- Hayley (8/5): Azure beach - The location was great, right in the middle of grand baie. Service was ok and room was clean.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The hotel advertises as having a restaurant, which was only open on two occasions during my 12-day stay. The staff could not tell me when the hotel would be open and instead advised that I go elsewhere, down the road. I did not feel safe leaving the hotel at night, so this proved to be an issue.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pas de parking - Personnel accueillant. Couloir des chambres , moquette très sale et tachée. La chambre très propre, grand lit, pièce très grande avec tout le confort.
Un problème il n'y a pas de parking. Les voitures sont garées le long de la route s'il y a de la place. Il faudrait préciser parking publique ou privé. Nous rencontrons le même problème à la Réunion.
- Graham (2/5): - Where do I start!! The building looks half built and the photos in the website are surely not the same hotel. Dirty carpets, smell of sewage and noisy. Breakfast okay but the same every day fruit and omelette. Internet broken and nobody seems to care. Only good thing I can say is the price wasn’t too high. Having said this I’d rather camp on the beach. Other than the noise not a bad location, if you can sleep with a dozen or so stray dogs barking all night

Got there and apparently we had to be placed in another hotel due to the room not being available which was completely unacceptable although payment was made in full prior to arrival. Then we were moved to another place and then back to the hotel the following day. It was a waste of a day and spoilt our time in Grand Baie🙄

- Elvira (4/5): - The place was just ok the only good thing was the view, there was no orientation of the place on check in, the tv was not working, there was no kettle until all was requested. Also throughout the stay there was no hot water. The hallway carpets are stained and also always had a bad odor. The staff were friendly however

- Mauricio (4/5): Uma espelunca em Grand Bay !!! - Depois de quase 24 horas de viagem entre o Rio de Janeiro a Mauritius , cheguei no hotel e fui avisado que o hotel estava cheio ( overbooking ) e me colocaram em um outro hotel a 2 Km da onde eu queria ficar em Grand Bay. Passei dois dias nesse hotel que era bom. Ao chegar no hotel que eu havia reservado , constatei que o quarto que eu havia pago estava ocupado ! Era um quarto Premium com varanda e vista mar! Depois de muita briga uma parte da diferença me foi devolvida e ganhei de “ brinde “ um passeio de Catamaran . Hotel cheio de infiltrações , cheiro de mofo no quarto 306 que eu fiquei ! Gerência irresponsável onde só visam o lucro ! Não recomendo essa espelunca! Tentei reclamar duas vezes com a Hotéis.com e a ajuda foi zero ! Fiquei muito chateado com o hotel que não volto mais e com a falta de apoio da Hotéis. Com

