• Mirjam Kardol (10/5): Heerlijke locatie - Wel stapel bedden maar dat wist ik van te voren. Geweldige locatie. Heerlijk in het groen. Vlak bij de waterval van schaffhausen. Als je na het diner naar de waterval gaat neem het station bij het kasteel. Daar zijn de poortjes open en kun je gratis dicht bij komen. Kwamen wij toevallig achter. Hou wel rekening dat je vanaf het station de berg op moet (lopen). Je kunt ook de bus nemen. Of lopen hoe de bus rijd. Dat gaat gelijkmatiger omhoog.

• Thang Muon (8/5): Séjour agréable, calme et endroit est magnifique. - Le personnel très gentil et accueillant. L’emplacement est incroyable. La chambre est bien isolé et calme. On fait un séjour très court donc on n’a pas pu profité de tout le reste mais on reviendra pour une prochaine occasion.

• Adela (9/5): - Beautiful hostel in the most peaceful location. Having breakfast outside in the sun, surrounded by greenery and signing birds was dreamy. The staff were lovely and happy to help with anything I needed. The only downside was the lack of sockets by the bed, so charging devices overnight wasn’t really possible.

• Christophe (8/5): Superbe arrêt d'une nuit pour continuer vers l'allemangne. - Le parc arboré avec ses anciens arbres. Le coté relax de l'auberge. L'accueil du personnel très sympa et la possibilité de se garer gratuitement à proximité. Le riche petit déjeuner et le charme ancien et sobre de la bâtisse. Les lieux semblent plutôt usé du coté des sanitaire mais cela correspond avec le charme ancien des lieux.

• Sonia (8/5): Quirky building and lovely staff, made my stay a pleasant one. - Though there was a school party on the floor below, noise didn't travel into the room. Unfortunately, neither did the wifi (it was available in public areas but avoided those as the school party were in them). Showers were clean & water was hot. Breakfast was buffet style, which was good (bread / cheese were really nice). Staff were friendly & very helpful. Ended up with a 4 person room to myself, which was also great. Really easy to get to by bus, from the main train station. Would happily stay again & would certainly recommend. Bed & pillow were a bit too hard for me but still slept well.

• Pauline (9/5): - On the heights of the city (important when you're cycling), in a nice park, a nice building (like a manor), with friendly staff. It reminded me of my childhood holidays at summer camp (they actually host summer camps for kids). Good breakfast, comfy beds. Electric plugs are really missing in the bedroom, and the Wi-Fi is limited on the 2nd floor. Adding curtains to the beds would be a plus, as well as individual lights.

• RICARDO (10/5): A place that I wish I could stay longer - I liked a lot the hostel. They have a very nice breakfast that is included and the surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful. Once you learn how to use the public transportation (buses), is so easy to go to the city center or to the falls (I suggest to buy the daily pass). I also enjoyed the place itself, with a lot of wood, you feel comfortable there and it is different from others hostels. The mattress was very comfortable and I had 3 very good nights of sleep. The only thing that was not good was the internet because it wasn´t available inside the rooms. My room was not in the main house so to get the wifi, I had to go there and at night in the cold and dark was not good moving from the main house to the house where I was sleeping. Even with that situation, I would stay there again for sure. Oh, and If they can put some cushions on the couch of the main room it would become more comfortable and cozy.

• Dave (4/5): Poorly run youth hostel, badly needs updating - Comfortable beds - that’s about it! Poorly run. No towels provided just like the Victorian times. Breakfast was cut off at 9am which was shocking. I have been to many youth hostels, this one is way behind the times. A few days earlier I went to Schaan - it was massively superior compared to this one and also cheaper.

• Karl (4/5): Nie mehr Jugendherberge - Das Personal war freundlich. Der preiswert zu kaufende Wein war gut. Das Frühstück war im Gegensatz zum zugebuchten Abendessen gut und ausreichend vielfältig. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist grotesk schlecht. Dass Zimmer in Jugendherbergen sehr primitiv eingerichtet sind und man die Betten selbst beziehen muss, weiß man ja, oder sollte man wissen. Dass aber für 140 Franken (126 Franken für Jugendherbergswerk-Mitglieder) noch nicht mal ein Waschbecken im Zimmer ist, ist schon ein starkes Stück. Das zugebuchte Abendessen war auf dem Niveau einer Armenspeisung. Die Jugendherberge liegt völlig dezentral weit über der Altstadt. Ich werde meine Mitgliedschaft im Jugendherbergswerk kündigen. Ich weiß wirklich nicht, was daran unterstützenswert sein soll.

I think their effort to work with me made the stay more memor - When I arrived I discovered that I had accidentally booked for the following night, not the night I was planning to be there! The staff was able to talk to a fellow that had booked a 4 person dorm all for himself to see if he would be willing to share. I think the fact that I was an older solo traveler helped him agree to this. We ended up getting along well. I was really impressed that staff at check in were willing to go above and beyond to make my stay possible. Plus, it was a comfortable bed.

• Tim (8/5): Clean and Well Kept Youth Hostel - Quiet location. Probably the cleanest and well kept Youth Hostel I have stayed in. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was fine. A bit of a hike out of town to reach the Hostel...but it was worth the effort!

• Anna (10/5): Until next time! - We had an amazing stay! The staff was really nice and allowed us an early check in and check out, they also answered all our questions both before and during the stay. We spent an amazing couple of days and felt really welcome, the facilities were super pretty and clean, and the outside area was also beautiful. 10/10 The *only* issue we had was the wifi signal being a bit weak in the room, but that did not affect our stay at all.

• Laura (7/5): - El alojamiento juega con diferentes zonas de ocio: Ping pong, voleibol, futbolín, juegos de mesa.. Estuvimos en una habitación de 8 y solo había un enchufe al lado de la puerta para todas las personas de la habitación. Es imprescindible que haya más enchufes y, de ser posible, al lado de cada cama, ya que se trata de habitaciones compartidas, para poder cargar el móvil u otro aparato electrónico con el que viajes.
