• Robert (8/5): Good for short stay - We were able to store our luggage at the motel's office prior to checking in. The city's free shuttle bus stop is just beside the hotel. A self-service laundry service is just next door. Very quiet location. There is no daily cleanliness service.

• Kendall (9/5): Our stay at Seward was wonderful. The coast was beautiful and the room was a great place to stay. - The location is great. The room was clean and very comfortable for my wife and I. We got what we were looking for.

They really need to be queen size to sleep comfortably for two. Management is attentive to your needs and promptly sees to all your needs. I would recommend this property.

• Scott (9/5): Unexpectedly pleasant and large rooms close to everything--yet feels private and is quiet - Seward doesn't have a lot of lodging options. We were only staying for one night, so our main requirement was a room with two beds. Trailhead Lodging is a small one-floor structure with just a half-dozen rooms. The building also houses a laundromat, but we never heard any noise from there. The room was large, nicely furnished with a lot of homey touches. The room had a queen bed and a sofa bed. Bathroom was very clean and everything was in good condition. All the information is provided by email in advance of the stay, and you use a code to enter both the main door and your room. This was great because we ended up getting to the room much later than we expected. On-site parking is offered. The lodge is one block off of the main street, so traffic noise was not an issue yet it was very close to the main restaurant and shopping area. I would have enjoyed staying there additional nights if our travel schedule had permitted it. The room was as described and more comfortable than I expected. It was warm in the room and we did have to use the large box fan (provided) to circulate air to cool us down to sleep.

Loved the sustainable actions, coffee cups, glassware, utensils, etc. made it homey. I had a glass of wine at night on the patio and coffee in the morning! Hope to have another opportunity one day to stay again and I’d stay longer!! Thank you for having us!

Located on a quiet part of the street with ample parking and access to outside seating for lounging and taking in the views.

Room had a box fan and portable heater. Didn’t meet any management. Communication like check in/out was done over text. Building and room codes worked when we arrived. Room included a helpful binder with info about the area. A great budget-friendly place to stay when in Seward.

• Kathy (10/5): - The place was very clean and nice, and easy to check in. The problem is that you cannot run the heat and the coffee maker at the same time. I could certainly have worked around this inconvenience, if I had known about it. There was no sign on the counter, only a note about it on the 4th page of the house manual - past the page about a local gym. When I got to the page I did not read further. I got up at 3:00 am, took a shower, and turned on the coffee pot and blew the breaker to the entire place. I texted, but got no response. By 6:00 am it was cold and dark - so with wet hair I left to find some place to get ready for work. I was very disappointed that I was not made aware of this situation.

• Sonaira (6/5): - Rooms are very cute and somewhat of a modern chic. The bed sheets left us extremely itchy and there were hair entangled in it. Couldn’t get the tv to work and even tho we contacted there “highly responsive number” she never responded and butt dialed me? There was a man that was trying to look into our window and watched my family go inside( not sure if he was another guest or passing by) made the night uncomfortable knowing we are being watched. I love the amount of towels provided. Door will lock sometimes but have to fiddle with it or else it will stay unlocked.

We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to see an updated room. Convenient small appliances. Location within walking distance of town shops, restaurants.

They have a place down the street, but it is a little sketchy. Pick up for the free shuttle was right outside the door, and many great food and shopping options were within walking distance. Office staff answered quickly and were helpful in helping us plan our trip, set up excursions, and check in a little early. Highly recommend!
• Rohan (10/5): Comfortable stay - The location of this property is amazing. Right at the center of the town with an amazing coffee and breakfast place ( Resurrection Coffee House) across the street. The harbour is just a few mins drive ( for a day cruise to the Kenai Fjords NP) and so are all restaurants in the area. The room was clean and had everything we could have possibly needed for our stay. Loved having the Dove body wash and Pantene shampoo and conditioner. They also had Oatmeal sachets and lovely teas. Highly recommend for a comfortable stay in Seward.

We were right next to the free shuttle stop and the Sea Life Center and shopping area was within walking distance.

• travellingal10 (10/5): Nice, contemporary room - The outside of the building looks dated but do not let that fool you. The inside is contemporary, clean and very nice place to stay. They have vinyl etc. floors so no musty carpets. Our room had 2 queen beds and breakfast nook with coffee and tea. They have a self check-in which is easy and they do communicate it well. The room binder and their communications sent before visit are very informative of what you can do and see in the area. We stayed two nights and slept very well. It’s a small place in general but we did not hear the neighbors at all. There is a separate coin laundry day in the building that could have been very handy if we were not already heading home after staying here. I would definitely stay here again.
• Amy (8/5): - The rooms were very nice, clean, and updated. Easy check in and out. The building itself is in need of some updates. Laundromat attached to the building which was convenient for us. Good location- walk to many restaurants and stores and just about a mile to the harbor.
