Guest Reviews
- Alan (4/5): - Property was closed on day of arrival. Expedia were fantastic in sorting out other accommodation.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a roomy cabin on deck which had a comfortable double bed. Our hosts were very welcoming and we had a great breakfast the following morning, cooked by Dave. The marine is nice and quiet. Wouldn't hesitate in staying there again
- Bernd (8/5): - intersesting and different place to stay to explore the surrounding area
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Dave and Rosie are lovely people. Quite excentric, but lovely. Facilities are basic but adequate. Next time, because i'm sure there will be a next time, we are going to try Rosies home cooked Thia food, as it sounds amazing. The vessel is a retired deep sea fishing trawler and the facilities reflect this. Floors are uneven cabins are small but the beds are comfortable. The whole place is quirky but fun. Looking forward to our next visit. Its a little gem.
- A (10/5): Welcoming and enjoyable - If you fancy something a bit different give this a go! Great fun! Hosts are very helpful and welcoming. Avery interesting old boat, qwerkie but comfortable
- Sharon (10/5): - Dave & Rosie were great hosts room was clean bed was comfortable Liked that you could check in at 12 & check out at 12
- Angela (8/5): A quirky stay - Fantastic hospitality on this fab weeboat. A bit different! :) Super breakfast!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quirky experience - Great fish and chips ice cream and a walk topped off with a beer.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Thai dinner highly recommended - This was a great place to stay en route to Holy Isle. Very peaceful in the marina, and I highly recommend that you take up the offer of a home cooked Thai dinner. Delicious and excellent value!
- Mark (8/5): Fun experience - We had a great time. From the first walk out down the jetty surrounded by fancy boats with the big jellyfish in the water, to the climb onto the boat. David and Rosie were very friendly and attentive, full of information about the local area and abroad. If you are tall you need to watch your head and the downstairs toilet smells a wee bit. It is close to a nice restaurant and to prestwick airport. Look forward to staying again.
- Al (8/5): Aye aye captain! - Clean facilities and friendly helpful people, kindly gave me a lift to a wedding I attended. Need to go back and sample some of the authentic Thai cooking. Recommended.
- kaz (10/5): Always wanted to stay on a boat in a harbour - Rosie and Dave are extremely welcoming and friendly, cuppa on arrival, lots of information. They even looked after our dog when we went out to eat. Although regretted not taking them up on the Thai evening meal options. Wonderful cooked breakfast and pineapple yummy. They even made scrambled eggs with sausages for our dog. A real home from home, with the quirkiness of a boat. Only regret was that we had not booked for longer
- Brian (4/5): QUIRKY PLACE NOT FOR EVERYONE - Staying on a boat was different to say the least - not everyone could even get on board due to steep access down to pontoon, steep (homemade) steps up to boat and gap to step over onto boat - steps on board down to below deck rooms very steep. Bed was comfortable if a bit hard and unfortunately the room I stayed in had bathroom behind it and residents lounge to side so it was a noisy room. However the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Rosie & Dave are a lovely couple and very welcoming but it's not somewhere for kids or the elderly / infirm.
