• Gerard (9/5): Thank you. - Coffee Atelier provides an authentic insight into Old Town Penang. There are enough modern comforts and the staff are hospitable, friendly and helpful. The location is 100m from Love Lane and close to many areas of art and night life. As a first timer to Penang this location was ideal. Gerry I came with an open mind and learned a lot. • Monal Nagrath (10/5): Spectacular - Everything about the place was spectacular. A special shout out to the hosts Ruby and Judy for making our stay so comfortable. We took the ground floor and if you are experiencing a place like this, i would suggest go for the ground floor. Once you enter your room with that small little cute door, you are taken back in time with the decor and furniture. There is a small verandah with a place for you to have your coffee and chill and the washrooms are outside as well but we did not mind that. The whole set up makes you feel at home. The location is also perfect and is at a walking distance to all the amazing places for shopping dining and drinking. There is a spa around the place called coco spa which gave us a very good deal and was very professional. The breakfast is served in the coffee shop next door and while it's not a buffet but it's good and the again the host is super welcoming. In summary if you are in george town and want to experience culture and history, stay here Nothing to dislike honestly

Ma niesamowity klimat – połączenie historii, sztuki i zapachu kawy w samym centrum miasta. Budynek jest pięknie odrestaurowany, a pokoje mają duszę i charakter tradycyjnego domu w stylu chińskim. Lokalizacja nie mogłaby być lepsza – wszystko, co najciekawsze, jest dosłownie na wyciągnięcie ręki. Śniadanie było pyszne, z doskonałą kawą i świeżymi produktami. Obsługa zasługuje na ogromne słowa uznania – niezwykle życzliwi, pomocni i zawsze uśmiechnięci. Pomogą np. w wyszukaniu tańszego transportu gdyż w godzinach szczytu ceny Graba mogą być zawyżone. W budynku mieści się też galeria sztuki z pięknymi obrazami. Czułem się tam wyjątkowo, a całe otoczenie nadawało miejscu kolonialnego uroku. Jest to miejsce, do którego chce się wracać!

We were greeted by the amazing Rubi who looked after us so beautifully and immediately became a friend. The owner is also very kind and caring. The rooms are huge and have beautiful external bathrooms. They have all been decorated with original antiques. The beds were super comfortable. It is a great place to explore Penang from and is surrounded by great cafes,shops and places to eat. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back.

We arrived late so didn’t get up for breakfast, Rudy saved us a plate and gav - Right in the heart of old Georgetown Nothing l didn’t like but you have to bear in mind that this property is 100 years old and has its limitations and has been adapted in keeping with the building.

Clear informative instructions and insight into the local area and the whole island with maps provided. The property has a fantastic gallery selling local art and prints which was a wonderful surprise. Breakfast was also perfect and refined a refreshing change from huge buffet style portions! A wonderful stay all round. We stayed ground floor with beautiful plants and touches where the shower and toilet are kettle and fridge are also located there which is wonderful and quirky. If you want big standard contemporary fittings this is not for you ! Nothing it was perfect for us

Duże, wygodne łóżko, sejf. Apartament wygląda lepiej niż na zdjęciach. Bardzo miła obsługa. Proste ale bardzo dobre śniadania serwowane w restauracji „Christoph’s” ( do wyboru : herbata / kawa - bardzo dobra, jajka - na różne sposoby, sałatka ze świeżych owoców, sok, musli / jogurt ). Jeśli kiedyś wrócimy na Penang to na pewno do Coffee Atelier. Wymeldowanie do 11.00. Mogłoby być godzinę dłuższe. Ale w żadnym stopniu nie zmienia to doskonałej oceny obiektu.

• Jo (10/5): Excellent stay in central Georgetown - Really good size rooms. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of towels. Great to have access to water to top up drinks bottles anytime we needed. Judy was fantastic. She gave us a lot of useful info on arrival and helped us out with whatever we needed. A very central location and also very quiet. The courtyard was a real treat. The rooms are very elegant and the communal areas are lovely.

