Guest Reviews
- mayra (2/5): - On the website it claims your motel is close to the coliseum. That’s a lie. False advertisement is unacceptable. Do better
- Joshua (10/5): - 5 ST⭐RS
- Sanjay (6/5): - the rooms were renovated and clean, though the area this motel is in, is not nice to walk around,
- Carmen (8/5): - The bedsheets needed changing
They gave me a clean set for me to change them!
Everything else looked clean , I like the wooden floor in the Room ,Is more Hygienic,Outside environment a little sketchy But I felt safe in The Hotel
- Reginald (8/5): - I liked that the property was close eateries and stores to get good. It was along Vermont Street and easy to get on the bus line. I didn’t like how the staff thought I was gonna be there for one night and called me for check out. I had to correct them and they did apologize. You get what you pay for. Not the best looking inside as far as the room I was in but it was a place to rest my head and I was only there for a college football game.
- Dion (8/5): - Cheapest place in the area close to the LA Coliseum. Im sure half of the rooms were there for the concert. Smallish room which was ok , but the bathroom was nice and recently renovated. Bed was comfy , AC was a little loud. No ice machine on the property or coffee maker in the room. It was quiet as the rooms werent facing the road. Good place for the price but the sign said check out was 10 which is too early imo.
- Luis (4/5): - Bathroom floor was not clean, cockroaches on the bathroom floor and room floor. Bed mattress very hard and dirty .
- Jaxson (8/5): - I liked that soaps were provided and the overall pleasantness of the room, it was quiet and easily found. There was a slight delay in checking in with Expedia but all staff was friendly and helpful!
- Jose (10/5): - Affordable and worth its price.
- Isabel (8/5): - Staff were very nice and accommodating.
- Destiny (8/5): - This is a fine motel, I ended up sleeping in and they gave me a wake up call. However some of the other guests were extremally noisy and it was hard to fall asleep, but that's not the motels fault.
- Sir Anthony (6/5): Probably won’t stay again - The area around this hotel seemed a little trashy. The hotel itself seemed like it had been remodeled but the bed sheets were very dirty.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Easy check in, nice size parking lot, shower area was nice.
Ok, for a one night stay, average for motel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - There was a lot of homeless roaming around and room wasn’t cleaned daily. Not sure if the room not being cleaned was because of covid
- Cesar (8/5): - It was just great. Everything was very clean............................
- monty (8/5): - Hotel was nice and clean but the bed was rock hard.. they nt to get new mattresses
- Jacquelyn (10/5): - I like everything about the room the services ... All in all it was a comfortable stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): - There were used soap & other unpleasant items in shower.
- Theresa (10/5): - Although The motel is simple, The most important essentials For a traveler are Better than expected. The bed is firm and comfortable, the bathroom is very clean and updated with nice shower, the room is quiet. It’s easy to get to with free parking on site.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very helpfull, everything was clean, they really comunicative and adaptable with out late check in. Very happy with our stay
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bathroom light didn’t turn on told the manager she said the maintenance man would come fix it & never did
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Service was great. They allowed us to check in just a bit early to make our date.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was clean, comfortable, and relatively quiet. I have no complaints.
- Ruby (6/5): - Bathroom had a weird smell, during the entire trip
- Jahkenan (2/5): Will no longer come here. - Very prejudice people. They also charge you and tell you that you can’t park on the premises. Very rude and disrespectful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Was able to check in early which was awesome, property is in bad neighborhood, not enough parking ended up having to park overnight on the street, blanket had cigarette burns, just very shoddy, do what you want but I highly would recommend NOT choosing to stay here.
- Jillian (8/5): - It was a wonderful place to stay. It is very well kept and very clean. I have physical disabilities and I was thankful that they made sure my accommodations were meet with an accessible room. However, I wish there was more than only one. It can make it difficult to stay places when there is limited accessibility.
That being said the room was wonderful and just what we were looking for.
Could have used a couple more pillows and the bed was a bit hard, but for the price and how clean it was it was worth bringing our own pillows!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The surrounding outside the hotel is sketchy, but the hotel is well lit. The room is impressively clean and bathroom is decent. Service is ok. Toothpaste and hair conditioner should be provided.
- Enrique (8/5): - Godd friendly people and not to far from downtown. Clean. And. Private space good too..
