Guest Reviews
- Mrs H (10/5): - We loved staying at Clifton Cottage, hosts were friendly and helpful. Very comfortable rooms, stocked fridge, fabulous breakfast, safe parking and lovely and quiet.
- Brian (8/5): - Host were awesome! Dryed my shoes and did my laundry for a small charge and Breakfast was lovely. Room was clean and comfortable.
- Ben (10/5): Tyndrum’s gem - This was an absolute gem of a place. The owners were so thoughtful and provided just about every kind of tea, coffee, wagon wheels, tunics tea cakes and a cracking breakfast !
Room was compact but contained everything one needed when doing the west highland way and it is literally on route (about 6’ away).
So much nicer than the enormous campsite hippy hobbit house place and the saga-bus-holiday hotel.
- raymond (10/5): - Great location right on the west highland way. Upon arrival we were made extremely welcome and showed to our lovely large bedroom. The room was very clean and was very well stocked with beverage making facilities plus chocolate bars and cold drinks in the fridge. The twin beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. We were asked upon arrival what we would like for breakfast and what time we would like it. It was fair to say that it was a breakfast for champions. We started with a large bowl of steaming hot porridge, which was then followed by a large fry up with two of everything we had asked for. We also had the option of tea, coffee and orange juice plus fresh fruit. We cannot recommend Clifton house highly enough with it's friendly owners, great location and high standards of service.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Wonderful location and delightful hosts.
- Candace (10/5): Like staying with family - My sister and I both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hosts could not be sweeter! You seriously felt you were staying with family. Breakfast was amazing before we headed off. I would love to go there again. Highly recommend it.

- Joseph (10/5): - Friendly welcoming hosts, great room with free quality biscuits coffee/tea as well as a small fridge with an assortment of soft drinks. Great breakfast choice tailored to your preference, nothing was too much trouble with a garden full of bird life to keep you company while you eat. This B&B has the WHW running right past the front door and is a credit to the owners.

What made it special was everything was so well organised in the room... Had lovely coffees and teas, and everything seemed very well thought off. The hosts were wonderful and they provided us with everything we needed including a lovely breakfast.
If we are this way I would definitely stay at Clifton cottage.

The owners were very nice and welcoming.
On our last day they got up early to make us breakfast and say goodbye. They even offered to make us sandwiches for our trip to London.
The house is a really nice cottage with a wonderful winter garden where you can watch all the birds during breakfast.
- remmelzwa (8/5): Stay at clifton cottage - We have had a great stay at clifton cottage. Nice room, gently people and good food.
- Roddy (8/5): Clean and comfortable, right on West Highland Way - Our hostess was very welcoming, our room well appointed and clean, with screens on the windows to keep out the swarms of midges (major plus point in this part of the world). Everything worked, plenty of tea, coffee and choc bars in the room, free wifi, TV. Excellent cooked breakfast. Overall really happy.
- Julie (10/5): Wonderful stay on West Highland Way - What a gem. We are doing the West Highland Way. The owner washed and dried our clothes. The room was amazing, spacious and clean. It is directly on the WHW so tbe location was brilliant. Breakfast was cooked to order. Owners are a lovely couple. Highly recommend.
- Kit (10/5): A comfortable place to stay - I stayed at several Guest Houses as I walked the West Highland Way. Not only is Clifton Cottage situated right on the trail, but the moment the hosts learned that I was walking the Way they immediately asked if I needed to do any laundry. That was such a thoughtful, generous response to my experience. I'd highly recommend Clifton Cottage to any traveler.
- John (10/5): Clifton Cottage on tht Highland way.e Wes - A very enjoyable stay. The proprietors went out of their way to make us feel welcome. My wife's needs for a gluten free diet were met perfectly.

- Steven (10/5): Home from home - Great spot with good Scottish/Italian hospitality. Hosts went out of their way to make us at home and no problem for a 05:30 fully cooked breakfast for an early start. Great value, highly recommended.

- Naftali (8/5): good option for West Highland Way backpackers - The place is a GREAT option for West Highland Way backpackers. Located just on the trail in a lovely town, with nearby restaurants and grocery shops. Owners were nice and welcoming.
- lynne (6/5): Excellent owners, - Owners working on providing the best, reasonably priced service possible.
Still a work in progress but recommend.
- Roy (6/5): - The owners were very helpful and friendly, however I felt like I was living in someones house, and not a B&B. Breakfast was in their kitchen. The shower would not maintain an even temperature.
- Caroline (10/5): A wonderful warm highland welcome. - Wonderful stay with hosts so friendly it felt like staying with family. Tam and Carmen just can't do enough for you.
- Anne-Marie (10/5): Clifton Cottage Tyndrum. A welcoming stay. - This would make a great stop
I'm the west highland way.
- Pat (6/5): Munro majic - Booked as within easy reach of several Munros. Actually walking around Crianlarich but just as convenient for Dallmally area, Glencoe or Killin
- Nathan (10/5): Great Get Away - Very quiet place to stay. Very friendly hosts who were more than happy to provide suggestions about the surrounding area or just to sit and chat.
- RAY (10/5): Friendly B&B Great Location for Scottish Highlands - The accommodation was first class with hospitable hosts . Centrally located to allow comfortable driving times to Loch Lomond, Fort William ( Ben nevis ) , Oban and lots of great walks in surrounding area . Tam and Carmen the owners of the B&B were knowledgeable and made us feel at home without being intrusive . A really friendly atmosphere that enhanced our holiday to a beautiful part of Scotland . Rooms were well appointed comfortable and clean. Good value with a hearty breakfast to kick off the day. Five stars from me..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice host, beautiful area, good starting point for tours ind the area.
- Leslie (10/5): Family Flavour - Tam and Carmen were very kind and gracious hosts. After a few wet days on the West highland way Carmen offered to do a bit of catch up laundry for us.
Tasty "to order" breakfast with a variety of cereals and beverages.
Staying at Clifton Cottage is like visiting family. Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect hosts!! - Unfortunately we only got to stay less than 6 hours but that was because we had broken down and didn't get there until 3am. We called throughout our journey and the hosts were nothing but completely generous, their only concern being that we were safe, assuring us that they would stay up and wait for us. After a 10 hour journey they were so lovely and offered us food, drinks and said that the room wasn't booked until much later the next day and so we were more than welcome to get as much sleep as we needed and check out later. The room was lovely and clean and just what we needed. Breakfast the next morning was also great! We really appreciated their hospitality and everything they did and would thoroughly recommend a stay here. Thanks again. Mel and Gav.
- Linda and Dunca (10/5): A really very nice bed and breakfast. - We really enjoyed our stay at Clifton Cottage. The owners Carmen and Tom were really welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. They made our stay as comfortable and homely as possible. They were really nice, friendly people and I would recommend there bed and breakfast to any one.
