- Chantal (9/5): Superb - very welcoming. room was spotless and bathroom had a great shower. Location is within walking distance of the Lamb in Nomansland, a cosy traditional pub in the New Forest serving great food. we had to leave very early and the owner was kind enough to make us a packed breakfast to take with us. Room was equipped with a fan and electric radiator but a duvet would be a good addition.
- Jeff (10/5): Loved it - Breakfast was amazing. Shower was brilliant, comfortable bed. Edge of The New Forest location. What’s not to like Car parking a little tight but didn’t detract from our stay
- Johnson (6/5): Pleasant stay that served its purpose for our trip. - The owner was very hospitable and looked after us well. A bit dated in the entrance.

Comfy bed and fantastic shower.
Small wildlife reserve right opposite. Parking is a little tight, but there was a space reserved for me.
- Janice (7/5): Good -
- Smith (9/5): Wonderful host, and a comfortable room with great facilities. - The host was wonderful, very helpful, and accommodating, a cooked breakfast was made on time to our preferences every day to accommodate our dietary requirements. The only issue we find problematic was the parking arrangements having, to reverse out of the drive on to the main road.
- Tracy (10/5): Great Location, lovely host - Great location, lovely host, room was comfortable and warm, bed was so comfy. Very quite location, breakfast was good. Nothing to dislike, but a light above the name at the entranceGraet of the property would make it a lot easier to find in the dark.
- Steve (10/5): A great guesthouse. - I was on a charity bike ride, and this was my day two stopover. The day wasn't the best and I was delayed. The guest house was very understanding and allowed me to check in late. Very welcoming and very helpful.
Thank you so much.
I very much recommend this guesthouse.
If I'm in the area I would definitely use again.
Again thank you. Nothing.
- Tingting (10/5): Exceptional - We had a lovely stay at Cameron House. The room was very clean and all facilities were well maintained and working well. The host was lovely, warm and welcoming. We arrived 2 hours before the check-in time but she welcomed us with no fuss. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to our liking. The location was quiet but easy access to the forest. We loved everything about the Cameron House and would strongly recommend it to everyone who travel to the North of New Forest! Nothing!
- Clive (9/5): Would visit this property again. - Large and comfortable room, very clean and a welcoming host. Bit difficult to find in the dark, but helped by host with a torch.
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Eric (9/5): Superb -
- Sally (8/5): Very good - The owner is very friendly and the room was spotlessly clean although rather dated.
It is in a good position to explore the New Forest and surrounding area.
We didn't book breakfast as going out for brunch but a lovely touch was offering us a selection of pastries and fruit. Much appreciated. The message received from the property was rather authoritarian. Check in only between 4 and 8, phoned at 4.30 as hadn't arrived. A late checkout after 10 may incur costs, children of 6 and over considered an adult which of course they are not. Talking about use of Internet being monitored in the information book.
Shame really as it spoilt the visit.
- Tracy (9/5): Comfortable b and b - The room was large and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. A good selection of drinks on the hospitality tray and products in the bathroom. We were very well looked after by Fodula.
- Rona (9/5): Superb -
- Hanne (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was nice and clean. The owners were so nice and welcoming. I can definitely recommend Cameron house 🌸
- Jeffrey (8/5): A comfortable and Ideal position to explore the New Forest - Lovely breakfast prepared and served with care
- Maarten (8/5): A great stay at a calm and quiet location, nearest to New Forest N.P. - We got to choose our breakfast, which came in very handy, this way there is minimal waste. The meal was prepared for us at the moment. Everything was fresh. Plenty of coffee is supplied. Our host welcomed us in a very spontanious way, no pressure. The only thing we could suggest is not to put carpets on all the floors in the house. But this seems to be a British way of building/living?
- Robert (10/5): Lovely location. Host was very friendly. Comfortable accommodation . - Breakfast was exceptional. Nothing was too much travel. Nothing.
- Angela (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - Made to feel very well, friendly host.
Room was clean, airy and very comfortable. good on-suite facilities, shower had a good flow.
Freshly cooked and hot breakfast. Probably one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Nothing.
- Stewart (10/5): Fabulous B and B - The welcome was lovely. Our room was impeccable, very clean and comfortable. The facilities in our room are what you would expect from a decent hotel. Breakfast was great.
- Cara (10/5): Wonderful stay! Would definitely stay again - + Room and bed was super comfortable
+ Breakfast was delicious and huge
+ Hosts are the most lovely people, eager to help and give tips Nothing!
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hilary (10/5): Highly recommended. - Breakfast was excellent and had kindly provided for special dietary requirements.
Location excellent for Hamptworth Croquet Club.
Open nature reserve over the road from property.w
Host provided warm welcome and offered ideas of local places of interest to visit. Can't think of anything.
- Sally (10/5): It was a quality stay. Location was great. Not far to get to anywhere in the New Forest. - Friendliness, quality of food for breakfast. Little touches such as a little pack containing a hair band, cotton buds, floss. very handy to use, Shower was wonderful and easy to use. Great to have a fan in the room. There is nothing I did not like.
- Ajay (10/5): Worth your time, money and peace. - Lovely Ambience, fulfilling all basic amenities and breakfast served was scrumptious. In addition to it, spacious room and spick and span. Also, host made us feel at home.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty!
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Lovely and clean good Host good food

- Samantha (8/5): Our Weekend Stay - Fantastic Tasty Breakfast
Really Comfy Bed, Best night sleep
A Complimentary bottle of wine as it was our Anniversary which was a kind gesture
Very soft, Luxurious Towels
Lovely Hosts When I Booked I got the Last Room and it showed photos of a Large Room with a seperate sofa area and large Bathroom. I was really excited as I thought we were getting that room. But we got a much smaller room than the photos shown which was a little disappointing.
