• Bordelon (7/5): Still searching for a good adults-only resort in Cabo - Checkin was frictionless, which can often be a source of irritation after traveling hours to arrive. No issues on that front. Checkout was slower but simple. Staff is very helpful across the board. There's only one restaurant available for breakfast but that have a very wide array of options. This can't be resolved without tearing down the building and starting over, but the layout was highly frustrating. Just navigating between the room and restaurants often entailed more than one elevator and lots of guesswork to figure out where the restaurants are. Some of the signage was either wrong or confusing. One of the staff even claimed we could take an elevator to the 2nd floor to reach a restaurant, yet the elevator only went to the 3rd floor. Not enough separation for the adults-only pool -- the kids pool overlooks the adults area, and kids would simply hang over the edge of their pool and scream at the top of their lungs. The evening vibe was mostly non-existent. Most bars were empty or only had 4-6 patrons each night. We might be on the older side of their typical guests, but we're not DEAD. It was quiet as a morgue most nights.

This is not the place for you for those that don’t mind spoiling themselves and their families and giving them a 10 star experience I highly recommend it. I’m a huge fan of this franchise. I visited Nuevo Vallarta Cabo San Lucas and looking forward to going to Cancun to visit the other resort.

I had to constantly ask to find my server and nobody would come to ask us what we wanted to eat/drink. I had to go to the bar to get my drinks myself because the server was nowhere to be found BOTH days. You go to cabo to enjoy the poolside service and there literally was none. When I arrived my family of 6 went up and down several times in the heat looking for the private car we reserved in advance. My dad is handicapped and the vehicle wasn't ready for us. I was told to look for a sign, there was none. When your paying $440 for car service you expect a little more. Lastly I booked a photography session with a “professional photographer” who appeared to be a staff member with a point and shoot camera. Overall disappointed I couldn't purchase more photos because they simply weren’t good.

• Harley (10/5): - This is a beautiful hotel, grounds, and numerous restaurants. We had a huge 2000sqft room with windows with sliding doors on two sides of the room. In room hot tub and a plunge pool on the deck. Beautiful sunrise views. The shower was massive, overhead, 3wall jets, and a wand. It was so nice I didn’t want to get out. There are 5 huge infinity pools and hot tub on the grounds. I loved this place and didn’t want to leave! We are vegan. Very little on the menu for the many really nice restaurants. This was a little stressful, but they made custom dishes for us, and we ate well. The many activities in the area will pick u up at the hotel lobby. We even saw whales from our room in May, which is rare.
• Juan (10/5): Beyond Expectations – A Perfect Stay at Grand Vela - My recent stay at Grand Velas was a bit of a splurge—but absolutely worth it. From start to finish, the experience exceeded expectations in every way. A huge thank you to Claudia, our personal concierge, who went above and beyond to ensure our anniversary trip was both memorable and joyful. Her attentiveness and warmth truly made a difference. The service overall was exceptional. Every staff member—from the bellman to housekeeping to the pool attendants—was professional, friendly, and eager to help. It’s clear that service is a top priority here. The resort itself is stunning. The adults-only infinity pool was a serene oasis, and the gym facilities were top-notch. And the food—just wow. Every meal was outstanding, but a special shoutout goes to Cocina de Autor. As a Michelin-starred restaurant, my expectations were high, but the chef delivered a world-class experience that rivaled (and in some cases surpassed) other star-rated restaurants I’ve visited. Thank you to everyone at Grand Velas for an unforgettable stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Our concierge was attentive to any needs, especially coordinating a whale watching tour on short notice. The DJ played our favorite songs and provided excellent service as well. Overall, we were very happy with our stay at Grand Velas. We highly recommend booking Grand Velas Los Cabo’s. The whale watching tour was amazing!
• Amanda (10/5): - If I could give this property more stars, I would. We travel extensively, and this has become one of the most professional, customer-oriented, high-quality resorts we've been to. I've been there twice now, and it has improved even from 2 years ago. It is challenging to find an all-inclusive that does not consistently try to upsell products and services, but Grand Velas does not do that. In addition, I have found recently that it is tough to find a hotel or resort where employees seem happy to be there and who are exceedingly customer-focused - Grand Velas has managed to find the margic combination and I cannot wait to return.

The grill and the churros and ice cream and the coffee bar were all fun choices. The disappointing food was breakfast and lunch buffet at Azul which was bland and not up to the dining standards of the other restaurants. The hotel was all inclusive which is so nice. We were told tips were included but every check had a section to add more. Not knowing how much of the all inclusive went to the tips - it was hard to know how much more to add. Felt like many of the staff were hoping for more. Seems like when we’re spending that much money - we shouldn’t have to think about adding more tips. That would be my biggest complaint. The other annoying thing is that I asked for healthy snacks in the mini bar and I was told they would get back to me - but never did. Other than that - it really is a special place.

