Guest Reviews
- Phylicia (10/5): - Loved staying here, Yoshiko was so lovely, she went above and beyond to make us comfortable. She gave us fruits and snacks everyday, and even drove us to the train station at the end of our stay. We will definitely stay again when we come back to Nikko!
- Marta (10/5): One of the best places I've ever been at - If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat. The house has all commodities (the hosts even offered to help us with the laundry since the washing machine was out of order), all rooms are spotless clean and the surroundings are incredible, albeit a bit far from Nikko station.
The host was incredibly kind, making sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. I really cannot recommend this place enough, and when I visit Nikko again, I will not even bother searching for a different stay.
- まり (10/5): - 小中学生連れの5人家族で利用しました。
くつろぎやすい空間で、全員大満足でした。
朝食のパンが美味しかったです。
- Rafael (10/5): - Had an amazing time in Nikko and the Cottage had everything we could possibly need. The host, Yoshiko was absolutely devine and incredibly helpful. We were at odds how to get to our next destination and she planned the complete route for us and even assisted us when we were buying our tickets to make sure we got to where we needed to be. I wish we had stayed a few extra days, that’s how at home we felt! 100/10 recommend.
- Scott (10/5): - This traditional Japanese cottage was our favorite place to stay in Japan. All of the other places were hotels, and they were nice, but not like the FU-SHA cottage. The owners were deeply interested in making our stay wonderful. They went as far as to pick us up from the train station, (and drop us off at the end of our stay,) so we didn't have to take a bus to the cottage. The cottage was exactly as it was advertised. Very much like one would expect to live in a small Japanese town, with Tatami mats, futon mattresses to sleep on, a traditional Japanese bathroom and bath.
This is not a place for glamorous living, but rather, it gives you the genuine feeling of living in a traditional way that the Japanese live. It was comfortable, quaint, charming, clean, and quiet. The owners had delicious snacks, bread, fresh fruit, and others things to eat and drink for us. They set up our beds at night, and were available anytime we needed them. The location of the cottage was very convenient to the shrines and temples in Nikko, as well as a variety of restaurants, shopping, and other points of interest. (Don't miss Kanmangafuchi Abyss. It was spectacular, and only about 5 minutes walk from the cottage.)
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Lovely hostess very helpful and kind. Located near the Nikko Abyss a must see. A little off the beaten path in a very neighborhood. A traditional property with tatami mats and a great deep bathtub. Highly recommended. Mahalo for your kindness and care.
Also not to be missed Nikko Coffee best Royal White tea ever.
- carter (10/5): - Amazing Host
- Yonatan (10/5): amazing stay in Nikko at the river - the host was amazing and friendly. it is such a traditional and equipped house.
Highly recommended
- Geoffrey (10/5): - The host made this stay perfect. Attended to every need even offered to drop us off at train station. Place is very clean and perfect for a family stay. Highly recomend it.
- Nathan (10/5): - The host Yoshiko was very friendly and generous, and the cottage was lovely!
- Kevin (10/5): - Amazing place. Highly recommend
- Roberto (10/5): - Great location for sightseeing. The owner is really nice, she was very helpful and brought us a great breakfast. Thanks!
- Maxine (10/5): - Nikko Cottage FU-SHA is a delightful retro authentic Japanese accommodation experience. The very kind, helpful & friendly host picked us up from the train & dropped us back on our departure day. We found the cottage to be in a beautiful location in a residential area, with comfortable traditional Japanese beds, a room for our luggage, fully outfitted kitchen with breakfast foods provided. The bathroom was very large and well equipped. We walked to lovely local eating options of restaurants & cafes and walked to the World Heritage shrines and temples of Nikko, which together with their natural surroundings was an amazing experience. We loved our 2 nights in Nikko, which was not long enough, and will definitely return & would love to stay at the cottage again.
- Marika (10/5): - Warm and cozy in winter. Easy access to beautiful Onsens, temples, shrines, hiking and Edp Wonderland. The owner was so welcoming and helpful.
- Maria (10/5): - Every detail was thought out, thanks!
- Abhik (10/5): - The nicest host and the best stay!
