- Diane (10/5): - El Fenn is just coming home in Marrakesh vibes. The staff is so friendly, you feel yourself as from the first moment home in a amazing atmosphere. Everything can be organized. The staff and especially Fawti from the breakfast team do everything to give you excellent service for your breakfast.
- Laurent (8/5): - Everything was perfect. But what really left a bitter taste in my mouth is how inneficient, laziness, unwilling to help or simply incompetence call it what you want . But I left a small package at the hotel and was traveling to the rest of Morocco. I called the hotel to have them ship the package I left at there store . I was suprise to see that a hotel that level could not help me. They told me it was impossible , they had no way , no idea how to do such thing . I tried to convince them that there is no way that there is no local transporter . They told me no it doesn’t exist my only solution would be to drive back (I was already in fes) or to have a collect account with dhl. Well, even if I am not from Morocco and I don’t speak Arabic , it didn’t take me long to find a local compagny Ameex ( I am adding it her so try employee of el fenn can know for next client ) . Again there lack of initiative for such a top hotel was mind blowing.

Everything about El Fenn was excellent and as advertised. I rarely give feedback from travels, choosing to write about a place that is very very bad or excellent. In between doesn’t much matter to me. El Fenn? Gets a ten!

The design of the hotel is absolutely stunning. Every room, hallway, and courtyard feels like a piece of art. It’s easily one of the most beautifully designed places we’ve ever stayed. Our room was incredibly comfortable. Everything from the bed, always having a cold bottle of water, to the little details made it feel special and inviting. But what really made the stay unforgettable was the staff. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. We didn’t feel like guests. We felt like we were coming home. What touched us most were the random acts of kindness from the staff, little surprises like complimentary desserts, free drinks, and thoughtful gestures that made us feel truly cared for. It wasn’t just hospitality, it was soulful. Every part of the experience had a touch of magic. Whether we were relaxing on the rooftop, enjoying a quiet moment in the courtyard, or just wandering through the hotel, there was a constant feeling of peace and wonder. El Fenn is more than just a hotel. It is a feeling that stayed with us long after we left. We’re already talking about when we can go back. Truly one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.

- John (10/5): - This is a great hotel - we really enjoyed our stay. It is really beautifully decorated with quiet courtyards and marble staircases. It feels very homely with extremely polite and attentive staff. The location is perfect - steps away from the bustle of the medina, yet not too hidden away down alleyways - definitely an oasis of calm to relax in after a morning wandering the souks. The rooftop restaurant was superb - plentiful breakfasts, and the best food we ate in Marrakech for dinner. The rooftop terrace as a whole was the best we visited, with separate areas for the restaurant, bar (with a great atmosphere in evenings) and the pool area. The rooftop pool was impressively sized: there were two smaller pools on the ground floor as well but the roof one was definitely the best. It's not cheap. Other riads may have similar beautiful interiors (although unlikely such a nice pool, most look more decorative). The small room was smaller than I expected, and we didn't have a bath (most of the pictures on their website do...) There's an extra mandatory daily service charge of around 30 euros. However the overall set up is incredibly welcoming and relaxing, the location perfect, the food delicious, and we would definitely stay again tomorrow if we could.

- MZ (8/5): - Beautiful property, friendly staff- all very helpful and genuinely kind. I found significant issues with the rooms though - from a shower that backed up flooding the WC, to mold on bathroom walls ( large areas covered in mold not little bits) a clogged, old hand shower, very spotty WiFi, heat out entirely in one room ( attributed the issue to a storm however it had began the day before) wobbly, unkept furniture, lounge chair on which the bottom had given out, loose, old bathroom faucets that were all loose and wobbly etc. For the price of the rooms (or any cost for that matter) I found all these things unacceptable. I brought up some of the significant issues to the staff while there(backed up plumbing etc) and was moved to 3 different rooms during my stay. The staff was accommodating but spent a lot of time apologizing (I felt so bad for them) I am a kind and reasonable person and I fault the facilities manager - Focus needs to expand to the basic function and care of the units and not rely so much on the “optics” and aesthetics to carry the property through. The things I noticed seemed chronic and to not have been tended to for a long time (like the mold covering a huge part of the wall- that would take months) To experience issues with BASIC ESSENTIALS like the bathrooms seems inexcusable. The service staff is kind and lovely but I will not stay here again. Whoever is in charge of maintenance of the units needs a talking to by ownership.

