When you book it be sure that it’s hotel and not apartment part. Apartment is simple and clean with all basic but it’s not hotel. We stayed only one night, hotel bus 🚌 helped with many luggage and reception tried their best. Early morning departure with no possibility to get breakfast too early. Great having many good and cheap small restaurants in 5 min distance. Our apartment has 2 rooms and kitchen corner

- ChellaMo101 (4/5): If you’re a foreigner, give it a MISS! - I just got back from this hotel. I had a layover and I ended up at Country Garden Kylin Apartment Hotel. It’s behind this hotel. No one tells you this, maybe because NO one speaks English and no one communicates anything with you. No essentials in the toilet at the apartment hotel, no phone I’m each room, actually just a mess and it’s free from china Southern Airlines because it sucks. Thanks for nothing China Southern Airlines
- S9049BIkarenc (8/5): Overnight Stay Hotel for China Sourthern Airline - Hotel was lovely, and rooms spacious. Had an evening meal at the restaurant. I enjoyed my meal. Had an early check out and the complementary breakfast was quite simple and not much to write home about considering the quality of the hotel. For a nights stay complementary of the airline it was better than expected
- dickykneedtraveler (10/5): Exceptional Service - The hotel staff were amazing, we had 2 less abled people in our party. We were met at the shuttle bus by 2 staff with wheelchairs, escorted through check in and taken to our rooms. The staff arranged a time with us in the morning,they were collected, taken down for breakfast then onto the shuttle bus. Our rooms were clean,spacious and had great pillows. The bathroom big and the shower nice and hot. Buffet breakfast excellent too, plenty of choices. Overall an excellent stay.

I choose this hotel because it was cheap but really surprised this hotel facility is better than Korea's 5 star hotel. mattress is really comfortable and from other people's review, there is some flight noise but actually for me couldn't heard it. service is so so but facility is much more better than expect.
- Pierre668 (6/5): Good for a short layover by CAN transit passengers - I'd booked a suitroom & a twin room for a layover. Firstly, I found the shuttle service was not sufficient because we must call and wait for apt p/u as the hotel got no rep in the Baiyun airport. Then the checkin procedure was not smooth, it took 1/2 for room keys also didn't clean up yet at 2 pm. Nothing surprise of the suitroom just extra sofa then. Twin room was up to standard. All amenties were no-frills probably it is not a branded hotel chain. Beware of the noise of flights movement as well as food preparing in restaurant was also terrible SLOW. No chance to use the pool, suppose it would be great. Recommended for short stay only.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - If you need a hotel near Gyuangzhoju's Baiyun International Airport the Phoenix is a must. The hotel and staff are adept AT handling those who come and go to and from the airport. shuttle buses run every half hour (free) beginning at 0400. Rooms are modern, large, well equipped, good wireless. A tasty moderately prices Cantonese restaurant. An English speaking Assitant Manager at the front desk - many of the regular staff also speak English including the restaurant that has a Chinese/English menu. All that for a value priced rate with pictures.

During the night, one room had cigarette smoke coming through the vents. Room was clean and large. The bathroom was big. Wifi okay. Hotel restaurant food okay and priced above average. Service slow and staff did not speak English. There's nothing around this area. I book this hotel because we had an early flight out the next morning. Stayed at Pullman when we arrived in China. Country Garden room price better than Pullman, but Pullman has better location with easier access to the metro and quieter rooms.
- StanUP (10/5): Excellent service - It serves excellent as transit hotel. A little bit run down here and there, but it's free from southern airlines, so it didn't bother me much. If you do not smoke, remember to ask for non smoking room, otherwise they will automatically arrange a smoking room. Excellent staffs, very warm service from reception, restaurant, and breakfast restaurant. The attached Chinese restaurant tastes really good and reasonably priced. I don't think there's any nice restaurants just nearby. It takes almost an hour to downtown and quite costly by a taxi or Didi car.

- Bing (8/5): OK for one night. - The local area is closed to airport and is under construction. So the traffic is horrible and the shuttle is not on schedule during peak hours. Hotel is new and clean, staffs are nice. Hair dryer only works for 2 minutes then stop, needs cool down to avoid over head.
- S9049BIkarenc (10/5): Luxury for the Night - The room was spacious and very upmarket. We arrived late in the evening and the restaurant was still open. Food was a challenge as one of our meals was not the fish as specified on the menu. Early check out so restaurant was not open for breakfast. They did have a small bag of goodies but it was not very substantial. This was a hotel that was on offer as a stop over for China Southern Airlines flight enroute to Chendu.
- PC (2/5): - If you are staying to go to the airport, this is overpriced. Many hotels nearby at lower price. The dinner is way overpriced for Guangzhou. As in many places, not all, it refuses to accept Western credit card.
- Keydawn (8/5): Spacious, Modern, Stylish, w/ a breakfast buffet to die for - A short distance from the airport with complimentary shuttle service at 30 min frequency during peak hours, but make sure you have the cellular number of its airport transfer staff who is very helpful in coordinating with the driver. Pick up at Terminal 1 is outside Door #14 on departure not arrival level, but you have to call, normally they only pick up at Terminal 2. Wonder why? It's a modern, stylish, spacious hotel, too bad it's too far from everything but the airport. If the flight leaves in the AM, this is where I would spend the night. The breakfast buffet is so awesome, I can easily imagine spending a week here, just for their breakfast. Oh yes, there is one terrible downside to the hardware, the shower control for hot water is impossible to figure out and hard to grab when your hands are wet. I would not be surprised if many guests were scalded while trying to figure it out. Note to management, while you figure out how to modify or replace the hot water control valve, set maximum temperature at boiler plant for the hot water feed to 120 degrees Fahrenheit (49 degrees Celsiu).

