- medvezh08 (10/5): Busy and comfortable in Abu-Dabi - Modern and comfortable hotel to stay for business or as a couple close to the center of Abu-Dabi. Good breakfast, nice parks to walk nearby, a little bit far from the skyscrapers and Palace but not too far - 40 minutes walk alongside the seashore.
- SunshineYell0w (8/5): Wonderful stay - This is a very nice hotel with spacious bedrooms. Staff were helpful and attentive. They have a good restaurant and meals are reasonably priced. As part of Etihad Airlines’ Abu Dhabi holiday offer, the 2-night stay at this hotel was free, can you believe that? And check in/check out is flexible depending on flight schedule.
- Robert (8/5): - There are many hotels like this one in downtown AD that offer reasonable prices and clean, safe accomodation. I have stayed at a few of them and found this one to be middle of the pack. We were here for a trade show, so aside from sleeping and breakfast our group did not spend time at the hotel, aside from some short meetings in the evening. For this purpose, the hotel is a good choice.

The hall way on the way to room smelt of damp. The shower door was designed by a monkey. It would only open 30% due to the toliet seat proxmity. But other than that it was ok
- Mahmoud (8/5): - If you book this hotel using Expedia be sure in advance that your booking has been received by the hotel. The staff did there best to help us because my reservation was not submited to them properly but in an hour or two the issue was solved and everyone was happy.

And then, I called a week prior to hotel reservation for a late check out but they still kicked us out. The hotel is very hard to find on google maps, or waze. When ordering food, delivery guys cannot also find the hotel.

The hotel is located in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Our room was clean, bright and spacious. Loved the gym and the wonderful outdoor rooftop pool. But we were most impressed by the staff at this hotel. Among the service personnel, we would like to highly note and express our gratitude to the receptionists: Wissal, Renz, Marifel, and Rashan for their friendly, caring, courteous and very professional approach to the client, as well as concierge Musthafa for his attentiveness, diligence, and housekeepers Yubaraj, Mohd Arif, Kapill Kumar, and Sadar for their hard work, responsiveness and accuracy. We would also like to sincerely thank the receptionist Haider, the Manager of Housekeeping Service Cerlouf and the electrician Ayoub for their quick response and professional work. - Walkingwombles (4/5): Safety and security issues - The staff are friendly, the hotel is in a reasonable location and the rooms are clean enough (if you ignore the stained carpets). It was Etihad-provided free stopover accommodation so I wasn’t expecting luxury and would have rated it a little higher had it not been for two issues that occurred on our last day, after check-out. I checked out with my young adult daughter at lunchtime but as our flight was not due to leave until 3am the following morning, I asked to leave our baggage until the evening. I was led to believe it would be stored securely but when we returned, it was in the hotel foyer and left completely unattended. Fortunately, nothing was missing but it certainly wasn’t secure. However, that wasn’t the worse of it. I asked the concierge to call a taxi to the airport for 11pm. I made it clear I needed to be able to pay by card (I had no cash). Despite a few available taxis passing the front of the hotel, I was told ours was delayed in traffic. When it arrived at about 11.15pm, it was a regular SUV - there was no taxi signage outside and no meter inside. I was unhappy that it was not a proper taxi as that was what I had expected. I asked how would I know what the fare was? I was told AED120. When arriving, I had paid AED86 so refused to pay this much. I said no more than AED90. We set off but after a few minutes, the driver turned off the main road and into a petrol station forecourt. He didn’t really speak English but appeared to be telling me to go and withdraw cash from the ATM. I was very alarmed at this point and there was no way I was going to leave my daughter or my luggage unattended with some random driver. We got out, removed our luggage and found a proper taxi. Lesson learned…I wish I had followed my instinct when he pulled up at the hotel and refused this private vehicle from the outset, particularly as I was told afterwards that private cars acting as taxis are illegal (it was definitely not a limousine service). Note: I contacted the hotel over two weeks ago about my concerns but have not received a response from them.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Timing issues! - This isn’t the first time I stay at the golden tulip and it was always a good stay. However this time, wasn’t very pleasant. First the AC kept working even though I put it off, and it read OFF on the screen. Second, the receptionist dialed my room number for a wake up call, that I did not ask for, at 6 am TWICE; first time they rang once and hang up (probably they weren’t sure about the number) then the second time few seconds after they called again til I picked up! But that wasn’t all, for some reason whoever is in charge of the WhatsApp business number seems to think it’s appropriate to send a WhatsApp message asking me to rate my stay at 5 am and then again at 6:06 am!

