastic. They could have swept it once a day. The beach is nice. Some of the most isolated and pleasant. Much nicer than the beach at the south end of White Sand Beach. It was quiet at night. No thumping bass of bar music, I could not hear other guests. That was a good point. The beds were comfy. It is for these points alone that the hotel gets 2 stars instead of 1. I have been to Koh Chang now 4 times... every other place I have stayed is a better choice than White Sands Beach Resort.
• Lars (8/5): Primitiv luksus. - Simpel living på stranden - PÅ STRANDEN... 10 skridt fra bungalow til vandkanten - fantastisk. Super sted til prisen - virkelig fantastisk, men absolut ikke luksus. Det ligger lidt afsidigt - der er for langt at gå ind til byen, hvilket du skal - ind til byen altså, for maden er ikke så god her. Men lej en scooter eller praj en taxi.

• SuchadaC39 (8/5): Right on the beach - Very satisfied with bungalow location, nice cold AC and soft bed. However the water pressure from shower head is too weak and not enough air ventilation in the bathroom so the damp smell is there all the time.
• Sandra (8/5): Idyllisk plats - Fantastiskt plats med en egen bungalow på stranden. Rekommenderar att betala det lilla extra för att ha beach front. Detta hotell är ingen resort med aktiviteter och shower, men har kort avstånd till mer liv och main street. Tar cirka 5 min att gå till flera restauranger och barer och cirka 15 min till Main street med marknader, affärer och restauranger. Fantastisk plats att bo på och rekommenderas verkligen om man vill bo på White sand beach då de andra platserna kan vara lite mer ockuperade och störande. Väldigt enkel frukost med thaimat och annat. Middagsmenyn var helt OK. Dem har en liten shop för diverse nödvändigheter. Alla har begränsade engelskkunskaper, men väldigt trevlig personal som vill hjälpa till. Rummen har ingen safe. Rekommenderar denna platsen!
• Max (6/5): Disappointed!! - buildings in a bad shape! restaurant and reception area bad shape! AC worked unsatisfied! Resort management have not warned customer of Sea Lice, all of my family still have bites and working on curing!
• 204antoinec (4/5): Very desapointed - In 5 nights on Koh chang we have changed of room 3 times. The first one, a water leak in the bedroom, the second time, the aieconditioner didn't work and the bathroom was horrible. The third room was the most ok, even if the main door locker xas broken, the lamp in the bathroom was broken too. Everithing in this resort has a problem.. Rusted nail on the floor (be carefull with naked feets), poor breakfeast, and we have to pay 100 bahts to climb the 600m cliff to join the main road. The reception lady was lasy and not friendly at all. However the beach was good, the only thing that is not depending of this hôtel.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - Becareful when booking this hotel as it’s off the beaten track and only access at night out of the middle of nowhere is to hire your own motorbike. Rooms are well over priced and staff charge you twice for motorbike higher so make sure you get a receipt for everything at the resort so that they can’t try to scam you!

• TomaszM203 (2/5): Not recommended - This place probably had some charm a few years ago. No it's deteriorating. Rooms are dirty and terribly worn. Food not good, staff rather unfriendly. The only upside is quiet location. I would say that this place is ok if you get a double room for under 25$.
• MikeStefanelli (6/5): Disappointed - Despite the relatively high price, this is a very basic resort with basic accommodations. We had to upgrade when we arrived as our initial bungalow was super tiny and very musty. Our upgrade was slightly better but there were dead bugs and gecko poop all over the floor. At least there was a broom in this hut so we could sweep up ourselves. The wooden walkway connecting the huts was old with loose boards and nails protruding. The garden surroundings could be beautiful but they are minimally maintained. For the price, we expected more. On our first morning, the breakfast food was running out long before breakfast was scheduled to end. It is a quiet beach so if rustic bungalows appeal to you, you might enjoy it. We moved after 3 nights.