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms were recently renovated, we asked for a microwave and we got one.
- Julio (10/5): - Very clean room, easy check in/out and very convenient parking inside the property. It just needs more parking spots.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This place was great had everything i needed a shower, TV, a place to sleep and change in the morning. even had a mini fridge where i could keep my drinks nice and cool.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I like that it was comfy and not to far from LACC!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Check in was okay. Information on CA recycling laws would help.
- Ashley (6/5): POOR PARKING - PLACE WAS GOOD FOR JUST A QUICK LAST MINUTE TRIP. PARKING HOWEVER IS A JOKE. AFTER GOING OUT TO EAT AND COMING BACK THERE WERE NO LONGER SPACES OPEN. WE HAD TO PARK ACROSS THE STREET IN A VERY BAD NEIGHBORHOOD. THIS PLACE DOES HAVE SPOTS IN THE BACK BUT THEY HAVE THEM CLOSED OFF. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO OPEN THEM UP WHEN THEY HAVE EVERY ROOM BOOKED TO MAKE IT MORE SAFE AND CONVENIENT FOR GUEST.
- Sanders (6/5): - This propert was really really nice I recommend it but the check in lady was so rudeeeee ... she is very unfriendly
- Sandra (8/5): - There was some disruptions when I arrived and arguments with some other people outside which made me wonder if i had made the right choice by reserving there. Overall, it was very clean, comfortable and felt safe in my bedroom. Nithing fancy really. Would stay again for one night or two. Not long term.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not bad. - Neighborhood is not the best but the hotel was not bad for the price. Didn’t have any troubles at all.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Wrong room type - We booked a non smoking room, but they gave us a smoking room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - What i like about the room was the cleaness in bathroom and sheet on bed.
- JEAN-LUC (2/5): Run away - I am not at all satisfied with this hotel.
the neighborhood is poor. the bed had no duvet, so we were very cold. My car was visited by thieves in the parking lot of the hotel without the staff intervening. I got my GPS stolen when I needed it badly. I reported to the manager, but he did not even listen to me, he made me understand that the flight did not happen in the parking lot, but elsewhere.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A Good, Quick Stay - Check in and check out were easy. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was that there was a helicopter circling at night, but that's not under their control. The neighborhood isn't the best, but the property itself was well taken care of.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - My boyfriend planned a trip to Cali for New Years weekend but didn't book a room. The hotels we normally stay at was booked. So I found this one. The hotel location is not in a safe neighborhood but I did feel safe on the hotel property. The room was clean and had a refrigerator but no microwave. The problem I had was they didn't clean our room but gave us fresh towels. I ask the staff(housekeeper) she said it's only her and sometimes her husband and they don't have enough time to clean all the rooms. Other than that everything else was good. Parking sucks but do not park on the street.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The owners were very nice! The rooms were clean, I slept well. I would stay here again, good location!!
- Joshua (8/5): Get what you pay for - The room was clean but dated without frills. The area isn't the greatest but we stayed on a Saturday night and it was quiet. It's close to the LA Memorial Colosseum and the price was right for a weekend. We weren't expecting much so we couldn't be dissapointed. Parking is scarce so get a space early or you'll have to park on the exterior of the hotel property. We had little interaction with the staff so I can't really comment other than they were professional. Not sure it's a 'go-to' for next time but I'd go back if I had to.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Is a queen bed not king is only two polow a wail for here t one for almost ten minutes for the really cold out side too many homeless out side is not safe and secure area
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Better than expected ! Staff was friendly, hard to get out from parking, besides reversing. Other than that, dont mind staying again
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I did not like the environment. It was a high traffic area with late night activity. It was not safe !
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a great average place to rest a couple of days nothing high end and at all but cool to crash in for a couple of days.
- Courtney (8/5): - Good stay. Nice clean spacious room. Breakfast, parking, WiFi
- David (4/5): Felt like a refugee - Complete lack of courtesy. They were very cold like my being there was an unwelcome burden. No towels in room. No apology. No thank you. No internet information. Place was mostly empty. Property itself was adequate. Dingy and minimal.
- Vels (8/5): - It was a great place to stay.