- Susan (10/5): - Staying at Nikko Cottage Fu-Sha was a highlight of our trip to Japan. Yoshiko-san treated us as family members coming home for a visit. She picked us up from the train station, spent the evening chatting in Japanese with my teenager, helped us figure out our transportation to Kyoto, and met us at Nikko station with our luggage when it was time for us to depart.
- Robert (10/5): - Host is amazing , she picked us up and drove us out for dinner. Also brought our bags to the train station when we left.
- Nathan (10/5): - The host (Yoshiko) is such a sweet woman. She picked up our luggage at the train station and took them to the house as we toured around Nikko. She then did the same (took our luggage to the station) the day we left.
She is very welcoming, kind and funny. We had a great conversation with her when we checked in.
Her house/hotel is great - a nice traditional Japanese home, which was good to see after staying at a Western hotel in Tokyo.
There is a beautiful, tranquil attraction just about 10 minutes walk straight out of the house towards the west (Kanmangafuchi Abyss - you gotta see this place).
Highly recommend staying at Nikko Cottage FU-SHA!
Thank you, Yoshiko!
- Larissa (10/5): - It was awesome 😀
- Shane (10/5): - If you want a local traditional experience, this stay does not disappoint. The house has everything you need and is located on a very quiet street away from the main roads. Only a 2 minute stroll to the river for som nature. As a bonus, the host will greet you at the train station and provide a ride or ferry your luggage back to the house while you venture off to the shrines. The host will also shuttle you back to the station when you depart. Special note: there aren’t many restaurants near to the house for evening dinner. So if you plan to walk the 20 minutes from the shrines to the house you will have the option of buying some groceries at the convenience store or check out the Suien Chineses restaurant a short distance from the house. The food and service was fantastic!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful service!
We had a great stay.
- Wladimir (10/5): Great place with a great owner - The cottage is a great place to spend a few days in the beautiful city of Nikko. In addition, the owner is very friendly and offers to pick you up and drive you to the station. In addition, the owner shows you how to plan your stay in Nikko. If you have the chance, you should stay here! 10/10 is not enough!
- Bethany (10/5): - We absolutely loved staying at the cottage! Yoshiko is an incredible host, going above and beyond in every way to make sure you have a comfortable stay. She picked us up from the train station and dropped us off, and spent time explaining the history, culture, and sights to see in Nikko. The cottage is in the perfect location, quiet, near the Daiya river, and walkable to many shrines and cultural sites. It's also walkable to many delicious local restaurants! We would definitely stay here again, we have a friend in Nikko. Highly recommend!!
- Karen (10/5): Great place to stay! - Cute and cozy cottage with the most kind and amazing owner! Like others said, the owner picked us up from the train station and took us back when it was time to leave. It was also in a great location. I would definitely stay here again!
- Gary (10/5): - This was a wonderful place to stay with a welcoming and caring host who made it a perfect trip for my family and I.
- Buck (10/5): - Authentic Japanese cottage located near the major attractions.Very friendly and welcoming lady who owes the property.
The host was very kind and gave us various suggestions for dinner and advice on our plans. The house looks like an old house, but the interior is clean, the bathroom is spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and the wifi, which was recently updated, is very fast and comfortable. Breakfast was served with bread and fruit purchased by the hosts, which we appreciated. I would recommend this place as it is within walking distance of Nikko Toshogu Shrine and the bus stop in the neighborhood.
- Jaroslaw (10/5): - Very well maintained and comfortable traditional home. Comfortable futon beds, large bathroom and kitchen. Perfect location to walk to the temples. Excellent host Yoshiko. She drove us from and to train station, did our laundry and brought us good food for breakfast. Absolute gem.
- Virgil (10/5): - Great location, in a quiet part of the neighborhood and was able to walk to the sights and convenience store. The host was so helpful and communicative, she dropped me off at the train station and helped me with tickets! Highly recommended, I would stay here if I returned again :)
- Cathe (10/5): - Just lovely
- Roger (10/5): - Yoshiko was extremely helpful in so many ways. We were very happy with the accommodations and would recommend it. Great location.
- Diana (10/5): - The owner is very kind and speak fluent English. She responded to my emails right away. The bed is comfortable. It is a peaceful place and we enjoyed our stay!
- Lori (10/5): - Yoshiko, the owner picked us up form the station on arrival and dropped us off at the station on departure. She is friendly and helpful with ideas for navigating the city and the park. A yummy continental breakfast was included.
