Alexandra (10/5): - Loved the great views and peaceful pool and beach area. Loved being able to enjoy the marine life in clearer waters than the main strip of hotels. Loved that many pools were 4 ft, so my 7 year old was able to enjoy the pools freely as she is still learning to swim. The room was so elegant and clean; we felt so comfortable and safe our entire time at the hotel. Had all the dishes we needed for cooking and so many towels. The beds and couches were beyond comfy. We slept on night on beds and the other we all fell asleep on couches watching movies. The staff were great and helpful. Access to enjoy amenities at Mayan Palace was such a plus. In the words of my daughter "I give this place a 10 outta ten" I'd say the distance, but 17 minutes to encantame towers or 30 minutes to Malecon/main town isn't too long for me personally. There is a lot more marine life than the crowded beaches, so my wife didn't want us to get in past our knees, but i loved that part. I saw a lil stingray and a couple jellyfish:D for the 1st time in the wild.

paola (8/5): - El area de albercas muy bien El departamento qué nos tocó tenía la basura del hospedaje anterior, las toallas aún en la secadora en los lavamanos tardaba en irse el agua y el lava trastes tiraba agua sí resolvieron lo del lava trastes pero uno perdió tiempo esperando a qué repararan la tubería, la atención muy buena, simplemente les falta cuidar ciertos detalles para qué todo sea excelente, la atención del personal muy buena

LEON (9/5): Excelente para vacionar - Me gustó la ubicación y el acceso ala playa muy limpia y privada Falta mas atención del personal de limpieza, y el camino rumbo a las instalaciones esta muy feo ,promocionan mucho al gran maya ,pero el personal del gran maya no te permite utilizar su entrada de pavimento porque eres kivoya ni porque estas llendo a comer todos los dias y estas gastando mas de 100 dlls por comida familiar.
Tonya (10/5): Very peaceful and comfortable! - This is a very peaceful and comfortable place. It’s out away from the city and lights, so you see all the stars! It’s also very quiet and relaxing especially on the private beach…you won’t be bombarded with people trying to sell you stuff! The host kindly checked in with us throughout our stay to see if we needed anything, very pleasant communication! Thank you for the relaxing getaway that I needed! The only issue I had was that I had to leave, I wish I could spend a whole month here relaxing!

lizzydlm (5/5): you get what you pay for - The unit was spacious Front desk lady was nice *The long dirt road to the resort was not pleasant, which made traveling to and from town very annoying. I've stayed at Encantame which also has a long road to the resort, but it is nicely paved. Made a huge difference! You have nothing at the resort, so you'll be good as long as you bring all the food and beverages with you and you arent planning on going anywhere (nightlife or exploring the town) during your stay. *The oven door was broken *There were very few towels in the condo, and I had to request more towels several times. We didn't get them until we almost left. We did notice, on the last day, there were towels in the dryer. It would've been nice to at least know thats were they were. *the wind was blowing inside one of the bedrooms, the seal on the sliding door needs to be repaired. It was so loud, couldnt even sleep *all sinks were backed up, every time we used them to wash hands or brush teeth, the water would take forever to drain. *It was advertised that there was a sleeper sofa. there was no sleeper sofa. all three sofas in the unit were regular sofas, neither of them extended into a sleeper sofa. *no toiletries in the condo, only small bar of soap to wash hands *none of the umbrellas at the pool worked. We had to use a nail file we had on hand to put through one of the poles to hold the umbrella open so we could use it *if you want adult beverages, or beverages in general, make sure to buy in town before hand. *The pool was not clean, had lots of debree in it

Madelyn (8/5): Had a great time - The view was incredible. My kids loved the pool. Our room was large spacious and clean. There was plenty of hot water and that was really nice. Everything that did work worked really well. When we did have an issue maintenance came quickly. Everyone was very friendly and nice. I Really liked how our parking spot was covered. And was happy to see security walking around late at night When we arrived we were informed our stove didn't work. After the first night we realized an AC in one of the rooms also didn't work (both of which couldn't be fixed during our stay). A tile fell out of the decorative wall ( all of which looked kind of lose and we showed that to maintenance). And a really minor thing was one of the glass fixtures on the railing for the outdoor balcony was loose and rattled when the wind hit it.

The door appeared to be kicked in tiles were missing. There was broken glass in the room when we checked in. Was definitely not worth the money that we paid as it was equivalent to a Holiday Inn in America.

Celina (10/5): If you don't mind being far from town, this is a great place to stay! - The place is about 30 min from town and you have to drive through a dirt rode. If you don't mind that then this place is for you. The condo was amazing, the view from our room was unbeatable, the beds super confortable, the pool was always clean, staff was super friendly, the beach was also great, overall we had an amazing time. Wifi was an issue, they went to fix it 2 times and still never worked. The a/c unit at the main bedroom was super loud. My husband loved it, he said it was like "white noise" but I am a light sleeper so that was not great.