• Gary (10/5): A friendly welcome and a great place to stay. - The location was down a quiet street despite being very central. We were warmly greeted by Ruby with water and lots of information about local food options and best time to visit various sights. Nice little seating area at the front to relax. Despite being in a heritage building, it had all the facilities we needed and was spotlessly clean. Bathroom was unusual and very nice. The breakfast choice was limited compared to large hotels (juice / fruit / cereal / eggs / toast / hot drink), but it was all delicious and made to order and it was nice to be waited on for a change! It turns out I don't need to eat cake for breakfast! If you stay here, you will remember it long after you have forgotten other modern hotels you have visited. It felt like good value based on the location. It was not a problem for us, but the upstairs rooms are accessed by steep wooden stairs! (due to the nature of the property) So be warned if this will be a problem for you.

Es ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht, sehr sauber und top zentral gelegen. Wer mal ein Shophouse von innen erleben möchte ist hier genau richtig! Ruby ist sehr freundlich und beantwortet alle Fragen und hat praktische Tipps für Restaurants, Bars, Sehenswürdigkeiten und vieles mehr parat! Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und liebevoll zubereitet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden definitiv wieder kommen und jedem dieses Hotel empfehlen!

• Arthur (9/5): 大満足でした。 - 家族5人で一棟を利用しました。下の階が両親、上の階が私たち家族3人。古い歴史のある建物に宿泊できるので両親はとても喜んでいました。 下の階には小さな中庭があり母はそこでお茶を楽しんでいました。上の階は主寝室と、小さなシングルベッドの部屋があるので年齢の大きな子供と泊まるのに適しています。 朝ごはんは丁寧に作られた質の良い朝ごはんでした。特に色とりどりのフルーツサラダ、パンとパイナップルジャムが気に入りました。ゆっくりいただけて贅沢な時間でした。 スタッフもヘルプフルでなんでも質問に答えてくれました。ありがとう。また泊まりたいです。 家族で一棟使えたのでの良かったのですが、下の階の音などは響きました。

Man kann von dort aus die Altstadt wunderbar zu Fuß erkunden. Das Zimmer selbst ist super schön eingerichtet und perfekt sauber. Die Toilette im Hof hat überhaupt nicht gestört, alles ist überdacht, es fühlt sich einfach wie ein zusätzliches Zimmer an. Ruby und ihre Schwester, die das Hotel betreuen, sind unglaublich tolle Menschen. Sie standen uns jederzeit mit einem Lächeln zur Verfügung, hatten super Tipps für uns und waren einfach tolle Gastgeber. Vielen Dank!

• dowitagomes (7/5): É bonito mas pouco confortável - A localização é excelente permitindo ir a pé visitar o centro de George Town. A casa é muito característica e antiga. O quarto era grande. O pequeno almoço é adequado para os dias que passamos mas para quem passa muito tempo fica repetitivo, escolhe-se à carta há 2 opções para cada item (por exemplo ovo estrelado ou mexido, fruta ou iogurte...). O quarto era bastante espaçoso e até tinha 2 divisões para tinha uns quantos inconvenientes: - As janelas não eram tapadas pelo que mal amanhecia acordávamos e não conseguíamos dormir mais - A casa de banho era no pátio do quarto, pelo que tínhamos que o atravessar para ir ao WC e apesar de ter uma parte coberta como apanhamos várias tempestades acabávamos por nos molhar cada vez que queríamos ir a casa de banho ou simplesmente utilizar o lavatório. - No último dia pedimos para nos guardarem as bagagens e quando demos conta tinham-nas trocado de lugar, para além que tínhamos combinado fazer um check out tardio e quando chegamos já não pudemos utilizar o quarto.

It’s a beautiful, clean, authentic building. It’s centrally located in Chinatown, near Little India. We loved reading a book on the front porch. Definitely recommend!