- John (10/5): Wonderful home & host - An amazing and comfortable stay in a beautiful location. Thank you so much to our host who went above and beyond to provide our family with everything we needed and more, including lifts to and from the station, fresh fruit & bread for breakfast, helped us with our laundry and more. We will cherish our memories staying in your lovely traditional home in Nikko. Thank you!
- Anna (10/5): - A perfect stay. Lovely traditional home in a quiet location near the river. Yoshiko is a delightful host - she picked us up and dropped us off at the train station, and provided us fresh bread, yoghurt, juice and fruit. Cottage is right near the start of a lovely walk along Ganman ga Fuchi Abyss past the Jizou statues. 15 minute walk to the Toshogu Shrine. Highly recommend this place!
- Christopher (10/5): Amazing host, an authentic and memorable stay - We had such a phenomenal stay at Fu-Sha Cottage. The owner Yoshiko is the real magic of this place; she went truly above and beyond and made our stay one of the best we had in Japan. She was communicative, helpful, and fun to be around. Her English wasn't perfect, but she really put in an earnest effort and we were able to communicate without too much of a problem. Yoshiko was even kind enough to pick us up from the train station and drive us a round to a few of the sights. She made a fantastic recommendation to a local restaurant one night, which we likely would have missed if we were traveling on our own. Her warmth and hospitality really made this stay special for us.
The property itself is small but well appointed. It's in the traditional ryokan style and located in a quiet neighbourhood by the end of town. We walked into town and to the nearby temples without issue. I estimate it was about a 15 minute or so easy walk. Every morning Yoshiko had a nice little breakfast prepared for us including fresh bread, strawberries, yogurt, and teas. There was a washing machine there too, which we found helpful being on the road. We found the pillows quite hard at Fu-Sha (traditional pillows?), but it otherwise it was a lovely stay and one we will cherish.
We would highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a more authentic, local experience in Nikko. Thank you Yoshiko for your hospitality.
- Rafael (10/5): - Our stay was perfect, we really enjoyed the place, very clean, very organized, lots of foods / snacks provided by the owners. They think about everything, we have two small kids and they provided one kid bath towel for my son (blue) and one for our daughter (pink)!
The owner also took us to Toshogu Shrine and picked up us to get back to the house, very polite and very kind!!!!
- Peter (10/5): - It was so nice to stay in a neat little Japanese house and the pickup/dropoff from the train station by the host was very welcome. The house is in a great spot and easy walk to the main bus that takes you around all the Nikko sights to see. Its also an easy walk from some of the best temples. Loved it.
- Raul (10/5): Best location and best host - This little place is great for exploring the nature side of Nikko as well as it’s shrines and historial spots!
The house was warm, clean and it had a great variety for breakfast!
We slept comfortably after a full day of activities. Convenient to the bus and other must-sees in Nikko!
The host is more than gracious. She help us out in a time of need. She’s warm and very friendly. We were very grateful for her help.
Don’t hesitate to stay at this place if your looking for a place to stay in Nikko!
- Jan (10/5): - FU-SHA is an older Japanese-style cottage. Location across street from owner’s home, and minutes walk to amazing river & Kanmanga-fushi Abyss. Serene, beautiful, sacred area. 15 min walk into Nikko town, shrines, famous bridge, and 20 minute walk to both bus/train stations. Cottage is simple, warm, & comfy for those able to sleep futon-style. Bathroom, spacious and efficient. Small kitchenette: refrig, micro, teapot, toaster, dishes and utensils, clothes washer/dryer; no oven or cooktop. Functional for our group of three. Sleeping spaces: one Japanese tatami room w sliding partitions, one raised dining area w futon for sleeping, one outer tatami room for luggage. Host provided small extra table and western-style chairs for our stay. Also provided additional futon layer to soften the matt for one who needed more pad. Nikko is a great area to stay and explore. We would return, allowing extra days to go further.
The true and special gift of this lodging is the hostess, Yoshiko. We literally spent hours with her, delighting in her company, sharing stories and heart. She is a tremendous host, and a special human. She provided transportation for us many times, helped us navigate restaurants and train tickets, fed us generously, laughed with us, sharing her dear heart, and generously looking after all of our needs, and more. FU-SHA cottage is not just lodging; it is a full heartful experience.