The buffet restaurant, Frida and Lucca restaurants were excellent food and service (portions could be a bit bigger, but the resort is all-inclusive so you can always order more). We had a problem with musty odor in one of our rooms which despite staff trying to replace/clean a carpet, did not abate. It limited our ability to use the room, which was part of a two-bedroom ambassador suite we reserved. On that note, the 2-BR suite is not really a suite. It is two adjoining rooms. The listing on Expedia also indicated a "plunge pool" (in two places on the listing), which is not part of this room class. I pointed that out to management as it is essentially false advertising. The management offered us a concession on a future stay and we would happily stay there again, but I think the ambassador 2-BR family suite is not advertised correctly. The pools are beautiful and there are nice amenities like a kids club, teen club, ping pong, etc. The beach at the resort is not swimmable but excursions from Cabo are easily arranged through 3rd parties and it only takes about 20 minutes to get to the marina, where there is also a public beach easily accessible. All in all, we'd happily stay there again, and anticipate the management will honor their commitment to remediating the inconvenience we experienced with the room issue. Thanks!

• Hayley (10/5): Amazing kid-friendly all-inclusive resort in Cabo! - Resort was beautiful, staff was very helpful and friendly, dinner restaurants were exceptional and we loved the breakfast as well, so many kid-friendly activities/amenities, bed was comfortable and loved the blackout curtains, beautiful views. The resort felt very safe and the service was unmatched! Lunch restaurant timing was not ideal for us with a toddler - it didn't open until noon and that's when she had to take a nap, so the first day she didn't get lunch in time for her nap. The following day we ordered kids breakfast room service ahead of time to be delivered at 11:30 so she could eat first. Alcoholic drinks weren't poured very strong - had to ask for extra which is fine.

The only thing is that although it says tips included, they still seem to be very much expected. Take extra cash and be prepared to add tips at the restuarants.

• Eric (2/5): - The property was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. BUT, the hotel wrongfully overcharged us. We pre-paid our rooms through Expedia, and when we showed up at check-in, the hotel claimed that we owed an additional $864 because two of our children were over the age of 3. We were a party of 6. 2 adults and 4 children ages 17, 16, 13 and 11, all of which was entered with Expedia at booking. When we disputed at check-in that we owed any additional money over what we pre-paid, they told us they were dropping the issue. Then we noticed on our final bill, that the hotel did not drop it, but wrongfully charged us the $864. Expedia eventually refunded us the wrongfully charged amounts, but the hotel charging us under these circumstances was absolutely not appropriate. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING AT THIS PROPERTY. WE WERE NOT TREATED ETHICALLY BY THE MONEY PEOPLE THERE. This is a shame as the staff at the resort were otherwise very friendly and helpful people.

• Anthony (10/5): - If you want to have a beautiful relaxing experience and feel completely catered to the entire time, then book an all inclusive package at Grand Velas. All of the dining options are incredible, and a personal concierge assigned to you the moment you arrive. Turn-down service, and don’t even get me started about the spa. We booked an aromatherapy massage that was incredible. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed.

Every staff member at the Property delivered exceptional customer service. Money well spent. Will definitely book again.

Martha and everyone at the kids club took care of jack and Harry so much and it was the first time they asked and begged to go to kids club. Can’t wait to go back. Also Izzy at the pool service was outstanding. She even gave us a little present when we were leaving. 5 plus stars for us!!

• Stuart (10/5): Trip of a lifetime - This is the best hotel we've ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious and have every amenity you could want (there was a hot tub and plunge pool in ours). The swimming pools are unreal and the quality of the food and drinks second to none (there wasn't a meal we had that I wouldn't have paid for in a restaurant). The thing that sets this place apart though is the service. We had our own concierge (Natalia) and she was the best thing about our stay. There was nothing that was too much for her to do and she was a really useful source of information on transport/excursions etc. Natalia also arranged all our dinner reservations and was a real point of difference for our stay. Taxis are pricey from the hotel so Uber is a great resource (it's much cheaper). The beach isn't swimmable at the hotel and you can't walk to the nearest one. Having said that the pools at the hotel are so good that you won't really want to leave.

• Brooke (10/5): AH-MAZING - Ummmm three words - ABSOLUTELY FREAKING FANTASTIC. I can’t say enough about this place. The food (A+++), the service (A+++), the pool/facilities/rooms (A+++), the activities for my 9 and 11 year old (A+++). I will usually never choose an all inclusive bc I think terrible food, etc. This was AMAZING! Start to finish hands down, do yourself a favor and book it. Highly recommend for families.
• Matthew (10/5): Lovely Piece of Paradise - Grand Velas is only hotel that I stayed again the following year. It is wonderful. Top notch fine dining. The service and attention to detail was superb. Highly recommend.