The room itself was a bit small, but clean and everyone was very friendly
- Philip (8/5): - Dodgy neighborhood, but the room was clean and the bed was comfy
- Carlos (10/5): Getting better and better - It's becoming my favorite place to stay on weekends.
- Carlos (10/5): You will love these rooms. - It was everything I expected and then more.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was clean and quiet, close to airport
Comfortable room
- Víctor (8/5): - The room was too small for the price, but iit was nice having a small fridge to keep cold water during this hot weather
- Suave (2/5): - Stinks ,bad service , no parking , to small, rude, annoying!!
- Igor (10/5): Great! - Good price, great staff, quiet place, clean, good location... Evething good! I recommend it!
- Amarra (2/5): Roach motel. Spend that extra $20-30 elsewhere. - I booked a room here at the last minute. I was with my 4 yr old son and we were trying to book an Amtrak trip but everything was sold out til the next day so we needed a hotel for the night and I guess for $75 a night, you truly get what you paid for. Staff was horrible. They wouldn’t help me take my baggage up to the 2nd floor and I wanted to be on the 1st floor because I had 2 heavy duffel bags. I almost tripped going upstairs as they watched. We get in the room and it’s so hot and muggy inside, the AC was weak, we didn’t have a microwave (not that I really needed one.) Bathroom was tight and there was nowhere to put a soap dish other than the back of the toilet. After I bathed my son, I took a shower myself and noticed a huge roach running up and down the shower curtain. Ewww. After that I immediately closed up all of our luggage because I refused to bring those critters with us. I slept with one light on just to be aware. I called about the “free WiFi” that’s advertised on Expedia and the front of their entrance and the guy told me they don’t have WiFi even though clearly they did because there was a locked connection with their name on it. The next morning we were forced to check out at 10 am even tho Expedia said 11 am. But I was glad to get outta there. That place is a dump in a trash neighborhood, literally. The only upside was that they did have a nice flat screen tv with directv and they had decent channels even though I only put on Nick Jr. for my son to watch.
- Andre (2/5): Look Elsewhere. - I booked a non-smoking room and upon entering my room, I noticed two ash trays. I contacted the office to arrange for a non-smoking room. Once I arrived at the office, the woman there seemed to be annoyed with me and even tossed my new room key to me rather than politely passing it. I entered the new room only to find once again two ash trays. I can only assume that they allow smoking in every room. These are no frills rooms by the way and the meager furnishings are old but, the room was clean. After using the shower, my room filled up with the foul smell of bad plumbing. It would dissipate eventually but returned with each use. I was awoken on the final morning of my stay at 6:00am by a woman screaming in the next room. The walls were thin enough for me to hear what sounded like a pimp beating a hooker as he was verbally berating her while striking her. I didn’t dare open my door as there was no peep hole or front window and who knows what could have happened. The surrounding area is horrible and I will never stay here again.
- William (6/5): Basic motel for a few nights for 1 or 2 travelers - For the type of motel it was well cared for, with clean sheets and bathroom. The room was very small with little storage space, but did have a convenient refrigerator with microwave. The room was quiet, and the air conditioning worked fine. The off-street parking area is best for mid-size or compact cars, and appears relatively safe.
- Cynthia (2/5): - I was there maybe 30 min and manager came and asked me to leave she said she refunded my money I don’t see it! What do I need to do? I came checked in but they checked me out more like they cxl my reservation. I had a friend come and drop off paperwork for a business meeting and they assumed I was doing prostitution!!! She was rude loud and told me to leave
- Verified traveler (6/5): - They do not clean your room unless you request it, that information was not relayed to us until our last day in which they didn't offer to even give us a complimentary clean room. We also had to request for new clean towels every day
- Verified traveler (4/5): Dirty, small, and flat sided bed. - Bed was dirty with pubic hair and mattress was flat on one side, asked for a different room, they only bring us bedsheets to cover over the dirty sheets..very old and small room. Not worth staying
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Discriminatory. Wouldn’t provide essentials cleaning crew rude as well
- Brian (6/5): Good and bad - Its a good place for the area and my car seems a little more secure because of how the parking is set up. The rooms are clean although they need some updating. Don't expect nice friendly service. Also they will kick you out at 1030 even though hotels.com lists 11am as there checkout time. Also don't pay for the deluxe or upgraded room because its the same as the normal room. Im not saying it looks the same I'm saying it is the same room. I stayed about 6 times here and 4 of the 6 times i was in room 106, but 1 time i paid the extra few dollars for deluxe room 106. Lol the same. Its worth staying but if you wanna sleep in forget it. And forget late check out unless you wanna pay.
