• Linda (6/5): - Central location We stayed in the cosy cabin. As the name suggests, it is cosy (small). The bathroom is probably the smallest I have ever seen. To be fair they warn you it is near the road. But I didnt think traffic would be bad considering it is Yungaburra. But it is, and it is so loud. This cabin is not for older people or people with mobility issues. It has a larger lounge room but the bedroom is in the smaller room with the kitchette. Why not make the bigger room the bedroom? It is worth paying more to stay in one of the other cabins.

It's location was excellent in regards to the Yungaburra Markets {literally just a walk across the road) and local eateries. The design of the unit with the kitchenette in the bedroom was odd. I would have preferred to be able to prepare a cup of tea in the morning without disturbing my sleeping partner. I also found that although the unit was fully screened, there were biting insects. Insect spray was provided.
• Dean (6/5): Expensive for what it was, but convenient - Convenient to town. Pokey, bathroom not very clean, walls slimy and mirror not clean. Pebble shower floor doesn’t drain well or dry properly. Pillows smelt but we got them replaced. Fan had dust on all bases so I didn’t dare use it.

Everything the town has to offer was within easy reach: cafés, local shops, and beautiful walking trails. Staying here made exploring Yungaburra effortless and enjoyable, with no need for long drives or complicated plans. If convenience and immersion in the town’s atmosphere are what you’re after, this hotel is perfectly situated. Room was near the main road, a bit noisy by day but quiet at night. Soundproof blinds helped, and since we were out exploring most of the time, it wasn’t a big issue.

A very clean, comfortable, convenient and well thought out space. We had everything we needed. We stayed in the 3 bedroom which was perfect for our family group. It included the room others have commented on which is close to the road however with the blinds and shutters, the noise wasn't an issue for us. Would recommend. Special family memories made. • Cooper (10/5): Of the six accomodations we stayed in over a two week period, this was hands down the best of the best. I just wished we - Everything! The way the room was set up, it was like a little home. The only thing I would say, is that the online booking photos don’t do it justice! We liked what we saw in the photos, but absolutely loved what we saw in person.

The sitting area and table an chairs made it more than just a hotel room. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was very quiet. The location can't be beaten. The spa bath was difficult to get in and out of for a shower, and we had to ask for bath mats and wash cloths. The price was high.

The villa was very stylish furbished und with everything equipped what you need. It is very centrally located and also very close to the Platypus viewing platform. • Enraw (10/5): Excellent accommodation in a very beautiful part of the world. - The Hideout at Blue Summit Hideaway was the perfect accommodation for our 8-day stay in beautiful Yungaburra. It provided everything we needed - a comfortable bed, TV with free Netflix, free wi-fi, a washing machine and dryer, and full cooking facilities. Within a few minutes’ walk were lovely cafes, a lively pub, a supermarket and places to see platypus. The countryside around Yungaburra is glorious, a combination of tropical rainforest, rolling farmlands, crater lakes and one of Australia’s most important birdwatching sites, Hastie’s Swamp. Gina, our host at Blue Summit Hideaway could not have been more welcoming or helpful.
• Ceri (9/5): Charming tiny village, great accomodation - We loved the rooms and all the extras - more of a hotel experience We had the 2 bdr villa - this is at the front of the property and on the road which we didn’t love. If you can get a room at the back it’s quieter and the setting lovely.
• M7273VPsaraw (10/5): What a great place to stay! Highly recommend. - What a great place to stay! I was travelling with my elderly mother with mobility issues. The owner was lovely and made every accommodation she could to make our stay the best it could be given the setbacks. The villa was modern, stylish and very clean which was a standout point for me. Beds and pillows were clearly great quality and very comfortable (we had stayed in several hotels throughout Cairns and the tablelands) which made for a much-needed good sleep. Yungaburra offered many quaint stops and adventures unique to the area making it the perfect stop over location. Will be staying there again next time. Highly recommend in every aspect.

The cost studio was awful traffic noise unbearable and the fridge in the bedroom was exceptionally noise and gave off extreme heat. I do not recommend this room no one in reception to after 4:30 pm and at 9:30 am to tell personally

Fronts onto the main road of Yungaburra, walls are thin so you can hear every truck and car going by as well as people walking the footpath. Music at 2am was off the planet. Exhaust fan in the toilet was like a jet engine…..I couldn’t believe it. For the price I can get something way better and roomy in Port Douglas. Will never stay here again.

Gina and Emma were both so lovely and really made us feel special. They never restocked the mini bar and to be honest if they had I would have kept buying it so I feel like they lost some money there but probably good for my bank account! Haha
