Jennifer (9/5): Lovely stay, lovely location, wonderful staff, loved my room. - My room was well appointed, a lovely size and very comfortable. The air conditioning was a treat overnight, the location was lovely and quiet, the staff were incredibly friendly and my breakfast was second to none. My pillow had a few marks on it - I didn't say anything, so there wasn't anything for the team to address. My bathroom was a bit tired, could do with a new shower and a tidy up on grouting. And some pesky ants were hanging around the desk

The cosy restaurant serves excellent food and you can sit in the sun in the Beer Garden and hear lots of birds singing. The staff were exceptional especially the breakfast lady. Nothing really! Large car park, great toilets in the pub. Good beers. Clean room, huge bed. Not far from Norwich. What more could you want!
Charlotte (9/5): Great little stay - Such a lovely spot, the rooms were a great size and to a good standard. Felt secure and private. The bathrooms were good size too. Had everything we needed for our stay there. No issues with cleanliness at all. The staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The food served couldn’t fault and they accommodated for our fussiness so a win! The breakfast in the morning I wasn’t expecting much but was actually brilliant and very generous portions / amount offered! Really quiet location and it’s great they rooms are in a separate building to the pub. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area. N/A

The shower/bathroom had a tiny shower screen. So went you showered the whole room got soaked. Struggle to go in without getting your feet wet. Also it was causing damage to the door through to the bedroom. Also lack of vegetarian breakfast for my wife. So she had poached eggs with 1 round of bread instead of a full English.

Phil (10/5): Just a great experience, When I left I thought what a great place this was. People are lucky to have - from the moment I arrived and was welcolmed to when I left in the morning the service was 1st Class. The room was great. Bed was so comfy struggled to wake up. The shower was big and temp perfect for me. Evening meal was really tasty and beer served with a smile. Really cozy atmostphere with log burner, a real old fashioned pub. In the morning had breakfast. two poached eggs on toast which were perfectly cooked. Even down to the salt & pepper grinders. Ground the salt & pepper evenly over my eggs. Tea pot poured great tea and did not spill everwhere like a lot of pots do. I could not find fault with the Pub which had been recommended to me. I stay in a lot of Pubs as love the vibe. I have to say that this ranks as exceptional and the best pub I have stayed in for many years. You will only be charmed and spoilt by the uncomplicated service within. Will defo be back. I could find nothing in anyway that would put any negative on my stay

Dinner was nice, and the young waiting staff were lovely. Breakfast the next morning - lady serving was polite but not particularly warm or friendly. Full English could not be adapted for vegetarians - all it takes is some veggie sausages and substitute the bacon for spinach or something similar.

Nayna (3/5): Nice setting but misleading info on website - The place was beautifully clean I booked this stay as a gift for friends and their children who visited over xmas. The website stated 2 bedrooms although this was not the case when arrived. It also stated free cot however I was charged an extra £10 for the cot with no bedding! No heating was on when they arrived and as it was late they were in a cold room for a while.

Axlemaxwell (9/5): Nice rooms, nice pub, nice food. - Nice pub feel, all old oak beams, nicely set out. At the time it was all set up for Christmas and looked really nicely decorated. The rooms are a good size and seem to be fairly new. Bed was really big. Good size TV. My room had a velux window with a remote control to be able to close it at night. Breakfast was really nice.
Graeme (8/5): A very comfortable overnight stay with an excellent breakfast - Very comfortable bed, slept very well. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and plentiful. The dining area very cosy with the fire burning added to the very pleasant atmosphere Whilst clean a perfectly acceptable the room, particularly the bathroom fittings would benefit from a deep clean and descale. A few items and surfaces in the bedroom also a deep clean.

The bathroom was excellent and also very warm. The room was quite small with a large bed and a big cupboard taking up a lot of space. The breakfast was quite meagre and expensive. The dinner on the first night was delicious & they were able to cater for my gluten & lactose intolerances. Our room was small but had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, the shower nice & powerful. The room although next to the car park was quiet. The choice for breakfast was fairly small but was perfectly cooked & hot. For what was meant to be the main element I had 2 1x1cm squares of it in the polenta loaf - disappointing meal.

Jonathan (8/5): Great location, good rooms and lovely welcome - Lovely location, great original pub and modern, comfortable guest rooms behind it. Incredibly warm welcome and great service and a very good breakfast. WiFi wasn’t working when we visited which was a slight issue as I had very poor mobile signal in the area. This I assume was temporary and likely fixed now.

Sophie (10/5): Calming beautiful stay - The small amount of rooms available, the quiet village location, all of the amenities that you require are readily available in the rooms. The food menu gave little options for bread free meals / meals without a lot of different diverse flavours.

Lindsay (9/5): Really fabulous find - Everything I am a performer and often cannot check in by 10pm as shows finish then so a later arrival would have really helped as I had to drive to accommodation before heading back to work 40 mins away in order to be able to stay. A little flexibility would have really helped.
Paula (8/5): - Good priced accommodation close to the coast sadly the room was not as good a our previous stay, lots of black mould in the en-suite and dirty shower door seals, there is no extractor fan which would help with the damp. Also dirt & cobweb behind the bedside cabinets where the plugs are. Pub and food itself was good, and staff couldn’t do enough.
Clive (9/5): Great value one night stay with a very comfortable bed and quality food - All areas v clean and well presented. Exceptional roasts, very comfortable well equipped room. Bed was very comfortable. Peaceful beer garden with a very interesting tree. Breakfast freshly cooked very good. We’ll be back Nothing of note
Tracey (8/5): - plus air conditioning which was great in the heat. Beds are comfortable and had a great night's sleep. This was our second visit and a little disappointed with the menu but that was personal choice. Room - bedding spotless and shower and bath clean. However there were some areas where they need to clean ie the radiator. Running a fingers over the yowel rail was thick with dust and the blinds needed a clean. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling in the corners and over the bed. Staff - day time staff were pleasant enough when serving but were not very friendly or welcoming. A smile goes a long way! The lady serving breakfast, however, was lovely and very friendly.
