Guest Reviews

- Martin (9/5): Ruhig und doch zentral - Sehr gut aufgefrischtes Hotel. Guter Unterhalt. Badezimmer fiel leider nicht in die Renovation. Aber unter dem Strich; tadellos. Zentral und doch ruhig. Dem Frühstück könnte man mehr Beachtung schenken. Personal gibt es genug.

- TETSUYA (7/5): リニューアル後が楽しみです。 - 無料貸自転車 工事中だったので、やむを得ないことながら、音が気になりました。朝食にお粥のメニューがほしい。
- Barrett (8/5): Very good -
- Eugene (9/5): Very pleasant -
- Frank (8/5): Very good - Central downtown Fang location next to the main market makes it convenient walking distance to restaurants, shops and the night market... clean comfortable rooms... currently being expanded so it looks a bit like a construction zone from the outside but looks fine on the inside and there was no problem with construction noise. Limited breakfast of bread/toast and instant coffee needs upgrading to meet the expectations of most new guests...
- Eugene (8/5): It was pleasant and would stay there again - Did not have the breakfast, so I can’t really answer
- Denis (7/5): Recommend for Fang - Comfortable bed. Clean room. Good wifi. Affordable
- Rachel (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (4/5): Disappointing -
- Rosemary (7/5): Good - Very comfortable bed, pillows and good sheets. Delightful staff. Breakfast was poor. Just bread to toast, margarine and red jelly. Instant coffee, instant hot chocolate, no tea bags just loose leaf tea with no strainer. But not a problem bringing in our own fruit.
- Napaphorn (9/5): Superb -
- Numtip (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (7/5): Good -
- Nick (8/5): Great value for money in a very convenient location. - For the price of the room, this was excellent. Big room, with a sneaky good view across rice fields to mountains in the east.
The location was also great, I'd ridden from Chiang Rai and arrived around 1230, so needed lunch. I was able to walk 200m and get a good plate of Khao Mu Deng. I was also within walking distance was a good little coffee shop, a market and, Fang being in Thailand after all, numerous 7/11s. At night, a number of street vendors popped up really close to the hotel, which I was able to, and did, take advantage of. No complaints, it aligned with my expectations and exceeded them considering the price I paid.
- Klemens (8/5): Tolle und preiswerte Unterkunft in Fang - Zentrale Lage in Fang, großes sauberes Zimmer, für mich sehr komfortabel, Blick auf Reisfeld - traumhaft!; Personal spricht kein Englisch, Frühstück sehr schlecht.
- Stephan (7/5): very good for one night - our room ( superior, garden view) was simple but spacious and very clean. staff friendly. breakfast ok. everything ok considering the price
- Glebn (7/5): Good - The staff hardly speaks English. Few sockets at the head of the bed (but so in most hotels in Thailand). Until late at night there was loud music nearby (maybe it was unlucky on my day).
- Ian (6/5): ok for what we wanted - location the lack of breakfast facilities
- Zakharchenko (5/5): Passable -
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Preeyanat (8/5): Affordable price, nice location! - The hotel is located near local market where you can find some cheap local food. Moreover, there is a 7-11 nearby or if you would like to grab some coffee, you can walk to Cafe Amazon in the gas station beside hotel. They also serve rice porridge with pork, coffee, bread in the morning. The price is affordable! Parking lot in front of the hotel may be unavailable if you get back to the place late at night. You have to park at the lot beside the hotel instead, but it is not that far.
- Declan (9/5): Superb -
- Kirk (9/5): Superb -
- DonnaS656 (2/5): Worse Than Sleeping on a Board - I stayed here 3 nights in Feb. 2019, on the same tour as another reviewer here. I also stayed on the 3rd floor. There is no mattress provided--the bed consists of two box springs, one on top of the other. Harder than sleeping on a board! I did not know that a mattress pad was available--it would have been nice if someone from Tropical Birding told us that! As it was, my arthritis was inflamed so much by the bed that I was in extreme pain every night.
The staff speaks very little English. When I told them that the Internet on the 3rd floor was not working, they either didn't believe me or didn't understand me, probably a bit of both. Finally, someone interpreted for me. When the Internet is working, it is not very good, especially if other people on the floor are using it.
It's too bad that this is currently the "best" hotel in Fang.
- Born2Bird (4/5): Hardest 'mattress' I've ever slept on - We must have been given the absolute worst room in building on 3rd floor- the other reviews seem to be of another place. This was booked through Tropical Birding Tours - we had 3 nights here - last day there someone pointed out a notice taped to reception counter listed a mattress pad for 20 bahts per night - if only we had known this - what passed for existing mattress appeared to be a box spring with absolutely no padding. Other than that I guess the place was ok. Also Wi-fi was not reliable on 3rd floor - was fine in lobby area.
