Cutlery for breakfast left out exposed on tray 24/7. Bathroom floor dusty on floor sides of toilet.

Our room was on the second floor, but that was okay cuz we're at that stage in life that we can climb up to the second floor. The breakfasts were the same everyday but the food was always hot. The bed was also comfortable and we had a great time. The only negative that is that they were terribly understaffed.

- Tania (3/5): How did they ever get good ratings?? - Wow. I don't know what happened to this place. The room was quite shabby with stained carpet, a big oil slick down the inside of the door, a shower head that dribbled rather than sprayed... On the good side, it was quiet, the bed was quite comfy, the room itself had plenty of space and was very clean and the location was fabulous. Where they really really feel short was in the breakfast. First, we waited over 45 minutes -- and asked 3 x -- for coffee at 9AM!! We also waited 20 minutes in the dining room to even be acknowledged and breakfast took well over an hour. This was everybody's experience and at the tables around us people were chatting about how they can't believe it got good ratings. Exactly the same both mornings. When breakfast did finally show up it was marginal at best. Think instant oatmeal dumped in a bowl and old red delicious apples marginal. Plus, the woman who I took as an owner never spoke with us. Absolutely no hospitality, no welcoming feeling. Just shortness.

The WIFI password on the poster in the room was written wrong, as well as times for breakfast. When we went to use towels for the hot springs, the basket was full of wet towels. We needed to take our room towels instead. I trired to call the numbers listed for assistance but no answer or call back about concerns.

But then again, I wasn't there for the parking.

I’m shocked after reading all the other reviews. It feels like we stayed at an entirely different place. Our room was half cleaned… clumps of hair on the carpet and terribly stained carpets. Most things in the room and bathroom were pretty shoddy, and the breakfast wasn’t any better than a motel continental breakfast, even though it was ‘served’. It was oddly difficult to open doors too; the back door into the place and the room door locks/handles could use replacements.

In our first room the bed was broken and the shower door was also broken, we asked for a new room, the manager was nice to allow us to change rooms, the second room was much better, but not 4 stars worthy, the bed frame had stains on it, as did the walls, the refrigerator was making noise all night. The carpets in the hallways were dirty.

The bed was comfy. When we arrived in our room there was an unpleasant smell but this seemed to dissipate quickly. The tap on our shower was really hard to turn and there didn't seem to be any indication of which was hot water. It would have been good to have hanging space rather than the drawers that were provided.