- V.L. (4/5): Eh. - This hotel is located in the hood. Be careful where you walk around! Hotel staff was RUDE. No personalities. The room was nice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok place - Staff was nice. It was just an average room. 2 problems i had were the towel had fresh lipstick on it and there was shampoo wrapper in the shower.
- elisa (2/5): Smell bad and bathroom súper duty with mod - Never rent hotel like that and bwlueveb what the Expedia show on the hotel page
- Verified traveler (2/5): Scary neighborhood - Very scary neighborhood, sketchy people outside the door, no one answered when I tried to call to confirm the location. I tried to call to cancel my reservation and no one answered then either. I did not check in and yet I got an email saying I did.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Bedding is clean. - The restroom was a little dirty. the sheets were clean as well as the towels.
- Edward (10/5): Recomend it - Stay there all the time best one in the area
- Verified traveler (6/5): A quiet getaway - The esthetic of the motel is nice. Very clean property. Well light. The staff were very short with me but the room gave me what I needed. The furniture could be better and the decor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A GEM!!!! STAY HERE!!! - My boyfriend and I are in the middle of trying to find a place, so we started out staying here a few nights out of the week. Now we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else! Very securely ran, very clean, lovely people!!! The woman at the counter is a saint :)
- Lisa (6/5): - Okay to stay overnight. The front entrance Is the same way as exit very narrow driveway. I wouldn't stay there again, you get what you pay for
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible Customer Service - Bad customer service
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hole in the wall - I just wish the beds were a little softer...but everything else was great!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): I was pleased with the hotel. - The travel inn was a nice quiet little hotel, the staff was nice and polite, the hotel room was clean and comfortable for the night, I was very pleased with the price of the room, the fact that it was clean, and overall stay I had there.
- Bob (10/5): Nice place! - I found it to be a very nice place, clean, fairly priced, with pleasant people. It was especially nice that they both called and emailed me about some precious things I left behind.
- Maria (8/5): Hidden Gem - If you're looking for a cheap place to stay that is comfortable, clean, and welcoming! It is a bit noisy due to it being located right on a main drag and some neighbors across the alley who play loud music. The area isn't the greatest to take a stroll around, but if you need a place to sleep and that's it, this is your motel. I definitely recommend it for the budget conscious! It is worth every penny.
- Brandon (10/5): - They have nice friendly staff. Also Travel Inn has a lot of movie channels and fast Wi-Fi.
Definitely would book again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall good - Good experience love that they had cable channels for kids and a bigger size mini fridge perfect for kids snacks
- Renee (10/5): Nice and clean. Great tv, fridge and microwave. - I grew up in Los Angeles. I knew the area is "up and coming". The owners did a great job renovating and the area is actually very quiet.
- Abraham (8/5): Nice hotel - Fast check in
- Marie (10/5): Clean and quiet - This motel was a good find. My boyfriend and I come out to LA for events about once a month and we have stayed at a number of different hotel/motels around LA. This is one place I was happy to have found. It's a small complex with free parking on site. We got there right at check-in so there was plenty of parking. Our room was a premium room and it was nice and smelled clean. All the furnishings looked fairly new, and bed was comfortable. The bathroom and sink areas were also new looking. There was a flat screen tv, fridge and microwave. The only suggestion I have is to put a full length mirror some where in the room. The only mirror in the room was above the sink and I was too short to be able to see my outfit. I had read a few of the other reviews before booking this motel and the main complaint I saw was the friendliness of the staff so I was curious to see how that interaction would be. I dealt mainly with the woman and she was nice enough; not very personable at first but not at all rude. And when we left, the man and woman were outside and they both thanked us and waved goodbye. You do have to take into some consideration the location of the motel. Its in a pretty rough area and I definitely would not suggest walking anywhere around that area, day or night. On the plus side, I didn't notice any suspicious or sketchy people hanging around, which is something we usually see when we've book cheaper rooms at other places. We will definitely stay here again.
