- Chris (10/5): - The property is not maintained and dirty around the area. The room was clean but very dated and worn. There are no amenities. When I turned the light on in the bathroom the bugs scattered! I would never recommend to anyone, unless your standards are low.

- Chris (2/5): - For a place that seems to be on the verge of falling down, I will say it seemed clean. Otherwise it was pretty awful. Mold on the ceiling and everywhere around the shower. Flooring warped and curling up. Peeling wall paper. Broken window in the bath with a duct tape "repair". Stairs and balcony felt unsafe. Place really needs a bulldozer.
- Peggy (6/5): - Cedar Key has a lot of damage from the hurricanes still so there isn't much open. This is an old motel from maybe the fifties, It was clean but in need of updates. I thought it was overpriced for what was there. There is no view of the water! People smoke on the deck outside your room so the smell comes in thru the air conditioning.
- Koleta (6/5): - The inn is old and dated. However, they are working on it. The LVP floors are very nice and the memory foam beds are good. The bathroom needs a lot of help, but it is clean. Thefurnishings look new. My sister and I felt safe and secure.

- Christopher (6/5): Seen better days - If Alfred Hitchcock and Stephen King had a love child. It would be born or concede at this hotel. This was a last min quick stay quick trip nothing fancy just need a place to crash. We pulled up and my wife said O-boy we couldn’t turn back now we drove 7 hrs and not much around. You could have not asked for a nicer lady at check in 👍. I wanted to sit and have a few beers with her and pet her dogs. As far as the hotel it’s seen better days a long long long time ago. Listen the beds super clean and it had hot water and you could hang meat in the room the AC was that cold. But if you want to film a Norman Bates part 2 this would be the place. We just had to laugh about it. We had fun old world Florida

- William (8/5): Selected because of location. Not disappointed. - My wife has mobility issues. She can walk with a cane some but uses a wheelchair on longer outings. That's why we selected the Cedar Inn. Right in the middle of everything and easy level wheelchair pushing. We were in touch with the owner and she provided us a ground level room. Yes, the Cedar Inn is not a brand new place. And it did go through a Hurrican last year. We selected it because of location and were not disappointed.

- Melanie (10/5): Understand what you're reserving - If you're here for waterfront luxury, you're in the wrong place. If you're down for quirky, quaint & rustic this is your spot. It's a fishing village that's suffered some recent storm damage. This is a vintage motel with just the basics. The innkeeper is friendly & southern hospitality abounds. The ground floor room was clean with the exception of the tub which needs to be completely replaced due to age & likely storm damage. Bathroom area is very tiny, about the size of public restroom stall. Modern conveniences are limited to AC, cable, wi-fi, & a lamp with USB ports. No hair dryer. No nearby chain stores or fast food. Liquor & convenience stores are both walking distance. The nearby restaurants, bars, & shops are fun, a 5 min. walk & EVERYONE is friendly. I recommend this spot as long as you don't expect or need fancy.

- Lise-Lotte (6/5): Clean but in bad shape - We were aware that this was not a fancy motel but we were a bit shocked by the holes in the laminate floor and the window in the bathroom missing a large uneven piece of glass. The beds were comfortable and the AC kept the room cool, even if it was very loud. We arrived before 6pm but reception was closed with a note that the key was in the room, which worked just fine. Also when we were leaving Sunday morning the reception was closed.

It smelled of pee, A/C was very noisy and the bathroom door was falling apart, paint spatter all over it, no trim and the toliet was not properly attached to the floor. There was also a broken down car parked outside that the owner said was her daughters and it doesnt work, well move it cuz it was taking up a parking space for actual customers. To top it off, they started cleaning or something at 6 AM!! Totally horrible

- Michael (4/5): Bad Stay in Cedar Key - I should have done more research on this one. This place is in very poor condition inside and out. Junk stored under the stairways, rotted & holes in the carpet outside, no place to put clothes up for the stay, way over-priced, and no basic amenities in the rooms. Extremely poor exterior lighting, no fire alarm, no fire sprinklers. This place is horrible. We left a day early . . . I doubt I’ll see a refund for the unused night.

On property parking was limited but there appeared to be good on-street parking. Near dock front area.

- Jack (10/5): A simple 1950s motel - Cedar Inn is a no-frills, 1950s style motel. Excellent value for the price. Management is friendly and you may meet Mo the Cat, a beautiful yellow fellow. Do not expect new furniture, recent exterior paint job, The 'ocean view' is from a deck upstairs, with a distant glimpse of the sea ... but it's just a short walk to water, in a charming town.