• Steven (10/5): - What can we say about this place. Amazing staff and fantastic rooms. Large and spacious bedroom and bathroom. Really comfortable beds and good breakfast. Ruby the front of house manager was exceptional and could not do enough for us both and was really great at recommending places to visit. If you are staying in an upstairs room I would say stairs are steep and narrow. If you have no mobility issues then it is completely fine and no issue but be aware that if you do then this could be an issue. Nothing everything was exceptional
• Julia (10/5): Fantastic Hotel - It was a great opportunity to stay in this historic building. Our accommodation was spacious. We particularly enjoyed the courtyard bathroom. It was lovely to have seating at the back and front. The hotel was spotless and well appointed. Breakfast was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were given restaurant recommendations by the manager and all were very good. The hotel is in an excellent location but grabs are easy to get if you want to go further. Nothing.

• Linda (10/5): A quiet oasis close to the action - My husband and I stayed 5 nights at Coffee Atelier. Ruby and Judy were so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed; my husband bought a bottle of wine and had left it on the table. The next day we found two wine glasses in a box with “Enjoy” written on a note. We visited every one of Ruby’s recommendations and loved them all. We found a few gems ourselves too such as music at China House and a place called Awesome Massage in Little India. The beer shop around the corner is a must; very cheap alcohol where you can sit outside with all the locals and have a laugh. We even had a drone show one night courtesy of a new hotel opening. The position of the hotel could not be better, in a quiet street just around the corner from the action. The whole area is so clean and safe, and the people are so friendly and helpful. I’ve never felt more at ease in another country. The apartment is spacious and well designed. We loved sitting out in the courtyard, the bed and pillows were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. We loved our time here and would love to come back. Thank you so much Ruby and Judy. • Chris (10/5): Perfection - The building was beautiful and we loved relaxing in the private and secluded court yard garden. If we werent out and about we were there reading, chatting and enjoying a drink. The antique furniture was stunning and we haf everything we needed. Our rooms were cleaned everyday while we were out and we were able to start each morning with a delicious breakfast. The staff were all amazing and we miss ot already. Nothing at all. Even with torrential rain the stay was superb and we loved every minute. Total paradise.

Se trata de un edificio histórico restaurado al que han añadido utilidades del día de hoy para otorgar mayor comodidades a los huéspedes. Nuestra habitación era fantástica, y contábamos con una gran terraza prácticamente cubierta.en su totalidad, donde además estaban ubicados el baño y la ducha. La ubicación es perfecta, cerca de las zonas más visitadas de Georgetown, lo que permite llegar a ellas sin necesidad de utilizar medios de transporte. El personal es super agradable. En nuestro caso teníamos el desayuno incluido (cuyo horario es de 8 a.m. a 10 a.m.), pero el ultimo día teníamos que marcharnos a las 6 a.m. porque nos salía el vuelo muy temprano. Se lo comentamos al personal y amablemente nos vinieron a dejar el desayuno el día anterior para que pudiésemos desayunar antes de marcharnos. Un detalle muy bueno por su parte, y que dice mucho del trato que dan hacia sus clientes. Si volviese algún día a Georgetown, repetiría sin ninguna duda!

The art, architecture, ambience and entire home felt like travelling in the past. It was vey well maintained, neat and clean, super friendly staff, comfortable beds and nice outdoor style shower. Its quite well kept up integrating with the old Malay style of homes. After long days out, it was super cozy and relaxing to come back to. Must stay....if you are in Penang. It has such a heritage feel...one must experience. Stairs can be a little tight to Carry luggage up and down. But I guess the old style needs to be maintained.

• Fabs75 (9/5): Ci è molto piaciuto. - Prima cosa devo dire che la direttrice della struttura è stata gentilissima e di aiuto in qualsiasi situazione. questo albergo è all'interno di una casa coloniale. La camera è spaziosa e pulita anche se il bagno e la doccia sono locati nel cortiletto adiacente. La colazione è buona e abbondante. Molto consigliato. Ultima nota la colazione è sempre uguale quindi per lunghi soggiorni diventa un pò ripatitiva. Tuttavia è molto buona
