Door to room didnt shut. Not very clean. Plaster coming off ceilings, paint chipping off walls cracks in walls, NO HOT WATER, NO Balcony. TV didnt work. Blanket was like a paper towel. Very old Pool, Both hot tubs out of order.

I don’t have any complaints. - Everything was great The walk from the parking garage to the hotel, but we went early, so it was kind of cold, which made it worse & they don’t have any balconies like in our room. It was maybe like 4 inches of a balcony so you can step off but literally just your 2 feet nothing else or anybody else.

The rooms need to be refreshed, plaster coming off ceiling, crack tile, and dirty, bathroom door off hinges, bigger TVs, curtains were off track. AC never cooled below 72. Furniture was old. Room with bunk beds was way too small,it needs a face lift for $. We won't be staying again. ☹️

- Stephanie (3/5): Unexpected construction - The location is very nice. The room was nice but could be updated. We enjoyed the hot tub. There was construction that we were not made aware of before booking. The room next door was being remodeled. Banging and racket all day starting at 8 am. It was not a restful vacation unfortunately. One day the water was shut off for most of the day. We understand that construction needs to happen but we would probably have stayed elsewhere during the process. Especially with it being right next door.

Hotel staff was very friendly and attempted to take care of the issues we were having. First 2 nights we didn't have any AC at all! Called down to the front desk and they sent maintenance and they claimed they fixed it but it wasn't fixed. They brought 3 fans and a portable AC but it still wasn't fixing the problem. Hotel lacks management. Staff was over worked and never seen or spoke to Hotel management the whole time I was there. The Yachtsman has truly went downhill from where it was.

The 1st time the room was a little more updated than this time. But it was still very clean and spacious! 2 bedroom 2 bath nice kitchen and dining area. Loved waking up in the morning to the beautiful sunrise and the sound of the waves right from my bed! A real balcony would be nice, but it still was nice that it had the doors I could leave open all night hearing the ocean.

The mouse was crawling on my sister-in-law. The facilities were outdated, the vents were discusting and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in awhile.

- Heather (1/5): Horrifying, Panic Attaxk - We didn’t like anything about it , I had a panic attack bc it was so dirty and nasty and felt musky and sticky. Rust on all appliances, nasty bathroom , nasty cabinets , nasty stopped up sink. Gross carpet and couch, bed had stains. No balcony ! I have health problems and could not risk staying in a run down place like this with my damaged lungs and compromised immmne system. We didn’t like anything about it at all, it’s old and run down and was false advertising on the website!

The office floor needs some serious work, not attractive at all. Not maintained as well as in the past. Needs some serious cleaning! Need to get rid of the cats at the pier. They make it smell bad around the pool area, and the food left for the cats causes bugs and is bad for the area. Call the human society to remove them from the area!

- Stacey (4/5): We were disappointed. - No breakfast was provided. Why was there a code which stopped the TV from working in some rooms? No one cleaned during my stay. Towels were needed late night. Not enough toilet tissue provided.

- Raquel (4/5): Precisa de respeitar ao consumidor que com tanto amor resolve pagar pela estadia ao ver fotos que nos iludem ,como ??? - Os lençóis e toalhas estavam muito bem Limpos , bem claros , nada encardido. Uma aparência de limpeza muito boa, diferente de muitos hotéis . O apartamento totalmente um desleixo. O sofá da sala com aparência de muito sujo . A borda do carpete tudo descolando , infiltração no teto. O suporte de papel higiênico despencando. O carpete do apartamento que eu fiquei visivelmente muito sujo , e o pior de tudo o corredor do lado de fora dos apartamentos , uma vergonha de tanta sujeira que tinha , na frente da porta do lado de fora do apartamento e andar que fiquei parecia que estava abandonado , será que a pessoa que é dono do apartamento não vê quando abre a porta pra sair e da de cara com um carpete podre na frente de sua porta do lado de fora ???? 🤔 E uma pena . Pois o prédio é no coração de Myrtle Beach com uma vista incrível de maravilhosa. Mas realmente precisa de uma grande reforma e cuidado em sua limpeza e aparência .