It was very clean, with a Comfy Bed but I felt disappointed as we didnt get the larger room I thought we were going to get that I had booked.
- Viv (10/5): Working locally. - Close to Green Hill Farm where I was working.
Quiet location , comfy bed & great breakfast. Car parking needs looking at, other than that all good.
- Neil (9/5): Superb -
- Teresa (9/5): Lovely New Forest B&B - A lovely B&B with a very comfortable room - comfortable bed and nice shower and a lovely welcoming ladylady. It was short but sweet stay as we were only there one might.
I also recommend the local pub Landford Poacher for something to eat. Excellent 😃
- Roger (10/5): Great beds - Friendly host.
Good breakfast choices
Clean and comfortable room.
Bed extremely comfortable.
Good powerful shower. Could do with a firmer pillow. That is only a minor thing.usb port beside bed is not functioning. Only saying this for maintenenc as you wouldn't know without trying it. No complaints really. Great place.
- Thelma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carole (10/5): Wonderful stay in a peaceful location. - Excellent location for visiting the New Forest. We were welcomed by the lovely lady owner( sorry can't remember your name) who explained everything we needed to know about our stay. Our room was beautiful, the bed was so comfortable and we had probably the best nights sleep we had in a long while. The shower was brilliant to! The breakfast was scrumptious . I am a vegetarian and I can assure any vegetarian that you will get a tasty well presented breakfast. The cleanliness of the place was more than a 10. The warmth and hospitality of both the owners was also exceptional. We arrived as guests and left as friends. We would not hesitate to return. A very huge thank you to such a lovely couple.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Clean modern rooms, great shower and breakfast.perfect location for Forest visitors. Small step up to front door which is invisible to see and is very dangerous and should be marked. The TV reception was intermittent.
- Anna (7/5): Good - Comfy bed and good shower Noisy bathroom fan that didn't switch off all night.
- Linda (10/5): Very relaxing - We loved how spacious and clean our room was.The breakfast was excellent and plentiful and they catered for my dietary needs perfectly. The location was perfect in the sense it wasn’t a long drive to reach many of the towns or country side. The only downside was he fact that we couldn’t stay longer.
- Vivien (7/5): Good - The owners where very nice people, couldn't fault them, would do anything for you.
- Robinson (9/5): Superb -
- Vivienne (10/5): Excellent stay! - We had a lovely stay; the B&B was clean, tidy and welcoming. They were so accommodating and kind, and breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be returning on another visit to the New Forest.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Little restricted - The room was lovely. Food was lovely. Downside was not having a key to get into house. Didn't feel private enough
- Duncan (8/5): Good but lacking something - Cameron House seems to be a big, residential house on a long residential street. It doesn't advertise itself well from the outside so we drove straight past it first time. The drive is narrow and there's nowhere to turn round so we ended up having to reverse out which is a bit scary given the high walls around the property.
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, but I don't understand why we had to present a passport or other id in order to check in. I've never been asked for that in any other hotel in the UK.
The room was fine with everything that you need, although the door to the bathroom (shower only - no bath) wasn't easy to open, which caused me a bit of a panic when I thought for a few seconds that I was locked in.
The local area isn't particularly great. Don't expect a small, cozy village. And although you can cross the road, climb over a style and be in the New Forest, it's called something bog! (Can't remember what the something is, but it didn't sound welcoming).
So all in all it was a good standard, clean and the hosts were lovely, but something about it just didn't click with me. I can't put my finger on it, but I can't imagine heading back there out of choice.
- Jill (10/5): Quiet location - Good location near to A36. Clean comfortable room - very good mattress and excellent shower. Breakfast was delicious. Owners friendly and helpful.
- Melek (10/5): Cameron House - Stayed at Cameron House just for one night with my husband. Family run business, lovely couple, would definitely go back and would recommend to others.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely, welcoming hosts. Very good breakfast. The whole place was spotless. Would go again and recommend to anyone. A very enjoyable visit and place to stay.
- ness (10/5): Lovely bed and breakfast. Home from home. - Cameron house was a home from home.
We had a lovely stay. Everything was perfect. The hospitality was amazing as was the room from cleanliness to comfort. We will be returning.
- Debby (10/5): Overnight Stay - We arrived quite late due to traffic problems. The kind hosts waited up for us which was lovely. We didn't book breakfast as we had to leave very early for our meeting in Salisbury. Everything was beautifully decorated clean and well thought out. Would stay again if visiting the area in the future.
- Erin (8/5): Good stay with kids - We stayed in the family suite with two young children. This is more like an Air BnB experience than a hotel, which was fine with us. The family lives there and makes breakfast each morning. The main issue was that the wi-fi didn't work, which was a larger
Problem with no cell phone signal there. Also, they use fragranced laundry detergent and air fragrance which is fine for some but we dislike. Overall, though, they are a sweet family that provide a personal touch.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Othmar Unterer - Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber.
Hatten alles was wir bräuchten.
Etwas abgeschieden und nicht so einfach zu finden.
Gute Ausgangslage für div. Besichtigungen.
- Hallwalsh (2/5): Poor Experience - Room was small, musty and extremely hot.
Windows were open and there was a resident blue bottle buzzing around the room.
As my son has allergies we decided not to stay.
The hotel staff stated no refund - talk to Expedia. When I pointed out Expedia's T&Cs that the second night was refundable I was told that no-one onsite knew how to process a refund so I would have to wait.
It is now one week later and still no refund.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly clean and a really good shower - Spent one very nice night here. Very friendly and accommodating. Couldn't really be happier. Just don't expect to use the pool that is in the photos. Great location in the new forest. Felt like a proper bnb staying in a family home, although it was very professionally set up and I felt very secure and welcome. Everything was very clean and the shower was really really good.
