Y lo mejor de todo, sin dudas, es la cercanía a maravillosas playas a minutos de caminata. Sin vuelvo a Pana, vuelvo.

La atención del dueño, incluso nos iba a hacer café a las 5:30am que íbamos de salida, super atento. Que solo me quede una noche, me hubiera quedado mas tiempo en este hotel y aprovechar mas el lago. Pensamos regresar y volver a hospedarnos.

It is around 25 minutes walk from the city centre but I didn't mind that as I wanted to stay away from the noisy touristy crowds. There is a fridge that guests can use. There is no kitchen to cook your own food

El hostal queda como a 15 minutos caminando del centro, pero queda a 5 minutos del lago Atitlán, pude llegar super rápido y disfrutar de las vistas. Pasan tuc-tuc afrente del hostal. Todo super.

El agua salía sucia en el lava manos, el inodoro no funcionaba correctamente, las toallas eran viejas y luyidas, desde la entrada hasta los pasillos huelen a CIGARRO, estaba lleno de hormigas, de repente quitaban la presión del agua y el agua caliente.

I like that the owner kind of divided female traveller in a room from the male one Also every bed has its own curtain, it feels like you have your own bedroom, provided with bed light, plugs, towel and soap) I actually have 2 single beds for myself. The toilets are clean and the shower is hot and has good pressure (just wait 5 min for the hot water, because it doesn't come straight away). The hostel gives water, tea and coffee for free. But you can also have a really nice breakfast for a small price. Another thing they offer is a laundry service (I didn't use it, so I actually don't know a lot about it) The man who runs the place is very nice and polite.. The place is 27 min walking from the "muelle", I don't actually mind walking, but for someone it can be a bit of a problem. There isn't any kitchen, but I read that it would be a fridge for guests, but when I looked at it it was switched off.

• Vanessa (8/5): gute Wahl für einen Aufenthalt am Lago de Atitlán bei kleinem Preis - Insgesamt eine gute Wahl für recht kleinen Preis. Sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Besitzer. Schön war der Parkplatz, wie versprochen im Zimmerpreis mit drin, hinter einem schiebbaren Tor. Das konnte man so bedienen und somit einfach rein und raus, ohne jedes Mal das Personal holen zu müssen. Lage etwas abseits am Ort, Ortskern auf der anderen Flussseite. Panajachel selbst ist nicht so interessant, aber ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge um den Lago de Atitlán und nach Sololá und Chichicastenango. Die Toilette... wie bei den meisten Unterkünften in Guatemala Hinweis "kein Papier rein". Das hatten aber wohl Generationen vorheriger Zimmerbewohner schon getan, viel ging da nicht runter und spontan schon gar nicht. Straße vor und seitlich vom Hotel mitunter recht laut. (Einfachste Anreise zum Hotel, hotelseits des Flusses, im Moment des Aufenthalts wegen Baustelle unpassierbar, Hotel daher etwas tricky zu finden : Ortskern und davon südlich Brücke. - Hinweis außer Konkurrenz, kann das Hotel nichts dafür)

• Libby (9/5): Great price and value, I'd definitely stay again! Recommended if someone isn't seeking very Central - The place was very clean and private. I technically shared a room but no one was there so I had the floor to myself which was wonderful. There were curtains to separate people from the other which is more than the usual shared dorms, and I even got two beds. Basic toiletries were provided too. There was no breakfast included which was fine, (affordable options were available for those who wanted to buy in the location downstairs) but a little more something to make /heat up my own food would have been appreciated. There was free coffee and hot water though which was nice. The location was also quite out of the way.

• Alexandra (10/5): Hotel El Sol should get an 11! Maravilla! - Can I give El Sol an 11? Seriously, this hotel is ne plus ultra. The host is very friendly and helpful. Exceptionally clean, new building, windows everywhere. free coffee and tea, very comfortable beds in hostel, with walls and curtains for privacy. A very hot shower with good water pressure. Beautiful decor, indoor seating. Large lockers. I was the only guest in the hostel during my stay, and it was fantastic! That I had to leave this idyllic place! But I wish the restaurant were open, but it is low season, and there are shops and restaurants a short walk away, as Hotel El Sol is on the main road into Pana.

• Jo (9/5): A nice, clean and quiet place away from the main town but it is walkable. - Very clean, and quiet as it is out of the main town but less than 10 mins walk from the lake. I slept in the dorm and it was a good, comfortable experience. The staff are friendly and keep the place spotless. 24 hour security cameras, secure parking available. Breakfast and lunch are available at extra very reasonable prices. Free tea and coffee is provided but the kitchen is currently unavailable to guests.

Located on the quieter side of town, this hotel is about 1.5 miles from the Embarcadero for San Pedro and San Juan. Laundry services are available for a reasonable price. Breakfast is also available for various options.
• Orestes (10/5): Exceptional - Rooms was ample and clean. Good bed, excellent shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. The place is safe and is about a 15 minute walk to town, (or, if you prefer to take a Tuc-Tuc , it only costs $0.66 (5 quetzales.) to/from town.

Hotel is nice, clean, has security cameras, bed was confortable, service is absolutely great, they provide towels & toiletries, coffee in the morning, not to close from the main street but very affordable plus has parking.
• Goldenchild (10/5): Exceptional - Spotlessly clean and a beautiful place to stay. The owner himself takes care of the guests well. It's a little far from the centre but that was I was looking for. The hotel has a private parking space, which makes it ideal for guests travelling by car. I definitely recommend this hotel.