Thank you Yoshiko. You are a treasure.
- Aviana (10/5): Amazing Cottage in Nikko - The place was really amazing and extremely comfortable. The owner was also very kind and welcoming. I would reccommend this place to anyone who is ever wanting to visit Nikko. I know I will definitely request again when staying in Nikko.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owner was extremely kind and helpful. When we checked in, she provided a wealth of information and recommendations about the local area. The cottage was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was quite spacious which was nice after hiking all day. I would definitely stay again when I am in the area.
- Philip (8/5): - Nice stay. Had a wonderful and unique experience in a genuine old style Japanese house.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really appreciated Yoshiko picking us up and dropping us to the train .
The location of this property is excellent ... walking distance to so many sites , but in a quiet area ...
highly recommend
- Tasha (10/5): - Yoshiko was great. She was very accommodating and picked us up and dropped us off from the station. She also was full of great recommendations. She even knew times of buses/trains off by heart! Would recommend. Also massive bathroom for Japanese standards.
- Jane (10/5): - Our host was very accommodating and friendly.
She picked us up from and took us to the train station. She gave us a map of Nikko and made suggestions. She provided a gluten free and dairy free breakfast.
She went out of her way to make our stay excellent.
- Gail (10/5): Wonderful Stay at Nikko Cottage - Nikko Cottage FU-SHA was immaculate, comfortable, and the perfect location for visiting Nikko National Park with its magnificent World Heritage Site temples and shrines. Only a 10 minute walk there, a 5 - 20 minute walk to shops and restaurants on the main road, depending on where you want to go. But the best was the kindness and graciousness of the host, Yoshiko, who picked us up at the train, gave us wonderful advice, and offered to drive us to restaurants. Highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Traditional style accommodation, a little hard to get comfortable on the bedding, but it was the experience we were after. In a terrific location, walking distance to many places. Our hostess was lovely, very helpful, and a great weather predictor.
- Jack (10/5): Highly recommend staying here, convenient spot - Large cottage home, walking distance to bus stop and shrine. The shower and bathroom is huge even by US standard. The beds are firm and japanese style, very comfortable. The host, Yoshida, is extremely friendly and helped us with some of our travel planning in the area. About a 15mins walk to the tourist red bridge; use the bus route (#9 bus stop) to get from the train station to the cottage.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The lady looked after us really well even provided directions to places we wanted to go and maps. The property was very clean and the location was lovely.
- John G (10/5): Magical Visit To Tosho-gu Shrine Complex - FU-SHA is a delightful cottage that is fully equipped. You sleep on comfortable futons. Our hostess, Yoshiko, is a gem. She picked us up at the train station, and gave us a ride back at the end of our stay. She provided us with a tasty continental breakfast, but also drove us to the grocery store, and helped us select food for other meals. The bus stop and shrine are only a few minutes walk away, but she gave us rides. She gave us excellent advice on what to do during our stay. She even washed our clothes. Yoshiko is a lovely person whose company we greatly enjoyed and appreciated. It was hard to say goodbye to her.
- Virginia (10/5): - There is a great walking path not too far away and it is an easy walk to town. There are bicycles that can be rented nearby or a two day bus pass that will take you all over Nikko. Our hostess was very gracious and helpful.
- les (10/5): - it was a lovely cottage in an amazing location. You could walk to an amazing gorge (called the abyas.
just up the road. and it was in walking distance to shines and temples.
The owner both met us at the station and gave us a lift back to the station which was great after a long journey. She also offered to take us to the supermarket. she was really kind and helpful.
The scenery was terrific and it was a beautiful tranquil setting. We really enjoyed our stay .
- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly recommended - Clean, convenient and comfortable. Traditional Japanese cottage with very warm welcoming owner.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The cottage is a fantastic place to stay in Nikko. Yoshiko is incredibly kind and helpful in all aspects. She met us at the beginning and end of our stay at the station to help with our bags. She also supplied a lovely breakfast each day.
- Graeme (10/5): Home from home. - A true Japanese home from home. This obviously was some ones home prior to being a let, very original & genuine. The landlady was very kind and helpful, making up my Fulton on the raised dining area because I would have had difficulty getting down to floor level due to a disability.
