- Dominic (10/5): Weekend Escape. - Hot tub was excellent, clean, easy to use and you get an amazing vieww of the stars at night as little light pollution. Great quiet getaway for couples whoo want to disconnect from the world and connect with each other. Reccomended.

The hot tub was an added bonus and main reason for booking this particular lodge, which meant we could truly relax and enjoy our stay at The Baiting House. The Baiting House staff were welcoming and polite. We didn't eat at the pub/restaurant during our stay this time but did enjoy a drink in the bar. Thank you. We will be returning.

- Lisa (8/5): - The main house with the pub and restaurant is beautiful. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The lodges are lovely but are up a dirt track that is not brilliant in the bad weather. You cannot leave your car near the lodge either and so walking up and down to the car park and restaurant is a challenge on the mud track and there is no lighting either. The main building does not open until 8:30 am so staying here on business trips is not feasible either. Food was delicious and service excellent.

Need a curtain in lodge Herdwick bedroom as very light early wake up call, the other lodges my friends were in had them. Basics such as towels, teabags, washing up liquid all provided, cleanliness perfect, staff friendly. Hot tub was lovely. Overall what a stunning place!

Excellent pub, greeted by very friendly staff, we ate a lovely dinner and slept very well in our room above bar. Room was a good size, fan provided was a bonus, as it was a very warm night. Very comfortable bed and good size bathroom with over bath shower. All in all a really good stay and we will return.

Only thing that would need improvement was the pillows , as they were very soft but this of course is preference. Bedding very thick and too heavy during a heat wave. - Stacey (2/5): Not luxury - unusable hot tub/ uncomfortable sleep - We booked a âluxury lodge for 4â. Upon arrival, despite the booking being for a family of 2 adults and 2 children staying, the bedding for the pull out sofa bed had not been made up. The pillows and duvet should have at least been put together, ready to throw onto the sofa bed when in use but I needed to do this myself after a long journey. The hot tub was so full of chemicals that it caused all 4 of us to have skin rashes and we needed to get out to shower after just 15 mins. Iâve since seen many other reviews noting the same so Iâm annoyed they havenât addressed this issue and do wonder if they follow H&S regs. My booking receipt noted a check out time of 11am, however the lodge paper work noted 10am. My husband queried this and reception confirmed itâs 10am âas ours is one of the larger lodges. Looking at the other lodgesâ, which it wasnât and, regardless, my receipt noted 11am for the specific âluxuryâ lodge we booked so itâs false advertising. The sofa bed was literally the most uncomfortable bed Iâd ever attempted to sleep on; dips down at the head/feet and raised in the centre, creaky, soft, awful. The bedroom bed was solid but I ended up sleeping in there with my eldest daughter in an attempt to get some sleep before our long journey home. The lodge gets really hot like a stuffy shed throughout the night so needed to keep all windows open all night. We canât comment on the free breakfast as we just wanted to leave following such a disappointing stay.

Access to the room only via very steep and narrow staircase. Room itself was fine, but noise coming from the pub side was overwhelming for my elderly father staying at the property at the time. Overall, we think it was overpriced yet under-achieved for the price we paid
- emma (10/5): Foodie break - Fantasy food, make sure you get dinner and breakfast here. Staff were lovely too. Cabins and hot tubs were great. WiFi not possible in the cabins and no phone signal so you have to switch off!
- Karen (2/5): - Beware!! We booked a king size bed superior studio without hot tub. We did not get a king size bed. It clearly was not a 'superior' accommodation. We were required to park our vehicle 200 yards from the lodge. (another name for a cabin) Required to walk up an unlit gravel path back to the lodge unit. The occupants of the attached unit decided not to park in the car park but blocked our drive with their 4x4. The restaurant was having a big 'do' the night of our booking so we could not be accommodated for supper. Not given any notice when we booked. Only found out when we arrived. We were sent to their sister facility 'The Rodney' where we did have a lovely meal. The gentleman checking us in refused to believe that we had booked a superior studio with a king size bed, and until I showed him the listing on Expedia he kept up the charade. He just kept telling me that was possible. So we paid for a king size bed accommodation and was not given the proper unit. In addition, it is a studio unit with only a mini fridge, no cook top or even a microwave. Sadly not really a studio. Beware this is the second time we have stayed here and not been able to eat at the Inn. It is a remote location requiring somewhat of a drive to find food. I would think twice. It has declined over the past few years.

- Jeffrey (10/5): Finals Finished!! - Came for a chillax, after by fiancee had finished her final exams and we weren't disappointed. So quiet, peaceful and wonderful facilities. Food & drink in the pub extremely good and close to lots of really interesting places. We brought our dog as well and he was well catered for, with space for him not to be hassled.

