- Dilip (8/5): Old school but clean with friendly staff - Old school sense of service, staff friendly and helpful. Limited English but that's pretty normal for Japan. Hotel isn't new but everything works as it should and is well maintained and very clean. Also it's on a quiet street but not far from the station. There's a complimentary free coffee machine dispensing freshly ground coffee on the ground floor. Lifesaver! Be sure to book a non-smoking floor unless you are a smoker. Unfortunately Japan still has a lot of cigarette smokers and hotels accommodate smokers on specific floors. Not sure how but cigarette smoke from another floor kept entering my room intermittently (- unfortunately I'm super sensitive to this). Staff immediately changed my room and all was OK.

- Pooi (7/5): Slightly old property but decent option - Staff is helpful and friendly! Daily housekeeping is a default. Room is well stocked and clean.. they even provided some bath powder to create your own 'onsen' experience in the bathtub. About 15 min walk to the station and attractions like the morning market. The bed was really creaky and sunken in. Not comfortable for sleeping.. also there is no aircon provided so we had to open the window slightly so it would be less stuffy. Note that there are steps at the property entrances and at ground floor before you reach the lift... For those carrying bulky luggage.

- Mimi Ho (6/5): 經濟住宿 - 酒店離車站不算遠，約要行上10分鐘左右。酒店為一楝5、6層高建築物，外形比較簡單不像酒店，較似賓館，由於客房是和式榻榻米，尚算寬敞舒適，環境亦算乾淨衛生，只可惜我住的房間竟然沒有門鎖，雖說日本治安不差，但難免讓外國住客感到欠缺安全感

Non smoking Japanese style room with free tooth brushes razors etc but other rooms on same floor smoking so sleeping at night was hard because smoke smell very strong coming under door. Same with dining room which was a shame. Otherwise good and friendly place to stay.

As with most Japanese hotels, the room is clean and the staff were very friendly! They even gave us a free packet of bath salt which we really appreciated!

- Farid (8/5): Best value for the money and amazing staff - If you're not necessarily looking for "luxury", you can't go wrong with this little hotel. We stayed in a western style room on the first night and in a Japanese style room for a second. The rooms were clean and the bed sheets, too. Japanese style rooms have a characteristic odor that takes a few minutes to get used to (most likely due to the tatami) but they're MUCH more spacious than western style rooms and very comfortable and certainly a unique experience that I recommend, especially if you've never stayed at a "minshuku". Last but certainly not least, the staff is utterly polite, helpful and kind. We were out of words to thank them enough with.

- Hang Lun (6/5): - Overall pleasant, though I wish there could be breakfast provided. But considering it is a budget choice I won't complain. The hotel is clean and located in a quiet neighbourhood just around 5 minutes walk from the Hakodate JR station. Very convenient.