Mooie kamers en 's avonds veranderd El Fenn in een sprookje met veel kaarsen, verlichting, open vuurtjes etc. Het personeel doet er alles aan om het je naar de zin te maken. De kamers zijn stuk voor stuk schitterend ingericht. Noah, Bell, Ilham en Achraf (guest service) zijn geweldig in het uitzoeken van wat er te doen is qua uitstapjes eten etc.

You cannot lock your room which I found to be strange, I had no issues and my stuff was fine but I found it strange that the rooms had no key and could not be locked. With the exception of the person that checked me in, a very nice lady that was there during the evening and one of the bar tenders, I found the rest of the staff to be cold and impersonal. The staff at the rooftop area where they serve breakfast was very impersonal and slow. I would recommend coming for lunch and taking advantage of the photo opportunities but unfortunately I would not recommend staying here. There are much better Riads with more personal service and nice rooms for far less money. Although the room I had was spectacular, there was no heat on one of the coldest nights and no one to answer the phone when I called about it. This place shuts down after a certain time which surprisingly at the smaller Riads someone is always at the reception desk. I went back and forth between whether to book at La Mamounia or here and chose El Fenn because of the uniqueness of the rooms but for the price I paid I expected a certain level of service which I felt was lacking here. There was also an issue with the housekeeping not cleaning the room well, they comped some charges to the room to compensate but they argued with me over it before just offering to waive the fees. Again great spot for pics and food but not sure about staying

- john (8/5): - The staff were really friendly and nice and the breakfast was really nice. I didnt like the room though for 2 reasons, first it was very dark at night even with all the lights on. Secondly there is no privacy for the bathrooms. It was a family 2 bedroom apartment but the toilet was visible from the bedroom as was the rest of the bathroom. It made it uncomfortable and hard to relax. Putting a solid door on the bathroom would have easily solved the issue.

- Samantha (10/5): A beautiful gem in the heart of the Medina - An incredible boutique hotel experience. A perfect balance of 'being waited on' so you feel pampered (become stationary for too long and a waiter will appear out of no where and deliver you a glass bottle of water and snacks) but not too distant from real Marrakech life to feel you're missing out on the real thing. The riad itself is a feast for the eyes with it's pieces of art and incredibly furniture pieces (whose arrangement was constantly updated) which means during our 10 day stay we never got bored of just being in the riad, relaxing. The 3 different pools means after a few hours out in the heat, there will always be somewhere for you to take a dip. A stone's throw from the medina, so plenty things to see, shop and eat within walking distance. Highly recommended! There's simply no need to travel around when you're somewhere this good!
- Alexis (10/5): Luxury at Riad El Fenn - Staying at Riad El Fenn was one of the greatest hotel experiences I’ve had. The grounds were stunning. The staff was warm, friendly, and super responsive and accommodating. They made suggestions and all our reservations they helped us navigate the winding roads of the souk and negotiate taxi fees. They are family. I love the Riad El Fenn thought of every tiny detail - it made the stay even more incredible. We couldn’t be any happier with our choice and have started thinking about when we could go back. I recommend this hotel to everyone.
- Chadwick (10/5): Oozes charm and culture - We debated heavily between El Fenn and the Amanjena property outside of town. In the end, we chose El Fenn and could not have been happier with our stay. The moment you enter the colorful and infinitely Instagrammable property from a side street inside the Medina (but with very easy access to other parts of town), you enter a secret garden in a different world. Our room - the Red Room - on the top floor was an interior, large room off of one of several courtyards throughout the property. Essentially, El Fenn is a collection of riads artfully tied together. We paid more for the large category and it was worth it. Huge bedroom, wood fireplace, giant bathroom, cozy bedding, and an El Fenn "newspaper" that serves as a menu, guide, map, and general interest go-to on all things Marrakech. Evening drinks and morning breakfast on the rooftop - with the call to prayer wailing - never disappointed. And given the manageable size of the Medina and outlying parts of the city, you cannot beat the location. Because we were with a large group for a milestone birthday party, we did not eat at the hotel other than breakfast but it was top-notch with a delicious shakshuka on offer. All in all, highly recommended.
- ali (6/5): overpriced - Nice Riyad. Overpriced for a room overlooking the street with no bathroom door, no tv, toilet and shower the same space. Otherwise nice and clean. Nothing special. Has a good restaurant. No music. Central location. Breakfast on the roof with no ceiling so good luck if it is raining. I would stay there at a third of the price.
- Nikos (10/5): Excellent service from the whole team - We stayed at El Fenn as part of our 10 year anniversary trip. The whole team was very helpful and very friendly the entire duration of our stay. The place if very nicely designed with beautiful art all over, and nicely decorated rooms. The views from the terrace are wonderful. On our anniversary the hotel arranged rose petals all over the room and gave us an upgrade to one of the XL rooms which was an absolutely amazing touch that made our day even more special. We will certainly be staying here again, and will be recommending this to any of our friends going to Marrakech.
- Rich (10/5): Lovely Riad in the Medina - Stayed 3 days in El Fenn. Highly recommend the set lunch. Dinner in the restaurant on our final night was very good. We decided to use an El Fenn recommended guide for a tour of the Medina, he was insightful and we got to see all aspects of the Medina including Mosques, museums, workshops, he also helped us identify the range of quality of goods on offer in the souks as well as the highest prices to pay. El Fenn was a lovely working Riad that allows you space to relax on the roof terrace in the sun or relax in the shade in one of the many quiet spaces in and around the Riad. It has 3 pools and a spa. It is within a short work of the main square that come to life from dusk onwards.
- Jessica (10/5): Stylish Riad with Excellent Service - The property is beautiful with unique touches throughout, including original art. The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming and no request was too much. We stayed in the Annex, where the rooms are a little smaller. We had the full service of anything at the hotel and a staff member, Hamouda, assigned full time just to those five rooms. Hamouda walked us to restaurants and picked us up, made reservations, and was a wonderful bright spot on our trip. Breakfast on the roof was delicious and had a great view.

