Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and big! Very comfortable. I always stay here when tis available.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do not stay here - The bed broke i fell through it no one has gotten back to me and pretty sure there are bed bugs! It looked ok but it is not
- Verified traveler (2/5): Document Boomer..... - I wasn't able to stay Because of difficulty reading my ID and credit card...... !!!! But it was easy to deduct from my account !
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was an amazing stay. Blown away by the experience of staying here.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bed was terrible and shared kitchen which is not specified .
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Okay, other tenants in the apartment were very loud and rude didn’t think about or consider that they were others staying there as well. Another negative was parking a lot of the residents had multiple cars which took away from the rest of the tenants haven MF to find parking blocks down the street.
- Irshadhusain (6/5): Not happen with service - It’s have great out look and nice parking place but no toiletry kit as given in booking not good comunication system not family friendly with a guest and bed was broken can even sleep properly in house 211 Rome 3 one bed lag is broken
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not what I expected - Place was cute but wasn't the cleanest. Nothing felt fresh. Also, when my friend and I stayed here we didn't realize wed be sharing this place with strangers and when we checked in late after hours of driving expecting to get a good nights sleep we walked into a mini frat party with a trashed kitchen and at least 6 or 7 foreign guys wasted hanging outside the door and all about the apartment. Seeing how it was just me and my friend who's also a girl this was very uncomfortable since they wouldn't let us be. Not only were they loud till about 2 in the morning but they kept hollaring at us to come over every time we'd leave our bedroom to use the bathroom or anything. Luckily our room had a key code otherwise I never would have stayed. Though I'm sure had it not been for the other peoome staying there I'm sure my experience would have been a lot more enjoyable.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Would never stay there again. This is not a hotel, its a three bed room town house and each room is a separate unit/renting unit. Stayed there for three days and share with five different guests. No. Location is not that great either.
- MUHAMMAD (10/5): Excellent value for Money - If you are traveling with family or a couple, this is the place to stay.. Self contained apartment with all facilities and in a quiet residential neighborhood
- adam (2/5): - Nowhere in the description did it say that we would be sharing an apartment with strangers! Plus our toilet did not have a pin code lock so other guests used our toilet that was only ment for our room. Discussing!! Beware people!
- Faith (2/5): Rather book 1-star motel than this place - Being a loyal customer to Expedia I'm really disappointed with Expedia and it's definitely not a 3-Star. Bed is so uncomfortable and I'm having severe backache sleeping on it the very first night of stay; in addition to that the air conditioner wasn't working in the room at all on 2&3 day so had to keep the doors open for ventilation, bathrooms didn't have bath floor mats, no tissues, soap, shampoo etc, bath towels aren't clean, room doesn't have temp control nor fan in this hot weather, no room service, only one toilet roll and a towel was provided for the entire duration of the stay, no dustbins in the room, no iron board nor clothes iron provided, room floor not clean and dirt in the closet, very compact room, bedsheet and blankets not neat or iron for cleanliness, very noisy and again if you get room downstairs then be prepared for sleepless nights coz of constant movement sounds from folks staying upstairs. overall not a good deal for the price and ratings.
- Verified traveler (6/5): just okay place - We didn't know how to check out, there was no receptionist we could talk to or contact info for the hotel. So if we had questions we didn't know who to ask. Also asking for the ID over email was a little weird. And the bathroom under the sink was still dirty a little. Other then that the stay was great
- Verified traveler (8/5): Decent, but pricy. No TV in room - Very clean, parking space very limited. Very expensive.
- Faith (8/5): Apartment style hotel - In a quiet, residential neighborhood
Apartment style - has kitchen, spacious living room, bathroom
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst!!! - Don't reserve this! It was worst stay ever! they upload wrong picture and location. They will change your place right before check in time and says, "it's same the one you reserved is full". However, it's totally different!! the one you see on the site is 20th, but they will give you 70'th old house. No clean blanket, towel, and security. window shade has hole, bed and pillows sheets aren't washed. They would never refund your first day. It's much much better if you spent $ 20~30 bucks more to find another places!!!
- Taurus (2/5): Dump - When I was driving up to the hotel I could tell from the neighborhood that this place was substandard. I went in to check out the facilities and decided I couldn't stay. I call the hotel customer service and informed them that I wouldn't be staying and they said I would receive a partial refund and I was fine with that. I called the holiday inn Hollywood walk of fame and booked a room and that is where I stayed but that facility is a DUMP in my opinion. I'm waiting for my refund and that is all I have to say on the matter.
- Verified traveler (6/5): You want your privacy and space? This is the place - The room its self was good. The bathroom was spacious, the beds were nice and big, but the sheets didn't look like they were very clean. the room was a little warm in the evening. The air conditioning was on, however not high enough.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There is no parking space I have a bad experience in Los Angeles I park outside and I have the tickets for a $90 this place is the worst
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice clean modern place - Nice clean place to stay and quite spacious. Other people sharing apartment very noisy always around 10.30pm till 12am then again at 5am. Nothing to do apart from sleep so fine if it's just for a bed for night or 2.