- Aaliyah (2/5): This hotel scammed me - I have never written a negative review in my life.
This hotel stole my money. I booked a reservation on Expedia.com, and upon my arrival (around 2 a.m.) a woman told me that there are no rooms available. I explained that I booked a reservation online, and she did not even want to listen to me. I later found out that I was charged for the room and the hotel recorded me as a no-show. Upon calling the hotel the manager was very rude, and would not let me speak. He claimed that I was lying. When I told him to check his security cameras so that he can see I was at his front desk, he refused and hung up on me. The owners of this hotel are obviously very cruel.
- Steve (8/5): Great value motel in the middle of LA - Good LA motel for convenience and economy. Small room, no frills, limited parking, sketchy neighborhood, but clean and safe on the grounds. Staff was friendly and supportive. Please remember, you get what you are paying for and if you need a cheap place to stay in LA, this might be it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Compact room - Room is so compact, no place to move around in the room. Only one queen size bed and that took the whole room. On the positive note, there was a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was the highlight in the room- newly renovated and equipped for disabled people.
- Darren (8/5): Pleasant enough stay - Very clean motel - nice tv screen and good toiletries.
Area not so great but at the price that was to be expected, aeroplanes a little bit noisy.
- Amy (10/5): We'll be back! - Clean, comfortable and close to the LA Coliseum. We will definitely stay there again.
- Adrian (8/5): A good sleep gor sure, considering the area. - Was a very comfortable stay. Very clean except for the stained sheets. Was to tired to complain.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good place for a quick stay - You could tell how clean the room was as soon as you walked in. The location isn't the best, but i actually felt really safe for being alone. The hotel is operated by a family, and they were very attentive and you could see the family throughout the day. The male owner also came up to me at the end and thanked me for staying there which i thought was nice
- Emil (8/5): Hard to find... - Conveniently locate, small size rooms, partial amenities, but well lighted parking lot for added security.
- yanina (10/5): Very clean - This was a cozy and clean place! Room was spotless, owners on premesis always inquired about comfort.
- Twanna (10/5): Sleep girl - Very clean and restful!
- Kevin (10/5): Nice & Comfortable Stay! - We arrived to the hotel late in the evening and the manager was extremely nice when checking us in. He even let us switch from smoking to non-smoking. The room was clean, comfortable, and was quiet. The hotel was perfect for a short stay and for people who aren't too high maintenance.
- Marla L. (10/5): Hidden Gem in L.A. - I was passing through and needed a budget motel to simply sleep. I've been to several large budget chains on my travels, and haven't been overly impressed.
This motel was a pleasant surprise. The rooms are clean, quiet, and updated. It IS a no frills establishment, but they have the newest in electronic locks, flat screen tvs, comfortable beds, a huge and powerful air conditioner, and a great shower with plenty of hot water.
The family that runs the place are lovely people and they bent over backwards to make sure I was comfortable. I really can't find anything to complain about. :)
- mark (10/5): Little Gem - the owner was great, very nice people and accomadating the property was clean and fresh. Great place for the money..uber 10 min from downtown
- Luis (8/5): Discriminattion Guarantee !! - When i first arrived i was greated by the manager who was very difficult to understand his english and to add to this he began to wave his hand refusing to even see my reservation. He said he was booked . I gladly walked away . I though possibly i has arrived to a different address so i called the motel number and made the observation of him picking up the phone as i was calling . I told him i.had a reservation and he asked 4 my name and once he confirmed i told him i had been rejected , so he said 2 come back to the window . Honestly i had been at another hotel with also rude customers service and the property was top 10 of the worst in the hollywood area and i was tired and ready to rest . I checked inn and they tell me to return 20 minutes latet while a room who had just cleared out was to be clean and then made available . The worst part of thid ordeal was when.i was asked for the proper I.D for bothmyself and 2nd guest i handed him both current gov i.ds and he acvepted my CA drivers lisence amd he rejected and rudely tossed the other back telling me it was no good .
Aggrevated i told him are you an idiot . That is a Military/ VET goverment I.D and your rejecting it . He reviewed it and said nothing about that but exacted his rules that where that worthy of a prison .
Stay Away from places who discriminate for the simple cultural or geographic observation that does not agree with them . Ignorant and makes hotel alike worthy of being held with discrimination.