- Lauren (10/5): - We had an amazing experience at the Baiting Lodge. We booked a room as we were attending a wedding. The hosts were very attentive and we were able to check in early before the wedding. Unfortunately taxis arenât great in the area but we were fortunate enough to have a member of staff offer us a lift to the venue which was a life saver! The cooked breakfast the next day was also delicious although a veggie sausage on the vegetarian breakfast would have been nice as the portion was quite small. Shame we didnât get to explore the local area but the welcome pack was useful outlining lots of activities you can do. We would definitely consider coming back!

- Verified traveler (4/5): - Could be a great hotel but the staff desperately need to be trained, the evening waiters/waitresses did not know anything about the food nor care about the customers. The only exception to this as the bar man who was fantastic. The following morning the poor service continued, with the kitchen ignoring my wife's request for no diary and gluten free. The dark haired waitress did not give a monkeys and by the time the toast arrived our breakfasts were completely cold. We left and went to a different hotel for breakfast where the service was second to none!!!

- John (10/5): Wonderful overnight stay - Only stayed for one night and wished we had booked for longer but we were on route to stay with family. The ambiance of the hotel and restaurant is outstanding and it is decorated to a very high standard. We ate in the restaurant and the food was first class in quality and presentation. The bedroom was very comfortable and again the decor was pleasing The only criticism was the fact the remote control for the tv was missing and had to be manually controlled from the side of the tv This was the only negative point in the whole experience Well done to al staff

All the staff were friendly and helpful and the bar with it's several small rooms/areas had a warm friendly feel. This was improved by the fact that many of the locals seem to use it making it very welcoming. The restaurant was also clean and functional with a nice atmosphere with "sensible" background music allowing conversation without shouting. The meals we had were the best we've had in ANY hotel so far and sensibly priced, as were the drinks. All in all no complaints and our stay was an exceptionally enjoyable experience.

The restaurant and decor was lovely and the food was very fancy and delicious but not overpriced at all. I like that they have a separate bar area which was used by the locals and another section out of the way for dining. Breakfast was also delicious. Would definitely stay again.

- Simon (4/5): A little disappointed...! - The check in process was quite painful. When driving into the Car park, it wasn't obvious where to go. Ended up dragging our cases through a busy bar area. Not a good start. The room itself was clean, but lacked facilities, a fridge would have been nice. Our room was next to the kitchen, loud conversations until 11pm. Early check out meant no breakfast, early breakfast couldn't be arranged. So had to drive 7 miles to Tenbury (Tesco) to buy breakfast in the morning, as I was running the Worcester City Run and needed fuel. I felt disappointed with this stay.
- Alan (10/5): Relaxing weekend - Registration was a bit slow but it was Sundy lunchtime and the pub was busy. Reception is at the bar so we had to wait for service. Not a problem. The room was modern, clean, quiet and large for a B&B. Breakfast was good and prompt. The inn has poor phone reception, not their fault but that of the service provider. This fact is mentioned in the welcome booklet. WiFi is good and free but not secure. A most pleasant stay in a good hotel near many interesting places to visit. Recommended.

- shannon (10/5): Lovely cwtchy night in! - Lovely night stay! The room was very nice and clean! Even came with little muffins and a bottle of water! We had a little seat outside our room so my partner didn't have to go far to have a smoke. The price for the night and breakfast was very cheap compared to other places we've stayed. We had pizza in the evening which was very nice, freshly made in a little Pizza Hut by the beer garden. For breakfast there was small spread of cereals and juices. The full Breakfast was very fresh and meat was sourced locally. Overall, a fab stay and will come back in the future.

- Judith (2/5): Poor - Arrived at hotel after log journey to find that they had no room for us. They kept us waiting 20 minutes before they told us that no room had been booked despite hotels.com saying the room was "GUARANTEED". They suggested a sister hotel 15 minute extra drive and that they had sorted it and since we had already paid our money there would be nothing to pay. Sure enough the next morning the sister hotel was demanding payment. We refused because we had already paid in full. Total poor experience
- john (10/5): We shall be back - Great three night stay while exploring the beautiful local countryside & towns. Good mix of âgastroâ pub while still being a âlocalâ . Very comfortable room with huge bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff & locals. Excellent range of beers and cider. Good food inc great outdoor pizza oven. Really god breakfast inc Veg. Option without asking. AND well behaved dogs welcome too! We shall be back.
- Su (10/5): Lovely room - lovely food! - We needed a break in a long journey - so pleased we found Baiting House. It was so clean we thought it had just been refurbished but found out it was 2 years ago! The food was great - we were very impressed!

- Peter (8/5): - Excellent pub/hotel, with friendly staff and very good beer and food. Good spacious clean and comfortable room but the one we had (Holmer) was close to the kitchens and quite noisy, cold store fans, music and clattering about.
- P (10/5): - Excellent hotel, very clean room & bathroom. Good tea making facilities, even provided me with fresh milk when I asked for it for my cuppa! A nice touch was the provision of muffins in a kilner jar to go with the tea/coffee. Fantastic breakfast, presented on lovely crockery, just the right portion not to be outfaced....nice staff. Good information pack in the room.