- Anchaya (2/5): NO TP, NO SHEETS, NO REFUND! - DO NOT STAY HERE. I never write reviews and believe you get what you pay for, but my experience here was so horrible that I need to share. We booked this for a last minute crash pad for an unexpected overnight stay. Upon entering, we found the room marked #9 and were able to use our code to get in. However, our bathroom across the hall (also marked #9) was locked with no way to get in. We called management and they promised someone would come out to open it. I really had to go, so we desperately left to find a restaurant or something. Upon returning, we found that someone had indeed unlocked the door, but there was NO TOILET PAPER and not even a bar of soap to use. Clearly the management didn't care at all. It was late and I was tired, so we cut our losses and went to sleep on the cheap mattress WITH NO SHEETS. We were awakened the next day by loud banging from upstairs and loud voices in the kitchen (possibly other guests?) When they left, we got our things and got out of there as fast as we could. This place is downright awful. I reached out for a refund or at least an apology, but they refused to do anything. Please believe me when I say this isn't worth it. Do NOT waste your money here. It's absolutely unacceptable.
- William (4/5): Somethings Missing - My disappointment comes from the items that were not present in our room. Beds: one mattress on the floor basically I am a tall guy so climbing down to the floor isn't my idea fo comfort. No chair so I am on the too low bed for everything. No TV.
Bath/shower extremely slick. Shared areas were clean
- Dung (2/5): - This is not a good experience ever. They didn't do what they are supposed to do in the contract that they sent to me. They didn't let me drop off my luggages even though I had let them know in advance. They tried to explain that they didn't receive any messages from me. I called them many times to find the way out but they are so irresponsible. They asked us to wait outside 3 hours until the manager can go back and pick up our luggages. I have nothing to say. I called hotels.com to cancel my stay here but no representatives are available to help me. I have to book a new room in another hotel but I cannot get any refund from my cancellation. Such a bad experience than ever
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice apartment - Very clean and new apartments. Not many things in the kitchen but what you needed
- Mark (6/5): A little confusing. - Everything is done online. They give you a pin to get in to everything. Don't care for the shared bathroom idea. The wall Are very thin so you can hear people talking and walking around. No Tv and no control of the AC/heater
- Vasant (2/5): - No power in outlets or soap in shower
- Verified traveler (4/5): hurt myself in the bath tub - I stayed at one of your apartment in LA 213 south hoover dr room #7, on February 08 thru February 10th 2017, everything was great, everything was very clean and , spacious, but your bath tub was very slippery, I slipped once and bruised my whole back, I still have dark bruise on my back, I can provide a picture of it as well, my 3 year old son also slipped 2 times, luckily I held him so he didn't get hurt, I wish you had some kind non slippery matt in the tub. just wanted to let you know so other renters don't fall and get bruises or break their arm or leg.
- joseph (2/5): - It was the most unpleasant stay ever!!! It was a collage dorm room with no TV and no bathroom/shower. You had to share all with other 5-10 people. I could not stay and asked for refund but was refused. It's a scum!! BEWARE !!!!!
- Arin E (2/5): A joke but not funny - No toiletries, paper thin walls and ceiling, cold and no individual thermostat, lied about having private bathroom, cheap, uncomfortable mattresses, missing bedsheets, no tv, in the hood, no front desk or easy way to reach management. One of the worst stays of my life.
- Ravinder (6/5): Few parking spaces available and poor wifi - The room felt a bit dirty and there was limited parking in the back. We ultimately parked on the street which took a while to find a space as well. The wifi was very slow and would not work at times. For one night it was ok.
- Vanessa (2/5): I left early - I blame myself partially for not screening this place a little more and/or asking questions. It sounded reasonably priced for an "apartment" rental. However, the description conveniently was NOT forthcoming with the fact that it is a SHARED apartment, 3 rooms in a unit. The description says that there are 12 "apartments" at the site. But "apartments" means rooms, and there are 3 rooms in each apartment/unit.
When I arrived, I wanted nothing more than to get warm and take a shower. Unfortunately, there was no thermostat in the unit, despite what the coordinator told me over the phone when I called to inquire about this. I would need to request that the housekeeper/manager come to adjust the heat he eventually told me. Then, upon entering the bathroom/shower room, I found a dirty towel in front of the shower, hair and spots on the obviously uncleaned floor, and no 'toiletries', as had been mentioned in the booking description.
The highlight of this trip was the visit by the apartment manager, who was actually helpful and understanding of my concerns. However, despite his assistance, I basically did not stay here at all, and requested a refund for at least my second out of two nights, which was granted.
Lesson learned---inquire about any unclear aspects of an "apartment" description when booking a non-hotel option!!
