- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautifully appointed, sea view well worth it - Fabulous - we had a sea-view room and the view from the balcony was really lovely. Loved sitting there, looking out to sea, enjoying the sunset. Room beautifully, if simply, appointed, very comfortable for a great night's sleep with the screen door allowing us to listen to the sea all night. Small breakfast buffet, but freshly cooked food was spot-on, thick Greek yoghurt with fresh or dried fruit, fresh orange juice, pastries - fabulous, and set us up for the day as we sat looking out over the coastline and the sea.

- Laurie (10/5): - This family who runs the property goes the extra mile to keep everything clean in your room and around the entire property. They their own parking area just behind which is nice if you have a car as parking is a problem in the area. Its right across the street from a nice beach and they have their own beds and umbrellas if you so choose. The rooms are huge and we had a usable kitchen. The nicest part is the friendly and kind family and the best breakfasts we've had in 3 weeks in Greece. I highly recommend this little gem.

Klimaanlage mit etwas unangenehmem Geruch. Täglich gute Reinigung. Prima Frühstücksbuffet mit lokalen und internationalen Speisen. Nur durch eine wenig befahrene Straße vom Sand-Strand entfernt, dort umsonst sehr bequeme Luxus-Holzliegen mit dicken Auflagen. Eigener kostenfreier Parkplatz hinterm Haus. Netter Familienbetrieb.

- Richard (10/5): - This place was phenomenal. It’s location is right in front of the beach and includes chairs and umbrellas. It seems to be a small family run business and they were all so kind and outgoing. It’s a short (less than 5 minute) and easy walk to the port restaurants and stores or can stay on beach front and eat there. If I ever get the opportunity to return to Crete, I would definitely be staying at this place.

We had great communication prior to arrival and were greeted by Maria on arrival. Maria gave us great recommendations for restaurants and explained the amenities of the hotel. The beds were comfortable and rooms are very spacious. The shower had great pressure and the partial sea view from our private balcony was exceptional especially during sunset. There is a lovely 2nd floor terrace to enjoy the sea view and is where you will eat the delicious breakfast in the morning. We wish we had spent more time at the hotel and would definitely stay here again if we are able to return to this slice of heaven.

Værelse var stort, dejlig seng, køkken og alt var pænt, rent og tip top. Sidst men ikke mindst så var den lille familie, som driver hotellet, de sødeste og mest hjælpsomme mennesker, man kan forestille sig. Jeg kommer så afgjort tilbage til denne perle.

Only concern we had is that the power went out around 6am, which caused two blinding emergency light bars to illuminate the room. Power remained off until we left.
- K (10/5): Bäst servicen i Paleochora - Vi var så nöjda med vår vistelse! Modernt hotell, bra rum, rent, tyst, strandläge och så klart bästa servicen i Paleochora. Frukosten äter man på deras takterrass varje morgon, med fantastisk utsikt och gott urval från buffén. Sista dagen var vi tyvärr tvungna att checka ut innan frukosten hade öppnat, men blev istället erbjudna att få den serverad till rummet dagen innan(kylskåp finns på rummen), vilket vi verkligen uppskattade! Service i världsklass!

- Jose (10/5): zentral gelegen und mit Herzblut geführt - Wir waren leider nur 1 Nacht im Blue Horizon und unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen! Das mit Herzblut geführtes Familienhotel liegt zentral gelegen (alles ist innert 5’ zu Fuss erreichbar) und direkt am Strand. Wir wurden im herzigen und neuen Hotel sehr freundlich empfangen und ausgeprägt über Restaurants beraten. Wir hatten ein zweckmässiges, gepflegtes und schön eingerichtetes Zimmer mit einem kleinen Balkon mit Meerblick. Das Badzimmer war etwas klein aber sehr sauber! Auf das herrliche Frühstück (7.50 Euro p.P.) oben auf der Dachterrasse sollte man nicht verzichten. Alles wurde vor Ort von Mutter und Tochter liebevoll und frisch zubereitet. Hier hat einfach alles gepasst! Wir können dieses Hotel nur weiterempfehlen!

- Raushi (10/5): Fantastic location and helpful personnel - Really enjoyed our stay both in Paleochora and Blue Horizon. Very friendly and helpful personnel. The terrace (where one can also get breakfast) provides fantastic sunset views. The bed is very comfortable and the room is well -equipped. Great location right by the well- organized beach (hotel stay includes the use of comfy beach beds). We had a problem with sewage smell which we reported and staff followed up swiftly to try to resolve the issue.

The hotel provides beach chairs and umbrellas as part of their service and we had a delicious breakfast included on the rooftop of the hotel with a view of the beach. We arrived later than check in and they provided instructions in an email on our room number and WiFi and how to get into our room. The room was spacious, had a couch, a very cute balcony and kitchenette. The town is small, very charming and very lively at night. the hotel is within walking distance of pretty much everything. We loved our stay and would recommend it to not only couples but families as well.

- Eva (10/5): Strandlage, die Besitzer zuvorkommend - Das Hotel war sehr gut, die Besitzer zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Alles war sehr sauber, gepflegt und der Blick aufs Meer auch sehr schön. Paleochora ist ein nettes umtriebiges Städtchen, in dem man alles bekommt was man so braucht und wo wir gut und zu vernünftigen Preisen Essen gehen konnten. Es wird viel hergerichtet und dort, wo nötig, auf einen besseren Stand gehoben. Der Strand davor ist gepflegt und sauber, so wie übrigens alle Strände und Buchten, die wir antrafen. Als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen ist das Blue Horizio gut gelegen. Innerhalb 1 Autostunde können Ausgangspunkte für Wanderungen mit alpinem Charakter, für ausgedehnte Strandwanderungen oder für spektakuläre Touren entlang der Küste mit Aussichtspunkten und Schluchten erreicht werden. Eine Autostunde heißt auf Kretas kleineren Straßen etwa 45km. Wir waren sehr zufrieden

- Sam (10/5): Perfect location and excellent room. - Blue Horizon is in my favorite location in Palaiochora, overlooking the sandy beach. It is in a quiet position only a few minutes walk from the shops and restaurants in the busy part of town. An brilliant extra that comes with the room is that you can use the sunbed and umbrellas on the beach opposite. The rooms are immaculate with gorgeous balconies looking out to sea. All the beds were really comfy and adult sized, even though we used the sofa bed and another extra bed. The staff were really helpful. They gave us advice on where to find secluded beaches by bike. There is lots of choice for breakfast and lots of breakfast if you want it. The breakfast is provided on a tray to eat on your balcony using the crockery and cutlery from the rooms kitchenette.