- John (8/5): Do not go to Marrakech. - Marrakech has been magical for centuries. But it is becoming less and less so. I first travelled there 30 years ago and I was thoroughly intoxicated by the experience. Unfortunately, the experience now feels much too similar to visiting a combination of Disney World/Ibiza/and an outlet mall. Much of what is sold in the median is worthless trash, but not all of it. The newer hotels, including El Fenn, are all about that Miami Beach/Ibiza vibe. The new restaurants that are all the rage are part food and part Miami Beach/Ibiza night clubs. Even some of the old fabulous restaurants found in beautiful riads, like Dar Yacout, have become mechanical in their approach to hospitality. "If you don't enjoy your experience with us, it is OK. A million more tourists like you will be here after you leave."..... an attitude often found in cities like Paris. Avoid Marrakech. But do go to Morocco. Most of it is still absolutely intoxicating.
- susan (10/5): stunning property lovely people excellent service - absolutely gorgeous experience - start to finish. with the most beautiful rooms and common spaces, riad el fenn is one very special place. the food is beyond delicious, the staff is incredibly friendly, inviting, helpful and so kind. you must get a hammam while there - what a luxurious experience. the property is just inside the walls of the medina and steps away from the souks, yet it feels worlds away and is within walking distance of all the action. the ONLY place to stay in marrakech. this property is heaven on earth - truly!

- David (10/5): Beautiful at Every Turn - No matter where you look, the El Fenn is beautiful. There are nooks everywhere to curl up and relax. We booked a Large room but was upgraded to a two-room house, which had a tub in the living room, a wood-burning fireplace, a huge terrace, and a huge shower with two rainforest showerheads. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff was always happy to help. One weird thing that I didn't realize was the hotel doesn't have locks on the doors. You can stow your passport in the room safe though.
- joseph (8/5): Understand Your Potential Placement In Annex - Stay stated of poorly-placed in annex without informed consent. Annex is some distance away waling through a maze of twisting and turning alley-way like paths between buildings. It would be easy to get lost trying to return to main hotel without help. We were very angry about this dis-location from the main Riad. However, for the second and third nights we were placed in an excellent room above reception. The manager on duty did an excellent job of understanding our extreme dislike of the annex and worked with us. All in all this is an exceptional place to stay.