Spotlessly clean and tidy.
A few traditional rule such as removing shoes at the door, but you have to accept Japanese traditions if you want to stay in a Japanese home.
My travelling companion soon got into being like a native, drinking his green tea whilst sitting the Japanese way.
Difficult to find especially when the Sat Nav in our hire car reported "no data" when asked for directions! To find the property, travel along the road with the river on you left, at the end of the road, cross the flat steel bridge, turning right at the end of the bridge and the property is aprox. 100m on the left. Look for the blue house number 8-20 and you have found it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our host went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible
- Ioana (10/5): - Our stay was perfect. The house was in great condition, very good shower and bath, everything sparkling clean, and the futons very comfortable ( my first time ever sleeping on futons, and it was very good). I loved the feeling of the Japanese rustic house. Lots of quiet and privacy. Our host most gracious I ever encounter. Will definitely stay there again and reccomend it to all my friends.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lady host was a little slow to respond to my messages initially. However, she proofed to be fantastic.and made a whole world of difference to my trip in Nikko. She met my family at train station to collect our luggage and advised us on our itinerary and gave us map. She picked us back to Nikko cottage after our sightseeing in the evening. As our time in Nikko was tight, in order for us to enjoy the tour of the Unesco heritage shrines, she sent to the shrine the next day, and sent our luggage at a later time to the bus stop from which we took the free shuttle to Edomura Wonderland. She had made our trip so smooth without a hitch with all her personal touches. She communicated pretty well in her English and provided lots of bread and fruits for breakfast. The room was clean and big enough for my family of 5. My children enjoyed the Ryokan! You will not be disappointed if you book Nikko Cottage! Thank you Lady Host!!!
- Pavel (10/5): Perfect accomodation - Perfect accommodation with very friendly hosts. Really enjoyed every day of our stay and this is a good way to experience of staying in japan house,
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I stayed for 3 days. The cottage is spotlessly clean, well furnished, and private. The neighborhood is residential and quiet. It's a pleasant 20 minute walk to the town center (and less than 10 minutes to a bus stop).
Yoshiko is a great host - friendly, helpful, accommodating, and knowledgeable. She responds quickly to messages. As someone who speaks no Japanese, I appreciated her excellent English. And, as other reviewers have noted, she is very willing to pick up/drop off you at the train station when she is able.
- Raymond (10/5): - Yoshiko-San is one of the best host anybody can hope for. Sheis very helpful with any issue and very kind. The property itself is clean and all of the main sites are within walking distance. For sites further away, the buses are easy to catch. The next time we visit Nikko we will stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Kobayashi-san made sure we had a comfortable stay at Nikko cottage FU-SHA. The cottage is a ten minute walk from the bus stop 8, in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The house, especially the bathroom, was really spacious and nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the cottage to anyone visiting Nikko.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful hospitality - Made to felel as a welcome guest at a friends house!
- Paul (10/5): Best deal in Nikko! - This was a great find and a great value. So much better than a hotel room as you have much more room and your own kitchen. It was also within walking distance of all the major shrines, unlike most of the hotels. Our hostess Yoshiko was a caring and absolutely wonderful person in every way. She picked us up at the train station and returned us there when our stay was over and also provided breakfast for us each day.
- Sean (10/5): - My experience here was beyond perfect. It’s located so close to town and there is so much to do and see near by. The cottage is located at the base of a beautiful mountain. I was greeted with warmth and the place was very clean. You get so much for such a great price. I would 100% recommend this place and I will certainly stay again. :)
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cute little cottage in Nikko, Japan - Mrs. Kobayashi was very helpful in information about the area ,and transportation from and to the train station.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Warm, comfortable, great location! - From the moment we were met at the train station, through being shown around the cottage, given information about local sights, to being dropped back at the station at the end of our stay, the hospitality was excellent.
We were made to feel very welcome and there were several nice touches which made our stay all the more comfortable, including some fresh fruit for breakfast and a tube of toothpaste when ours ran out!
The cottage itself is a few minutes walk from the shrine complex and is an ideal location for a stay in Nikko. Highly recommended, would definitely stay here again.
