• Jules P. (10/5): Massive peaceful mansion/villa with a lot of greenery, perfect for families or couples. - Property is MASSIVE! Lots of greenery and a peaceful environment. We got our own room in one of the houses inside the property, and the room was HUGE, and so was the bathroom. It had a fridge, a/c, TV, dining table, sofa with coffee table, and some wooden closets. Located in an affluent area within walking distance of restaurants, bars, bakeries, hair salons, pharmacies, etc. There are two malls very close by, around a 10-minute taxi ride. The staff was very friendly, always ready to help, and so was the owner. I wanted to jump in the pool, but the water looked like it needed to get replaced; it looked kind of murky. The bed would squeak with every single slight movement we took, the cleanliness of the mattress was very questionable after our bedsheets got removed while sleeping, and I looked at it, and there were no toiletries in the bathroom—only a tiny bottle of red liquid soap. The Shower door would not shut, so water would get all over the floor outside of the shower while using it.

The design of the villa is stunning and so is the romantic garden. A spacious pool and even a tennis court are at the guests disposal. The best feauture of the place is however the friendly staff. You will feel like home.

• angelacS6596ZG (10/5): Best place to stay in Cali - This is my 4th trip to Cali Colombia. I’ve been to both hotels and rented private homes in the past. This is by far the best one I’ve stayed at, and plan to come back on my next trip. The reason I picked this place was due to the extremely high reviews it received, and now that I’ve been there, I can see why. The hotel was originally a mansion built at a time and by people to whom money was no object, and it shows in the unique architecture and art work throughout the property. It is a great place to take amazing pictures. However, what sets it above all other places I’ve been to is the customer service that they offer. Andres went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time there. Anything we needed, he was a call away. The beds are super comfortable (which is very rare in Colombia) and all the necessary amenities are present. The pool is regularly maintained and was very clean while we were there. If you get the chance you should engage the owner in conversation. He is an elderly man, speaks multiple languages and is very well travelled. The best part of the hotel is the location. Although the compound is walled for protection, all the properties south of it are fancy restaurants, in an upper class part of Cali. You can walk safely outside, day or night. There are many police officers and security guards around. When we contacted them to book, we were told that they do not accept credit cards. However, they were very clear on their rates, and they were true to their word (which is also not very common in Colombia). Most days we ventured into the city and even left our room door unlocked. No one touched anything and we felt very safe and secure when we were there. Lastly, I saw a negative review that suggests all positive reviews are fake. I can assure you that this review is real, we were there and we plan to go back. I hope this review helps potential guests.

• ciaralafferty (10/5): Paradise in Cali - This was my second trip to this hotel. Again, it was amazing. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel itself is gorgeous. The staff are wonderful, so kind and attentive. Extremely good people. The owner is a true gentleman. He welcomed us when we arrived and any time he saw us always had a conversation with us. He’s a kind hearted person who truly wants you to enjoy staying at his hotel. The food at breakfast was delicious. Overall a wonderful stay.

• Ronald (10/5): Great place but please know what you are getting - I am going to be honest but fair , this place is amazing and beautiful and the staff does everything they can to accommodate you it’s extremely safe (you are inside a full wall) the property is absolutely beautiful and extremely well kept if you are visiting cali to see the sites and want to insure you are well taken care of and have a safe and clean environment this place is great . Now for a few complaints that is totally out of there control and I just want people to know to make sure they make the right choices . If you are a go out late person who likes to party all night it can be difficult to get back inside after everyone goes tk sleep ( they will accommodate you as the staff is truly great but I felt really bad calling and waking a person up ) if you call for a Uber or a taxi make sure you allow time to find someone to let you out . And lastly make sure you know this is a cash only place they do not accept credit cards . This is how they work so I’m not going to take away from my rating for this . Especially because I did have a really great stay and the staff and owner did do everything in there power to try and please me . Over all really great place and if I am in town to relax this would be my top choice and I would absolutely return
• Don (8/5): Best place to stay in Cali for sure! - Fabulous old converted villa, very large, rambling place, very tastefully decorated rooms, comfortable with huge swimming pool, tennis court and lovely garden. Great neighborhood, Ciudad de Jardin is the best place in Cali to stay The rooms while nice could do with a refreshing update, especially the bathrooms. The rooms were a bit dark and dingy, maybe just dated. It was a bit of a hassle going in/out of the villa, i suppose for security reasons. Breakfasts could do with more variety and....... please improve the quality of the coffee! It was just awful stuff first thing in the morning......no excuses to not have excellent coffee in Colombia!