The room was somewhat clean, but the carpet could use a deep cleaning; the closet had a weird smell, not in a good way. I arrived from a very long flight earlier, at 12:30 p.m., but they asked me to wait until 2 p.m. so I could check-in. The Gym is good. The pool is on the roof, with no access to the elevator. You need to take the stairs for one and a half floors.

- zackiae2023 (8/5): Wonderful Service by Rayan - Hospitality 101 - What a stay it was, all thanks to the best receptionist we ever encountered Ryan! Eventhough it was late and after searching for more than 3 hotels to check in too, Ryan was kind enough to give us a fast and smooth check-in even with a smile and hospitable manner. He was also kind enough to upgrade us and consider giving us late check out. I really appreciate how he understood in giving us late check out, given we were exhausted at around 2-3am. Moreover, he even checked on us after settling down in the room. Now this was actually our second stay in the hotel and he has been by far the only one who had followed the hospitality standard so far out of all the staff in the hotel. Given the fact that I am a hotelier myself, I have noticed that majority of the staff do not follow the standard especially when it comes to answering phones. Either way, wonderful stay all thanks to Rayan. As we hôteliers say the first impression is the best impression, and due to that will definitely be coming back just to get checked in by Rayan.

- Relax41209128918 (2/5): I'm starting to think in what circumstances good review owners are sleeping. - We stayed at the hotel for 1 night only for our anniversary. As hoteliers ourselves, we would like to say that we are very understanding. We tried not to make any complaints during our stay just because of this reason. We did not want to be seen like we are seeking compensation. But receiving survey links through whatsapp 3 times is ridiculous. I will give the property exactly what they want to hear. (I doubt whoever is the head of Front Office cares at all about this property and who they hire nor supervise how these people act. But still.) First off, Wissal is working by force. No greeting, no smiling, face mask under the nose, im speaking to her in English yet she prefers to reply my questions in Arabic to my fiance completely ignoring my presence even when i made clear that i'm NOT an Arabic speaker. Second, we went up to the pool, there was no one to guide us where to go and we obviously didn't want to use what we thought of "fire exit" stairs like roaming around by ourselves. I had to pick up the recreation duty mobile and dial 0. I'm quoting exactly what the philipino lady from reception said; "ma'am i told you already 18th floor." I explained we are calling from the pool desk and she said "there is someone already ask them" i hanged up. Why would i call and ask from pool desk then??? She didn't mind to listen. Even in the lowest of low hotels you will NEVER see ANYONE speaking like this. She was sighing on phone. We went down, my fiance confessed that he requested for amenities during booking but it wasn't placed and apologized from me for something that is not his responsibility. When he approached Guest relations desk, (i'm assuming this long black haired Arabic speaker lady owns the property, she did not stood up, greet nor smiled at my fiance.) She told him that she will provide a cake while we are outside (HE CONFIRMED THE DELIVERY AND INFORMED HER THE ROOM IS ON DND) and that the towel art is chargable. In which hotel is towel art chargable? just assist the guest and make something simple, you clearly forgot our cake request and you are still bargaining. Do not get me wrong, the rate we got this night was literally free. We chose this hotel just because we had to go somewhere near by and we wanted to try since the rate is super low but oh boy. You can pay EVEN CHEAPER to the neighbouring hotels and feel literally at home. our case was not affordability to chose this hotel but all i can see is staff is the mirror of the prices. They have let go of this hotels roots and name. I saved the best part for last. When we went up to our room, i simply lost it. In between bed and the night stand, there is literal chips and rubbish from the previous guest and a FAKE EYELASH on the night stand. I really did not want to ruin my anniversary since my fiance went above and beyond to match our available days. I didn't want him to feel horrible because he was the one who chose this hotel. But what kept me awake was the huge handprint on that bed frame. I'm assuming it's some type of oil. I couldn't sleep straight untill 11am because i have to be stupid to not see what had happened in this room and how this room was sold at it's state. After this embarassment of an experience that this hotel staff made us go through, i would've shut the hotel and focus on my hobbies instead. This property will not do anyone any good outside of being a roof on top of the head if desperately needed.

When it came my turn, Jing was very efficient and friendly. Room: spacious and quiet Bellman: was very helpful and quick. Other than this we don't have much interaction with other staff and due to short stay we didn't use other facilities. Would love to stay again, should we travel back to Abu Dhabi.
- colline150 (4/5): One of my favorites but the rooms cleanliness is poor. Dont surprise your guest with additional charges on arrival. - The room was not clean properly, the carpets are dirty and with stain. There were only one towel and amenities although they charge extra for additional person which never happened with all hotels i visited. I understand if there is a third person but charging for the second person and there is nothing mentioned about it. It is not about the amount but rather the expectation just went down. But I appreciate Wissal from reception because she assisted us on our first visit here and took care of us. But they have cancelled my booking through Booking.com even though I arrived at the property.