The motel was clean, the bed was good but the sheets were probably polyester so they felt a little “sweaty”. All in all a nice experience if you do not expect anything fancy
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't Do It!!!!! - When we 1st walked in our room, there was a cat on the bed just chilling. We told the front desk and her response was people sleep with the cat all the time. Well i wasnt about to sleep in that room. They gave us another room. This room had a lot of stains on the floor and roaches. I will not i repeast i will not stay here again.

- LAURIE (2/5): - lack of security. building was in terrible repair & insecure. we arrived late, slept there due to having no choice. got up in the am and rented another room (also damanged by the the hurricane 9 mo's earlier, but clean and remarkedly nicer- same price & offered a pool. didn't bother to request a refund. just wanted to leave- the roaches were big enough to leash. immediately moved to another hotel, and enjoyed the remainder of our stay- Cedar Key is unique and lovely, but need to be discrecionary of the hotels. not all are repaired after the hurricane last year.

The owners a super friendly and down to earth. Room was clean and cooled off for our arrival. Many yummy restaurants close by and a market right down the road.

Cedar Key is one of my favorite small towns to visit. Amazing food, fishing, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Hospitality from all establishment is always above and beyond.

- Jeff (10/5): - If you understand what you are expecting, then I think you will be please with this property based on: It is well below the price of other properties in this area. The owner lives on property and is very attentive to your needs. It is conveniently located in short walking distance to restaurants and is close to the boat ramp. There is wifi available. The refrigerator worked well and was already cold. If all the spots are not taken, you may park your boat trailer on property. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning works very well. You may be able to get a late check out if no one has booked your room for that day. Keep in mind, while this is not a modern 5 star hotel, it is very good for the price as rooms can be quite expensive in down town Cedar Key.

Location was great, close to the boardwalk, restaurants and beach. It did have a microwave and mini fridge, but no coffee maker. Small room and bathroom, but perfectly adequate for a few nights. Beds were comfortable, and staff was friendly.

There was chairs in front of each room as well as two different balcony areas (shared with everyone) with seating for hanging out or whatever you wish.

- Brenda (4/5): Re decoration needed urgently. - We did not use the shower which was over the bath. The bath was in very poor condition. Taps andbath looked to be over 40 years old the toilet had very little space on either side appox. 4 inches . The seat had 2 gouges in it. The back of the door had some sort of paper stuck to it. Tiles hanging off the wall. The room itself was clean and the bedding was clean. The overall decor was very poor. Grossly over priced.

- Lisa (10/5): Convenient to everything - Very convenient location, and pet friendly. The room was clean, comfortable, and pest-free, and included micro and fridge. This is not a luxury hotel, but it makes up for it in a hassle-free, convenient, no-driving unless you really want to, experience.

- Lucy (10/5): - Debbie and Joel were so friendly and accommodating. The place is very rustic and old island style. Still recovering from recent hurricane like most older, local style properties. We loved the island vibe. They gave us great recommendations for dining and shopping. Only drawback was full trash can outside our room for 2 days . Would recommend to folks who want the true , small island town vibe.

- Hollis (4/5): - Room was clean considering the property seemed to still be under repair from the hurricane last year, but 2nd floor flooring was peeling and nasty. Stairs, decks and outside furniture was very nasty. Disappointing as we had stayed a few years back and enjoyed it. Hoping it will get it’s charm back.

- Andreia (2/5): Want to forget hotel. - This was one of the grossest places I’ve stayed. The carpet was stained. The beds flimsy. No outlets to dry hair near sink or mirror. I was worried about falling through the outside corridor so much that I carried the heavier luggage instead of letting my husband. It was so spongy that I was seriously afraid of it collapsing. It was the only room open on Hotels.com so I booked it. I wish I had taken more time & looked through other sites to stay some place else. I almost went & found somewhere else after I saw the room & just ate the cost but my husband convinced me it would be ok for one night. The only good review I give it is the clerk let me check in 2 hours early. Other than that, I want to forget the experience. I literally went & got Lysol & came back & sprayed room just for some piece of mind cause it looked so rough. I get that there’s bad weather & places get flooded but I totally would have paid more to stay somewhere else.

- Susan (8/5): Clean comfortable beds & shower. - The beds were comfortable & clean. The shower was clean & worked fine. The bathroom was clean. It had a nice clean microwave & good size refrigerator & freezer. The air conditioner worked but didn’t cool as much as we wanted. The carpet was very stained & the upstairs floor felt weak. However all in all we were thankful for clean beds & a shower.