• sheilabowlingm (2/5): Total Bust - There are many things wrong and absurd with this property, please do not believe the good reviews they are fake. 1. They do not accept credit cards and they price are severely inflated, so for people who do not used cash on a regular have to go to a ATM's to get al that cash, where security is a concern and most ATM's do not allow you more than a $100 per day. So I have to go with an Uber driver from bank to bank to get 800,000 pesos 2. Mouse infested property that do not allow you to get a goodnight sleep 3. I was there for three days and they did not clean my room neither offered to clean, but entered my room daily to search my things, where many of my face mask and other items were missing 4. They listed free breakfast from 7am -9am, but at 7:30am the kitchen lady was bothered to give us coffee with cream and when we asked for cream she got mad and was slamming cut fruits on the table instead of the cups and decided to pick up with her hand placing it on the cups and expected us to eat it, so we walk-out in absolute disgusts 5. it feel as you are in prison, as you need to ask to be let out the property every single time and ask to be let in every time you want to return to your room. In addition, you need to ask for permission to go out at night after 7pm. and ask for permission to come in anytime during the day 6.The room is old looking and outdated from the 80's and the sheet are also old, to the point that I went out and purchase sleeping gear and sheets 7. The TV do not work, they control the TV on and off and cable channel, so you have to ask them to come and turn the TV on for you 8. You will not get a goodnight sleep because for some reason in the middle of the night someone will knock at your door with some much intensely, like they running from the police, (this happened twice in three nights) 9.When you mentioned the inefficiencies to hotel management they act as you have three head and became very dismissive 10. No COVID-19 protocol in place, the staff do not use mask, nor gloves and prepared food without mask and they all walk around the property without mask 11. The hotel get mad if you do not use their UBER driver connect so they can get perks from your business and their prices are severely inflated in comparison to anyone else. DO NOT STAY HERE, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, YOU WILL THANK ME

• 607monikav (10/5): Family Vacation - Paradise - We spent 8 nights at this wonderful house. It does not have the feel of a hotel but all the amenities of the best one. We loved the pool, the cleanliness of the whole house. There is art everywhere, beauty all around. The hotel is located in an excellent area of the City with everything nearby, from Medical Centers to malls and the most diverse group of restaurants. What makes this place even more special is the Owner, Hans who is incredibly kind and helpful. The staff is also worth noting, Christian is always ready to help, not only with items in the hotel but with reservations, tickets, Covid testing appointments, deliveries, you name it. Yolanda and Liliana are so kind, so helpful and they really made our stay very memorable. We felt like we were in our own home. I recommended this to one of my cousins, she was also very impressed. We will never stay at any other place when visit Cali. Villa Casuarinas is a hidden gem.

• caesarsshow (10/5): Not just an amazing hotel but a Oasis in Cali - Me and my wife i have stayed here for almost 3 weeks and for us was the best place from Colombia. Rooms are big, internet is fast (200Mbps) and for us this is very important because we are working online. Staff are amazing special Iolanda and Cristian (The Manager), they provide us everything that we have requested and they give us precious info about the city. The pool is huge and very clean, there is also a tennis field where you can play. Near the hotel are plenty of restaurants (Check the Faro Restaurant, is amazing.)and shops. When we will be back in Cali, 100% Villa Casuarnias will be our home :)

The place is wonderful in every way but the staff....they are what makes this place extraordinary. Christian, Mauricio and Yolanda made our stay in the hotel and in Cali a trip that our family will never forget. Their hospitality and genuine care for us made us put this place on the list for another visit. The hotel is in a great location. Safe and walking distance to many restaurants, stores, hair places, pharmacies etc. Once you enter the property you’re in your own little oasis. Birds and flora galore. We can’t wait to go back.

Located on a very safe area, the big house is perfectly located close to great restaurants (you should try Faro, great food). The house is quite unique for Cali with a lovely garden, a tennis court and a huge swimming pool. The room are very spacious and well equipped with big TV screen. • 19jss (10/5): Great place to stay in Cali - This was an awesome place to stay. Its very low key and quiet. Most days we had the huge pool to ourselves. It is not a hotel so the service is very personal. The owner Hans is very friendly and super helpful. They offer ironing service too. They have a minibar in the room so there is always water and beer on hand. We stayed in the back pool house area. There are frogs outside which can get very annoying at night but thats just part of the parcel in Cali. They have a huge tv in the room with Netflix available for when you are winding down. Theres a rumour around Cali that this was an ex Cali cartel mansion.

The staff is magnificent and the owner speaks five languages and it is kind. Room service is habdled by them via nearby restaurants - by entering in or leaving the hotel you realized that they value safety. I was very satisfied that in fact I am returning.
• Fredy (10/5): Private and quiet best kept secret in Cali - Place was very private and quiet. Definitely different than the traditional large hotel chains. With Only 8 rooms , it felt more like a family home rather than a place of business, which to me was a welcome feature. Service was meticulous and attentive. Only complain I have is the exit and access to the place you must rely on the staff to let you in and out. I rather have total individual control on when I come and go on my own time. Other than that I give this place 5 stars.
• Louis (10/5): Beautiful, family hotel on edge of Cali - This is a beautiful, quiet, peaceful, family oriented hotel. The swimming pool is Olympic size. The grounds is perfectly kept up. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Management of the hotel is very courteous, helpful, friendly, and oriented to the customer. Their Continental breakfast is actually a full breakfast cooked right on the premises. The hotel room is over sized with a comfort, homely feeling compared to other hotels whose rooms are stuffy and cheaply decorated. The location is perfect. There is no outside noise from the streets. Parks, malls, restaurants are within walking distance. A grocery store is near by to buy basic necessities. The staff is very knowledgeable of the hotel immediate area, of Cali, and of sights to see in Colombia. Besides being knowledgeable, they are very helpful and very willing to make sure the stay at the hotel, and the stay in Cali is a happy, memorable experience. I look forward to visiting Cali again, and staying in this hotel again.