- frederic (8/5): Conforme à l'attente - Hôtel situé à proximité du marché
Chambre propre, l'hôtel a vécu mais aux vues du prix de la chambre, le rapport qualité prix est intéressant
- Objoon (8/5): Good place to stay and explore Fang District - Good location and convenient.
- Ajchara (8/5): Good place to stop over for Doi Ang Khang - Nice budget hotel in Fang
- tomo498 (10/5): center of city - This is a conveniently located hotel in the center of Fang. Next to the main bus terminal and open air market. Easy bus ride from Chiang Mai. The staff speaks very little English but will do their best to help out. Quick, low cost laundry service is available on premises. A simple breakfast in the lobby, which has large road maps of the surrounding area makes it easy to plan the days activities.
- Alfred06 (8/5): Good choice - Not easy to find - a bit hidden behind a Gasaoline Station and a Market.
Google Maps got it wrong! 😉
For the price offered a good Hotel - soft bed - all ok and next to a Coffee shop Amazon - and a 7/11 - so easy get supplies groceries.
My choice for Fang. 😊
- Nicole (6/5): Ok if you are stuck in fang - Decent hotel but not too much to recommend it. Then again, there isn’t too much to recon Fang. The place is clean. It is oddly tucked away behind the market but it was not too noisy. An ok place for the night
- Pichetbo (6/5): Small economy hotel - I chose this hotel as the other one that I went years ago was a bit out of town. This hotel is next to the market. The room is clean but the bed is not that comfortable. Anyway, it’s only one night. The price is so reasonable so I think it’s fair enough. From what I see, most guests are salespersons as I saw many trucks from many consumer products.
- Bever007 (8/5): decent stay - For us, one night in Fang was enough since there isn't too much to do. We chose this hotel because if it's location near the bus station. Close it was, 10 meter to the bus station/market place.
The room was clean and spacious. We paid 500 baht for a night, including breakfast (toast, jam ham, juices, tea/coffee). The bed was a bit hard, but that's normal in Thailand.
Too bad a horde of (I assume Chinese) people were making A LOT of noise at 6.30am and 7.30am. Talking very loud in the corridors, not thinking about the other guests.
Would go here again.
- williambG1212NQ (8/5): Good Budget Hotel - Right in the centre of Fang, close to petrol, 7-11, Amazon Coffee, and the local market
.
The hotel is basic but you get an air-conditioned room; separate bathroom/toilet with hot shower; fridge; tv (Thai but some English programmes including BBC News); 2 bottles water free every day; free coffee, cold drinks, toast and jam for breakfast.
The hotel is well maintained and cleaned well. Staff are friendly and helpful. What more do you want for B500 per night?
- 618tede (6/5): Not a bad option - After having stayed at 2 other hotels in Fang City I chose to check out this one. It is well located albeit a bit difficult to find. It's an older hotel and reasonably well kept and budget priced at under $20cdn. They include a typical Thai breakfast that consists of toast coffee and juice set up at a do it yourself station in the lobby. Rooms are fairly large, mine had a recently renovated bathroom. Satellite TV includes 4 English stations but it's on an old style 24" tv. Nice quiet air con but no insulation between the rooms makes it a bit noisy. Beds are typically Thai, hard as rock but if you ask, the staff will provide you with thin foamy mattress pads that may help a bit. The bus depot is out front, a decent coffee shop and 7/ 11 are right around the corner. Lots of little restaurants and food stands are within walking distance. Many banks with ATMs are in close proximity too. The staff are friendly and helpful although they have limited English skills. Excellent Thai massage is available by asking at the front desk, $150.Tbaht per hour. All in all a lot of positive features, downside is the hard beds and the noise from the other guests.
- Clarence (8/5): A nice place to stay - Fang is not a big tourist hotspot so finding this hotel good deal. Got a great rate thru Hotels.com, check in was a breeze, located within walking distance of area hospital, restaurants and shopping. Hotel provided a light continental style breakfast of coffee, juice and toast.
- PrincessHunnie (8/5): Spacious Rooms - I like the location. It is nearby the gasoline station, market, street foods, 7/11, buses. Well, everything is very close anyway. The room we got has a king size bed and a very spacious one. It is clean. Our room is facing in the rice paddy which is greener so look refreshing. Will recommend to everybody.
- arimagorria (8/5): Nice place, in front of the market and bus station - We lost our transfer bus to Chiang Rai, so we spent a night in Fang. This hotel was our first choice due to its location in front of bus station.
The hotel is basic and comfortable. It is quite cheap considering the air con and location.
A good option if you are lost in Fang.
- 296olivas (8/5): Nice and quiet place - Helpful staff and english speaking too!
Clean and large rooms.
In the morning toast with butter&jam and coffee&cocoa. Next to hotel there is a market and 7eleven.
Good location. No noice from the city