- JackDanielsGD (8/5): Good hotel for short stay - I stay 2 nights in Oct2018 hotel is new, modern, good located close to airport Bayiun, rooms are big comfort and clean. Breakfast was a good point of my stay, it was a big range of food, not only a chinesee one but mostly. Only weak points is a 24h noise of starting airplanes but you can have a free ear stoppers in a reception desk. Wifi bad as in a most of places.
- HweeLeng (6/5): Good as a transit hotel but not as a hotel for vacation in Guangzhou - Location : About 10mins drive from airport. No restaurants or shopping surrounding the hotel. Heard that it's difficult to get a taxi to the hotel due to its close proximity thus Low fare earned. No metro station surrounding th hotel. Nearest station is the line 3 station inside the airport. Shuttle service : Ideally call hotel inform your flight details prior to arriving. Else go to the enquiry counter at airport arrival hall and have the counter staff to help call the hotel. Then proceed towards gate 50 and wait at the seats outside KFC for the free shuttle. The rep from hotel will call out the hotel name when the bus arrive and will lead you to the bus. Usually at interval of 1hr. Rooms : Stayed on 7th floor of the hotel. Room is well appointed, big and very clean. Furniture n furnishings are new. It include flat screen tv and a massage chair (chargeable for usage). Basic toiletries, bathrobe, towels, hair dryer is provided. It has a standing shower. Some noise (not very loud) when aeroplane flew over the hotel, but Level of noise was acceptable for me. And did not have too many such fly over during bed time. Hotel facilities : There's a Swimming pool, a restaurant serving all meals and a small area selling snacks/drinks and essentials. Service : Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Not sure about their ability to speak in English as we were able to speak to them in Mandarin since we know the language. Overall A good enough hotel if you are on transit or flight delayed. Not quite a hotel for holiday makers due to its far distance from town and no vibe surrounding.

- H2226TJcathys (4/5): Stale Cigarette Smoke Stench - I stayed here May 11, 2018. As with any hotel in China at this price point, there's no such thing as rooms that have not been smoked in: all rooms are smoking rooms. I have a more sensitive sense of smell than many people, I would say, but if the smell of stale or recent cigarette smoke bothers you, you won't like this place. Back in the days before carpets and upholstery, when smoking was even more widespread, it wasn't so bad; "fancier" makes it worse. Staff is friendly, airport shuttle is convenient, no other complaints.

Unfortunately our flight was severely delayed due to weather but we checked in at 6 am and were able to shower, rest and enjoy a wonderful breakfast. They were nice enough to put us in an incredible suite. The suite was unspeakably beautiful, extremely well appointed and comfortable. We had a little trouble adjusting the a/c but we were so tired we didnt care. We will definitely stay here on our next trip! Note: English was very limited but staff was wonderful and we managed fine. Also several reviewers noted that the property was hard to find. Our driver simply called the hotel and got easy directions so be sure to bring the phone number and address in Chinese.

- MM (8/5): 空港には近いが、長期滞在には向かないホテル - 客室は広く、ベッドの質もよい。時々飛行機の発着音が気になるが、眠れないほどではない。しかしながら、ホテル周辺にはローカル・レストランが数軒あるだけで、コンビニもない。結局はホテルで食事をとるしかないと思われる。空港へは、無料シャトルバス（約1時間に1本）で約２０分。トランジットホテル としては及第点と思われる。

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The Hotel is good quality, buffet and gymnasium were good. Room was comfortable and immaculately clean. Service was good. Only issue was getting to the hotel from the airport. Unfortunately as an English only speaker I found it difficult to find and use the shuttle service from the airport. I also discovered that getting a taxi was also difficult. It took 6 different taxi divers before finding one who knew where the hotel was even with a map on my phone. Please note: taxi's require payment in cash likely no more than 100 should be sufficient.

- Verified traveler (8/5): short stay - It was ok overall, we didn't have any chance to explore the hotel because we were there the night before our very early flight the next morning, staffs were great and helpful. The reason i booked this hotel is because its close to the airport and offer free shuttle to the airport form 5am on.
- Reid (10/5): Country Garden Airport Phoenix Hotel - Guangzhou - Great economical Hotel to stay at! 4 star hotel at 2 star pricing for the time we were there. I would have no problem staying there again, close to the airport and a free shuttle to boot. Awesome free breakfast buffet with a great selection of western cuisine! Wear a sweater or light jacket though, very cool in the restaurant.

