Guest Reviews
- Lynn (6/5): Break - Grear location overlooking bay Tired. Geared up for elderly coach tours. Breakfast poor quality sausages and bacon. Poor variety of menu choice for 4* hotel. Same with dinner menu only 3 choices of main. Menu stated lamb. Pork was served no apology or drinks taken off bill would expect more from 4*. Staff appear to be very inexperienced. Bathroom new but very poor water pressure in shower forget the waterfall shower heads just put on power showers needs loo roll holder. Needs hotel quality pillows
Bundoran tired lots of empty shop units
Go to maddens for food excellant seafood good atmosphere what should be provided at 4* hotel

- vrooom (7/5): - Location overlooking Atlantic and town. Good value. Kind staff. Inexpensive bar [pasta blognese dinner good a dinner. Room was quiet and clean, the bed comfortable. Nice bathw/good shower & yet tiny sink (!!). Definitely a Blue Collar crowd. Crowded w/loud people. Dinner good but only available in crowded rawkus bar - not pleasant dining atmosphere.
Room and bath were quite cold (temp) and no info on heating it.

The room overlooked the sea and was spotlessly clean (housekeeping were very helpful). The bathroom was modern and the room was large and well equipped. The pool area is small but well run and has everything you need (staff were lovely). Breakfast was good. Would recommend Nothing

Location great Had booked a family room but was given a double room. Should have had two full size beds. Had a single and a double. It was also very noisy. Music blaring under our room. Rang reception but found them unhelpful

We did say a complaint before breakfast but the lady said oh we could of sent up a heater that the hotel was closed all week , was glad to get home to the heat

- Stricak Brezjan (5/5): - the staff was friendly and the food was delicious It did not meet my expectations. When we arrived at the hotel we were given the wrong room with other people in it, we felt very uncomfortable. The room was very cold. We waited more than half an hour for dessert at dinner. The staff tried to be friendly. The breakfast was delicious but very little choice.
- Carmel (10/5): - Lovely place to stay every thing was fantastic
- Jane (3/5): Not the greatest won’t be back - The room was clean The breakfast was stone cold and no room service available
- Dermotog (7/5): -
- Sadhbh (2/5): We sat down for an evening meal and when we received our starters they were cold - Location Managers rude
Breakfast cold
Evening meal cold
Dirty curtain left on table in lift
We sat down for an evening meal and received our starters which were cold. The attitude of managers in the restaurant was nothing short of appalling. We then waited over an hour in our mains and left having not received them.
The ‘hot’ breakfast buffet was cold which posed a risk of food poisoning to guests.
There was a stained curtain left in a table in the lift to the bedrooms for the duration of our stay.
Overall, €260 for one night for 2 people was overpriced as the hotel itself is outdated and old.
- Derek (9/5): - Location and view on the golf course
The breakfast buffet was very good After travelling for 11 hours we were tired and looking to get food etc but the restaurant finished at 8.45pm and we were there at 9pm and couldn’t get any food. And there was no bar snacks like crisps or nuts etc
- Snizhana (10/5): -

- Paul (7/5): We had a nice stay. Room was a bit dated but that probably the style! - Breakfast was excellent. Location was perfect as we were attending the Onair concert. Bar and Foyer were comfortable and view was excellent. Room was a bit cold on arrival. Had to ring down to get cups for coffee. No complimentary biscuits. Bed was a bit small for a double.

- David (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay the location, rooms and staff were fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable on places to visit locally. We highly recommended this hotel enjoyed our time visiting and staying here. Nothing loved our stay
- Kathleen (10/5): A hotel that has just about everything - The great Northern hotel has something for just about everyone just within walking distance you’ve cut surfing golfing, possibilities of seeing them northern lights and playgrounds for the kids. I have no complaints about the property, but I was traveling with two older teens, and it would’ve been nice to know the properties schedule in advance that it was bingo night as there were no other people around their age. Nothing really for them to do age relative. In the evening.