- Juliana (10/5): Great hospitality and location - Walking distance to the temples and stores, nice Japanese style cottage (hard to find a place for your luggage), extraordinary service - we were pick up and drop at the station, also leave fruits and bread for us in the cottage and turn on the heating before we arrived.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great! - Yoshiko was very helpful, met us at the train station, helped with planning what to, nice experience
- Janet (10/5): Our Stay in Nikko - Nikko Cottage Fu-Sha was a great place to stay. Our host picked us up from the bus and dropped us off at the train station. It was close to the local bus stop -Nishi Sando (walking distance 5 minutes) where you could catch the bus to Lake Chezenji / Yamoto / Nikko & the train stations. There were shops at the bus stop. It was also easy walking distance to local Temples and walking tracks including Kanmangafuchi which was just down the road. Lake Chezenji and Yamoto could easily be done as day trips.
Our host was lovely, and would catch up with us each evening to see what we got up to during the day, and to ensure all was fine.
I would recommend Fu-Sha Cottage to others, and would stay again if we ever go back to Nikko.
- Lynne (10/5): stay in a typical Japanese Cottage - We stayed for two nights and our host was very nice and helpful. She could not do enough for us especially since it has snowed and was very cold. She got all the heaters going in the cottage and offered to drive us if we wanted to town and pick us up later. She even laid on breakfast. The cottage was about 20 min walk from town but close to the temples. A bus stop was near by where we caught the bus to the lake. Would recommend this if you preferred a change to hotels.
- julie (10/5): cozy and comfortable - My husband, daughter and I stayed at Nikko Cottage FU-SHA for 3 nights in December 2016. It was our home away from home and was wonderful. Nights were very cold; however, we had portable heaters and the futon beds kept us warm and cozy. Continental breakfast was included in our stay and was more than sufficient; fresh fruits were absolutely delicious. Our home base was easily walkable and accessible to various sites and bus stops. Nikko is a peaceful and beautiful place to visit. Our host was so kind and helpful. She picked us up from Tobu Nikko Station and drove us back to the station on our last day to catch the train to Tokyo.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly, helpful host - The cottage was perfect for our needs, well located for temples and convenience stores, a 20 minute walk to restaurants.
Double layered futons and lots of heaters made for a comfortable nights sleep.
The host was simply lovely - incredibly helpful.
This wouldn't be for everyone, if you want 5* luxury and sterile western style apartments then you should look elsewhere....but we loved it and would stay again if we ever get the opportunity.
- Aspen (8/5): Experience Japanese life! - This is a great way to get an idea of life as a japanese person. The cottage is small, but bigger than a hotel room certainly. Worked great for our family of 3. Futons were double thick and most comfy we experienced. Bathroom was clean and big, japanese style bath. Washing machine worked well. We didn't cook, but kitchen seemed quite limited - more of a kitchenette.
Yoshiko was an outstanding host. It really was like she was hosting us, although we totally had our own space and she by no means crowded us. The cottage is a bit outside of town, so she gave us rides in her car whenever she was available. We did have one long, cold walk in the rain to find dinner, as taxis are not available there. She even discovered the pastries we liked and provided those the next day. She bent over backwards to be as helpful as possible!
If you go, don't miss the walk past the cottage to the buddha statues along the river - maybe not worth a special trip, but not be be missed if you're already there.
- dwky (10/5): Quiet, cozy, and comfortable - Akio and Yoshiko were awesome - looked after us during our entire stay. Location was great - minutes walking from everything you need. Futons were comfortable and warm. Our entire stay was excellent!
- Charles (10/5): Wonderful cottage near the river - A wonderful cottage on a quiet street quite near to the main temples. It was spacious and felt very Japanese. The owner is a lovely woman who offered to pick us up at the train station. She took the time to explain all of the local sights and restaurant options, and was extremely helpful throughout the stay. This was one of the favorite places our family of four (two adults and two teens) stayed during our three weeks in Japan.
- max and cris (10/5): Wonderful and authentic experience! - This is, by far, one of the best places we have ever stayed in- if you are looking for a beautiful and traditional home near beautiful sites, this is the place for you. To top it all, Akio and Yoshiko were wonderful hosts who made sure we had everything we needed, suggested wonderful restaurants, and offered to take us places whenever possible. All major sites are within walking distance from the home. Truly a great place.