- V5632CAmahmoudh (2/5): Symphony restaurant - Semphony Restaurant I have booked group on voucher for 2 person iftar and I reserved table through website hotel when I come the welcoming is very bad The treatment is very bad also they said it’s fully booked just wait if someone not come will give you table they treat us like animals all staff they have very rude attitude even the mangers they can’t solve the problem and restaurant isn’t fully booked as they said after 30 min they give us a table in the corner we start to eat then the local guest came they want us transfer to other table one lady come to me maybe she’s manger I don’t know how she asked to transfer to other table I told her I will transfer not for you for the guest she taking with very rude attitude. food is not tasty buffet isn’t same as they sharing on group on I did not advise anyone to come here very pour quality and This first & last time to come here

I asked for a non smoking room, they put me in a smoking room i couldn't breath. The duty manager came to my room knocking on my door at 3AM in the morning. I asked them to change my room they told me they r fully booked. They didnt give me a refund. Worst Hotel Ever

- julesh30 (8/5): Wissal the legend - above and beyond service - When I arrived there was an issue with me not having my physical ID. This was sorted very efficiently by Wissal who is an absolute legend. She will do everything within her power to address concerns. I wanted to enter the gym at 6am and it opens at 8am she also arranged for the gym to be opened at 6am for me. The room was nice and clean. The only poor point was the food, I ordered room service and the food was bland and tasteless. My second night I got a takeaway and took it back with me as the food was that poor!!
- Muhammad (2/5): - They don't allow more than 2 people to visit you like some sort of prison or COVID quarantine. They charge 35 AED per person for a person visiting you and keep their emirates ID/passport with them. Extremely rude staff. Never going there again.

Unfortunately i had a bad experience from hotel staff because the receptionist charge 25 dhs for my each guest. I book room for my self only and i had a visitor afternoon but they didn't informed me anything about the charge but the next day morning have 2 visitor then receptionist told me have to pay 75dhs for the each guest this was my first experience since 12 years in uae. I request her invoice for the extra payment 75 dhs but she refused and the way she talk very rude.
- Samer (10/5): Amazing - The staff were very friendly and responsive to every single issue ir request. They offered me an extra large suite for compensation of the shortage of Wi-Fi in the first night. I will definitely come back again
- Ellis (6/5): - Staff were very helpful and professional. A billing dispute was incurred at checkin but was promptly resolved. Staff took actions to ensure That I paid the quoted / confirmed price and a credit was promptly issued to my account for the overcharge. The staff helped me with phone issue (SIM card purchased not working), guidance on locations and were very prompt to assist with transportation. Food ordered from room service was plentiful and well done. Bed in room had spring that was dislodged, although bed was very large and this did not affect my sleep, if two persons were assign the room it would have been issue. Wi-Fi that ceased to function was not corrected until the following evening.

- Robert (10/5): Quick overnight in Abu Dhabi - I booked into the Golden Tulip for a quick overnight stay. It is positioned in the centre of Abu Dhabi, central for everything you may need. Check in (& out) was fast, no hanging around at all. I used the rooftop pool which was nice way to cool off in the heat of an October afternoon sun. The room was large & spacious, there was a microwave as well as kettle in the room. I would recommend this hotel & stay again in the future.

- Antonio (4/5): Rude Customer Service - I did late check in. I had to pay for 25 aed extra for having my friend to stay for a total of 30 min in the room as he had to collect something from me. Is funny how such things are small but can affect your whole experience. There is no receipt provided for that charge but received cash in hand of the guy.

So I have to spray all over the bed and chairs using my sanitizer just to be safe. + i was given late check out because i checked in around 8pm.

- bogdan (10/5): Excellent choice - My friends and I spent the thursday night in Abu Dhabi at this hotel and were not disappointed. First off all the staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful at every turn. The best of them all was the front desk girl who upgraded our 3 standard rooms to a suite, a junior suite and a diplomatic apartment. Moreover we asked for a late check out and she was so sweet to offer us check out at 2pm. This turned to be so nice and helpful as well spent the next morning hangover at the pool up to 1.30 pm. My junior suite room was very nice. Really big, with a zone for leisure with 2 couches, huge comfy bed with high quality bed linen and a big bathroom. No complaints about cleanliness either. The hotel has a caffeteria, restaurant and 24 hours rooms service. Although I did not use the rooms service I noticed the prices for food and alcohol are very competive. Therefore is also gym, massage, beauty centre and top floor pool. For sure we'll book againg this hotel for our next overnight if available.