- Ronaldo (6/5): Convenient to everything - Booked fo 4 person in 3 nights but only provide 2 towels, went out to buy towel and bathroom tissue, 3rd night smoke alarm keeps beeping all night, otherwise nice place to stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): nice place to stay - it was a great experience staying on this place where it's pretty close to anywhere from theme parks, food stop, freeways and to hollywood blvd. the place has its own kitchen with utensils to use, the fridge is huge, and you can cook as well. The neighborhood is good, safe and quiet. We'll surely be back to this place when in LA...
- Luis (6/5): OWNER MOST DO FEW THINGS TO IMPROVE - Good experience, rooms are new and very clean, IMPORTANT. !! The construction is new and it helps, with few improvements the place will get better.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Went to LA for a couple of days - Nice place, brand new facilities, the staff only has to work a little harder and be more efficient
- willie (2/5): don't bother too difficult/unsanitary - HARD TO REACH PROPERTY OFFICE IF YOU HAVE LATE CHECK IN. GET NO ANSWER/LOCKED OUT. we lucked up and a guy that works there was checking on things.after 30 min of trying to explain that we should be staying there for the night and him letting us in eventually. was no wash rags and there was hair everywhere in the room. the sheets had stains on them.one cover for the bed. no soap or shampoo. we slept fully clothed. This property was a waste of time and you can find a hotel with actual front office service at the same if not better price. my kids were not comfortable sleeping on top or under the covers. 12/21/16
- Trenton (10/5): Nice hotel with good location - Great hotel. Got a great deal and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Anthony (10/5): Convenient & Pleasantly Surprising - Very easy and convenient booking at this location. around check in time I was sent all info i needed for stay such as codes, and policies. In an okay neighborhood with a interesting nightlife. Definitely will be on my options list the next time i'm in California
- Keyontyli (10/5): LOVED IT!! - It's was very nice and great price, and the set was creative and different, I liked that most.
- Ezra (4/5): Perfectly Substandard - Its basically a hostel. Wouldn't be half as bad if they hired MUCH BETTER house keepers. We arrived to excrement in the toilet and nasty objects on the wall next to the bed. Not to mention the hair EVERYWHERE!! You'll have to hope you get respectful housemates especially if you're downstairs.
- Priscilla (8/5): Great for price - My stay overall was great. Only thing that had me off guard was that there was no hotel staff on site. For a solo traveler it can be a bit off putting. Other than that everything else was great. Price, cleanliness, location. Great for groups.
- Cecilia (4/5): - Well it was cheap, but only because it was in the most ghetto neighborhood ever. Homeless people everywhere not safe at all. You basically paid for a room in a house shared by other guest , there's no privacy really. Property keeper is rude.
- Ivan (2/5): This is not a 3 star hotel! - This hotel misleads it customers into thinking there are staying at an actual 3 star hotel. This is an apartment building that was converted into a hotel among other apartment building in a questionable neighborhood. You must drive up through a disgusting alley to drive into a narrow parking lot where you can barely back out off. The neighborhood scarred my girlfriend but it was too late to cancel plus there is a $30 cancellation fee. I was nervous about leaving my car there and there was neighbor outside playing loud music an being loud. Someone was working on a car at nigh and kept dropping tools. The is no staff on site. The inside of the apartment looks nice but when I walked into the room we found a personal towel that appeared to have been left behind by the previous occupants. The bed squeaked and the mattress was so cheap I sunk in. There is no television. or carbon monoxide detector had been removed. Heating and cooling is centrally controlled in the hall so controlled all rooms. There is no sound barrier between room so you can literally hear people fart in the room adjacent to us.
- Samuel (8/5): peaceful like having your own place - comfortable bed could be of better quality. too soft.
- Verified traveler (4/5): very disappointed - Not what I expected at all very disappointed it wasn't even a hotel or motel, no tv, no parking, i gad to park my brand new luxury car 4 blocks away in a very bad area and it was very expensive . it's in an apartment building, I'm disappointed at hotel.com because it was in the app
- Sean (8/5): Overall good enough - Room was clean. No smells from dirty carpets since it has wooden floor everywhere. Bathroom was clean too. Bed was ok but mattres was not even. It seems to be on a slight slope. Parking was free.
Unlike the description there was no toiletaries. Towel was missing in one of the roms our group stayed and you didn't get towels every day. Attempting to contact them resulted no response.
- Russell (8/5): Nice, no frills hotel - No tv, front desk, or daily cleaning service.... All contact done through social media which is the way of the future..price was incredible for the area!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do Not Stay Here - Didn't even spend the night because did not feel safe. Had to pay for another room. Expedia needs to remove this from list.
- Timo (8/5): Nice Apartment - The apartment was in a good and clean condition. There are three apartments per house that share a big kitchen. However, there is only one control panel for all air conditionings in the house, so if you're unlucky someone else changes it constantly.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room is a condo shared with two other rooms. The interior is newly remodeled but bare. No towels or even soap to wash your hands.
