- Kerri (2/5): Overpriced Accommodations - The only positive was the view of Whiteface - however had to stay inside since music blasting until 9pm by owner and his dogs running loose. Room smelled musty and did not seem clean. There was still a sock in the bathroom from a previous visitor and toilet paper colored on. Owner was playing loud music (opera/classical) outside until 9pm. Owner's dogs were freely roaming forcing us to stay inside with ours. The pictures are outdated. There is no pool and a lot of extra stuff around the property making it feel trashy. Definitely overpriced for amenities and quality. Had the price reflected the condition, this would not be a complaint, We were suppose to stay two nights, we high-tailed out of there at 6am.

- Lyle (9/5): I enjoyed the comfort, location and convenience of the Ledge Rock. - The location to Lake Placid was perfect. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful! I didn't get breakfast there. There was no pan in my kitchenette to use. I thought there would be more appliances available to use to cook, but that wasn't the case. There should be a clearer post that there aren't any laundry facilities at the Ledge Rock, so people can plan accordingly.
- Devadasan (10/5): The location cannot be beat - Location cannot be beat, just steps away from the Little Whiteface, next door to Hungry trout restaurant and their bait shop, 10 miles to Lake Placid and ample fishing opportunities nearby. We got a family room which was like a 2 bedroom apartment with a balcony facing the mountains. Almost blackout curtains, the beds were comfortable. The motel surroundings were beautifully maintained, early morning walks around the property and the view of the mountains were amazing. You can do campfires and they have arranged multiple spots to do just that. Kids loved the play area and had fun with the owner's dogs which was their fav part of the stay.

However, the roo - The owner of the facility was extremely polite and friendly. He was a very kind and welcoming man. There were two resident dogs that lived there, too, that were absolutely beautiful and extremely well behaved. They were adorable! The location of this lodge was beautiful, directly looking out at White Face Mountain. My friend and I also enjoyed the upstairs balcony space and chairs. Everything had been freshly painted and they were very comfortable seats. Again, the view was outstanding. Overall, although the room was serviceable, and there were no problems, it was extremely outdated. It had everything you needed, but everything gave an old and dingy vibe to it. The bedspread cover was very faded and just looked poor. The carpets had some stains on them, and the cushioned chair had rips in it. The TV was perfectly serviceable, just quite small for how far it was away from the beds. The mismatched bathroom linens were also not a plus. I am not sure if it was advertised this way or not, but we did not receive any housekeeping services to make our beds, freshen the bathroom, empty the trash, and give new towels. Like I said, it was perfectly serviceable and quite a large room, but I just did not feel comfortable there. If the rooms had been brought up to current day decor standards with a modern feel, the building and location would’ve been perfect! However, with the exception of the balcony experience and the location, it did not give me a vacation vibe.

Towel bar in bathroom broken/missing. Bathroom door sticks a bit. Any negatives easily outweighed by the pluses! 😊

Not to mention the warm and welcoming owner, the spectacular view of Whiteface mountain (so close that I felt that I could reach out and touch it), the majestic music on arrival, and the oodles of personality in every inch of it.......the likes of which is so missing in the cookie-cutter lodgings that we are so accustomed to! The room had all the amenities, it was clean and super comfy. TV has free access to Netflix and Disney + No dryer in the bathroom.

- Townsend (8/5): Perfect location for skiing at Whiteface. - Great little place with a family atmosphere! Essentially a rustic little motel almost directly across from Whiteface. Nothing fancy, but a beautiful view and very friendly accommodating family run business. It’s dated, but we felt like it was part of the charm.

- Melody (10/5): - Our family stayed here on a ski trip to Whiteface. The hotel is across the street from the mountain and is a great base camp, especially when you’re skiing with kids and have a lot to prep/do to get ready! We were here during a very large snow storm and the driveway was plowed and accessible even with the constant snow dumping! Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice base camp away and will spending most of your time outdoors. Beautiful view of the mountain!

- KenBostonUSR (10/5): Great Stay at Ledge Rock - First let me state that Ledge Rock is a 2 star class hotel, so don’t expect a 4 star experience. That being said, the service IS 4-star. Rodger seemed to be there at any time day or night to help us out. Furthermore, the water is hot, the rooms are clean, and the beds are clean and extremely comfortable. And there is no closer place to stay at Whiteface; it’s right across the street!

- Salome (10/5): - We had an amazing three-night stay at Ledgerock Lodge. From the start, Mr. Rogger and his son made us feel right at home, like part of the family. The view from our balcony was incredible, looking out at the Whiteface Mountains and the beautiful fall colors. Evenings by the campfire were so relaxing, and Mr. Rogger joined us for a chat, which made the experience even better. Our kids had a blast, especially with the cozy outdoor setup and the grill where we cooked fresh groceries. It was such a thoughtful touch that really made our stay special. We’re definitely coming back for ski season!

- Loo (7/5): Good - Staff was accommodating; the view was amazing as it's facing Whiteface Mountain. the facilities need cleaning though; the rooms that we stayed were just ok, the linens are quite old. If you're picky, this lodge is not for you. It's not luxurious But for the price, the view was amazing!

- Hether (10/5): - This is a true gem!...it's not new or fancy...but it was clean and very spacious!!!...family owned and operated they were wonderful...it was comfortable and the bestest best was the absolutely stunning view of Whiteface right from my bed!....idded stay again!
- James (8/5): - Lovely little no frills motel. The room was clean, the staff, while minimal, was pleasant and helpful. Incredible view of the mountain. Quiet area, a bit of a drive to lake placid and restaurants (25ish mins or so). Very dated though. Most outlets didnt have grounding (two prongs), peeling paint and wallpaper, old and lumpy matress. It is an economical choice, though, and id stay again.

The Hungry Trout is about 5 minutes down the road with delicious food and another beautiful view. clean room, plenty of space it was a little outdated and had a musty smell but we just opened the windows and let the mountain air in.
- Alicia (3/5): Don’t let the photos fool you - Beds and pillows were surprisingly comfortable. Ample parking. Was very dirty and rundown. I left the property with lots of bug bites and itchiness the first night. Bedding was obviously soiled with human fluid, wallpaper peeling off the walls, towels had holes in them, and dead bugs littered throughout room and near windows.

- Shannon (9/5): Amazing pet-friendly spot - The location was perfect. We booked a one-bedroom suite and had our large dog with us (100lbs) and they were super accommodating to him. When we ran into an issue with the room they were there within 15 minutes and we had a solution immediately. I spoke with the owner and one of his sons during one of my many dog walks and I can't say how much this is just a family atmosphere. This is the place you come to unplug. The views from our balcony and the many tables and huts in the front with the view of Whiteface will help you do that. The bedding was amazing and so soft (turns out it was Ugg bedding!) and the shower unit in our room was redone recently. There wasn't so much I didn't like, but I'll use this space to set expectations. There are definitely parts of these rooms that are still in need of updating. That said, you won't regret your stay here for the location and the views. Typical Adirondack internet service can be sporadic at times, but this is not the hotels 's fault. Cell service was just fine as backup. Just something to note in case you think you'll be working remotely.