- Not a 4 star, rather a 3 star, especially in service
- Reception is a box and receptionist availability is random. Information on opening hours not indicated on the door or elsewhere.
- Check-in: no information that the check-in is exclusively from 2 pm without flexibility, e.g. at least checking the reservation, tell that the room will be ready by 2 and until the luggage can be placed somewhere. I arrived at 11, the owner told me to sit down as the receptionist is not available before 2 pm. Waited almost 2 hours, without knowing whether the booked room is available or not, the owner mentioned that I might need to sleep in the first night in another hotel. The owner had no clue about the reservations, seemed very confused and unprofessional for guest service. When the receptionist arrived, she was arrogant and told that they mixed up something with my reservation, so on the first night, I cannot get the booked and paid ocean view room. No compensation, not even a diner was offered for this incident.
- The ocean room had a nice view from the window, but you have to use constantly the blinder, because there was a balcony in front of the window, and everybody from the floor has access to it. Therefore, people gathered there, smoking, looking into the room and made noise, completely destroying the privacy.
- No door that separates the toilet from the bed area.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - A very friendly family run hotel with a popular beach white sandy just across. Grand Bay has a shopping mall, many clothes shops meeting everyones need. Highly recommended. access to bus route.
- Fedelspd (8/5): - Hotel nuovo appena ristrutturato, ottima struttura con splendida vista dal terrazzino. Il personale è straordinariamente disponibile, cortese e impeccabile in particolare i ragazzi che lavorano della sera (Martin e Kheybi) hanno reso fantastico il nostro soggiorno. Consiglio questa struttura a chiunque. Da segnalare anche una fantastica colazione con roba sempre buona e fresca. Uniche note negative l’assenza di Wi-Fi nelle prime camere dei corridoi e dei strani insettini piccoli che abbiamo trovato in camera vicino agli angoli delle pareti.
- Monika (6/5): Trevligt hotell - men varning för köp av halfboard - Hotellet är trevligt med trevlig personal, men alla uppmanas att vara försiktiga vid bokning genom Hotels.com - köp INTE rum med halvpension, för det finns inte. Vi betalade för det, men vid ankomst visade det sig att hotellet inte har nån middagspension - bara rum med frukost. Det finns heller inga egna balkonger - bara en stor gemensam terrass (med fin utsikt!)och det är mot denna som de sk seaview-rummen ligger. Det betyder att de har full insyn och att jalusierna måste vara neddragna och att man alltså inte har nån glädje av utsikt från rummet!
Övrigt - fräscha rum ( men ingen dörr till toaletten - bara ett draperi!), bra frukost, bra lokala kommunikationer, promenadavstånd till såväl stränder, som butiker och annan service. Prisvärt - såvida man inte betalat för halvpension!!
- jeanluc (4/5): - des notre arrivée il n'y avait pas de chambre de libre donc on nous a dirigé vers un autre établissement de qualité médiocre pour notre premiere nuit,la demi pension ne comprend qu'un plat chaud, eau chaude douche inexistante, vue par la fenêtre de la chambre calamiteuse, dommage qu'on ne nous ai pas proposer une compensation pour tous ses désagrements heureusement que le personnels etaient aceuillant
- Christophe (8/5): Correct mais des choses à revoir. - Hormis un souci d'enregistrement survenu lors de mon arrivée (le gérant ne trouvant pas ma réservation a été obligé de me transférer sur un autre hôtel, moins confortable...) et un petit souci technique avec la télévision (image brouillée lorsque celle-ci était fixée au mur... j'ai demandé au technicien de la laisser sur la table afin que l'image reste nette...) mon séjour s'est bien déroulé. Le personnel a été réactif et a toujours essayé de trouver des solutions aux problèmes rencontrés. Pour essayer de se rattraper le repas m'a été offert le dernier soir (avec tout de même un choix limité).

- Rafick (2/5): Hotel Azur, Grand Bay, Mauritius. Do not touch. - My stay was awful. Booked a triple room and was given one room with king size bed. Bed was very old with broken legs. Pieces of would from the broken leg was under the bed. Mattress was fit for the dump, so old and overworn. Mattress was uneven and could feel the springs in my back. It was just like sleeping on an uneven metal. Manger did not do anything to provide some comfort. TV in the room was not connected. Did not work. There was a small empty old fridge in the room. It did not work either. Nowhere to keep some cold water as the weather was hot. There was no telephone in the room. No water sprinklers on the ceiling in case of fire. No lift in the building and no help to carry your baggage upstairs. Reception was unattended mostly in pm and at night. No instruction how to contact anybody if need be. Breakfast was bland, tea or coffee, one boiled egg, bread & butter & jam with a couple of pieces of fruit. Every day the same thing. No cereals or any other choice. When told Manager was not interested in proving any comfort. He got his money and it was very expensive for the poor service and quality. Shower room had only two tired and worn out towels with holes. They were half the size of a bath towel. Only one bar of soap for the whole stay. Unused soaps they collect and recycle to other visitors.
This hotel is worse than a 2 star hotel. I would not advise anybody to use this place.

- ML (6/5): Basic and clean and close to everything - The staff were very friendly but the hotel was not fully renovated as they have taken the hotel over and are redoing it. Our biggest complaint was no hot water but they eventually sorted that out. The location is right in the middle of Grand Bay, but either side of the hotel are abandoned buildings that you have to get used to. Other than that, is close to everything, it's clean and the food was good.