Verified traveler (6/5): Changed our room and no accommodations. - Well the view is amazing but it wasn’t the place we rented and is not what we got. They changed it on us. Although it was still a 3 bedroom, it was in a different building then all of our family in 5 other rooms so we had to haul our kids and stuff back and forth every time to see family or get together in our large family vacation. We specifically rented that building and that room for that reason. Also the new place didn’t have any smart TV’s and the 1 ghetto TV they had was super small in the living room. Again, not the room we booked, yet no discount or accommodations for the change or inconvenience. The biggest pool was under construction and not made aware. The hot tubs were nice and 1 pool was swimmable. A little pool bar was open a few hours a day but not reliable. No groceries or market or anything else on property. View was amazing and right on the beach which is super nice and convenient, but there is nothing close by. Don’t plan to walk to anything.
Jn (4/5): For us: Never again, especially not with little kids. - The apartment itself was clean and well furnished. The apartment was nice, but be sure about the difference between a hot tub and a jacuzzi. We booked this room with Jacuzzi. In this apartment is enough warm water to shower mit 3-4 persons one after the other, but not more. When you will try to fill the Jacuzzi with warm water, it’s just enough for 1-2 inch water in the Jacuzzi and then it will run cold. It takes 2 hours to get the water warm again to take a shower. No heater at the Jacuzzi. Almost the whole resort wasn’t usable without a notice upfront and without a compensation afterwards. The whole pool including the two hot tubs where under construction. The shop was closed most of the time and the pool snack bar never opened. We are a family with two little kids and for the, it was dangerous to let them running around. There was an option to use the resort next to it (also a pool and one opened hot tub), but the noise of the construction side (like due to jack hammers) made it really unpleasant to stay. The noise was also noticeable at the beach. Another option was to drive by your own car to the Mayan Resort, which is really nice, but our plan was not to use the car during the vacation. We missed a lot of these infos upfront and it was not nice to get no compensation. In addition, there is no emergency plan for an electricity outage, which we had from one afternoon to early morning hours. Stuff was nice in regard of quick fixes within the apartment, even helped out with a phone charger. But no help in regard of the construction and the electricity outage.
Paul (9/5): Can’t beat having morning coffee on the balcony with unobstructed ocean views - You can’t beat the ocean view from the living area and master bedroom. Very relaxing in the morning to sit on the nice balcony with your coffee. Easy in and out access to the resort. Electronic door lock was nice so no need to remember the card key if you are going to the pool and back. Excellent shell collecting when the tide goes out. Hard to cook eggs in the morning with the electric stove. Took a very long time for the pans to heat up. Hot water for showers runs out after the second person. A bit of a drive if you want to go into town. Great if you like the seclusion and just want to stay in.

adam (10/5): Super nice private condo - Was a great stay. Carmen made the process seamless. Great communication on her end. The property was very private and super nice. Great views. Private beach, hot hot tub. There are no services here. Bring everything you are going to need asfat as food and booze. Plenty of cooking gear and plates, cups, etc. We will be staying there again.
Travis (6/5): - The condo is in need of some upgrades and repairs. The dishwasher was broken so we has to do all our dishes by hand. The kitchen was well stocked but with the dishwasher broken we could have used paper products. Additional paper towels and garbage bags were not provided which made cleaning difficult. The hot water heater was very small so hot showers were limited and with 6 people staying there it was hard to get a warm shower. The patio was nice but one of the patio couches was broken so we were unable to use it. The mattresses in the bedrooms could defiantly be replaced and the master bathroom had a bad sewer smell coming from the toilet at all times.

Noe (8/5): Family vacation (spring break) - The place was excellent for our family vacation trip. We stayed Sunday to Wednesday and did not deal with the hectic holiday weekend. It is about 20-30 minutes away from Peñasco but that was only a problem when we wanted to go to a grocery store or felt like eating out. The beach is far better than the one I got to see Peñasco and the condo had everything you needed to make meals at “home”. They have staff that do up-keeping outside every day but it was hard to reach someone over the phone. There was a water pump issue that kept us without water a couple of times which was inconvenient because we had people left soapy mid shower. The issue was resolved but they should’ve communicated with the guest about the problem to avoid people getting caught off guard. One little negative was that the master restroom had a weird smell, maybe humidity? There’s really no ventilation in there. For the price, beach, and facilities, I thought it was excellent overall. Just need better communication and extra care in the rooms. Our kids ages 5-12 would have easily given it a 100% score, adults probably an 87% lol hope this helps!
