• Swen (7/5): Fijn verblijf in monumentaal pand in het centrum van oud Heidelberg - Prachtig oud pand met ruime kamers. Gelegen in het centrum van de oude stad. De inrichting van de kamers is gedateerd en de kamer was op sommige plekken wat stoffig.

While one doesn't expect perfection from a sleeper-sofa, there are better options available these days. It was hard to shower without water spilling out.

• Astrid (3/5): Ich würde es nicht wieder buchen. - Das Ersatzzimmer war gut (Suite), allerdings fehlte auch hier ein Vorhang, so dass bereits morgens um 6 die Sonne aufs Gesicht schien. Das Personal war sehr nett. Das Einzelzimmer war eine Zumutung. Keine Lampe am Bett, fehlender Vorhang, die Tapete war an vielen Stellen abgeblättert und der Teppichboden eine Zumutung. Ich bekam ein anderes Zimmer (siehe oben).

• Rufino (8/5): - The building is amazing! We could really feel the smell of history, in a good way - we loved it. Staff was nice. The room was good, confortable and spacious. It was a weekend night in a touristic period, but the price wasn’t cheap - it was still good value for money, considering we are helping maintain a historic building A significant let down was breakfast: buffet was generous enough, but not everything was fresh: all the bread and cakes were clearly from the day before - this is something you just don’t do!

• Ruwani (6/5): Disappointing overall as we were rebooked into a different accommodation - The building itself is beautiful, but we were contacted a week or so ahead of our booking to advise us that we could not be accommodated in the hotel but instead we would be placed at Palmbrau apartments a few meters away. No real reason was given for the change in accommodation, but as we were only staying for a single night we accepted the change. At check-in, I asked the staff member at the counter what the reason was and he was unable to explain why, instead deflecting the question and changing the subject - it made me wonder what he was hiding. The hotel itself had guests staying in it so it was fully operational while we were in town. Palmbrau serviced apartment itself was nice and comfortable; However, I couldn’t help feeling disappointed as we had intentionally booked Hotel Zum Ritter for the experience. Important to note - the streets outside Palmbrau apartments were noisy until 2am so I don’t recommend staying there on a weekend if you’re hoping to get any sleep! Finally, we had breakfast at Hotel Zum Ritter and it was definitely overpriced and lacking for a very basic selection of food - I do not recommend booking with breakfast.

Die historische Ausstattung der Lobby. sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Ich hätte mir etwas mehr Auswahl beim Frühstück gewünscht, es gab immer nur zwei verschiedene Sorten Käse und zwei verschiedene Sorten Wurst. Der Kaffee war grauenhaft.

• Jasmin (6/5): - Das Hotel ist in einer sehr zentralen Lage an der Hauptstraße und von dort aus kommt man fußläufig überall hin. Das Mobiliar ist in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bett wurde mal modernisiert. In dem Schrank wo die Minibar sein sollte, wurde einfach der Kühlschrank entfernt und nichts weiteres an dem Schrank verändert. Ist nicht einladend. Des weiteren ist das Badezimmer in die Jahre gekommen. Die Duschwand ist veraltet und teilweise schon kaputt gewesen. Die Klobrille war vergilbt und es ist wenig Platz zwischen Toilette und Badewanne. Das Personal ist nicht immer vor Ort und man muss anrufen und drauf warten.

• Andrea (2/5): Nie wieder! - Die gute Lage Der in der Zimmerinformation abgegebene Wasserkocher hat gefehlt; die Gänge haben muffig gerochen. Am Abreisetag hat der Fahrstuhl nicht funktioniert; ein Zugang zum Treppenhaus war nicht ersichtlich; mussten zweimal in der Rezeption anrufen, bis uns jemand den Weg gezeigt haben; durch diese Aktion haben wir unseren Bus zum Hauptbahnhof verpasst.

There was some problem with the bath: the plug could not retain an inch of water. But the shower worked for me very well. The TV set in my room didn't work.

• Norbert (6/5): Tolles altes Hotel wird grausam geführt. - Der Ritter in Heidelberg ist ein altehrwürdiges Hotel . Es hat sehr sehr viel Potenzial , welches aber absolut nicht ausgeschöpft wird. Der Portier am Empfang hatte absolut keinen Plan, von dem was er machen sollte . Ich stand etwa 10 Minuten unbeachtet vor seinem Tresen während er an seinem Telefon rumtippte und wischte . Bis mir der Kragen platzte und ich ihn unsanft aus seiner Litargie riss. Daraufhin fand er erst meine Buchung nicht und behauptete später ich sei schon eingecheckt und auch schon da. (Wirklich ein Meister seines Faches ) Ich musste ihm Dan mühsam erklären , dass derjenige der schon eingecheckt sei mein Bruder sei und ich eine andere Buchung hätte. Die ganze „Rezeption“ war, ich möchte nicht sagen vermüllt, aber es war eine derartige Unordnung wie in einer türkischen Würfelbude. Jetzt mache ich es kurz . Zimmer war groß und Bett bequem. Allerdings war es eiskalt in dem Zimmer und nichts passt es richtig zusammen. Es war mein erstes Hotelzimmer, in dem kein Fernseher zu finden war. Das Frühstück war auch nichts besonderes, obwohl die Bedienung falls auffindbar bemüht .. Alles in allem, hat das, dass traditionsreiche Hotel zu Ritter nicht verdient. Bar und Restaurant langfristig geschlossen.

• Tatjana (9/5): Die Atmosphäre ist wirklich außergewöhnlich und das Personal sehr nett - Die Lage ist sehr zentral und das Parkhaus ca 5 min zu Fuß erreichbar. Allerdings kostet es einiges... Die Dusche hat Stockflecken, aber nichts was man nicht auch schon mal im privaten gesehen hat.

Es gab einen kleinen Kühlschrank (nicht Minibar) zur Benutzung. Das Hotel sieht innen, da frisch renoviert toll aus. Trotz der Lage recht preiswert. Auch gibt es einen Lift. Zimmer und Bad sehr klein. Im Bad nur geringer Kaltwasserdruck, das stört beim Duschen etwa - aber: man kann am Duschkopf etwas verstellen, was den Druck etwas erhöht. Die Parkzusatzkarte funktionierte nicht. Vielleich weil sie von 2024 ist? Musste den vollen Betrag bezahlen.

• Kirsten (8/5): Definitiv anders! Gerne mal wieder, dann muss aber das Restaurant offen haben - Wirklich historisches Ambiente im Treppenhaus und Restaurant. Die Zimmer haben auch den Charme des Alten, aber alles was man so üblicherweise braucht. Für uns hat alles gepasst. Der Aufzug hatte nicht funktioniert (Dez. 2025), erfreulicherweise war da unser Gepäck schon auf dem Zimmer. (Das Restaurant war zu - das wussten wir aber schon vor der Buchung.)