- Rubi (8/5): Hidden Gem of a Riad - This place is fab, really enjoyed our stay. Top tip - get the staff to light a fire in your room and enjoy a glass of red!
- CM (10/5): Beautiful riad in the heart of Marrakech - This riad is beautiful, centrally located, and has an extremely friendly staff. Each room in the riad has its own special charm and character. The common areas and terraces are well-maintained and the hotel has extremely interesting decor. The staff is very helpful and kind.
- JP (2/5): - Deceived by the “Annex” - Booked the Annex by accident, the distinction between the two sites not being explained in the Expedia app - Separate building >5 min walk away from the main hotel - Path to it winds through confusing alleyways not marked on Google maps, which means they cannot be navigated easily without hotel staff (and it’s not recommended not to walk them alone at night) Disappointing Room - Tiny - Only source of light is the French door entrance, which must be left covered for privacy - No lock on the doors (security is assured by the staff instead) - Tiny bathroom with ceiling at low height requiring crouching to move through it - Found a very large hair ball stuck to the shower wall - Sewage smell in the bathroom Cheated on Transportation - Asked for a taxi to the airport, and a “driver” was arranged (difference in cost: 50 dirhams vs 300 dirhams) and I was made to take it because he had already arrived – meanwhile, several taxis sit outside the hotel - Then, I was overcharged for the ride! - To add to the insult, discovered at the airport another hotel guest in an equally empty 300 dirham van right behind mine Perhaps the rooms in the main hotel are nicer, but I hardly believe even they are worth their price (coming from someone who regularly stays at 4-5 star hotels). The rooms in the Annex at (~1/2 - 2/3 the price) are most certainly not worth it, as there is an abundance of other riads in Marrakesh that offer the same or better quality for far less.
- Camille (10/5): Great Riad but the Annex is not an Annex - Beautiful Riad, service and staff. However, they sell the Annex as part of the same Riad and is not. It is a 5 minute walk, beautiful but much less luxurious and less convenient. The staff at the Annex (his name is Hamouda), called Little Sister, is super!

- Sarah (10/5): Probably the best Riad in Marrakesh - This riad was an oasis of calm and tranquillity. The service was excellent, the room stunning and the food was great. The design is also amazing and there are lots of quiet places to sit. The spa was great with the massage top quality. One minor quibble would be that a lot of the wine was corked. We opened four bottles without finding one uncorked one evening, which I found embarrassing but perhaps that's because I'm British and hate sending things back. Especially when the staff are trying so hard. My friend and I are planning to book our return with immeadiate effect for next year. Without doubt, this is one of the best places to stay in Marrakesh.
- LP (10/5): Outsanding place with aa cool vibe - Everything was perfect. Even the smallest rooms are comfortable and spacious. Only downside is the noisy air conditionning system.
- Simon (10/5): A Private Santuary - Really enjoyed our stay here at El Fenn. We had the room on the Groud Floor which was super spacious. However, there is no door between the bedroom and the bathroom/ toilet. Amazing hospitality shown by every staff member. Amble facility inside the riad which inc 3 swimming pools, spa centre, rooftop restaurant and afternoon tea served in the courtyard. Turtles freely walk around the courtyard and by George, they walk fast! I could spend hours just watching them. Oh, that gift shop is beauiful. Highly reccomend asking the Riad to prebook a private driver to pick you up fr the airport. For any first time travellers to Morocco, best NOT to haggle for your first trip with a taxi driver.
- Jake (10/5): Beautiful isn't the word. - This place is an idyllic oasis of calm within the Medina quarter of Marrakech. Down a non-assuming alleyway, a sturdy door opens to something very special indeed. Polite and courteous staff attend to your every need. And the place itself...we had one of the cheaper Courtyard rooms, but have never stayed anywhere like it. Cavernously tall ceilings (and air con) kept the room cool, the decor was taste itself - and the marble bath was so vast it clearly had to be custom built. We had a fountain and trees within the courtyard outside our room - and even a family of tortoises. (At night just watch where you step!) Artwork adorns the walls throughout the riad. And up one of the winding staircases, the large rooftop terrace has great views over the city and serves high quality food and drink. It even has a small pool to relax around, in addition to the others at ground level. Highly recommended. And maybe 'beautiful' is the word, after all.
- Babyblackbird (8/5): Great hotel in fantastic location - A hotel full of character and charm. Fantastic roof gardens and plunge pools as well as hide away spots to sit and read. Very helpful and friendly staff. Overall good value for money.
- Adam (10/5): The nicest riad I've ever stay in. - We spent a total of 3 nights and 4 days at Riad El Fenn. It's perfectly located near the Jemaa el-Fnaa square, on the airport side of the Medina and with quick and easy access to the side and back of the main souk (the best bits). We found it to be in easy walking distance from the Jardin Majorelle and Bahia Palace as well. The room we stayed in was the largest I'd ever been in (it was possibly higher than it was long), the food served was excellent and the family of tortoises the live there are a lovely touch. Waking up to birdsong and a fresh pot of coffee every morning was a lovely start to the day.
- TravelEcuador (10/5): Beautiful Hotel & Fabulous Service - Riad El Fenn is an exquisite hotel in the Medina of Marrakesh with easy access to all of Marrakesh's attractions. The hotel specifically caters to Western tourists and the staff speak fluent English. The staff is very accommodating to foreigners and helped us make the most of our time in Marrakesh.