- gpybus1 (8/5): Cheap and chearful - I stayed in the "kylin apartment" blcok... My stay at this apartment was for about 20 hours before I caught another flight to London. As stays go it was pretty nice, I was in room 802 and it over looked some beautiful greenery. The only downside was as it’s an airport hotel so you get the noise of the airport, this wasn’t a problem for me though, pop the ear plugs in and off you sleep! I must note that locating the airport Free shuttle and actually getting it was a bit of a faff. So for anyone using the apartments free shuttle follow these instructions! Go to Gate 19 when you land and wait for the large dusty gold shuttle bus! I asked about four people for directions. Make sure you ask otherwise you will get lost, this airport is huge! the bus goes every half an hour (1pm, 130pm ect) don’t get in anyone else’s cab/bus claiming to be them as this happened to me and I ended up stopping the “bus” and swiftly getting off! The beds are basic but for a night or so it’s not to bad, the showers are pretty nice and the sofas comfy! Make sure you get someone to put the WiFi password in for you as it’s all wrote in Chinese so if your not a native manually putting this in is a nightmare! There aren’t many local shops around so if you plan on eating in the apartments I would probably pick up some stuff in the airport to use when you get in! I got some Noodles and used the kettle and chopsticks when I got in! Overall a very pleasant stay!

- Julia (8/5): Close to airport - clean and comfortable - Standard of hotel and rooms was very good for the price. It is not far from the airport and offers a free shuttle to the airport every 30min/1 hr depending on the time of day. No English channels on tv and little to do in local area, but many travelers use this hotel just to transit as I did so was not worried by this. Also currently a lot of roadworks so during daylight hours there is noise from one side of the hotel however when asked to move to non-road side of the hotel I was immediately changed to a quieter room. Service at hotel restaurant was average and slow, but food was good. If there is a conference on at the hotel, try to find out when they will be using the restaurant and avoid that time.

- tinib30 (2/5): airplanes flying over constantly - I stayed on the 7th floor. It is impossible to sleep here, as the airplanes fly over throughout the whole night. Isolation is so bad that it seems as if they are in your bedroom. A good night's sleep is very important when you're on a business trip, so don't stay here.
- Riesst (8/5): Convenient transit hotel with well appointed rooms at an affordable price - Country Garden Phoenix hotel is located 6 KM from Guangzhou Bayun Airport. The hotel was opened in 2015 and has 200 rooms. A free shuttle bus service from the airport departs every 30 minutes from gate 19, which is located in the central building of the airport. The rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished. The oversized double bed provided a good night's sleep. A large writing desk, a comfortable recliner chair, a kettle for making tea and coffee is available in the room. The W-LAN connection is fast and reliable. The bathroom is equipped with a shower cabin. Various toilet articles including wet shavers which is handy for transit passengers. The rooms are relatively poorly soundproofed. I recommend rooms with odd numbers, because they give on the back yard. A busy main road passes In front of the hotel, additionally the noise form aircrafts is common due to the proximity of the airport. The breakfast buffet is extensive. The restaurant is more tuned to Western taste, serving burgers, pasta, etc. For those who are looking for traditional Chinese cuisine there are two places serving simple, tasty food and reasonably priced food on the opposite side of the road. A picture menu is available, This hotel offers a good accommodation at a competitive price near to Bayun Airport in Guangzhou.

- Traveler CO (8/5): Clean Hotel but it doesn't honor its promises - Pros, The hotel is clean and roomy. Food is pretty good. Cons: The hotel description shows that this hotel provide free access to the pool and free breakfast in Expedia website. I double checked with Expedia after my booking. They confirmed that is the case. But when I check it, the hotel staff said breakfast is not included even though the website shows all booking for this hotel from Expedia includes breakfast. It took hours to resolve this problem. It is very difficult to find Door#19 at the airport to get on the shuttle to this hotel.
- Allan (8/5): Perfect for an overnight stay - We were just there in transit overnight so didn't get to use all the hotel facilities but the staff were friendly and efficient. Didn't suffer any language barriers. The room is quite nice. Big shower, everything clean. The bed is firm but comfortable. Compared with the rock hard bed I slept on at another hotel in Guangzhou, it was much better. I usually prefer soft beds but I was able to sleep easily on this one. Free shuttle went from gate 19 at the airport, it was about , 15 minutes. When we checked in they asked us when we wanted to get the shuttle in the morning and it seemed to go every half hour.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect airport hotel - Needed a hotel close to the airport to rest between flights from New Zealand to the United Kingdom. Country Garden Airport Phoenix Hotel was perfect that purpose. Close, convenient and clean. Customer service was helpful and friendly. Free airport shuttle was quick and much appreciated. The bed was a bit too firm - and I like firm beds - but I was so tired I had no trouble sleeping. If you like soft beds you may be uncomfortable. Shower was terrific though. All in all a perfect airport hotel.
